The Windmill Seafood & Steakhouse 5.0 star review: It will be hard to fault the Windmill restaurant, and easy to praise it. Why? Not only is the Windmill's atmosphere warm, welcoming and spacious, the food was both generous and delicious. We were delighted with the layout of the restaurant and myself and my husband were brought to a table for two with minimum fuss. The service was exceptionally professional, and having noticed that other customers had brought their drinks into the restaurant from the adjoining 'Snug' pub, we copped on that the two businesses were linked and that customers could bring with them whatever drinks they might have enjoyed in the bar. I had been looking forward to sampling the food here for a few weeks, and called on a Friday to secure the Saturday booking with no problem.
Starters were generous and tasty chicken wings and the kind of French Onion soup that was on a par with New York's best. Mains were BBQ ribs and the Jack Daniels pork chop. Try this if you can - it really was special. I'm sure there were sides but we honestly enjoyed ourselves so much I don't remember what we got. We were prepared to pay a bit more than usual seeing as this place specialises in steaks, but this was not necessary - our two courses with wine came to a very frugal 59 euros, and we happily left a 10% tip for the attentive professional serving staff. Congratulations to all the hard-working staff at Windmill, we cannot wait to go back.

The Windmill Seafood & Steakhouse 5.0 star review: This was my first time in this restaurant and I have to say, it won't be my last. The venue itself and decor was charming, the staff were attentive without being over the top. And the food - gorgeous! Portions were very reasonable, not too big, not too small, I had a goat's cheese parcel to start with the duck two ways for mains and a rhubarb crumble for dessert. It was all flawless. We were a big party of nine and all the meals were delicious, well presented and all came together.

Would recommend this restaurant very highly.

The Windmill Seafood & Steakhouse 4.0 star review: This the second time i have visited this lovely little restaurant and i have not been disappointed either time,
Its great to see local sea side towns selling good fish at the right price because although were an island nation we don't eat enough fish and i think its a lot to do with the cost and the quality of the finished product.
But there is none of that here every thing we had was very fresh and reasonably priced.
They have a lovely house white for €20 a bottle that's really easy drinking and the service is busy but efficient.
Ill certainly be back in the near future, (I can here the prawns and scallops calling already)

The Windmill Seafood & Steakhouse 5.0 star review: I ate here with some friends last Monday. As soon as we walked in we knew we had made a good choice. We were given delicious freshly baked bread as soon as we sat down. I had the mushroom risotto to start which was full of flavour, followed by a rib eye steak which was cooked to perfection. We all had Eton Mess for dessert which was nice but could've had a little more cream to balance out the meringue. Other than that it was probably the best meal i've had out in Skerries in years. We'll definitely be back.
