I can't rate this place enough! Everything about this place was excellent. My husband and I came here on a Sunday night. The place was packed! I had prawns and my husband had chicken satay as starters. Both were very tasty. For mains my husband had steak and I had chicken with a leek and mustard sauce. It was excellent. We also had vegetables and roasted potatoes on the side and those were lovely. The crumble for dessert was delicious. The service was fantastic considering how busy the restaurant was and the food was gorgeous. Highly recommend this restaurant!

We dined in the Courtyard Restaurant for lunch on Sunday the 23/07/2011. We have dined in this restaurant, several times on evening menu and have always found the standard of the food ,service, ambience and value excellent. However I thought that the food on Sunday lunch was not their usual standard. However as I have had several excellent tasty meals here I would recommend them as a very good place to eat for evening meals anyway

Went here on the city deals voucher. The food was excellent. Gamberi and chiken skewers for starters and beef and guinness pie for main courses. I'm a bit cautious about pies as sometimes you get poor quality meat, but this was not the case here. The pie was excellent. Dessert was apple crumble and merangue -again excellent. It represents very good value even without the voucher. I was pleasantly suprised and would definitely go again.

This place is excellent. A warm greeting as soon as you walk in the door, then the staff were really friendly throughout the whole meal. The food was excellent and large portoins too. The tempura prawns in bang bang sauce were delicious and the fillet steak was perfect. Definitely will return here. Very good value for money too.

I cannot find any fault with the Courtyard Restaurant. My husband and I visited on a CityDeal voucher, which was termendous value, but even without it the Courtyaard offers terrific value and great food. I had fish cakes followed by cod, mushy peas and chips, and my other half had duck spring rolls followed by steak! The portion sizes were just right and the service was quick, friendly and efficient. The restaurant has a nice, reasonably priced selction of wine. We will be returning. A word of warning - if you intend having a drink (or more) in the bar before your meal bring your spare wallet. a glass of water and a small glass of wine was €8! Toilets were fine

Late decision (17:00) to go for early bird so booked table for 7 people at 17:30. Arrived and promptly shown to table. Ordered the special on wine advertised on menupages a bottle for 12.95. Have to say wine was delisious for price. Great choice on menu we had 3 brie, 2 prawn salad, i vol au vont and 1 duck spring roll. All were delicious though 12 year old found brie a bit strong but that was her rather than cheese as we finished it off. Main courses again great choice and we had 4 roast beef, 2 chicken and 1 noodles with chicken. All were delicious mind you the veg accompaniment was a bit strange as it seemed to be in a thai red curry sauce which mixed with the roast beef and gravy was a bit overpowering but worked with the chicken. Good choice of desserts all o which were tasty. At 18.95 represented great valure and we will continue to come here

Have eaten here many many times, last visit was in january 2011 when I hadnt been for a little while. Nothing had chnaged - it was still as good as ever! The service here is always excellent from the moment you arrive. We did have to wait a good bit in the bar as it was so busy but I dont mind as the value and the food is so good. We had the early bird menu on a saturday night this time. So many choices on it, its always changing so you never get bored. Every persons 4 courses were lovely and tasty and the portions are very good. You are never rushed here either so its always a relaxed experience. Even if you come for the EB, you are never made to feel like you should leave the table, yet its always busy and full. Keep up the good work.

Decided at the last minute to go out for dinner on a Monday night and decided to try the Courtyard as had not been in a few years.... was pleasantly surprised. The staff were extremly friendly and helpful. Food was nice would give it 7 out of 10... we had the early bird, so 2 starters, 2 mains (one was a steak), 2 deserts, a mineral and a bottle of wine all for €53... you cant go to wrong with that!

I ate here at a relations birthday party. Despite it being a very large party the service was both efficient and smiling. We ordered off the early bird menu which offered a very good choice of food at a very affordable price. I personally had a garlic mushroom starter followed by a beef and guinness pie both of which were very good in taste, temperature and portion size. My desert was a passion fruit cake which was most enjoyable. Everyone else on my table agreed that the food was very good The location of this establishment is ideal for anyone either living in or visiting Swords. On the night we were there the atmosphere was very good in a very well lit, nicely decorated and spacious dining room. I really enjoyed my visit here the only gripe was that if you wanted to order a drink with your dinner you had to go to the bar yourself. I would return here again and I would recommend it as a place to eat in Swords.

