Back again from yet another lovely evening at Cape Greko. We had our favourites seafood and chicken, sauteed garlic potatoes and a salad. We were offered and accepted a free shot of ouzo each- very much appreciated. Service as usual was impeccable. Great value, one of the best restaurants in Malahide, in our opinion.

Have always gone a la carte in cape greko and have never been disappointed - the food has been superb. However, we decided to try the early bird for a change. Bad decision!! We were told there was a party coming in, only didn't realise that meant the quality plummeted. We placed our orders and within 3 mins, we got our grilled mussels (which were ok) and so disappointingly dry, rubbery keftedes (always my regular choice). got 3, ate 1 and asked could I have 1 fresh one, waitress checked with chef and I was told no!!! got stifado, meat so tender, to die for, however no fresh taste from sauce. I asked to speak to manager before paying and told them I was not happy to pay for starters, was told it came as package but fair play they took price of starters off bill and charged FULL PRICE for mains (€1 reduction) €17.95 and a shot of liquor. Left Cape Greko after 45 mins, having been served 2 courses, btl wine and a lesson in how not to do fast food. Felt so let down by food and staff.

Following a wonderful holiday and after falling in love with Greek food, my boyfriend and I decided to check this restaurant out. We went for an early bird menu. The choice was very good and the food was very tasty, I really cannot complain. The only bad thing about it is that we were really rushed by the waitresses. We had only sat down that they already wanted to know what we wanted to order and came again about 3 times in the following 5 minutes, we had barely time to go through the menu... Then the two courses followed one another way too quickly. We really feel like we were being rushed out for the next service and could not fully enjoy the experience. It's a shame since the food was so tasty....

Just back from another delicious evening in Cape Greko. I usually visit this restaurant 2-3 times a year and it never fails to disappoint. The food is really good, portion size is not large but sufficient and the price is respectable too. What I love about it is that I always leave feeling full but not too full. You can just tell that ingredients are really fresh, healthy and well prepared. A great night out in my opinion.

I brought my Fiancée for a romantic meal on Valentines. Everything was going well until the main course arrived. A mistake was made in the kitchen and my girlfriend got a beef dish instead of a lamb dish. My girlfriend brought it to the attention of the staff that a simple mistake was made. Instead of listening to the customer the staff handled it very badly. The manager embarrassed my girlfriend and intimidated her loudly telling my girlfriend that she was wrong in a condescending manner. It totally ruined the night. I had tasted the meat it was definitely beef. Very disappointed with the staff’s response. Even though we have been to the restaurant a number of times, we won’t be going back again after this experience!

Have only eaten here once so far as I'm not a big fan of Greek food, however was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere I found a little cold and characterless. The food was good and the service of a high standard. Would recommend, though only if you're a fan of Greek food.

Having visited Cape Greko many times I was delighted to see your offer of meal for 2 for €40. We always visit at early bird times so it was nice to be able to pick from the main menu. As always we weren't disapponted. Lovely atmosphere later in the evening too. Will definitly go back again and again.

I got a present of a Menu Pages Voucher for Cape Greko and we were delighted as we really love Greek Food. When we went to Malahide we found the restaurant upstairs. On arrival we said that we have a Menu Pages Voucher. We were seated in the restaurant without a problem as it was rather empty with only two other tables taken. We wanted to order the Mezze Platter for two but we were told that it was not included in the deal. We ordered it anyway along with our other dishes and said we would pay the difference. The starters were nice and tasty. Coming to the main course I had Lamb Kleftiko and my partner a Beef Stifado, the Stifado was tasty but the Lamb Kleftiko was absolutely disastrous. The lamb shank was over cooked with no sauce and no taste. I had to ask for extra sauce to give any taste to the dish as it was so bland, it was impossible to eat. Disappointment set in as it was not what I’d expected and along with this the atmosphere in the restaurant left a lot to be desired. We went onto have our desserts and they were tasty enough. We paid the bill that came to € 105 for 2 adults and 2 children and one bottle of wine (had to order a Spanish wine as no Greek wine in the Menu!) and that included the Menu Pages Voucher deducted off. I felt it was overpriced for what we got and a huge disappoint overall.

Having never visited Cape Greko before, I was looking forward to sampling their food. For starters, I ordered Pan-fried tiger prawns with garlic and fresh chillies and my partner ordered Halloumi cheese. The Halloumi was good, the prawns were nice if not a bit dry and when I asked for some chilli oil, the waitress informed me that they did not have any but they had chillies!!!!. For mains we ordered Shank of lamb slowly cooked in the oven with mint, rosemary, thyme, garlic and white wine and Skewered diced lamb marinated in white wine, olive oil, garlic and thyme, served with tzatziki. To say it was the worst meal we ever had was an understatement. The shank of lamb was tasteless and its fatty juices were swimming in the plate, some parts of the lamb overcooked and some undercooked. The kebabs were well overcooked and also tasteless. In fairness to the waitress, she asked if we would like to change dishes, at this point I just wanted the bill. To make matters worst, when the bill came, they tried charge me for the amount that I already paid for through Menupages but then apologised saying it was a mistake. If this is the food they present to try entice new customers, they will fail badly. We were not the only unsatisfied customers that night and I have recommended my friends not to visit this restaurant.

I've wanted to try this restaurant for a couple of years now so I was excited when there was a Menupage voucher for a four course meal. The restaurant wasn't what I expected but the food was nice. My husband and I went on a Monday night so it wasn't busy but that was fine with us. We both had the seafood croquettes to start. They were nice. My husband had steak. He really enjoyed it. I had the spanakopita. It was nice but it was made with puff pastry instead of filo and didn't have enough filling so I felt like I ate puff pastry as a main! I definitely would have been disappointed if I had paid 15 euro for that dish. For dessert my husband had the apple pie and I had blueberry cheesecake plus two coffees. Our server was fantastic, very friendly. We will go back.

My husband & I both love the Greek Islands so I was delighted to discover that he had booked a Greek Restaurant for my birthday, the restaurant was buzzing when we arrived we were shown to our table straight away, the table were very close together. We ordered the Village Salad and Tzatziki for starters which were very good, my husband had the Moussaka which was excellent and I had Lamb Shank which was a disaster, I have had this dish many times but not like this! it had evidence of being cooked with garlic, thyme, rosemary etc but the sauce was water as if the meat boiled absolutely no flavour and so so fatty, I could not eat it, when the waitress came to see if everything was okay, I told her about my dish and she said this was the way it came! My husband had dessert and I had a glass of wine, we had 2 coffees and the bill came to 77 euros, a different waitress came with the bill and I told her about my mains again but to no avail we were not even offered a complimentary coffee! I subsequently emailed them and was told that the staff would receive more customer service training but nothing about my dreadful main course a birthday meal to remember but for all the wrong reasons.

This restaurant went from being a new experience to being my favourite restaurant of all time. It doesnt matter what you choose on the menu it is prepared to perfection and you cant help but clean your plate in every course. The staff are second to none and have the most professional and friendly approach of any retaurant I have ever eaten in. My friends are all fans too and now that we have a new baby the staff even make us feel just as welcome and made special efforts to accomodate our new addition. This restaurant deserves an award.

It would be very easy to pass this restaurant by as it is upstairs and out of sight. We came across it in Malahide some weeks ago whilst doing a bit of research into somewhere different to eat. The decision to try out a Greek/Cypriot meal was a new venture, and we weren’t disappointed. We had made a booking in advance and were seated immediately on arrival. The menu is very good with lots of choice and their early bird options are great value. We were left to browse through the menu at our leisure and as we did so, a jug of iced water was brought to our table. We opted for the two-course early bird. My starter was warm pitta bread accompanied by Greek yogurt with crushed cucumber, garlic and mint. It was delicious, just the thing to get the taste buds going in preparation for the main meal. This was equally as delicious – chicken breast marinated in olive oil and cooked to perfection. There is the option of salad, chips or garlic potatoes to accompany your main course. I chose the salad, which was a very good mix of greens, onions, cherry tomatoes and peppers, drizzled with a lovely light vinaigrette dressing. It was washed down with a nice bottle of red wine. Service was prompt and value was excellent - €59 for two early-birds, a bottle of wine and two coffees. The only negative thing I can say about Cape Greko is that tables are too close to one another. The seating is unusual in that there is a long continuous seat around the wall which is fixed, and cannot be moved, so tables have to be placed and spaced against it to best advantage, and that in itself is limiting. I had to squeeze myself in between the tables to get back to my seat, and I am of average build. We could hear the couple at the table beside us talking, so no doubt they could hear us. Other than the last observation, it was very good night out and we would go back again.

