one of our all time favourites, recently done up but thankfully the food remians as delicious as ever! a few new dishes on the menu but nothing taken off! this is a cosy restaurant that is now, quite modern! staff are always friendly. you cant beat the location, walk off your dinner on the pier and take in the sights! great value and a must visit if you are looking for good tasty food at the right price.

First time going since the revamp - they've added a cool looking bar area. The food was nice, well presented and good value as always with some updates to the menu which was good to see! I had the Brie to start which was yummy and the fajita pizza for mains, my BF had the delish cajun chiken wings and a prawn pasta dish which he said was nice enough but a little bland. We has a very reasonable and nice bottle of House white.

We went to casa pasta Howth with a group of 15 people. 9 adults and 6 children. The restaurant is lovely And the decor is really nice. We had a great day but a bit disappointed with food which was only average. Having been in Casa pasta Howth many times before this time the menu was not as vast and a lot of the dishes that they had before were gone. I got the chicken and broccoli pasta dish which was nice but not as tasty as I have had there before. Overall we enjoyed it but it was very pricey for what we got and there was a 30% service charge added on to the bill.

I visited the newly refurbished Casa Pasta and I have to say it is a great improvement. The place is looking fab, the staff were so friendly and there was a great buzz about the place. The menu isn't very adventurous, but what they do they do well - tasty dishes and decent portions.

Visited recently to check out the refurbishment and was very impressed by the new decor. The place looks great, lovely bright & fresh.I was a bit disappointed to see a few of my favourite things off the old menu missing and the pasta and chicken in a cheese sauce I ordered was a little bit dissapointing as it was quite bland. The service here has always been very good though and it does offer value for money.

Great place to bring the kids ! We had chicken wings and their bruchetta for starters,Yummy. For our mains we had the creamy chicken pasta with sundried tomatoes and I had the chicken pizza..Very Nice. The house red wine was actually at room temp and really nice. The kids had crayons provided and could draw on the paper table cloths, so they were happy. Chips , Pizza and crayons , perfect combination. Nice atmosphere.Window seats also keep the kids happy as they can see the harbour during the day.

if you are looking for a nice place to relax and enjoy good food and some peace and quite, then this is most definately NOT the place to visit. what was meant to be a nice evening meal was hell, this was largely due to screamimg children at a nearby table. the cramped seating arrangements meant this was impossible to ignore. instead of having seperate areas for families and couples. the staff would not do anything to try and remedy the situation and in the end we had to gulp down the wine and leave just to escape this. the food is also a major let down and could be best described as glorified junk food. never again

For my birthday a friend gave me a voucher for Casa Pasta. The food, atmosphere and service was fantastic! Romantic but not so quiet that you feel you cant laugh or talk. Beautiful view if you can get a window seat. The food was just lovely and we had no complaints about it. The service was great and the staff so welcoming and friendly. What we really appreciated about the staff was that they did you come to the table every two minutes while we where eating asking if everyting was ok. We would really recommend this restaurant and will definately be back. TY Casa Pasta, we had a great night!

We visited this restaurant over the weekend after purchasing a menu pages deal. I have not been to this restaurant in quite a long time and I was looking forward to the re-visit. I found the food to be average and would have been disappointed if I had just walked in off the street for dinner. The service was poor and slow this I could see was mainly due to a small amount of staff all trying to do everything which is never possible on a busy weekend night. I would not be rushing back to this restaurant again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here!My boyfriend and I ate here last night. For starters we had the duck pancakes(divine) and the deep fried prawns(divine-also a really GREAT portion as you usually only get a very small amount of prawns but we got about 7 and they were really big and fresh). Out main courses were the bacon, mushroom and cream pasta(very nice but a little on the heavy side) and the meatball pizza(really nice but a little too many pine nuts). Deserts were the hot fudge cake and the apple crumble - both were really divine!!! The atmosphere was super and we were give a seat in the window which really added to the experience. My only complaint was there were quite a few children there and they were very noisy for most of the time-out of the restaurants control! I will be going back!