We had the Early Bird Special menu that finishes at 8pm on Sunday, it was lovely food and tasted very good and the service was friendly. The restaurant is much nicer than the bar section which is very dark. The wine was good and overall a nice meal. I think I will come back again.

Went for the early bird 10 days before christmas and the food was just beautiful. The service was a small bit slow because the restaurant was so packed, but the staff were extrememly attentive and polite. I got the vegetable soup which was delicious, but so filling that I only ate half the bowl to make room for my main. Friends also got the duck spring rolls and brie starter and everyone thought the food was top notch, The brie was apparently really good. Everybody on the table besides me and one other got steak and said it was beautiful, I got turkey and ham and it was cooked perfectly, but the best part of the main was the half new potatoes which were so simple but cooked perfectly. I was so stuffed I ate about two spoonfulls of banoffie for desert, but every bite was divine, I will definitely be back. All of this for 18.95, can't think of anywhere at this price with the food so good!

Had a very enjoyable meal here on Saturday night. Booked for 6.30 so could avail of the early bird dinner menu (5.30 -6.30 on sat). Excellent value with a good choice of starters, main and deserts for 18.95. We had the tiger prawns, caesar salad and vegetable soup for starters. The tiger prawns were particularly good. For main, we decided on the cod and chips with mushy peas and supreme of chicken. All good. Deserts were very generous with the pavlova being the clear winner.. lovely marshmallow with generous cream and fruit topping. The service was prompt and pleasant and we were not rushed to leave the restaurant. We finished our tea and coffee and wine in a leisurely fashion and vacated our table at 10pm. A most enjoyable and relaxed evening and will certainly return.

Sometimes you visit here and its great and other times I leave disappointed! The early bird and special menus are great value but I feel the a la carte isn't all that! I love their duck spring rolls though and the place is always busy and has a good atmosphere!

We return here time after time for 2 simple reasons. 1) Good food and 2) Excellent value. The early bird menu is available every evening unlike most restaurants (Mon-Thurs) and at 18:95 for a 4 course meal is excellent value. But the quality of the food is never compromised and is always of a high standard. Service can be slow on busier nights and be sure to book in advance to avoid disappointment. Have not had a bad meal here in over 30 visits.

This place is very good value for money. What it lacks in modern and edgy glamour it wholly makes up for in good food and value for money. When my parents visit Dublin from the country, we always hit this spot. The food is uncomplicated and wholesome with good service and low cost. The menu is entirely satisfying and fills all theneeds for comfort food, an ordinary dinner with the extras. It is a great spot for family celebrations and trascends the generations in likes and dislikes for food, as is obvious when dining there, all ages merge and enjoy the food which is what a restaurant is about. This place epitomises value for money.

Value for money is the best way to talk about this restaurant. We went for the early bird at 5.30 on Saturday evening. A table for 6 and not one negative comment. 18.95 for four courses. Starters and Main Course were fresh and of a high standard. The deserts were a little disappointing. Instead of tea or coffee I requested a latte and it was not a problem. The restaurant was 100% full and that says it all. We'll be back and defo for an early bird.

Myself & my partner recently dined in the Courtyard restaurant in the Carnegie Court hotel & i have to say we were very impressed. Everything form the welcome the service and the food was excellent. The staff are remarkable and attentive and we were not left waiting even though they were very busy. I will recommend the Courtyard to all my family & friends and look forward to returning in the near future.

Was here for Sunday lunch with my family. The service was fantastic and the menu was great value for a large group. This was my second visit to the courtyard recently, having been in for an early bird meal with my partner previously and we both agreed we will be back as often as we can with friends AND family. Keep up the great work guys!!!!!

Had Valentines Night here and it was brilliant the food was gorgeous and great value and not like some other restaurants were they push you out on Valentines so they can get more people in. Have eaten the early bird menu here a few times and it never fails to impress always great value will be back again many more times

Been here a few times for the early bird, its really good value for money, the set menu if broad and serves most tastes. Their baby patatoes are great and the steaks worth the extra 2 euro. The decores very elegant and cosy. On more then one occasion we have been left waiting for a table for 20-30 mins in the bar area when we have a booked tables in advanced but this is understandable as it is a hotel resturant the staff are nice and its great value for money anyone i have refered this plae to loves it!