This is a lovely restaurant in a prime spot in Malahide village and, being upstairs, one gets a view of the sea whilst dining. It seems to be quite a popular place with everyone, from couples to families and everyone in between. I like the décor, it’s simple and understated and the Greek music being played in the background was subtle, yet could still be heard. Service was very good and delivered with a smile. Like a previous reviewer, we were left to enjoy our evening without being rushed to leave once our meal was finished. The meal was delicious and there are lots of mouth-watering dishes on the menu to tempt us back again. Maybe next time we’ll have a dessert instead of a starter as we didn't have room for both!

We went here for a bite to eat last Sunday and we found it fantastic. The restaurant itself has lovely decor and is cosy but minimal in its interior. The staff were very polite and attentive and there was no rush on us to leave once we finished our food. The food however was by far the best thing about it. The selection of starters was so good it was difficult to choose from. We went for hummous and veggie balls which were both delicious. Would love to try the platter next time. We both had lamb for main, one stew type dish and one kebab. They were full of flavour and extremely tender. The only minor point I could think of was the chips which were not great but the side salad was very fresh. We had a greek dessert with pastry, nuts and honey which was amazing. They also have a very good wine selection. Great value night out for delicious food.

This was my first visit to Cape Greko and I already can't wait to go back. I always thought it was a dive since there's just a sign above a little pizza parlor, but it's lovely! The decor isn't cheesy at all, but actually very modern with simple Greek accents. They have a wonderful early bird special where you can get two courses for 18.50 or three courses for 21.50. I got the two courses and had the fried calamari as a starter and the moussaka as my main dish. Both were excellent. My husband had the turkey meatballs for an appetizer (which he said were okay) and the chicken souvlaki for his entree (which he loved). He did three courses and ordered the chocolate cake, which we split for dessert. It was very big and very rich. Everything was great, and the service was wonderful. Very friendly and attentive. It's a small enough restaurant so if you're going at a busy time on the weekend you may need a reservation, but I can say it's definitely worth a visit!

This was my first visit to Cape Greko and I will definately be back. The decor is gorgeous, there was a really nice atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We shared a mezze to start - lovely fresh flavours - and I had seafood souvlaki while my partner had chicken souvlaki for mains. Both were really tasty. All washed down with a few cocktails ... and a pleasant surprise when the bill arrived as it was only about 90 EUR. Lovely restaurant.

Went here with a group of friends for dinner on a sunday evening. The restaurant was pretty full and seems to be always busy. This gives a nice atmosphere to the place. The staff were really friendly and polite. And we were given plenty of time to look at the menus and between courses so we didnt feel rushed at all. The selection of food on the menu is very good with a range of meats and vegetarian options. I had the feta cheese to begin and chicken pilafi for mains-the food was tasty and quite flavoursome. Its a filling meal so the portion sizes dont need to be too large. I would definitely return to this restaurant as the value for money is also good.

Headed into Cape Greko for lunch with a friend last Saturday, the restaurant is looking very smart since its recent makeover! We both had chicken souvlaki for mains and it was delicious, we also had a dessert each, my baklava was lovely, really sweet and nutty and not too big a portion which was perfect! My friends chocolate fudge cake was huge and she couldn't finish it, each dessert came with a scoop of good vanilla icecream. With a latte each our bill came to €37, good value for a nice relaxed meal and service was very friendly too!

Cape Greko looks beautiful when you enter, there seems to have been great attention to detail here. When we arrive for an 8pm sitting there was only two other tables occupied but the restaurant filled up nicely and was over half full by the time we were leaving around 9.30pm, for a Tuesday night this is surely indicative of it's popularity. We started with the mezze platter which contained Greek village salad, keftedes, halloumi cheese, kalamari, dolmades, tzatziki dip, hummus dip and pita bread. The flavours were perfect and transported me back to my summer holidays last year. There was more than enough for the two of us to share and we held onto the dips for the main course. For mains we had the mixed soulvaki of lamb and chicken with chips and the panga fish fillet in beer batter with chips. The meat was wonderfully seasoned and succulent, we were used to soulvaki arriving with pitta bread as a sort of sandwich but here the meat just comes on a plate with some salad, it was tasty though. The panga fish was huge, too big in fact, I was intimidated by it from the start! I managed to eat only half. Both portions of chips were a disappointment, they tasted dry and reheated. We had some nice Cypriot beer called Keo with the meal. Overall a great experience.

I visited Cape Greko with my family on a Saturday evening as part of a birthday celebration. I'd advise booking in advance as it was very busy. The atmosphere was lively, loud and energetic (which is what I'd expect from a restaurant like this, perfect for a celebration) ... so its a place to go with a group of friends more than a romantic dinner for two. The service was excellent. The table staff are great fun, helpful and very friendly. Even when we were last to leave, very late in the evening, they were not pushing us out the door ... quite the opposite ... they offered another drink and invited us to stay a little longer. The menu is very good. It provided just the right balance, giving a good range of options without going overboard. For our appetisers, we had the seafood and regular mezes ... very good, a lovely balance of different foods/meats, accompanied by wonderful Mediterranean salads. The dolmades and prawns were particularly good. The only slight criticism was the calamari, it would have been better if it was freshly prepared rather than using the frozen battered supermarket variety. The mains were superb. I really enjoyed the Lamb Tava (essentially a tomato based stew). Another person had lamb cutlets which were cooked to perfection. I also had a sample of the wonderful Sheftalia (Pork). Overall I'd recommend it as a great place to eat, run by friendly people with a wonderful attitude. The food probably won't win any awards but it is very tasty and carefully prepared nonetheless.

I went with a friend last Friday night and thankfully we had a booking as the place was packed. It looked great, the staff were really good, perfectly attentive but not intrusive. The food was absolutely perfect. We shared the vegetarian starter for 2 and it was gorgeous. It would be perfect as a main course for 1. I had the Halloumi & Pepper salad as a main dish but I couldn't finish it. My friend had chicken kebabs and couldn't finish them either! For dessert we had a couple of cosmos. I'm already planning my next visit.

I love this simple restaurant. The vegetarian mixed platter for 2 makes for a delicious main course. The service is always good, particularly the female waitresses - attentive and also pleasant. Having eaten a lot of the menu, the beef stifado is a highlight. Only word of warning, if you go at the weekend they aren't too keen on sharing food/small purchases - this usually irritates me but in this case I'll let it go.

This was a great dining experience. I had the Sikotakia starter, chicken liver cooked in red wine. Very rich and strong flavors cooked perfectly. I had Chicken Pilafi for my main. Again this was fantastic food, everything on the plate tasted amazing and it was a big portion too. Everyone in our group of 10 thoroughly enjoyed their food. The service was excellent and the staff were very nice and knowledgeable about the menu.

Heard great reports about this place so was really looking forward to it. 6 of us went on Friday night at 7:30. Place was quite empty which was disappointing. Menu is huge and contains everything you would imagine from a Greek restaurant (loads of fish). All the food was exceptional. Fish was cooked perfectly and the garlic chips were lovely as a side. We had a Couple of vegetarian dishes which were nice (kebabs were top notch). Service were good and we got a free shot at the end of the night which is always a great way to end a meal. Bill came to just over 300 EURO. Not too bad for such great food. Pity the place wasn't full to add to the experience. Sure I will be back in the near future.