Was in on Sunday with my parents and my children, was lovely! Whenever we come its the same; the food is consistently good and now even better value than beefore getting three courses for €23 and two for €20, great for bringing the kids as its nice and relaxed and kids get an ice cream included in their meal! atmosphere was great, the girls were very helpful and great to see its still busy coming into winter now! Looking forward to going back!

Went to Casa Pasta with the kids, haven't been in years and was delighted to see that it's exactly as I remember it. The place was hopping , just about got a table! My food was delicious. There salads are to die for.(I love that there is such a good choice as I find lots of restaurants don't really bother with the healthy options). The kids got to choose off the kiddies menu which was 6.95, which I thought was good value. One of my kids is ceoliac and they had plenty for her to choose from which was great. Overall love it. Casual dining. Feel comfortable bringing the kids and we enjoyed it too. Happy Days!!!!!!

We dined here last week and they now do a special of 2 courses for 20eu or 3 for 23eu which is super value. There was a good crowd there but the service was as fast and pleasant as ever. The calamari starter was beautiful, no chewiness at all and was served with a lovely side salad. My friend had the goats cheese which was also lovely. We stuck to pasta mains and couldn't get enough of the salmon in a honey mustard sauce. The evening was complete after eating the nicest banoffi pie ever.

Food Excellent.. service terrible, 2 waitresses on, waitress said she would take the kids ice cream in a minute. Twenty minutes later we had to call the waitress over to get take the order and get the bill as we had waited long enough, ruined a lovely meal. As good as the food is the lack of service would probably stop me and my family returning

We have been to Casa Pasta many times and always love it. It's a small restaurant but it adds to the atmosphere to have all the tables so close together and the waiters shuffling through. You can even see the kitchen. It's decorated with a basic Italian decor, red checkered table clothes and dripped wax candles. The food is great - the duck stir fry, the duck pizza, the goats cheese salad (which has a massive wheel of warm goats cheese on top), the fish - everything has always been delicious. The staff is very accommodating as well. I once asked for a honey mustard dressing I'd gotten on a previous visit and the chef tried to recreate it three times. Very nice. Our first choice for a casual dinner if we are in Howth.

Casa Pasta in Clontarf was really busy this night, so to avoid disappointment we drove out to the branch in Howth. It was empty except for a family of 4, who were practically finished when we arrived. The service was only ok. Two waitresses on duty. When 2 of their friends arrived, they seemed to forget we were there. We had orderd the brie, which when it was ready to be brought to us, was left sitting on the counter, while the chef called out several times for the waitress to come get it!! Had to stop from collecting it myself!! It wasn't great, was still a bit cold in the middle. Our pizza wasn't great either, smaller in size than usual, burnt crust, and just ok. The offer here is 22 euro for 2 course. In the Clontarf branch its 22 euro for 3 course! Whats that about!!! Won't be returning here again suprisingly enough

usually love this place but had a bad experience which will keep me away for a while. The chicken wings have no meat at all and way too overdone. Had a chicken & brocolli pasta which was nice but overall not great. Waitress too busy to notice we where not that happy so just quickly paid bill and left as we where in a rush.

We ate here last night and I was very disappointed with the meal, especially after reading the great reviews it got on this site. We ate early as we brought the kids with us. Firstly there was a sign with a 'Back to School' offer of children eating free with each adult between 6.30 and 7.30. They charged us for the kids meals even though we were there at that time. Myself and my friend had the Ceasar Salad and it was truly the worst Ceasar Salad I have tasted. The leaves were covered in oil and parmesan cheese - there was no Ceasar dressing, the crutons were stale and a plain salad with just leaves, stale crutons and the terrible dressing was €8.50 for a starter size. I definately will not be returning to this restaurant again. On the upside my husband enjoyed his duck pizza and the kids ate their meals with gusto. Maybe we chose the bum meal on the menu. However it was enough to put me off.

