I attended here with a few friends. I thought the atmosphere was great however I thought the food was not great. the service was good but not great. I gave the value rating a 4 because for the price the service and food was good. Good night overall.

Went there few days before valentines day, it was quite busy. was seated at a table and waited for at least 20 mins before a waitress came near us to take our drink order. i ordered a medium rare steak with pepper sauce which came out well done and my friend ordered a well done steakmwith hot sauce which came out medium rare. had to call waitress attention whenever we needed anything she never came near us to check everything was ok and whether we'd like dessert or coffe. was a warm night and heating was on no windows open very uncomfortable. and witnessed a member of staff sneeze and continue to serve other customers without washing their hands.

This has to be one of my favourite restaurants in Dublin. The place is by no means fancy, but the food is just unbelievable. I have been there numerous times and am such a big fan. Try to Chele Galose, crab claws in the most magnificent sauce! It's a starter but I always ask for it as a main. Very much recommended.

Myself and Mam had lunch here for the 10 euro offer - There was a great choice - two courses for €10. For starter I had the bruschetta and the mains we had steak which was accompanied by sautéed potatoes & mixed veg. The food was delicious and amazing value! The service was excellent - the waitress was very friendly. Hard to believe there were so many tables free - I don’t think people know of the amazing value and good quality food. I would definitely recommend this Italian restaurant to friends - can’t wait to go back!

I have been here a few times for the 10 euro lunch (starter and main) and can't believe there is hardly anyone there. Admittedly not best location for lunchtime footfall but the pub 100 yards away is full for carvery. Each time I go here for lunch I get the sirloin steak for main (choice of about 6 mains). Each time it has been really succulent and I also like how they do the veg as well, and not overcooked. Every time staff are courteous and professional. Nice touch at the end was they gave our kids a pannetone each to take away. The one drawback has been that because there are so few people there, there isn't any atmosphere. Last time I was in a group of 10 so we had our own atmosphere. They used to do a carvery lunch but I'm not really a fan of carvery.

It was a Monday night and whilst there were few diners, the service and value for money fair outweighted the quiet atmosphere. Great choices on the menu and wine list. I will be back again.

i've been there on sunday, lovely atmosphere... the manager gave us special attention as it was my mum's 60th birthday. they sang happy birthday to her and, complimentary beside crostini to each one we also got a delicious dessert. i'd definitely go back to that place especially they've said they're organising christmas party starting from december.

Have tried this restaurant a couple of times. Service is very slow despite being empty most of the time. Decor is very old fashioned. Food is not up to much and is way overpriced for the portions. No earlybird offered and the lunchtime carvery is very limited. Not great at all, wouldn't rush back. I think in this climate all restaurants need an early bird menu to entice customers. This definitely needs a rethink in all aspects. They should relaunch and step up.

There is nothing good I can say about my recent experience in this restaurant. we arrived without a booking and were eventually seated in a rather large restaurant with only 2 other diners. It was at least 15 minutes before the waitress came to our table to take our drinks order even though the place was deserted and there were 2 front of staff on. I ordered the penne arabiata which wasnt spicy in the least. My husband ordered the spaghetti bolognese which for some reason was cooked with cream and was completely bland. The service, food and ambience are terrible and very over priced for what you get.

Arrived 3pm on Sunday, only 2 other tables occupied. There was a cavery on, so people in our party wanted to order of the menu and some wanted cavery. We were unable to order from the menu while the cavery was running. We were not advised of this when we telephoned to make the reservation. Half the table had their cavery dinner finished before the rest had even ordered from the menu. I ordered the Bruschetta Mediteranea, which turned out to be a toasted baguette with cheese. I did not receive my order with the rest of the party, the waitress did not know who ordered what from the menu, so just left my starter at the other end of the table. I had to reorder my starter. I was only getting my starter when the rest were having their mains. My main and starter arrived together. Service is very slow and extremely bad. The decor is very 70’s, staff are ignorant and unpleasant. The waitress threw the food over the table, instead of walking around and placing it on the table. My partner ordered seafood for starters which had an extremely fishy smell would not recommend the fish.

This was my second time to visit this establishment. On both occasions I really enjoyed my food. Today the service was provided by an extremely friendly, smiling and helpful young lady. Her knowledge of the menu was excellent. Any requests were met with a no problem attitude. My starter consisted of a very tasty meatball dish and my companion opted for a pasta starter in the form of bigola al pesto which he raved about. For mains I opted for a fillet steak with pepper sauce. My only gripe would be that the side order of chips were frozen and not of the fresh variety. My companion had a pizza which was made to order and he said that this was fine. For desert we had a tiramisu each. This was very nice and the portion size was most decent. The restaurant was a little quiet but then again it was a Monday night. On the basis of this visit I will return again. The next time perhaps I will try their carvery which is open seven days a week and offers a soup starter and choice of main for only 10 euro. If I had anything negative to say it would be (a) about the chips as mentioned above and (b) perhaps to knock a euro off the price of the meatball starter.

Much better food since last visit in Aug 2009. Arrived at 6.30pm Friday, just 2 other people there. Food much better but awkward to be eating in such an empty restaurant. Pasta was v nice as was steak -cooked exactly as asked. Had lovley side order of home made chunky chips. Glad to have returned & will go again. Still think it a little pricey and that they need to do an early bird.