We arrived on a Saturday evening without reservation, but the staff arranged a nice table by the window for us. The food was excellent, this was the first time i tried mussels and it was an absolute fantastic experience. The garlic sauce was divine. The rest of the food was quite tasty as well, lots of flavors, everything i expected from Greek cuisine. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Overall a great dining experience and we will definitely return.

This place has been on my list of places to try and I wonder why I left it so long. Called in last night for their early bird and was very impressed. 2 courses for 18.50. Great selection of starters and there must have been about 15 main courses to choose from. We ordered the calamari and tukey meatballs to start. Calamari was deliciously tender in a crisp batter. Despite earlier reviews, I thought that the turkey meatballs were very flavoursome. 3 generous size bites were served with a delicious tomato based sauce. For mains we had the chicken kebabs and the prawn with olives and spicy tomato sauce. Both dishes were served with a choice of chips/garlic sauteed potatoes or salad. The prawns already came with a rice dish so the extra carbs were probably not needed. Service was very good. Didn't bother with deserts as we were too full! Will definitely try it again...

I have eaten here before and have always enjoyed it. Today I decided to come for lunch which was enjoyable. The service for most of the meal was provided by a single server who was in turn serving the whole restaurant. Another girl did join her towards the end of our meal. In saying this I didn't find the service slow and it was pleasant enough. I had a meatball starter my companion passing on this. For mains I had a burger and my companion had a chicken dish. We both had a desert my companion having a chocolate cake and myself a crepe. This restaurant is in the centre of Malahide and the atmosphere is fine. The restaurant is decorated nicely and is bright and airy. The toilets were sparkling clean. I think the food offered here is very good and in addition this restaurant offers great value for money on both its lunch and early bird menus. My only gripe was that my desert portion was tiny and I would have eaten a few more crepes. I will return here again.

The food here was pretty good but I was disappointed! Basically I decided to book dinner here for my bf's birthday. He hadnt had a greek meal since the states several years ago and my last greek experience was in Amsterdam also a few years ago. I have eaten in greece so know what to expect. Although many of the starters sound very authentic, they are pricey so we decided to order a Mezze Platter so se could get a taste of several dishes. We got a large plate, half of which was filled with lovely greek salad with big chunks of feta cheese, lovely, a couple of dolmedas, leaves were a bit tough but filling was nice, halloumi cheese which was overcooked...and turkey meatballs which were bland (being turkey!)...so not a great start. Oh we had nice hummus and pitta bread too. The Lamb kleftiko got great reviews on menu pages so my bf ordered that and it was basically a large lamb shank in a sauce. It was cooked perfectly but just lacked 'greekness'! I had the seafood slavako (kebabs) and the fish was really delicous but again....I could have been in any good seafood restaurant ordering grilled mixed fish. Both were served with garlic potatoes?? The bf asked if they had Rhetsina and the waiter said they dont stock it because there is no demand for it.....We did get a couple of ouzo's at the end of the meal. He finished off with the Baklava dessert, flavour was good but the pastry was soggy. Overall the food was very nice but just not Greek enough!

first time visit here on a busy Saturday evening. we made it for the early bird menu which was good value 3 courses for 21.5 euro. Lots of choices to choose from, and the waiter was very helpful to recommend. we settled on Dolmedes(vive leaf stuffed with minced beef), calamari for our starters. For mains, we had chicken solvaki and lamb tava. which came with either chunky chips or garlic potato or salad. Portions were generous. we also went for traditional Greek desserts -Baklava and filo pastry filles with vanila cream. The place was nearly full by 7pm, The atmosphere was just right- relaxed & buzzing. We were sitting by the window so had a nice view of the harbour. Would be back again.

Only my second visit here in a year as had forgotten about it living in Dublin city centre. This restaurant is fantastic. Great service- very friendly, delicious, authentic Greek-Cypriot food and wines and great value for money. The meze platter is a perfect starter for 3 to share with a big Greek salad. I then had the mixed souvlaki which was delicious and hugely portioned. Everyone in my family (who have lived in Cyprus) left feeling wonderfully nostalgic and wanting more. Bravo!

I was surprised that this restaurant wasn't busier at 6pm on a busy Saturday evening in Malahide - just us and one other couple so there was no atmosphere to speak of. It's deceptively spacious upstairs. Service was brisk. The food is delicious - all home made I was told. There's an option of the early bird or the a la carte. The early bird is two courses for €18 or 3 courses for €21. Most of the dishes on the a la carte are on the early bird so that's a no brainer. My partner had the early bird two course - keftedes which is mildly spicy turkey croquettes, 3 in total with a tomato sauce dip. Crisp & tasty. I had hummus to start with and it was excellent. For mains my partner had Beef Stifado (stew) on a bed of couscous. This also comes with a side order of chips or garlic potatoes or salad which isn't necessary as the portion is more than adequate. I had the seafood platter. Now this is a starter for two people but I had it as my main. This dish was worth the visit alone. Crab meat, 3 pieces of kalamaris, two mussels, two king prawns and salad with black & green olives and a garlic mayo dip (not necessary). Genuine fresh seafood & worth every cent of €19.95. From this visit, I couldn't imagine having a long leisurely meal here but the food is definitely worth at least one visit.

The food is really tasty. We loved it from the starter to the dessert. Perfect quantities, you don't feel too full after finishing your meal. Great value for the price. We just found that the service a bit slow.

Having just missed the 'early bird' we chose not to have starters but went straight to the main course. The restaurant has great view of malahide and inside it has lovely decor but it's quite noisy. One of the main reasons for going was the fact that it was a vegetarian restaurant as my friend is actually a vegan so she was quite happy with her order. I got the Lamb Souvlaki (Kebabs) - siimply gorgeous, but a bit expensive. The service was good considering they were really busy at the time. Recommended.

We went to Cape Greko before and really enjoyed it, however, on Saturday nite the experience felt very rushed and the food was only ok. Our booking was at 6pm and we were told that we had to be out by 8pm which wouldn't have been a problem - but I came out at 7:45pm with indigestion. We picked from the early bird menu but all the items we choose were on the A La Carte menu too and I would have been very upset if I had to pay A La Carte prices for what we got. Based on this experience I would not return to this restaurant.

Had heard tell of a Greek restaurant in Malahide and stumbled upon it by chance during a day trip out to this lovely suburb! It was early evening of a bank holiday Monday so the restaurant wasn't full but nice turnover all the same. Decor is simple and the dining room is nice and bright. We opted for the early bird which was great value. Stuffed vine leaves for OH and hummus and pita bread for me. Both lovely...very large bowl of hummus and had to ask for extra side of pita. This starter could easily be shared between two if extra bread is ordered. I had mousaka for main which was very tasty but sadly too filling. Couldn't manage a desert but the menu looked nice with homemade specials being supplemented by standard pre-made frozen deserts as seen on menus across the country! I would definitely return in the future!

Went here with 4 friends recently for a birthday. I love this restaurant. I was on Crete years ago and being young and fussy didnt care for the food but this is Greek Cypriot and everything is fresh (down to the Calamari). I cannot abide by restaurants who use frozen food - its just not good practice and you know by the taste of the food. Anyway 2 friends shared Meze Platter (a lot of food), one had the hummus plate and I had Calamari. All lovely. My friends all ordered Mousakka (but were full after their starters not too long after!). I had the Chicken Souvlaki (always delicious- I had the mixed with Lamb before but the lamb was a bit tough). I adore the tzatziki that comes with this. For afters there was some ice-cream and a few Bailey's coffees. The staff in here are just so nice and friendly and couldnt be more helpful. Sometimes it can be a little bit quiet in here which surprises me. This is what good service should always be like.

Went for dinner here last night. Couldn't fault it. The service, atmosphere and food was excellent. The food has a real home cooked taste. We had the stuffed pepper boats. I had the shank of lamb and my girlfriend had the grilled chicken. The portions were also very generous. Got a free shot of Ouzo afterwards which went down very well :) Will certainly be back again.