As always had a lovely night in Casa Pasta. It is guaranteed that the food here will be great. The pasta sauces are always wholesome and rich. They are very filling but if you cannot finish it you can take it home as they provide a take out service. The service and atmosphere are nice, its a lovely place for a quiet dinner and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is fab on the pier in howth.

I have always been a fan of this restaurant. The food is excellent in general, and the staff are efficient and friendly. I had the brie starter which was wonderful, but it comes with a little bowl of tomato pasta sauce which is unnecessary and would take away from the taste of the brie and coulis, so I didn't eat it. For the main course I had duck with pan friend potatoes which was excellent. I'm not a fan of pasta so it's great I can get a dish without pasta. Two of my party had chicken wing starters which were fairly smothered in the sauce - a bit too cloying they both felt. They also both had the steak which they thoroughly enjoyed. Overall the food is great here, the atmosphere is ok, if a little noisy but one can see the chefs behind in the kitchen making the food and you always know when its ready. Oh and the view is gorgeous if you sit near the window.

Just got a main course here on a Friday after work. Service is good and laid back which is nice and it's a good restaurant for families and young kids. I had meatballs with tomato and basil...it was okay, the meatballs were good and big but there was only 3...also the pasta was overdone which is a shame. To be honest I could probably have made something as good if not better. My sister got chicken primavera which she was happy with. I don't have anything bad per say to say about it...but it's not up there with the authentic italian restaurants.

Spot on. Depicts the epitome of casual dining in the local neighbourhood. The interior is cosy and warm-one of the highlights would be the crayons that are served at the table. They didnt discriminate us by our ages and golly did we have a fun time drawing our own ideal houses and psychoanalyzing it down to every fine detail.Moving back to the menu they serve a mixture of italian and fusion food.Feeling rather full-i skipped starters but did have a go at the buffalo wings my mate ordered. It wasnt anything to shout about but decent. For mains, I had crispy duck which came on a bed of stewed vegetables. The duck was simply crisp and was accompanied with plum sauce which was simply yum.The rice that came along was rather dry and hard to eat. However the meal was satisfying granted company was good.Would definitely be back.Heard rave reviews on their green thai curry which was removed from the menu.Pity really!!

Myself and my boyfriend had a wonderful meal here. It's a cosy little restaurant with very accomodating, friendly staff. For starter, we shared the trio of bruscetta which was an excellent choice. For main, I had pan fried chicken with tomato, basil and olive sauce (they serve the pasta sauces with chicken, veg and potatoes also) My boyfriend had the green chicken curry which he raved out. We skipped desert being quite full from the generously sized portions. Will definitely return and highly recommend this restaurant

I have been here a few times now. Its a very friendly atmosphere. Sometimes when busy, it can be quite tight between tables. The food is excellent. Especially the fresh fish dishes. Dessert menu wasnt great. It was much better other times I ahd gone there. Staff are also very friendly. Would definetly go back again.

Made the trek out to Howth for a birthday dinner and it was worth the dart trip. We had reasonably priced italian staples such as bolognese, lasagna and pizzas and all left full and happy for a walk down the pier before heading for a few pints. It's a really cute restaurant, great comfort food.

Really poor food. The sort ofg thing that was exciting in the 1980s but Casa Pasta hasn't grown up. Everything I aste was grwoned in salt, so you couldn't taste the food at all. We weren't asked whether the food was alright even though I didn't finishe either course. Wine was ok and not too overpriced (but this is Dublin) and the atmosphere was good if you're there for a stag or a hen. In fact that's is the only reason you might go there, if you want to get very drunk, dance on tables and don't care what you are easting because it's only giving you soakage.

