We booked a table for six on Tapas night and from the first plate to the last plate it was fantastic. Food was so good. I think we tried every dish on the tapas menu and not one disappointed. Staff were great and attentive and let the food coming out at a good pace. Looking forward to our next visit.

Have been here a few times - once for tapa evening and once for lazy afternoon sunday lunch both times I was very happy. I then called in with my partner last week for Sunday brunch and was extremly disappointed. The breakfast wasn't good at all - the sausages where so dry inside we couldn't eat them. The white pudding was also very dry and scrambed eggs was very average. I tried to get waitress attention to say to her but a lot of cyclists had arrived in so they where very busy. I did say to girl as I was leaving and she apologised and said it won't happen again. I don't think I will get my partner to go back as your paying over €20 for food we didn't enjoy or could hardly eat.

Had a fantastic lunch here on Saturday. We had the goats cheese salad and the chicken caesar salad, both massive and nothing short of devine. The warm bread that came with them was so so tasty and the chicken in the caesar salad was plentiful. We had raspberry roulade and snickers cake for dessert and neither of us could finish it. Will definitely be going back here again.

Had a nice lunch here with a friend on Saturday, I had been when it first opened and it was heaving but it wasn't that busy at all this time! My friend fancied something from the 'Breakfast' page and was disappointed to be told that it wasn't served after 12 (we were there at 1ish), even though it stated on the menu that it was available all day Saturday and Sunday, our waitress said that this was a 'misprint'?? Anyway we had soup and sandwiches and everything was very tasty, service was fine, just not as friendly as previously. We finished with a coffee each, for some reason decaf is an extra 50 cent per cup, a bit irritating!! The attached shops are well worth a wander around and all in all it's a nice venue for a little trip to the country - as long as you don't fancy a late breakfast on a Saturday (with decaf coffee)!!!

It was a wintery Wednesday in June when my partner and I visited the Gourmet Food Parlour at Grange. We had the signature salads and we were not dissappointed - in particular, the bread was real "gourmet" fare. A couple of two shot Cappucinos compensated for the rainy view. I'll go back here some sunny afternoon - if any occur!.

This is a lovely place to spend a leisurely afternoon. The coffee shop is ideal for either small or larger groups and it caters for all types of diets, although with the choice of deserts the diets went out the window. The gallery, gift shop are lovely to browse around. The service is efficient and friendly and not rushed at all which is just what we wanted. Its best to book your table to avoid disappointment. Really wish our weather would improve to avail of the lovely outdoor area. Definitely be returning.

This is a great little find of a café. Large variety of sandwiches, salads, pastries. Dined here with a coeliac friend last week and she was delighted that gluten free bread was available. Friendly staff & fresh food. Service is leisurely but not slow, this is a place to linger and enjoy the meal. Outside tables great for sunny days. Would love to see the Grange open for a single seating set evening meal

This is a gem of a place out the country in north dublin which has a lovely gift shop, art gallery and gardens. If it was a bit warmer, we would have sat outside. Two of us had the afternoon tea special, one person had the lovely broccoli and leek soup with a large half sandwich for 8.50, great value. We were very impressed with the manageress there, a warm and welcoming person who really seems to love her work and is genuinely interested in her customers and in promoting the restaurant. There is a great choice on the menu for all budgets and we will definitely be going for a few more 'Sunday' drives there.

visit the grange regularly, lovely atmosphere and great fresh food. we went for a family lunch just after christmas and unfortunately they had run out of quite alot, the soup, some of the sandwhich fillings etc. could have just been the time of year and it didnt put us off. kids love the desserts and hot chocolate with marshmallows. the salads come in huge bowls and the panninis and gorgeous! returned recently for tapas night which was great, porttions bigger than standard tapas bar plates and delicious! only down side was the wine was quite expensive.