If you want to feel like you have just stepped out of Dublin into Little Greece, this is the place to be. Very welcoming staff, great service, fantastic food- what more can one ask for? We ate the haloumi salad and haloumi on pita bread- both were excellent. The garlic potatoes with the salad were really good,t he ingredients tasted fresh and the food was just really good. Well worth going to Malahide just to eat here. I am so glad I stumbled across this place.

We've been to CG several times but this was the most disappointing visit by some distance. We were the only people paying full price (the Early Birders leaving us alone in the restaurant) and it's not hard to see why. This is simply not good value anymore. The food was patchy, which is bearable when it's cheap but not when it's overpriced. Greek food should be bursting with flavour but this was largely bland and uninspiring. Decent service but when the staff are re-setting tables for the following night before 9pm, that's hardly surprising. We will not be hurrying back.

Went for a late lunch with my hubby and son. Hadn't been for a while - great menu! We had the mezze to share - plenty for the three of us. I had the spinakopita (devine), my hubby had a lamb dish (meat falling off the bone) and my son had a chicken and rice dish - also gorgeous. One dessert, soda and coffees with a nice bottle of wine. The bill came to approx €70 which was well earned - great service, great food and lovely atmosphere. Will be back soon :-)

Food is WAY over priced, for basic home cooking. Wine served was a Table Wine for which we were charged €20. Lamb shank was over-done and swimming in a tasteless tomato broth. Starter was €18 for a shared starter that consisted of a salad, some hummus and two small, rock hard keftedes. Decor is very basic. Overall we paid €100 for a starter, two mains and a bottle of Very Very cheap table wine. I was extremely disappointed really, as greek food can be wonderful. I will never return and would warn people to do likewise.

Nice enough restaurant on 1st floor of building. Food was disappointing but maybe just not to our taste. Won't return for that reason. Place was very busy with lots of customers so it may just have been just not to our taste.

This was a great surprise. Booking for 6 people and greek food would not be my first choice at all. But was a lovely meal. Food, clean, fresh, tasty and good value. Felt my dinner was cooked specifically for me and not a number on the night. Overall 6 very happy people. Everybody loved it with no complaints.

Ate here with two friends. I wouldn't be huge lover of Greek but it was ok. The service was very good very friendly. The Food in my opinion was ok. I got the Ouzo prawns which were tasty but when came out was swimming in sauce which put me off a bit. I thought the drinks were very expensive. Overall I thought the meal was very over priced for what you got (25 for Salmon!) I would only consider going back for an early bird.

I had a meal for 2 here on a rainy Monday evening so it was fairly quiet, but that didn't detract from the pleasant atmosphere. We shared the Meze Platter for starter which was very tasty and larger than I expected. For my main I had the Soutzoukakia, spicy meatballs with potato and gravy, and it was delicious. My partner also enjoyed his Kotopoullo Gemisto, stuffed deep-fried chicken in lemon sauce. We were quite full after that, as the portions are a decent size, but still had room for dessert of profiteroles and traditional baklava. All in all it was a very enjoyable meal and I would recommend Cape Greko if you want to try traditional Greek food.

Positive: Good value Early Bird menu with plenty of choice. Even on a cold October Tuesday, there were plenty of people coming in the door. Calamari very nicely done. Decent coffee. Friendly service Negative: Tasteless Keftedes starter and worse Chicken Souvlaki. A bit more TASTE to match the good ingredients and these would have been delicious. Daylight robbery for a 0.75 litre bottle of water at €4.50. Revisit? Yes. I think we should take some of the fish dishes that other reviewers have applauded.

Visited with my husband and our two sons aged 6 and 9. Went for the early bird and was surprised how busy it was so early in the evening. Quite an extensive early bird menu too - plenty of choice. Our sons split a starter and a main course and the restaurant served their half portions on separate plates so no messing around. Food was delicious and plentiful - really fresh and tasty. For three starters, three mains, two desserts (our boys split a pancake dessert but it was so nice they ordered another between them), two coffees, two soft drinks, bottle of greek wine (very nice) and two ouzos it came to about €110 which included service charge. Fast becoming one of my favourite spots to eat.

in regards to the restaurant 'cape greko' Malahide, we booked a table in advance, when we went in they told us we have to leave the table by certain time because it was booked for someone else after us, so we couldn't sit there all evening, but they told us this when we got there on the night, they should've mentioned this on the phone when we booked on the night before, thank you.

Dined in Cape Greko again on Thursday night. Still one of the best restaurants and outstanding value. Great food and great staff. The outstanding dish was the prawns with Ouzo. Faultless. I don't think that Cape Greko can be beaten on food, service or value. Had the early bird menu, €21.50 for 3 courses. A huge choice of starters. mains and desserts. There were even 3 veggie main course choices. The chicken with cream and white wine sauce was to die for. There were 2 chicken fillets, one would have been enough, but I could take the other home for lunch. Desserts were home made. Absoloutely faultless.

Great food! was there on Monday evening and still good few people in. Service not in your face, which we liked. Starter was too filling that I couldn't finish my main course, but that's a good complaint to have. Total bill for 2 course dinner for 2 with a bottle of one and coffee to finish was €72.00.

I had lunch with my family on my birthday and had an absolutely fabulous time. It was a very sunny day, so great to walk along the water before lunch. The sunlight shone through the windows and made the blue and white paint look great. Absolutely beyond delicious greek food too. Will certainly go back.

I went to Cape Greko on a Sunday night after being in Greece the week before. The dishes are exactly the same as the one's I had in Greece. All of the food we had was amazing, the waitress was very polite and the restaurant was quiet, but not uncomfortably so. I found it very good value for money and will definitely be back! The group I was with would recommend everything, but the Chicken Souvlaki and the Keftedes in particular. YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS RESTAURANT!!!!

A really lovely place, had been before a few years ago but had forgotten how nice it is. Pretty reasonably priced, really amazing food and a nice relaxed atmosphere. I had the halloumi for starter (a little salty for my taste but thats just me I think) and then the mousaka for main course - delicious and tasted like home cooking. Had the baklava for dessert. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Ate here with a friend and having been to this restaurant before found that they have managed to provide another experience which means I will definitely go back again. Lovely staff who are really helpful and pleasant, great tasting food in really decent sized portions, great menu variety. Mixed meze platters for starter are great to share and the souvlaki for main are a personal favourite. Really good on the drinks too - they make a good mojito at this place!

The food and service are excellent and the early bird menu is great value for money. Ireland needs more Greek restaurants.

This was the second visit I had to this restaurant. I cannot fault it in anyway. The food was delicious ! The atmosphere was lovely and the service was just perfect. The waiter even let us decide on the timings between the courses which was lovely as we were not rushed in anyway and had plenty of time to enjoy our wine. I was surprised that this restaurant was not full as with food and service so great - it should be full every night. This will now be one of my preferred restaurants in Malahide. I'd highly recommend the Seafood platter for starters and the Lamb Cutlets for main course. Most of the desserts are home made also and very tasty. Overall a great experiance ! Do go - you will enjoy it !

I love Cape Greko. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming. I had lunch recently and it was fantastic. I had the haloumi and tzatzigi wrap with salad and chips, €9.95. Absolutely great value indeed. I am a regular patron of Cape Greko and would recommend it to anyone.

Visited for the first time for a table of 10. Location isn't the best as the restaurant is upstairs and would be quite difficult to spot for passers by. Once inside the atmosphere is cosy and welcoming. The house wine was very nice. The chicken slouvaki for mains was done to perfection. The meat was tender and had a great barbeque flavour to it, the homemade tzatziki which accompanied it was gorgeous. Along with the main courses come a choice of home fries, garlic roast potatoes or salad (all very generous portions). For desert I had a Galatopoureko (maybe spelling it incorrectly) which was obviously home made, quite unusual and very tasty. The bill at the end was very inexpensive - good value for the food quality and portion size. The staff are helpful and I will deffinately come here again.