We had a bit of a bad experience here - but saying that I would go back. There were a bunch of kids who were unsupervised - they'd been booked in by their football coach and left there when the restaurant staff had been led to believe he woudl be staying with them. It got noisy but the professionalism with which we were dealt was fantastic. The restaruant manager was lovely, gave us the meal on the house and for this I would go back as the mishap was not their fault. The food was not as good as it can be as I think we got the last of the weeks purchases on the €25 menu. However my pasta was very nice. The wine was good and the decor is very inviting and cosy. I will try it again and I'm sure I'll be back here with a better review.

Went here with family on paddys day and had set menu - 3 courses plus glass of wine and glass of prosecco for €25 each. It was really nice and tasty and good value and the trio of desserts were lovely. The starters were mixed to give a taste of everything. I opted for fish pasta for main - very good and my hubby had meatballs also very tasty. My daughter had kids menu which was also good value and she mopped up her spag bol. All in all it is good value tasty italian food in a family friendly atmosphere and nice location. No mind blowing italian fare on offer but thats not what you would expect.

Disappointed with recent visit, calamari not what I remembered, although bruschetta was tasty. Main courses okay, but nothing special. Dessert was so bad it was embarrassing. Meringue, of which, I have tasted better from LIDL, with about 3 berries, which were not even fresh. We used to always go here for a nice night out, but will not bother again.

This is my favourite restaurant in Howth... and possibly the world. I love the relaxed atmosphere and the cosy interior. The steak is devine and also the Italian meatballs. I always enjoy myself when I visit Casa Pasta. The service is great and the staff are very friendly and accomodating!

We visited casa pasta last night and availed of the tasting menu, two words, fanastic value!! 25e for 4 courses, how they make money is beyond me but obviously they are trying to attract customers in these "hard times", the staff are extremely attentive and great with kids, crayons are provided upon arrival, a god send! food was perfectly cooked and quick to the table, with young kids we wanted in and out. Best place to go with kids on the northside without a doubt!

Spent easter sunday with family in casa pasta. Overall a great experience again! Love their wings, cajun are great, pizzas are brilliant value. fillet steak cooked as ordered, pasta slightly over cooked, prob pre cooked but hey it's so busy. The girls are great despite what previous reviewers have said. Great with children and adults alike. My only gripe is brie not cooked right through and on the other end of scale satay completely overcooked. Will always return as great value for money and our kids (2) adore the place.

I've been here many times, and am never disappointed. The menu is extensive with a wide variety of things. The staff are attentive but not overly so. I love how most diners seem super creative after a bottle of wine and make use of the crayons and paper on the tables. My only negative thing about Casa Pasta is the small, unstable tables and chairs that are well in need of replacement. They are all crowded together too so when you get up you've to move/ bump into people!

We have been to Casa Pasta in Howth a couple of times and find the food good and served quickly. The service is however dreadful. At our last visit my girlfriend actually got punched with a fork on her elbow and not a single word of excuse. Obviously it was an accident and we could have been more outspoken about it but felt rather embarrassed at the same time. It is hard to argue with the prices and the chefs are doing their job. I am however contemplating to hand in a complaint to the manager in regards of sour service.

What can I say about Casa Pasta?..... The place ,the food the service...are top of the range, better than most 5 star restaurants I have been to!! Staff are friendly & attentive & in this day & age the prices are very reasonable, especially for kids! I'm so impressed with the new heaters, what a difference they make!! I'll definitely be back there again!!

We have eaten here frequently for years, as has most of Howth, it would seem, as it's clear that there is a very consistant regular customer base. The reason that everyone comes back here is the quality food, for reasonable prices. It's always excellent, I can't think of one occasion that i've had an issue wtih the food here, Visited last night, I had the satay to start, gorgeous, well cooked, slight kick to the sauce, and the chicken was lovely and moist. He had the brie, gooey in the middle and perfectly cripy deep fried on the outside, complimented with the berry coulis and a tomato relish, and as always the signature casa garnish, complete with chickpeas and olives. I went for my favourite main, chicken primavera, the veg is perfectly cooked al dente, and the sauce smooth and full of flavour. Absolutly gorgeous. He had the Tomato, basil & Garlic pasta and enjoyed it just as much. We weren't drinking last night, but the wine list is extensive and varied, My favourite being the Molina Reserve - a crisp refreshing chilean which is amazing wtih chicken/pasta/cream. We finished with coffee which was spot on and headed off home very satisfied. I can't fault the service here either. The staff are just so busy, but always friendly. They may not have the time to be overly attentive, but I prefer this personally. Although I would go to the Clontarf restaurant regurlarly enough aswell, contrary to an earlier review, I have to totally disagree, and say that the food in Howth is significantly better then clontarf. I think the menu is more extensive aswell, they don't do the goat's cheese starter in clontarf for sure. I really like this place and can see myself frequenting for years to come.