Visited this little hidden treasure in Ballyboughal last week with my husband and 2 kids & we were so impressed with the place. The food was really delicious & portions were huge. I had the tomato brushetta & soup which were the best Ive tasted. My husband had the hot special which he said was terrific. They do a great kids menu also which went down well with my two as there was plenty to choose from. They also couldnt get enough of the homemade choc biscuit cake which I had to buy to bring home as it was so yummy. I also saw signs for their live music Tapas nights which will definetly be something I'll book in the near future. The attached gift shop was a dream for browsing in with all its lovely bits & bobs. This place was exactly the thing we were looking to find on our weekend outing & will be back as soon as possible to savour more!

Would recommend for light snacks and coffees. Visited here today for Brunch with a party of three and took us over two and a half hours to order and be served main courses and deserts. They did apologise for the delay on a number of occasions but for the amount of people behind the counter I cannot think how it took so so long to get served. Will not be returning for a meal but maybe a snack in passing. The service was deplorable.

Had dinner here on Saturday night with a group of friends. We were all very happy with our food, and although it was busy, we were never left waiting. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, of any taste, because the menu has something for everyone. Food was well presented and the service was great!

Went here twice over Easter and while it was enjoyable it was disappointing. From being here mid week and at w/e's the food quality and service is much better during the week. Service is slow but it's a relaxed place so don't go if you're in a hurry. Food quality this time was not so good, bagged brown limp lettuce is not very attractive or tasty. got regular lettuce in the caeser salad and not romaine as on the menu. Soups were delicious have to say especially the spinach one. Got a take away sambo too but you had to look hard to find the Irish ham - really thin skimpy slice! Decor is lovely, and the shop has really nice present ideas etc. Please work on the w/e food/service and we'll be back!

went to tapas night in grange.group four persons. 8pm start time.we arrived 7.50. nobody else there but nice atmosphere. good selection tapas. had loadsa food and a lot of wine. they were transferring their wine list over and were certainly unprepared.service standard very casual. wine was poured into my glass to taste, acknowledged that i liked it, waitress replied 'great' and walked away without pouring more wine!!! v funny.food v tasty and freshly prepared,no reheats.chef on his game. would recommend to anybody.they dont advertise and its a little gem hidden away in the country side near oldtown.casual and tasty food, very reasonable.tapas ranged 6 euro to 10 euro for prawns etc. great value and loadsa food....please pay visit

I visited this Gourmet Food Parlor because I had such a great time when I visited their DunLaoghaire branch. It turns out that Gourmet Food Parlor in the Grange is just as good. The live music was fab, the food tasty and with unusual combination of food that i hadn't tasted before. I would highly recommend it. top marks for food service atmosphere and value

Having attended a weekend course locally The Grange was only 2 minutes down the road so we had lunch at the GFP on the Saturday and Sunday. The atmosphere by day was lovely and welcoming. For starters we had a selection of breads, sun dried tomatoes and olives while we waited for mains.Day 1 I ordered the Clonakilty warm salad and my fellow Diners the burgers. Having never had a pudding salad before I was pleasantly surprised with the contrast and the flavour of the salad which contained cooked bacon, black pudding, balsamic dressing and rocket greens.Day 2 I ordered a club sandwich on ciabatta which was again lovely. For deserts I ordered the carrot cake and the strawberry & rhubarb crumble on each day which were fresh and tasty. On both days we were well looked after but service was a little slow though it was very busy. I'd love to go back nearer to Christmas for an evening meal as I'd say the atmosphere would be very Yuletide!!

Have been here a few times for coffee and look around the shop and Gallery, love this type of cafe with its own style and things to look at. Most recently went for brunch, really enjoyed the scrambled eggs with salmon and good coffee too, great value as well. Will definitely be back.

Excellent food, service and staff. Large portions, fresh Mediterranean food, definitely "Gourmet" with a lot of imagination and beautiful presentation. The Grange offers an eclectic environment and unusual setting. Nice escape from urban droll. Wonderful place to meet friends and family for lunch or tea. Excellent facilites, lots to look at in the art gallery and gift shop. Well worth the visit.

Went here with my 2 children and husband for a coffee and something nice. Service was rubbish, it took the girl ten mins to come to table to take order. There was 5 people working behind counter for 7 tables. She asked me to repeat my order 3 times and when we received our coffees they were the wrong ones. The place is nice but food is not worth travelling to Ballyboughal for. Will not be back.