This is a firm favourite and I eat here as often as I can. The service is so friendly, especially warm towards the children. The food is really tasty. It's great to see a menu with dishes different to the usual variations, something a bit unusual. The beef Stifado (could have name quite wrong) is really delicious, tender chunks in a rich sauce with couscous, and in great portion sizes. Also, the chicken or lamb kebabs are so simply prepared but bursting with freshness and flavour. But my favourite is the range of starters. Sometimes we just order a large range of starters between us tapas style. Calamari, Feta, haloumi, stuffed vine leaves ....But the best is the end, when no matter how much you ordered, the bill apepars less than you expected.

Went with family for a meal on a Saturday night. Disappointingly quiet for a Saturday evening as we were only one of 3 tables. The mezzes are well worth trying and are good value. The main courses were large but generally flavourless and over-priced. I'd return if I was in Malahide for a small dinner but I wouldn't make the trip especially.

We will be going back! First time visit and we all loved it. Dining with my husband and sister in law for a lazy afternoon lunch. The restaurant was really quiet when we arrived just 2 other tables of 2, however that had changed as we left it was almost full. Not knowing the portions sizes we all went for starters, soup, mussels and greek salad. All of which were lovely. My husband kept eating the pita bread loving it. Mains of Chicken Souvlaki and Stithos Olympus were gorgeous. The homemade chunky chips are devine, not needed at all with the Souvlaki at all given the size of the dish. There was no room at all for dessert this time but I will save some room next time. And before I forget it was really reasonable. 56e for 3 starters, 3 mains and soft drinks.

Really good food, at very reasonable prices. Our visit to Cape Greko in Malahide was a very pleasant dining experience. The food was plentiful, fresh and extremely tasty. The service is polite, friendly and not overpowering. With two starters, mains, deserts, coffees and minerals the bill came to 77 Euro. Excellent value. It won't be my last visit.

Finally a traditional Greek restaurant in Dublin, love visiting Greece on holidays every year and miss their tasty mediterranean food! Wonderful experience from the friendly and effecient staff (attentive but not in your face), to the gorgeous food. I had the King prawns in ouzo, my wife had the Lamb tava (loved the spices, so authentic). Great buzz about this restaurant, very authentic, and certainly could not complain about value for money especially in these times! (early bird with fantastic choice something like over 21 euro!) It was a nice touch to see what appeared to be the head chef chatting to some happy customers. Definitely recommend this restaurant and will be back again.

Went here for the earlybird last week. The salad was lovely, had the chicken souvalaki for main course, I was too full to have dessert but I ordered a baklava to take home. It's not the best greek restaurant in the worl but still very pleasant. The chargrilled chicken was quite tasty. The only problem was the atmosphere, the dinner was set to the background music of a screaming baby for over almost an hour.

Visited Cape Greko last night with my Friend. We arrived at 7.30. There was one couple there . We were given a nice table at the window. The staff were very friendly and helpful with the Menu. As it was my friends first time there she wasn't sure about the food but the staff were excellent. We had a fish platter to start. It was very tasty. We both had a prawn dish for Mains. Even though they came on a bed of brown rice we also had a choice of Garlic potatoes or salad as a side. We had one of each and shared them. Even though we were quite full we managed a desert. She had crepes with chocolate sauce and I had a greek yogurt with honey and walnuts. We both had tea. Mine was a pepperment and she had an english tea. During our 3 hours there only 5 more peopel came in (One couple and 3 Girls). It was such a pity that there were so few people there as the Restaurant lacked atmosphere . Otherwise we had a very nice evening with good food and pleasant service.

Have visited this restaurant on a few occasions, friends have tired of my ravings so we all decided to take a trip to Malahide to let them form their own opinions and they were not disappointed! Staff were so friendly, talking us through the menu(so hard to decide what to have!) We had the Meze platter for starters with stuffed tomates, and fresh mussels (so fresh you could taste the sea from them), main courses I had the Lamb Kleftiko which was so tender it melted off the bone, delicious, King Prawns in tomato sauce, Mixed chicken kebabs were among our mains, sides of freshly cut chunky chips, and salad were devoured by all four of us. We barely had room for dessert but managed some chocolate crepes. Cape Greko is a gem in Malahide, my friends were all in agreement, super food, service (very attentive) and excellent value for money, will definitely be back very soon.

Was here recently with four girlfriends. We all loved the food - the meze platter to start was gorgeous especially the halloumi and kalamari!! I had the mixed meat soulvaki - chicken and pork which was lovely served with the most divine chunky chips. The wine was great value and overall a great night. Staff were really friendly - will be back v. soon.

Went with a few friends for a post Christmas dinner. It wasn't too busy but considering it was just after Christmas no great surprise. Staff were very friendly and even took photos for us. Food was very nice, but very heavy on garlic. We all ordered of the early bird which was very good value. All in all a good night. Have been before and will go again.

Service was good. But a major turn-off was the manager, who was arrogant, unhelpful and we felt that we dont want to go back there again because of his attitude.Having said that the floor staff were very helpful. he has put me and many other people i know against going to that restaurant again.

After hearing a lot about this place, I decided to pay it a visit. I have to say I was very much let down. Ordered the Early Bird Menu : Starters were Grilled Aubergines which I found bland and not flavoursome. My friend ordered the mussels and they were fresh and tasty. Main Course of Briam and Lamb Tava. The Briam, I cannot reccomend with any confidence it was a few vegetables in masses of tomato sauce. This was not how it was in Greece any time I visited there. The Lamb Tava was cooked perfectly and was delicately spiced. This was the best course on offer. Desserts, well I'm not a fan of Greek Desserts but the Baklava was presented well and tasted as it should. What was more frustraing my mediocre Briam was the intermittent service we received from the waiting staff. There were 3 tables eating and we had a long wait anytime we wanted their attention. This was very frustrating and ruined the experience. The chef did come out on a few occasions to see us eat our food which was a nice touch. I reccomend the Lamb Tavaand would not eat Briam again. Overall, a little disappointed and will have to think again before I would go back

Went for early bird and decided to just have a plate of mezze instead. It was ok, nothing fantastic. I've had nicer olives, I've eaten tastier mezze (albeit in Greece). There were a few tables taken, at 5:30 on Monday after Christmas, which says something. Staff were good, price wasn't bad, I'd go back there but I wouldn't necessarily run back there. Excellent veggie options. Overall I'd recommend.

My family and I went here recently for my mothers birthday. For some unknown reason she wanted to try Greek cuisine. The food didnt dissappoint at all but if you don't live in the vacinity of Howth it is quite the trek, which I feel detracted from the experience. If you do venture out any of the seafood dishes are bound to satisfy.

We visited the restaurant last nite and where a table of 10 enjoyed a lovely evening. The only neg is that Greek food takes a little getting used to and some of us didn't order exactly what we should have. Value for money is A1. Our bill was approx 100 per couple. That include 3 courses, wine, one or two drinking pints of Heiniken and some of us finishing with Irish & Baileys coffee. Relaxed athmosphere and well worth a visit. It is the type of place I could see a group of us visiting once a year. Try it.

My husband & I absolutely LOVE this place. It's consistently reliable in relation to yummy food, lovely friendly staff, privacy in terms of proximity to other tables and fantastic value for money. One day for starters we ordered the "Mezze Platter" for 2 for starters. It was so big and filling we'd no room for our mains but they suggested we take home our significant leftovers.Normally I'd be mortified to suggest this & loved how easy they made it for us.Equally, had a brill night there with female friends drinking lots of cocktails!!!Perfect for every occasion. A perfect example of good food and service.

I had eaten here before & wasn't that impressed & reluctantly decided to try it again. I was very surprised as the meal was excellent from start to finish & really good value. Staff were very friendly & you did feel (bar the weather) that you could be in Greece. They've just extended their early bird from Sunday to Thursday ALL night which is really good value. Yes I would definitely recommend it.