I'm so shocked by the last review, myself and my family have frequented casa pasta for years, the girls are fantastic, have always been! The food is always consistant, and service is always pleasant and on the ball. The girls are always particularly great with kids and make us feel like we're very welcome. I love casa pasta would recommend to anyone, the food is great, the service is fantastic, despite what previous reviewers have said. Looking forward to our next visit.

Visted sunday lunchtime with six others, not busy so expected good service, we must've been in the wrong restaurant!! Service appalling, only for the fact we were starving we would've left, on the other side the food was delicious, pizzas are yummy, starters and salads are very good, chicken satay very overcooked though. Shame about the service as we would like to return foodwise but service lets it down.

I eat here a couple of times a year, I find the quality of food very high as well as the portion sizes. However, the overall atmosphere depends on time of day and which table you are seated at. When bookin I always request a table in the "back room"

Was there last night with 5 friends - have been a couple of times and returned reluctantly. I know its a great place for families but children running around at 9.30pm is a bit much. Food was good and served quickly however service was dreadful. Cutlery was thrown at us and we were never even asked if we wanted more drinks or tea and coffee. Doubt we will be back. This site wont let me give it a zero for service!!

Fantastic for families - busy busy so try to reserve, they have a great kids menu and always a few specials alongside the favourites. Cheerful and professional service, feels like an Italian restaurant should. Kids can colour on the tablecloths and parents can enjoy red wine, good food and a buzzy atmosphere.

Always enjoy Casa Pasta food. Food here is always good and enjoyable. Staff are always pleasant and helpful. Layout of the restaurant can be hit and miss. Sometimes you may get a nice table next to a window overlooking the bay, or you may get a seat marooned in the middle of the floor next to the kitchen. So that can be offputting if you end up in an awkward table. Otherwise I can't complain. Thoroughly enjoyed my food and evening.

I had dinner with two friends here on a Tuesday evening. The restaurant was almost packed to capacity but we managed to get one of the last tables without a reservation. We had sweet chilli chicken stir fry, vegetable stir fry and rocket salad with bruchetta. All 3 meals were delicious as were the desserts. Neither the food or service could be faulted. The only thing I would say is that probably because it is so reasonably priced it attracts alot of families - which can come with crying children as was the case on our visit so it was difficult to talk over that at times, but in a way it made it a true Italian restaurant experience!! Loud and jolly! The total bill came to €75 (incl 10% tip) for 3 mains and 3 desserts.

Ate here for the first time having read some of the reviews on menupages. We booked a table for 8.30 and when we arrived, it took almost 10 minutes for them to decide / find a place to put us. We got over that and had a look over the menu. I had a soup and a pasta dish while my other half had the chicken satay and a pizza. Bothe my dishes were lovely and the waitress had no problem adding another ingredient into my dish at my request. The pizza however was not nice at all. The base was like scone mixture and it was sickly swamped with cheese. The waitress seemed a bit stressed and forgot to bring the parmesan, the desert menu and eventually our bill. I must say that the staff seemed friendly enough and attentive to what seemed like the regulars that they knew on first name basis, but they did not look after non regulars like ourselves at all. So all in all a bit hit and miss really. I dont think we'll be going back soon, i would much rather go somewhere i feel my custom is valued.