I really like this restaurant, although part of a hotel it has a nice restaurant atmosphere and you are always made to feel very welcome no matter how busy they are. the early bird menu is fantastic value and this is generally when I eat here. Although the A La carte is really good also. i would recommend the Courtyard to anyone.

Booked the early bird here (again) for 18 people for a Sunday celebration. I always recommend this restaurant as being the best in Swords for great food and value. You would think that the service would be all over the place with a big number at the table but the staff were in excellent form once again. The Maitre'd always makes everyone feel very welcome and the staff here I have found pleasant and helpful. I had the chicken strips to start with , they were ok , sort of tasty chicken nuggets followed by the baked salmon, this was beautiful and lots of it I couldn't finish it. Suffice it to say that there were nothing but good reports from all at the table who were all very happy with the meal. I have read over the reviews preceding this and they all agree that the food here is very good standard.

The Early bird in this place is the best value. You get a three course meal + Tea/Coffee for less than €20. There is a good choice of starters and mains. The services is efficient and the restaurant itself is nice and cosy!

Ate here on Saturday night.Have tried(and failed) on two occasions to get a table for the very popular early bird so in the end settled for the a la carte sitting.Front of house people seemed under pressure and just rushed us into the bar as our table wasnt ready. In the rush they forgot to give us menus and we had to go back out and ask for them. Bar staff were equally rushed and not particularly helpful. We were brought to our table within 15 minutes.Very comfortable and cosy setting. The food was delicious- very tasty and decent portions. However, the service again wasnt the best. While our waitress was pleasant afew simple requests we made were just ignored or maybe not fully understood.Once we got our food nobody came back to check on us. Overall-great food but service could be improved.

We had a lovely family dinner here on Sunday evening. We ordered from the early bird which was great value. Vegetable soup for starters was lovely, roast beef and stir fry for mains was delicious. Also included were some gorgeous roasted veg and potato wedges in a sweet chilli sauce. And for dessert, strawberry cheese cake, trifle and apple pie, all of which were fab. Tea and coffee followed, all for 75 euro for 4 of us!!! Will be back here really soon, staff were efficient and friendly, and the food quality was excellent.

Visited for the first time with two girl friends and had the early bird menu. Excellent value for money. We all chose the same meals, "Garlic mushrooms" for starters. Very tasty but maybe a little overdone. The "steak with pepper sauce" was gorgeous. Two generous sauce boats of sauce to share. A lovely sauce with an unusual but delicious extra flavour to it. Steak came sitting on top of bed of mash with roasted tomato. A large bowl of roasted veg and another of roasted potatoes to accompany it all. We then had desserts. One apple pie, one strawberry cheesecake (me)which was really really light and one trifle. The trifle portion was huge but my friend not too keen as thought too much cream which put her off. Two coffees and one tea to round it all off. All that for €25.00 a head (including the usual tip). The only complaint was that we were all driving so could not enjoy a nice glass of wine but will bring Mr. Boop soon and make sure we have a taxi on standby.

We had the early bird here last week and it was just ok. We both started with garlic bread which was very poor, you could hardly taste the garlic. The mains of steak and vegetable korma were a big improvement, both were tasty and nicely served. The desserts were fine if a bit boring.

Took two English visitors to Swords and due to reviews on Menupages chanced the Courtyard which I had never heard of. It was excellent and they both were glowing in thier praise as indeed were we. Best value early bird I've had and it's a pity it's not on the south side.

I went for dinner here last weekend. We went for the early bird menu which is excellent value. 3 courses + tea or coffee for €17.95!!! I had carbonara for main course - it was OK, but I've had better. My boyfriend had steak and he said it was fab. Great choice on the menu, the decor is very relaxing and the staff are very efficient and friendly. Would definitely recommend it.

Have to say this is probably the best early bird menu around in terms of value. For just 17.95 you have a pretty good choice and service and atmosphere were also very good. Highly recommended for value if nothing else

I have been to this restaurant 3 times now and each time the food has been excellent. The front of house manager can sometimes be a bit abrupt, but then you're there for the food, not for him. Not the cheapest of nights out, but definitely a place for special occasions!