Good food, decent service and early bird prices all night mon to thur makes Cape Greko hard to pass. Having reserved a table it was a nice touch to get a window overlooking the Marina. Two starters, two main courses, two deserts and a glass of wine for under 50euro.

Ate here on a sunny Sunday night. Lovely atmosphere. Upstairs restaurants can sometimes be at a disadvantage but this place was packed already, and when we left there was a queue. The prawns were delicious and the helpings are quite large. Staff were attentive but the cocktails were very disappointing

I was there last Tuesday night. It was lovely. The atmosphere was so nice, I felt like I was back in Greece. It was quite busy there for a Tuesday night which says a lot. My friend and I were both delighted with the service, food and most importantly in this day and age THE COST. I would go back there again

Ate here with my family recently. It was my first experience with Greek food, and I quite enjoyed it! The staff were nice and the main portions were big (starters were fairly tiny though). I wouldn't rush straight back, but would return again.

I ate here with a party of four. We had eaten earlier in the day so we decided to share the meze starters, one meat, one seafood. We also ordered one bowl of olives and one portion of chips. The description on the menu sounds HUGE but in reality not so big. I was very surprised with the olives, only five for approx €5.00. There wasn't really enough pitta bread to accommodate our meal so we ordered some more for which we were charged extra! The atmosphere was dull as was the "robotic" staff. Think they needed their batteries charged! Included with the meal were, one bottle of water, one mineral, one coffee, one half bottle of wine, one dessert and the total for this minuscule offering was just over €90.00!!! A bargain (NOT).Definitely will not be returning here this millennium!

we returned for another lovely evening in Cape Greko and had one of those rare evenings in a Dublin restaurant...we got GREAT service, FABULOUS food (try the mixed meze/starter platter...or the mixed souvlaki)and were left to eat in in peace without being rushed out or have our not-yet-empty plates swiped out from under our noses. Was surprised at how busy the place was for a Mon (birthdays dont always conveniently fall at the wkend!)...but with service and food like this it's no wonder.

I went here with my boyfriend a couple of weekends ago and I've since been back. Its such a nice restaurant, really different to anything else thats out there. The menu is very varied with something for everyone and everything seemes so fresh. For starters we had the mezze plate which was lovely and plenty of it.I would really recommend the lamb cutlets, lamb kafta and the shank. I've since recommended this place to other ppl, all of which have gone and have loved it too!The only complaint I would have is that the service is a little slow but when ur out for a relaxing meal there's no rush

Went to this restaurant last Sunday for an early dinner - food was fabulous!! I would definitely recommend it - the menu is so full it's actually hard to pick from the selection.

Ate here last Friday and I'm still ranting about it. Birthday girl was already a huge fan but I'm the newest member to the fan club for sure. WOW. My mouth still waters just thinking of it. Service was perfect. Just enough attention wihtout being smothered. There were 13 of us but no one went unhappy. Massive range of dishes and I think the only 'complaint' was the size of the dishes. PLENTY to eat. I had the chicken souvlaki (which seems to be very popular looking at other reviews). I knew id too much on my plate but I just didnt want to leave any !! And I didnt. Looking down the table I saw steaks aswell so I know there was something for everyone. I'd the salad for a side dish and also salad for starter (with balsamic). Crunchy, fresh and colourful salad. No one had more than 2 courses as we were heading on from there but we ordered several bottles of white wine, all freezing cold & it was still only €53 each. Great atmosphere. Have already decided to treat myself for my own birthday coming up. WILL be back. Wonderful place.

Ate here last night. I am quite familiar with greek food, and have to say this was pretty good. Very large portions. I had hummus to start, not the best I've tasted, but quite a large portion. I had souvlaki for mains, and couldn't finish it. It was devine, and came with a nice portion of Tzatziki - probably the nicest Tzatziki I've tasted outside of Greece.

I visited this restaurant with my boyfriend after a holiday to Greece. We had a big plate of appetisers to start, which was a sample of all the best greek dishers. The tzaiki was as good as I've tasted. He had the mousaka, which was delicious with a side of crunchy veg. My prawns were top notch, and a great bottle of greek red to wash it down. It was a little expensice but well worth it for an occasion. Great location too in Malahide!!

Ate here on a Monday night with 2 friends. We all really enjoyed our meals. One had hummus for starters, very good indeed and a very large portion ! I had Saganaki and the other had Greek Salad, both very good dishes. For mains we all had Souvlaki (mixed and chicken varieties). Meat was excellent, tender and very tasty. Wine was also a very good Portugese for a good price. Very nice helpful staff (even though we stayed a little late). Would definitely return.

Went here for the first time midweek (Wednesday night I think) and was pretty quiet. Menu is quite good, decent selection to cover most tastes. Got some prawns to start with which were good and the mixed kebab for main course (alough just came out on the plate as 2 lamb burgers and 2 chicken portions... was slightly disappointed with this to be honest. Was nice enough though. Thought it was expensive enough for what was provided and not sure if i'll go back. But overall wasn't a bad little spot.

Very impressed with this restaurant, there were 6 of us altogether. EVERYONE at the table enjoyed their meal, the food was delicious. There are so many different dishes to choose from on the menu. Good wine menu also. Very friendly and efficient staff, fair price, lovely table and convenient location for DART etc. Quite busy so there was a good buzz in the place. All in all we really enjoyed our night and will definitely go again. Cannot think of any complaints. Would recommend Ouzo for after your meal.

Very disappointed with the change in this restaurant on our most recent visit. Little extras that were there are gone as though corners are being cut for economy. Well it won't work! The lamb kleftiko is now literally just lamb, no veg in the parcel with it. My dessert sounded so good on the menupages menu I was looking forward to it all evening...it was just ok, nothing special. Maybe it was a once off???

My boyfriend and I ate here on Saturday night and enjoyed every minute of it. The staff are very friendly and helpful, from the minute we arrived even though our table wasn't ready straight away they made sure they looked after us. We had been recommended this restaurant by friends so I already had high expectations and I wasn't let down at all. We had the Meze platter to start, all of it was delicious, the only complaint was the portion size, way too much for 2 people but thats a good complaint in fairness. I had the seafood pilafi for main and my partner had the combination dish of the pork and chicken kebab. Both mains again were spot on. This was my first experience of Greek food and all praise goes to Cape Greko for making it a more than pleasant experience.

After spending a year in Canada where there were lots of fantastic Greek Restaurants we have been trying to find a nice Greek Restaurant in Dublin that matches the standards that we're used to. So we decided to try Cape Greko. I went there on Saturday with my Fiancee. We hadn't intended on being there for the early bird but when we were handed the menu we thought it was good value. We were seated by a window and could see the Ocean it was lovely. My fiancee ordered Mydia for starters. Grilled Mussels served with Garlic Butter and Lemon. It was exactly how mussels should be served and cooked it was gorgeous. I had the Tzatziki which is a trad Greek dip served with pita triangles. For main course my Fiancee had the Sea Bass and I had the Cape Greko King Prawns in Ouzo. Both mains were absolutely delicious and I have zero complaints. The King Prawns were to die for. Halfway through eating our main course I noticed a few huge bumble bees flying around the open window at my fiancee's head. I was a bit nervous and pointed them out to him and he said don't worry about it. So I tried to carry on with my meal but only a minute after I noticed the Bee's the Restaurant Manager came straight over and used a tea-cloth to get them back outside the closed over the window and apologized to me. I hadn't even complained about it yet!! Dessert we had the Baklava & Greek Yogurt. I personally don't like Baklava so not sure why I ordered it. But the Greek Yogurt was gorgeous. So for both of us having three courses each, and two 7-ups each the whole bill came to just over 50 euros. And our lovely waitress was consistent in coming over to check we were okay but not an annoying amount. She was very friendly and smily! Can't go wrong for that. Overall - Good Food, Great Service, Nice atmosphere, and will definitely be back again this time with friends. Although the big menu has so many amazing dishes that we probably won't get the early bird again as we want to try some of the other dishes.