Ive been to casa pasta in clontarf on numerous ocassion but this was my first vist to the Howth establishment. We split the duck pancakes to start, very nice and quite enough for two. We had the meatballs which were a substantial portion and the chicken fajita pizza. This was all complimented by a yummy bottle of shiraz/cab from Auz. One waitress was a little away with the fairies but on a whole the service was very good. On a hot day in Howth it is recommended to book.

We had been recommended to visit Casa Pasta by friends as it is child friendly and we have three young children. We booked for 5.30 and there were several like-minded families around us. The restaurant itself is cramped but I would not criticise them for the lack of atmosphere given the time we were there. We ordered food, which came with a reasonable timeframe. My wife and children had pizzas, which were okay if uninspiring. My dish of meatballs and rice was a disaster. When this was raised with the staff they basically said it was my fault for ordering it as the meatballs did not go with the rice (my wife had made the order as I was busy with one of the kids - the waitress had actually said it did not go with pasta and recommended the rice). Also, for €17, three bits of overcooked meat and some annihilated rice seemed somewhat mean. €3 for a can of pop was also a rip-off. Another helping of my order was grumpily provided, although the rice was still badly cooked. We will not be hurrying back.

I visit casa pasta quite regularly, i love it, i've been going there for a couple of years now and never have a bad experience, anything i have ever ordered has been fabulous. The service is very good but not the best i've ever experienced but all in all brilliant value and will keep going again and again.

I eat here on a regular basis (about once a week) food is fab I would recommend the Duck for starter & the sweet chilly chicken stir-fry, desserts are also fab and the atmosphere is lively so not an ideal location for a romantic candle-lit dinner staff all very friendly except one particular new face who never musters up a smile nor seems to have any conversational skills which is a shame as otherwise my comments would all be glowing but having said that it wouldn't stop me going I Love it :o)

Went here for dinner early on a Saturday evening after spending a lovely afternoon in Howth. Not the place for a romantic meal, the restaurant is always full of children, but if you have kids with you then there is no problem. The children get to draw on the paper tablecloths which keeps them entertained! Food is good, had chicken wings to start and a pizza for the main course which was lovely! Would definitely recommed this place if you were going for a meal with children.

Went to Casa Pasta yesterday (11 May). Bit of a strange smell in the restaurant when we arrived. The starters were fine but the main courses were not as good (all had pasta). Two of us had tomato pesto pasta and A LOT of oil and my sister had to send it back. Given what we were told was parmesan cheese but it was more like mozzarella cheese. The dessert was good, wouldn't rush back.

I have eaten here on a number of occasions, last time was for my mothers (mothers day), it was very busy and had alot of children in the place (but what place doesnt on mothers day) - the food was very nice, and the staff were just ok, the girl serving us should have gone to learn some manners, but the food was very nice, and the price was fine. I would eat here again, its more a casual eating, than a place you'd have a romantic meal at. But it is worth a visit.

Good value family food, Casa Pasta is my idea of a quick in and out meal, it is middle of the road food that represents good value for money. I good there when I am to lazy to cook and will continue to go there, I would go there more if the food was special but it not, just average food good value with a cheap house wine. But hey that what they are good at!

The pluses here are the relaxed atmosphere and the prices - a great unpretentious place to have a relaxed meal with friends. The food choice is limited- it is not haute cuisine, but everyone at my table enjoyed their meal.

Have been eating here for years and always has a good night. It's cheap and cheerful, everyone always knows what their having, don't need menus at this stage! Fillet steak is really good! Don't expect anything fussy and you won't be disappointed. Would like a few new dishes though, although the specials are good!