Sunday 4th my family & I had the pleasure of enjoying a wonderful meal in the Courtyard Restaurant. It had been recommened by a relative who frequents often. It was busy when we arrived at about 6pm. We were shown to our table promptly & presented with our menus. I have to say we were spoilt for choice. We had 2 young children with us and the staff were great with them. It is so nice to feel so welcome, get great food & great service. We'll certainly go back. In all we would be happy to recommend The Courtyard Restaurant

Well, what can I say about this restaurant? Firstly when you go in you will be greeted by a manager who has a manner not suited for front of house. He likes to check his time on his watch every time you arrive. Highly annoying to say the least. Then somehow they always want to put you in beside the entrance to the kitchen! Staff have a general bad attitude, which was felt by both of us.

What a disappointment this restaurant turned out to be, after reading all the positive comments we decided we would go there on Saturday night for my boyfriends birthday, the table for 6 people was booked for 8.30pm, we were told to have a drink as it wasn’t ready when we got there, after a couple of times asking about the table we were finally seated at 9.20pm, given menus for a set meal and told the ala cart menu's would be with us in a few mins there wasn’t enough to go around every table!! our starter arrived at 10.10pm minus 1 persons, everyone was nearly finished when his eventually came out, then our main course arrived at about 10.40, have to say the steak was very nice indeed, desert was just average. The Maitre D was very apologetic and said something had happened in the kitchen that was beyond their control. Also the menu is TOTALLY different to what is advertised on this web site which was a pity as the menu they gave us was mostly limited to fish and steak. While they gave us a reduction in the bill I would have preferred for the table to be ready at the right time and pay full price for dinner that we were supposed to have at maybe 9pm if all was in order. Maybe this was just a one off but they should have told us when we arrived there they were having problems, we probably would have went somewhere else..

We booked on Friday for the early bird and arrived only to be told that the early bird times had changed and that we would have to pay full fare. We asked as it was only 2 mins past if they could squeeze us in and the Maitre'D did manage to get us a seat. We really wish we hadn’t bothered. My starter was cold in the centre and skidded across the table to me as the waitress thumped it down. Once finished it was whisked away where we got to take in the ambiance of screaming children and really loud music??? 20 mins later our main course arrived - I had the steak which I have to admit was wonderful.. But the fact that children were running by our table really detracted from the meal. My partner had the fish which he enjoyed but said hi veg was over cooked. I had dessert which was quite nice but again was thrown at me by the waitress - when asking for the bill we were again left to wait for quite a while (maybe waiting for us to ask for coffees??) and we paid and left. It was such a shame as the restaurant has such promise but they need to sort out their wait staff and make sure that food is hot all the way through. We left wishing the Maitre'D hadn’t done us the favour of getting us the table. We were glad we hadn’t had to pay the full price for the meal i.e. the early bird as the ambiance and service would have made it not worth the effort

Visited this restaurant on a busy father's day and to be quite honest didn't expect a whole lot. How wrong I was. Great food, great service, friendly staff and above all, great value. 7 of us dined off the early bird menu, which offered a great choice to suit all. Food was top class and portion size very generous. 3 course meal plus tea/coffee for €17.95pp!! Service was friendly and attentive and I will not hesitate to return very soon and recommend to all.

Myself and my partner had the pleasure of dining here last night. Beautiful food with quantity and quality in abundance. I got the Asian chicken salad for starter. The chicken was warm and succulent with lovely vegetables and salad accompanying it. For main I got the half duck with orange sauce. Just like the starter, it was beautiful. My partner got the potato and pudding starter. He left nothing on the plate. For main he ordered the surf and turf. Two beautifully cooked 4oz fillets of steak with half a lobster. Again, beautiful. The staff were very efficient and pleasant. Overall, I would recommend the courtyard for an evening meal.

Absolutely love this restaurant. I have been there at least a dozen times in the last year...service is excellent and very quick. The food, be it the early bird menu or later in the evening is superb. The Early Bird is fantastic value, duck spring rolls, steak, dessert, tea etc all for under €20...Can’t beat it!

I have eaten in the Courtyard Restaurant on a number of occasions and have always enjoyed it. The food and service is always excellent and in particular the Early Bird is excellent value at only €17.95. They have recently revamped their menus, which is great when you are a frequent visitor. Can not be faulted!

This restaurant offers a fantastic early bird menu for approx €16 which includes 3 courses plus tea and coffee. The food is very well presented and customers can expect to get value for money. The service is very efficient and staff are very helpful. This is my local restaurant and I have recommended it to family and friends that have been very happy with their experience.