Been to Cape Greko last weekend with a friend from Crete. The food was ok, nothing special. My friend thought it was not that authentic Greek- I think the owner may be Cypriot actually. The restaurant itself is pretty nice and some tables right next to the window provide nice views of Malahide marina (like ours). Service was also good. Dublin is still searching for a decent Greek restaurant but it may be difficult to find it as real Greek produce is hard to come by in this corner of the world.

After reading such good reviews here about this place, I decided to give it a try on Tuesday evening. We arrived at 7.30pm without a booking, but were so well looked after! Got a great window table, and started with the starter platter to share - it was amazing! All so fresh, well prepared & presented. Mains were good too, although after the starter there wasn't much room left! Not bad value either, €110 for 2 Starters, 2 Mains, 1 Dessert, 2 Irish Coffees & a bottle of wine - not bad for Malahide & really great food & service!

Had lunch here last Sunday. Great value for money and tasty food. When the main courses came out we thought they looked on the small side, but we both agreed when finished that we'd had plenty. And there was a nice gap between courses, which I liked. Would definitely go back, just a shame it's not in town. Or that there aren't more Greek restaurants in town.

Been there with four other friends, we took kalamari tiganit, the mousaka and another thing which I don't remember as a starter, then my friend took Chicken souvlaki, I took the prawns in ouzo with rice (I don't remember the exact name of the plate) and other things. We also took two portions of pitta bread and no wine. First of all, the Pitta bread was bad, I remember eating it in Italy and in London and it was really different, this one seemed just warmed and nothing else, the portion were ridicoulosly small! Same for the other things, kalamari tiganito are just deep fried calamari with a small bowl of Tzatziki (which is great, I have to say), my rice was bad, no flavour, badly cooked. I'm sure that the prawns weren't fresh because it was a bank holiday and, anyway, there was nothing to taste. I was really disappointed, I was expecting good greek food , but I had a really bad meal. The atmosphere is nice, anyway.

Wow amazing such a little gem. Went here with a group of friends and yes we had to wait maybe 5-10 mins for our table but the service and food makes up for it. It has such an intimate feel although it caters well for big tables. The food is lick your plate yum, will deffo come back such value for money.

Loved this place. A busy Saturday night, we were given a good table. Nice atmosphere, very friendly staff and great food. The meze for two is great value although some might not be able for a following main course which can be substantial. Will be back soon

Ate here on a busy Saturday nite - anyone without a reservation was being turned away, and we had to wait 15 mins even though we had reservation. Staff quite friendly and excellent range of dishes available. Food was not quite as appealing as advertised however (quite heavy on the garlic), and towards the end of the night, quality of service slowed as waitress appeared to go on breaks. Reasonable value for money - will try again sometime

I absolutely love this restaurant and have visited regularly. Its unpretentious and great value for money. Great for a girlie night out or a meal for two and the staff are really nice, attentive but not in your face. The only downside is its location in Malahide. It’s up a stairway and if you blink you could miss it. Not so good for anybody infirm or shaky on the pins. Overall a very laid back enjoyable experience.

Visited here for the first time on a bank holiday Monday. One word of warning, although they're very friendly in the restaurant, getting up the stairs isn't exactly family friendly with babies/buggies etc. Anyway had a really nice lunch. Initially the lunch menu wasn't available but then was back on and we're glad it was as its great value at €13.50 for starter and main course. I had keftedes and souvlaki which were really nice though afterwards did notice a lot of garlic. Service was good though the restaurant wasn't that busy at the time. Will definitely come back

Was last here two weeks ago and been here many times and going again this Friday. Love Greek food. The place feels like you're in a little part of Greece. Food is amazing, got two starters tzatziki dip and halloumi cheese and moussaka for main, very delicious and tasty. Service is very good and the waitress was very friendly, can’t wait to return!!

Been here three times now and the food is amazing. Portions are huge, can never seem to finish. The prices are very reasonable considering location and quality. Only downside is that the waitress is not very attentive (takes ages to get the bill, clear plates etc). Will be going back again though!

I would definitely recommend the Lamb Slouvaki, it was gorgeous! My husband had the Lamb Kleftiko and the lamb literally fell off the bone. The atmosphere was lovely with greek music in the background. We think the waitress should have been more attentive but otherwise we had an absolute lovely time. We will be going back in the future.

First time in this restaurant and wasn't impressed. Had heard how good it was from friends and from reading other reviews on this site. Portions were extremely small and if it wasn't for the more fussy members of my group who didn't like their choices of food, I would have been left very hungry indeed. Ended up having 2 starters, 2 main courses and 2 desserts and I wouldn't say I have a huge appetite. The service was very good but you go to a restaurant for the food and this restaurant just didn't do it for me. Nice atmosphere but if you're hungry go elsewhere...

Have eaten here several times, and it never disappoints. One point to note, make sure you're hungry! Portions are generous. The early bird menu is amazing value. Tzatziki is good, as is the humous. The chicken souvlaki is to die for. Wine wise, the choice is ok but if you like red, you must try the Castillo de Molina - one of the best reds out there and priced well too.

A few of us ate here on a Saturday Night recently. We had a fantastic evening, and we were blown away by the food. I love Greek food after living in a large Greek Neighbourhood in NYC I grew to love authentic Greek food. The service was great, the atmosphere too and the value is by far the best in Malahide for the quality of food. There was 4 of us dining, we had starters and main course and 5 bottles of wine between us and it came to €56 each including tip and a complimentary drink!! I will definitely be coming back here.

This is a really nice restaruant. The food is of good quality and it is reasonably priced. I had the Kalamari to start which was nice but I have had better and the Stithos Olympus which was wonderful. The chicken was slightly chargrilled and had a wonderful flavour as a result and the sauce was sublime. Their chips are also sublime. I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wanted reasonably priced well made food.

This is one of my favourite restaurants. I have been here three times and the service is always impeccable and the food delicious! I normally get the vegetarian Mezze Platter as my main course(it is actually a starter for two) it is so yummy! With tasty hallumi, gorgeous aubergine and perfectly ripened avocado, not to mention the hummous, pita and full greek salad. Will definately be back again!

Had dinner here on Bank Holiday Monday, found it very enjoyable. The meal was healthy and light and very reasonable priced. I had the melitzano salanta with olives on the side and Lamb cutlets ("pagioakia") I ordered the lamb cutlets medium. The lamb was tender and very tasty. My girlfriend had the Saganaki for starters followed by meze platter for her mains. We shared a Baklava for desert. This restaurant is for all occasions. Two satisfied customers left on Monday Night with the intention of returning.

We went last Thursday for the early bird which had a nice selection and was reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and service was prompt without being in your face. To start I had the hummus which I have to say I was a bit disappointed with as it was very bland and not as citousy as the homemade I had had in Cyprus. My partner had a lamb dish which he said was very tasty. For main course I had the lamb tava - the meat was quite tough and it was very bland and I was a bit disappointed. My partner had the pork patties which he said were lovely. The chunky chips I had were over cooked and the Greek Roast Potatoes were a let down. Overall I would give the place 7 out of 10; my meal was all 6's and my partners was 7's and 8's. The staff were very nice though. I may just have been unlucky with my selection. The wine was quite nice and very reasonable

I went with a friend on Saturday, and found the food to be good. The manager took our order (starter Kalamari and Tzatziki Dip) main (Chicken Souvlaki and Beef Stifado). We both enjoyed the meals. The restaurant played Greek music in the background which I enjoyed as it reminded me of my holidays in Greece. I found the service to be okay. The manager was friendly but I found the two waitresses were not as friendly as I hoped, they did not even smile when bringing the food to the table nor clearing away the plates and asking if everything was okay. I would go back, but I would not become a regular.

