Great restaurant. Could not speak highly enough about this place. Food exceptional and Staff extremely professional whilst very friendly. Incredible value for money. Lovely ambiance there too. Always look forward to spending an evening there with either my partner or a group of friends. The Manger adds a special touch. He is outstanding with customers.

Was in here with a Friend yesterday and I have to say that it is one of the best chinese restaurants I have been to in a long time. Not going to be a long review, as there isnt much to say about this place, it is abosultely brilliant. Food is gorgeous, restaurant is classy but oriental at the same time and the staff and service were out of this world. Everytime we were low on water, they were staight over to our talble topping us up. The only fualt, and the reason i deducted stars was for the price, but the service and food easily makes up for that! - Patrick

Lovely food either for take away or restaurant. Not many options in Donabate with restaurants. Atmosphere is nice. The service is great, lovely staff. Food is fabulous. Really recommend eating here.

Had an enjoyable dining experience here on a miserable, wet Wednesday evening. Two early birds (4 courses), a soft drink, a beer and a bottle of wine - €59 - super value! Food was very good and service was great. Will definitely come back here next time we're in north County Dublin - for the value, the service, and to try the other dishes on the menu.

Chung's is the best restaurant in Donabate. The food is very well done and presented and the service is equivelent to a fine dining restaurant. The menu is a bit pricey, but very good!

My husband and I visit chungs restaurant on a regular basis and find it hard to beat. The food is excellent particullary the aromatic duck and their fillet beef dishes. The staff are very friendly and the service is exceptional they will gladly prepare dishes to suit your specific tastes. The prices are reasonable and we are always offered a drink on the house. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone

went arrived to chungs at 8pm saturday night 13th December for christmas party with 30 other people, we were served our starter at 10pm ( 2 hour wait) and main course at 11.30 (3.5 hour wait) service was absolutaly appauling with no apolgy given. We were not the only people complaining on the night. Very bad value for money christmas dinner set at €33 per head we did not stay for our dessert or coffee because we finished eating at 12pm. the waiters were refilling drinks at the table without any one ordering will never eat there again and either will a lot of my collegues, for such a small restaurant you would think chungs would be interested in keeping there local trade.

My boyfriend and I ate here on Saturday and it was gorgeous! The place was packed so there was a great atmosphere and our meal was gorgeous. It was excellent value too. would definitely recommend to anyone

Sadly this restaurant has got worse, I really enjoy good Chinese and when this restaurant opened it was very nice but the standard has been poor for along time now. I find this with most of the restaurants in Donabate. it is like they know they are guaranteed a certain amount of business due to lack of competition in a fairly large village. The staff are very friendly though!

My wife and i decided to eat out and we said we would go to Chung's as it was the best place around we had a set meal for 2 and we ordered a wine it was very cheap!!and very nice service !!so i would advise any1 to go there.

My husband and I decided to have dinner here as it looked like a nice restaurant from the outside and there isn't exactly much choice in Donabate. The service was good and staff friendly, although they sat us in between two full tables even though the rest of the restaurant was empty. The music was from was cheesy bad radio station. We ordered a set meal for two which contained four courses. EVERY dish was gelatine based which meant it was all thick and gloopy and tasteless. Only the duck dish was edible. We couldn't bring ourselves to eat more than a few forks of anything and even refused a doggy bag. It was very dissapointing and expensive at almost €100 (including an average bottle of wine and 10% service charge!!) We left feeling cheated and hungry. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The Chinese take away across the road is far superior and way better value for money!!

Have eaten here a couple of times with family and friends. The food is good quality, if a little expensive. Presentation is good, but staff were a little over attentive for my liking. The manager (I think) seemed a little on the hyper side. Also tried the takeaway - similar restaurant quality, but at Restaurant prices !!

Have been here loads and loads of time as I live local, food is ALWAYS good (well whenever I have been there anyway) its great if you don’t want to travel into town and just stay local. Great staff, all very friendly and helpful.

Don’t let the location turn you off, Living near by I have eaten here many times. The food is beautifully presented and tastes lovely. Well worth a visit. However do check out the prices. This can be a little more expensive than you think. The menu has a good price range starting relatively low to over priced. But it is worth it, great food, great people, great memories. And if it is your birthday or have a group booking you can karaoke all night.

Nice restaurant. Good food. A little expensive though. Takeaway is almost but (not quite) the same price as sitting in. I do use this restaurant quite a lot but it would not be my number one favourite. Most places give you a free bag of prawn crackers if your take-away is more that 20 euro. Not this one though. :-( squeek squeek!

Ate here once and was reasonably unimpressed with the fare..Am a local so tried the takeaway on a couple of occasions too..the last time I got takeaway it was nothing short of disgusting..I ordered House Special Fried Rice amongst other items..it was putrid. Not recommended.

Ahh Jack's..............We love jack's (Jack Chungs) Food is Very Good, Service can be a bit too much, i.e. stopping you from pouring your own wine, tend to "hover" about the table. Always a good feed and a "drink on the house" If you can't get down to sit in (because you have a 2 year old!) collect your take-out (no deliveries) Not Cheap in general, but worth it. If you are with a group and are up for it, ask for the private Karaoke room upstairs

Food is nice, Service is good, price is a little high. Recommend Aromatic Duck. Did not like spring rolls, they have a sauce inside them that I didn’t like, but different strokes for different folks.

Early bird menu has smaller starters than the a la carte. But if you go for the early bird you get starter, main, dessert and tea of coffee. You'd be doing well to put this all away. Service is good, though if its not packed you may feel the service is too attentative. Food is excellent. Can cater for allergies or speical diets.

I have been at Chungs on a couple of occasions hoping that quality etc would have changed but was very sorry I did so. The food was very scarce as well as very bad. Decor is very drap no colour. Staff seem friendly at first but never seem to leave you alone always hovering and looking which leads to an uncomfortable atmosphere. I would not recommend a visit to Chungs if you are hungry as portions are very small especially on their early bird menu. Friends of mine have had the same experience and we won't be visiting them again.