Always busy! Always great value...and now, they have a great new menu...I go to casa pasta often as its "cheap and cheerful!" a great nite out any day of the week... ...I wouldn't go here for a quiet romantic meal, and I wouldn't go here looking for a lot of attention from the staff, so therefore, I am never let down! the food is tasty and such great value...it's so busy, all the time! There’s a great buzz in the place! Their new menu is great but still has all the old favourites...their specials are always imaginative and delicious... ...the only fault with Casa Pasta that I can come up with is that it's too busy - but is that not a good thing? Maybe they could do with an extra staff member here and there...but overall Casa Pasta is a great Casual dining experience in a lovely area... ...if you're starving, try their new meatballs in pepper sauce, sauté onions and mushrooms with sauté potatoes, for only €14.95, it's huge...also great are the Cajun wings, goats cheese salad, Caesar nuts and bacon, hot Italian sausage pasta, bacon cream mushroom pasta and the new pizzas...and of course the steak is one of the best in town

I love going to Casa Pasta in Howth. It’s cheap and cheerful and the food is fab. I love the Caesar salad with nuts but as they have a new menu now with some tasty main dishes and Pizza's. I had the Mexican Pizza and my friend had the meatballs. Loads of food, we where so full afterwards and very satisfied.

I'm a frequent visitor to Casa Pasta and the last two times I’ve been appalled. First off, the smell as you walk up the stairs, what is it? Yuk. Put anyone off their food. Not a good start, we climbed the steep stairs to be approached by a scowl on legs, a very hassled waitress or hostess as turns out, we were ordered to wait by the stairs for our table which we did patiently. About fifteen minutes went by and I had to approach (scowl). We were seated on top of two other customers, literally. Thankfully our waitress was very helpful and nice. Food was average as the appetisers are far superior then the main courses, prices are reasonable enough but hey how much is a bowl of pasta?! Will return to give benefit of doubt, but definitely needs to pull up its socks.

Was in Casa Pasta on Saturday night with some friends, got a great round table in the corner by the window. The food was excellent and there was a nice space of time between courses. The service was friendly and efficient. The only comment I would have is that the back is very squashed and I think if they took one or two of the small tables out it would be better.

First of all I would like to say that I live in Howth and have been going to Casa Pasta nearly all my life! I think the food, service, value and everything is great and I just think that all the people leaving those horrible comments are stuck up snobs that think that if something is not what they want it is completely wrong!!

I have been to Casa Pasta many times and in the last few visits have noticed a fall in the quality of food and service. Our starters where cold and the staff are rude and pay little attention to the customers. There was one certain member of staff, who when putting a tablecloth on the table behind me hit me in the back with her elbow and didn’t even say sorry. I don’t think she even noticed there were customers in the restaurant, she breezed past the tables and didn’t smile or use a polite tone of voice once. Over all not a nice experience, would strongly recommend taking your time and money elsewhere.

I rarely say NEVER again, but I’m saying it now! I ate here with my sister and we bout ordered pizzas! Mine never arrived and I cancelled it (because my sisters came out and they told us that the other pizza would be another 10-15mins, only after enquiring further did we discover that the order had been misplaced and my pizza was to be made up just then!!) anyhow, insult to injury... my pizza was on the bill!! Cheeky or what!!

Do the staff here write these reviews? Went to Casa Pasta Howth [a mistake I admit since following a dreadful experience in the Clontarf restaurant of the same name I couldn’t drag myself back there] about a month ago. It is one of these places that people go, I am convinced, because they were told once it was a great place and haven't stopped to make up their own minds. The food I had was awful. REALLY awful. No amount of black pepper in the world could have offered redemption.

You have to try their fillet steak - it's a must and is great value! You get the choice of chips, boiled or sautéed potatoes with it also comes with a glorious house salad and fried mushrooms and onions - all for around EUR24 - you can't get better than that for a fillet steak with all the trimmings! Service is always excellent too.... although, be careful where you are seated - some seats get a blast of cold air when the door is opened!

Always a good place to go for an impromptu meal if out walking in Howth, recommend the bruschetta, their humus is gorgeous too and any of the salmon based pasta dishes. Can get very busy, booking is advisable. Never had a bad meal here so always happy to return.