Used to be a regular at least twice a month and decided to have our Xmas night here. We were told we had table until 9.30pm at time of booking but when we arrived we had not even sat at table before we were told we had to be out by 9.00pm. The waiter stood over us while we looked at menu and we felt totally rushed. Everytime someone took a sip of wine they rushed to fill glass to get you to hurry up and plates were snatched the moment you put fork down despite others at table not finished. As they took the starter plates they put mains in front of us. The staff then stood at counter and watched us eat every mouthful. Felt totally uncomfortable. When they took main plates away we were handed dessert menus and told we would have to order immediately if we wanted anything as they were waiting for table. It was only 8.30pm. I had been looking forward to dessert, coffee, and after dinner drink. After all it was Xmas. In the end we got nothing. We were bundled out and they had reset the table before we even got to the door. Decided I would never visit again but last Sunday had not booked anywhere and was stuck and went in to discover the place deserted. We had starter meze between 2 which was still nice with a few extra chips and olives. The food was fine but the place lacked any atmosphere at all.

Went here for lunch on Sunday, was well impressed. Had been here before for dinners and liked it but i have to say the lunch menu is better. Mainly because they have this chicken, pitta and tzatizki dish that is just to die for which is not on the main menu. Stater was lovely, shared Greek Salad and homous. The mains were totally demolished by all 9 at our table. Valve for money was great as the lunch time menu is i think 15 euro approx for 2 courses. Well worth the visit!

First time to visit was Friday 31st August. After reading the comments already up on the site, we were not expecting much, but we had a great night. It was like being back in Greece but without the weather(not their fault!). Already thinking of going back. Worth a visit yamas!

Went here with a group of friends on a Saturday night, and had a ball. The food is nice, nothing amazing, but nice. The service was excellent, the waitress very kindly helped make our choices as we were all new to Greek food. We had a few bottles of wine and topped it off with a round of ouzo. A great atmosphere, a great meal. Yamas!

Been to this restaurant on a Sunday. Well, I've been many, many times to Greece, both Islands and Mainland, and I must say that of Greek, other than the manager, this restaurant is close to nothing. The service - it's not bad, the girls are very sympathetic, but the atmosphere is too posh and quiet for a Greek restaurant, the food was under cooked, I could not find ouzo on the menu and the waitress was quite surprised when I asked for it and even the olive oil I had to ask for. Not a restaurant for me no, really, I'm afraid.

Cape Greko is an excellent restaurant. I have eaten there many times and have always had a great time. The starters are delicious - I highly recommend the Keftedes, Hummus and Tzatziki dip, as well as the fantastic Meze platter. I'll admit to repeatedly ordering the same main course - Beef Stifado. It really is that good. The atmosphere in Cape Greko is pleasant, the service good and the decor fresh and appealing. The early bird is superb value for money.

Was surprised, not much experience in Greek food but this seemed very good, tasty food. Service very slow, and we were only customers in the place. I thought desserts were all the same ish and very very expensive. Will go back for sure.

I have been to Greece many times and was thrilled to find a restaurant with great Greek food and music. SO the actual place is ok, tables too close together and uncomfortable chairs but this is all forgiven and forgotten when the food arrives. I had the mixed platter and it’s was amazing and filling. To follow a selection of Greek desserts.. amazing. I will be back and perhaps be a regular to this place.

I ate at this Restaurant on a Friday evening with a friend. The service was average, not bad but at the same time not great. I do think the décor needs to be modernised and they could do with changing the CD thru out the night, as it can get a bit annoying hearing the same music over and over again. The food was good we both had Hummus and Pita bread for starters and I had pork for my main and my friend Lamb. Overall our experience was average and I would go back again however we never received our change back from our bill. Waiting staff obviously assumed it was a tip, which I think is a bit cheeky.

I have been with my boyfriend to this restaurant on 2 occasions, and while the food is mostly great, I didn’t like the atmosphere. I found one waitress in particular quite hostile for no apparent reason. When we walked in (early, and on a Sunday evening, the restaurant was mostly empty) and politely asked for a table for 2, she gave us a look of death!! I asked my boyf was it just me, and he said no, if looks could kill! We ordered one of the meze platters to start, which were delicious; calamari and tzatziki were very very good. On both occasions here I had prawns for my main course (but different dishes). I found the prawns on both occasions to be just a tad too chewy- not melt-in-the-mouth like in some places, and for the price of the dishes, they weren't good value. The main courses for me were both forgettable. I finished with a baileys cheesecake, which was good enough and my boyfriend had one of the traditional pastries which said was very nice. The thing with this place is, although the food was generally good, I simply felt uncomfortable here. It was obvious the waitress was fed up with her job and wasn’t that bothered. Her attitude created a bad atmosphere and to be honest, we will not be going back because there are plenty of other great restaurants with friendly atmospheres out there.

Family outing for 10, with meal booked for 9pm. Slight delay for table but nothing major. Staff were very pleasant, food was beautiful, but it took over an hour for us to be served our first course, which for those of us not drinking was a source of frustration. Tables are very close together, but for us it was fine - if lesser numbers, may feel a little squished. Would still go back again and definitely recommend it to others.

This used to be a fantastic Japanese restaurant, so we gave it a try when we discovered this Greek restaurant had taken over. Very very disappointed. This was meant to be a romantic dinner, but we had the music yelling above us and couldn't hear each other. The food was rather bland and not good enough to make us forget the bad atmosphere.

Travel to Greece each year and have eaten Greek food in all types of Restaurants over there. This restaurant is top class, the food is excellent, the service superb and the atmosphere fantastic. All I had to do was close my eyes and listen to the music, smell the lovely aroma and I thought I was sitting in a little village in Greece. We will most definitely be back and will be advising others to attend also.

I think I have probably eaten in this restaurant more times than I've eaten at home. Great quality food always fresh and cooked beautifully. Lovely choice throughout the menu - I have taken the fussiest eaters there and all of them loved it. Service is excellent and friendly. A refreshing change from Italian, Chinese and Indian and fairly healthy too. The value is fantastic and the wine list is good. Portion size is perfect - enough to fill you without leaving you over full (also allows you to sample the desserts). The baklava is a must. For choice, quality service, location and price it’s my favourite restaurant in Malahide and one of my favourites in Dublin. Well worth a try.

Had the early bird menu here one Saturday afternoon. The place was empty and yet the service was very slow. Main course was awful, had been overcooked and was tasteless to boot. Had bakalavas for dessert which were the only redeeming factor for this restaurant.

Overall a decent restaurant and Greek cuisine is such a novelty when there appear to be so many Italian, Chinese and Indian restaurants everywhere. Nice atmosphere and a nice menu - the kefitas is very good. The hummus portions are huge and very addictive! I celebrated a birthday here and the waiter allowed us bring our own champagne - only a 10euro corkage fee! Nonetheless it was a cheaper option than what was on offer on the menu. Service was good and the atmosphere is nice - we ate mid week here and it was not too hectic like the way some of the other restaurants in Malahide can get. We'll be back.

Refreshing meal out...very friendly stuff and a better atmosphere than most restaurants. Disappointing that the only beer options are Heineken on tap and Coors light (why would anyone want chemical laden light beer while having a meal out). Food is excellent, quite simple but it's also good value, the kind of place it's easy to go back to.

We were looking forward to a taste of Greece in Malahide. The restaurant is very small and the tables and chairs not too comfortable. The food was okay. The meals come with potatoes but no vegetables. The service was good but the food not too authentic. It was worth a visit but we will not hurry back.

Had a birthday meal there not so long ago...the staff were really nice. The food is tasty and quite wholesome, but I would imagine different to food you would get in restaurant in Greece, the menu has been made more favourable to the Irish pallet.

I am a big fan of Greek food and was looking forward to my meal here some time ago. I thought the food was good but not 100% authentic (although the chef is Greek). Perhaps I had built it up to expect too much. Prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is great. Staff and co diners make it an enjoyable night out, dancing in the restaurant etc.
