Come here all the time haven't been in ages but was there about two weeks ago! They do great Sunday carvery, nice big portions for only €10! most main courses are actually only ten euro like the lasagne etc! Also do the best thin and crispy genuine italian pizzas! too good, and only 11euro or so depenging on what toppings your getting! best value around at the moment!

terrible place to eat have eaten here a coupe of times but the last visit was the nail in the coffin for ever going here again. the food took for ever to come and when it did my partner got the carbonara and she was not half way through eating when she found a hair. i very polietly informed the staff of this and was left gobsmacked when i got no apollogy what made the whole situation worse was when the waitress came back with a sideplate not with a blank recipte ar an apollogy but with the hair to put us at ease by letting us know the hair was not a human hair. Now im not splitting hairs or anything but a hair is a hair and they dont belong in food we will never grace this door with our prsence again

I come here quite regularly for some pub grub when i come out to stay with my dad and sister. For pub grub in Howth Krugers definetely has the best. They have a good choice in the menu with daily specials which change all the time. The food is always fresh and they have variety in their choices. The pub is quite dark so the atmosphere isn't then best. Bit crappy for a summer's day.

quality of food varies depending on the day, but is usually quite good for pub grub. Wings are excellent always. Good prices, service could definitely improve though.

Very friendly service, though food was a bit slow coming out of the kitchen. Brie starter is huge! Quesadillas were nice. Thai curry was tasty but the two people who had that agreed there was not enough chicken in it. Good value overall.

Krugers is a bit off the beaten track in Howth but definitely a well kept secret by the locals!!! The food is very tasty and well prepared and is extremely reasonably priced. There is a good selection between the menu and the specials and the service is relaxed and friendly. My only quibble would be that the interior is a bit dark to the rear but other than Kruger's is definitely one of the best places to eat in Howth!

I love this place!! The staff are always so friendly and helpful. The food is so tasty, the portions are really good and it is great value for money- I would strongly recommend the pate or buffalo wings to start. Both are SO yummy!!

The pub food has been overhauled recently with a new menu being introduced. The prices are very reasonable and there is a wide selection available on the menu and a variety of specials on every day. It is quite popular with locals on the weekends and can get quite busy on weekend days as a result. The atmosphere is allways excellent and the staff are very freindly. The food is of good quality generally and the portions are very generous particularly for the chicken wings. The cajun chicken and the lamb shank are amongst my favourites. The fish of the day is allways very fresh and simply prepared as well. Excellent value for the price.

Enjoyed a few lunches here recently, good variety, good quality and very decent portions. Contrary to earlier reviews, it would seem that the chips are home made, but I believe that the food side has recently been taken over and has improved alot as a result. I Started with the buffalo wings, very generous portion, nice and crispy and served with a lovely blue cheese dip. My boyfriend started with the goat's cheese tartlet, a good lump of cheese, served on flaky puff pastry with a good sized salad to garnish. We both went for the bacon & cheese burgers for mains, they're served with side salad and home made, really nice, chips. I had just the salad with mine and they compensated by giving me a large one. All in all, its great for a pub lunch, there is a great menu and loads of specials every day. There is something for everyone and prices are not bad. The service is very friendly, but sometimes a little slow. Defo one of the better places for pub grub in howth.

While there isn't anything particularly great about the pub food here (the chips aren't even homemade), the atmosphere is great - especially on sunny weekend afternoons when Howth is bustling.

This looked like a lovely place for pub grub however I was dissapointed with it overall. Firstly, the menu is very limited and many of the items on the menu were unavailable when we tried to order. Portion size is very small although the food seems reasonably priced. Not up to standard for a Howth restaurant.

Myself and a mate went here as she recommended the Cajun Buffalo Wings with Blue Cheese dip. She was not wrong and a huge plate of these are only gorgeous, they make me want to savage them all up. I also had the Cajun Chicken, which comes on a bed of mash - really sexy. The service was OK, not overly friendly but the atmosphere in the pub is great, the locals really enjoy it from the sounds of it.

Spent Sunday in sun baked Howth. Decided on lunch in Krugers as it is under new management. Lovely pub grub in a nice atmosphere. Very reasonably priced. The chicken is really nice. And its location is away from the madness of the harbour area.

Lovely simple pub grub. The cajun chicken is yummy and dead cheap. They also have a choice of about ten homemade desserts; we had three of them between the table and would go back for them alone....