Good value for money. The pizzas are really quite good and there is a varied menu. Good atmosphere in this place too especially on a summers evening when Howth is busy. Really like this place.

You can't go wrong with Casa Pasta, food is good, mainly pasta based, but the fillet steaks are very good, also love the brie! Can get a little noisy early evenings as is popular with young families and very kid friendly. Overall a great atmosphere and excellent value for money.

Too many happy reviews for this restaurant, granted it's family friendly and they leave crayons out for kids to draw on the table cloth but that's merely to distract from the food without flavour. It's a grand place for a quick bite but I always find that the food lacks proper seasoning / sauces. Our local club have all our socials here and I'm trying to bring about change. The view from the room on the right is lovely but it's the same from other great restaurants in the area. To sum up this place, it’s fine for an early bird as you finish your day in Howth but if it's a meal your looking for, look elsewhere.... there’s no shortage of fine eateries within a minute of Casa Pasta.

A fantastic restaurant with a colourful bijou atmosphere. A young approach to dining makes this restaurant a pleasure to visit with the family. That's not to say that it's not a great restaurant for a romantic meal for two either! The food is delicious, well presented and varied. And the kids get to draw on the tablecloths! Why didn't they have restaurants like this when I was a kid? I have 2 recommendations when visiting Casa Pasta: 1. Get the chicken quesadillas - they're excellent. 2. When your dining partner is visiting the loo, lift up their plate and draw a rude picture on the tablecloth underneath it! Casa Pasta is also excellent value for money.

Had lunch here on Sunday, April 15th, this is a great restaurant for young families. The kids can draw on the paper tablecloth. The cost of the meal will not break the bank, cheap and cheerful. I had the Cajun chicken wings to start and the meatballs for mains, I was absolutely stuffed. The restaurant is very rustic and small. Many people were turned away, so book ahead. This is a nice way to end the day in Howth after your walk or drive.

Food is to die for!!! Best quality and value you will ever find in Howth and surrounding areas. Atmosphere is wonderful but is too squashed. The service is not great. God forbid you ask for a glass of water... daggers!! But once the food is put on your table it’s all forgotten about. Defo recommend the steaks.

Phoned Casa Pasta Friday 23/3 to make a booking and receptionist was not very helpful. Table at 9pm for a family of 4 and quite curt on the phone. Quite off putting first impression.

One of the best restaurants in Howth (IMO) its cheap, the food is exactly what you'd expect to get for the price paid, they are not shy with portion size, staff always helpful. Popular place for groups, especially young teenagers, which put is off slightly the last time we ate there, but hasn't changed my view on the place :)

Textbook 'Cheap n' Cheerful'. Great food, good atmosphere and very reasonable prices in this busy Italian eatery. Try and get yourself a table in the room to the right and preferably by the window and you'll have the good seats! Duck with pancakes or deep fried Brie is our choice when it comes to starters. We're unanimous on the meatballs for main and leave room for whatever the dessert special is for the day. Always a winner with us.

A really great restaurant, the only qualm I had is that initially we were waiting a while to be served, but service was very prompt after that. Great atmosphere, a real Italian feel to the place with live violin music. Food was delicious and very generous portions and friendly, polite staff. Would definitely go back.

The service was good they were very busy when we arrived but I didn’t mind waiting a few extra minutes to order. I had a bruschetta to start that was fantastic and the sweet chilli chicken as a main course. They were both fantastic. The portions are great. The food is VERY reasonably priced and there is a real Italian feel to the restaurant. Great overall.

Personally I thought the food wasn't excellent, but it satisfied me and there was good choice and variety. I think the portions could have been a little bit bigger, when thinking of the price they were. The atmosphere is top class though, and it’s perfect for a fun meal out with friends.

Excellent food, with excellent service at extremely good prices. Simple, fresh food cooked well. Don’t go too far from the pasta though, other foods nice, but not great. Pasta lover's dream. Go for the chicken and sun dried tomato pasta!
