La Sirena Mexican Restaurant 4.5 star review: Visited this restaurant yesterday with my husband and were quite impressed with it! The food was gorgeous and plentiful. It came out piping hot. We had nachos and wings for starters and meatballs and burrito for mains, all washed down with a glass of sangria! We were too full to even consider dessert! We will definitely be visiting this place again. It's good value for money and the service was very good. And to add to the atmosphere, the restaurant has a lovely view of Malahide bay.

La Sirena Mexican Restaurant 5.0 star review: Booked La Sirena for lunch as we love Mexican food!! We brought our 3yr old daughter also. Firstly the view from inside the restaurant looking out at the Malahide coastline is beautiful. The atmosphere was really relaxed, easy going and so child friendly! The waiter couldn't have been nicer, he let us mix and match our daughters meal, which arrived out very promptly so she had lots of time to eat it. While we were eating out mains, he also brought out colours and colouring books and ice cream to keep her entertained while we ate in peace. The food was gorgeous. The fajitas were to die for!! We didn't have any vouchers but 1 child's meal with ice cream, 1 shared starters of nachos, 1 coke and 2 mains were only €38, which I thought was very reasonable priced. It was so yummy we're heading back again for my birthday, this time we're leaving our 3yr old at home so we can enjoy the cocktails!!!!

La Sirena Mexican Restaurant 3.0 star review: Tried the early bird menu & whilst the food was tasty (if a little on the spicy side) was not impressed with the portion sizes especially of the main courses and the fact that mains are not accompanied by sides at any time. Overall enjoyed the food but the prices are a bit too high for what you receive. Better value to be had elsewhere for same price or cheaper.

La Sirena Mexican Restaurant 4.5 star review: I have attended this restaurant on a couple of occasions. All times the food was very good and was great value. They regularly do deals which are great value and they also do an early bird. They also do buckets of corona and sol etc. Great food and beer by the bucket what more could you want :)

La Sirena Mexican Restaurant 5.0 star review: Visited this place over the Xmas with a couple of friends. I had never been before but had heard some really good reports. We were not disappointed. First impressions so welcoming and really cosy with very cool decor. I knew straight away I was going to love this place. There was such a buzz in the air, staff were so welcoming. Food was yummy I ordered the Prawn Tostado, it was so fresh and tasty, the rest on the table ordered the nachos, crab cake and something else ... cant remember but everybody loved their starters. I had the fillet medium rare it was melt in the mouth and the jalapeno fritters were so zingy. Glad we had some pitchers of Margarita to wash it down. The rest of the table got meatballs, stuffed chile (for my veggie friend, she said she was in heaven !!) and of course their was a chicken fajita ordered. We all agreed that everything was so fresh and full of flavour. They were really busy but that did not affect that service, there was a perfect break in between courses. Music is really nice south American. Generally just a very cool vibe through out the night. We stayed until about 1am chatting and drinking and felt under no pressure to leave. This is one restaurant we all cannot wait to go back to and we are already planning our next visit ... when we finally get paid again at the end of the month !!

La Sirena Mexican Restaurant 4.5 star review: I brought my fiance here on Saturday evening as a surprise for his birthday. I had booked a really good deal on menupages which was 3 courses PLUS a glass of wine for 2 people for €30 ( either €30 or €35).

It was quiet enough as we had our table booked for 5.30 but very cosy, good lighting (maybe a little too bright over the table lol). I have to say, I wasn't impressed that there was no one there when we walked in to greet us and see us to our table - we could see people in the kitchen and we waited maybe 3, 4 mins before someone came out and saw us to our table. Not a HUGE deal but they might want to watch this.
So, we had to pick from the early bird menu which was fine as the choice is really good. I had a look at the menu beforehand so had a good idea what I was going to get...I had the tomatoe and chilli soup with avacado and nacho pieces to start..delicious! Just the right amount of spice..my fiance had the tortilla I think with potatoe, onion, chorizo..that was yummy too...we got a glass of malbec each and even the wine was lovely.
For the main we decided to pick two different things and just share....we got the chicken fajitas and the chicken enchiladas....OMG....i've never had tastier mexican food - would compare to Acapulco on George St as that has always been our favourite restaurant..until we ate here! The enchiladas were amazing -perfect portion - the flavour was amazing - just the right amount of cheese (mouth is watering just thinking about it)...the fajitas were extremely tasty, everything in the skillet was perfectly cooked and the only negative was we didn't get enough of the tortillas to wrap everything in but by the time we finished the enchiladas we kind of didn't need them!
The dessert included in the deal was just ice cream or sorbet but we had a look at the dessert menu and my fiance got the coconut custard with hibiscus jelly and coconut on the top - I got the lime and almond tart...again...amazing!

Lamb Cutlets with Garlic, Lemon and Paprika

Why not make up a large quantity of this marinade in advance – it is wonderful with cutlets and would also work well with leg steaks or loin chops. The longer you marinate the meat for, the better the flavour!
