Octopussy is a tiny room but this makes it atmospheric. It was thronged the night we were there. We got a bit of a bad vibe at the start as we were left standing for quite some time before we were acknowledged...however once we got our seat everything warmed up and the waitress was very helpful. People should be advised that there are very few regular tables and chances are you will be sitting on a high stool. This didn't bother us and we loved the view we had from the window of the fishing boats just outside and further away the lights of the marina. We shared 4 tapas which was more than enough and the food was delicious. We had a massive bowl of mussels, a trio of fish (which included chips), patatas bravas and smoked chorizo. We just had coffee to finish. We also shared a lovely Chilean Sauvignon which we were told was just as nice as a Marlborough but about 10 euros cheaper....I wish I had got the exact name because it was delicious and very like the more expensive New Zealand wine. I will definitely be back to Octopussy.

3rd time back here, 1st time with my hubby. We were seated at the window overlooking the harbour and lashing rain, great setting. I had spicy prawns with garlic potatoes and my hubby had seafood paella, we enjoyed it all. Glass of house red/white is €5 which is great value and very nice. Service was good without being over-attentive. Will be back!

Love this place, 3rd time back but this time with hubby. Sat at a window seat overlooking the lashing rain and boats in the harbour, really cool setting. Service is friendly without being over-attentive. I had spicy prawns with garlic potatoes and hubby had seafood paella. We really enjoyed it all. Glasses of house red/white are €5 which is great value and generous measures. Will be back!

We regularly pop up to Octopussy for their early bird which is just astonishing value at two generous tapas and a glass of delicious wine for 15 euro - can't be beaten. From the chorizo squid to tempura calamari to chicken wings, meatballs, seafood chowder, it is all delicious and so nice to have several things to pick at during the meal!! Other slightly more expensive options (but still cheap!) include the Loughshinny brown crab, or lemon and garlic scallops - again, top quality seafood, really delicious. We would highly recommend Octopussy - book a window seat if you're a twosome - the views are lovely and only enhance the experience.

We visited Octopussy for lunch on recommendation but it didn't live up to the expectation. Upon arrival we were offered a table outside but as we are non smokers we opted to eat inside, however, all the seating inside is in the form of high chairs and a wrap around bar. Great if the occasion calls for it but it wasn't to our liking. I ordered the trout and pear salad with the chorizo calamari on the side. The salad was nice but the flavour of the pear was somewhat lost in the mix. The chorizo calamari was delicious. My OH had the patatas chorizo and prawns in garlic butter. Again both were delicious and hit the spot. The service was also very good and the waitresses were very attentive. If I had to find a flaw, other than the seating, I found the portions to be quite large, and as a result the prices were also high. Because if this I found the tapas concept was completely lost. I would have preferred to have ordered a greater variety of smaller dishes.

We visited Octopussy's on Friday evening. The food was delicious, we couldn't fault it. The prawns pil pil and patatas bravas were excellent and portions were good sizes for tapas. The only thing that left a sour taste in our mouths was the service which was disappointing. A staff member knocked wine onto the floor and at least a glass or two spilled out. She picked it up and placed back onto the table saying that she would top us up later. That never happened so we didnt tip her. Overall, a lovely place to eat as long as you you're not looking for service with a smile!

YUMMY! Kind of has a little chipper feel to it, which I loved, but the food was delicious. Good selection of seafood and other things and everything we ate was great. The staff were very friendly too. Will definitely go back.

Been here a couple of times and always satisfied. I had the chowder and fish and chips, all excellent. Herself had the shellfish platter and oysters and had no complaints, she even paid the bill, which was very affordable. Portions were good size and tasty. We will visit again soon.