Three of us ate here at about 5.30. Only two other tables were occupied. Decor is very 'seventies' for a new retaurant. Starters were excellent and substantial. The chicken in one of the main courses was definitely reheated. The sauce on it was delicious and they probably hoped it would mask the fact that the chicken was not freshly cooked. This restaurant does not provide an early bird menu and I felt overall that it was a bit expensive for the time of day and the food we got. Maybe we will go back and give it another try!

Went here last Thursday with himself for our anniversary. Arrived about 8pm and there was only 1 other couple there (it did get busier over the night). I had a caprese salad for my starter, which was only OK - nothing amazing! Himself had Pasticcio Di Patate, potatoes in a Bolognese-y sauce topped with cheese. This was absolutely gorgeous!!! Were surprised when ordering our mains that there were no pizza's on the menu, strange for an Italian! Asked our waitress and she told us that they did indeed have them, that they were just having new ones printed up. So himself had a pizza, and I had the penne alla diavola - both were very nice! Bill came to about €40 which wasn't bad. Service got a bit slower as there was only 1 waitress serving.

Had a fairly poor meal here last weekend. The only good thing was the band in the corner who distracted from the food itself. The food tasted mediocre and the presentation was awful - as someone else wrote here it looked like it had been thrown onto the plate. We had starters of sausage in a tomato sauce and the truffle and bacon ravioli. Both tasted ok but the portions were far too large for starters. I left half the pasta in preparation for the main course. For main both of us opted for fish dishes. I had the red snapper which smelled fishy - never a good sign - and was enormous and it looked like the sauce had been thrown on top from a distance, a big fishy mess and far too large for one person. My partner had the monkfish, supposedly wrapped in bacon but as it turned out there was a little bit of bacon sitting on top. We ate a few bites and decided to get the rest wrapped up and go home instead. Oh, and the wine was awful - a 3euro bottle being sold for 25euro, I couldn't drink it. I definitely will be avoiding this place in future.

Visited here with the family for Sunday lunch. Unfortunately the Sunday carvery advertised in flyers was not up and running so we chose from the extensive a la carte instead. Service was friendly and restaurant surroundings are lovely. I had pasta - which was very nice. Snapper apparently was very good also. Just a few words of recommendation to owners: firstly- get a kiddie's menu sorted. there is none as it stands, and not all children like pasta, which was what ours were offerered. (Even some nuggets/ fish goujons would be an easy fix)..Secondly- there should be a cheaper lunch/early bird option..This is virtually standard in all restaurants now... All in all- a nice restaurant and I think if these recommendations were taken on board it would go a long way...

We visited this restaurant on Mothers Day and I have to say it was a great restaurant to spend my first mothers day! First we arrived with an additional 2 people than we orginially booked for and the staff managed to find us a table although they were almost fully booked and were helpfull in doing so. My partner and myself ordered the Bruschetta Mediteranea for starters which was beautiful and not to filling, the others ordered Prosciutto E Melone which was also delicious. For the main course we ordered Spagetti Alla Carbonara, which is a favourite dish of mine and it certainly gets my approval! The sauce was lovely and creamy with plenty of bacon, a great size portion as wel. The others ordered the fillet of steak which I also tried and was beautiful, the steak just melts in your mouth and the sauce was amazing, like a bolognese sauce with chillies, not your typical boring pepper or mushroom sauce! Finally we all ordered cream filled profiteroles and tea and they completed the meal, I'm still stuffed from the meal. Staff were friendly and nice throughout the whole time we were there. The band that was playing really set the mood and they were very good, you would think you were on holidays! We will definately be returning soon. . .

Visited on a quiet wednesday recently. The underground parking facilities are really handy. Our meal varied between mediocre and very good but the service, as other customers have pointed out is really terrible! We had starters of Bruschetta Mediteranea which was quite good and penne cardinale which had far too much sauce. The menu states that it has a light sauce but I found it very heavy and it smothered the dish. Our main courses were filetto gourmet and gamberi del pirata. My partner cannot tolerate too much cream and was told that the steak was ' as on the menu' which stated a 'drop of cream'. We had to send it back as it was drowning in creamy sauce. My Prawns were perfectly done but I had to eat on my own as it took another 15 minutes for my wifes replacement dish to arrive. Throughout the meal we found the waitress to be almost distainful of us. I don't know how this place has lasted more than a few weeks if the service can be this bad. We won't return

What has happend to Da Enzo! This question is more for the owners than public in some ways. Do they not read the commnets and take them seriously!? Do so at your peril. I was a major fan of the old Da Enzo in Fairview and welcomed the arrival of a newer, more modern space expecting the food and quality to move also. I have been at least 7 times and have reasonably enjoyed food but agree with so many of the common grevienaces ..slow service / poor serving of dishes like the lasagne / poor side salad. etcThe Pizza's are a recent addition and are so bad I assumed they were for kids menu. Plastic looking base - this has to be bought in? My last outing was very poor I am sorry to say as I want to come back as location suits me but unless I start to see improved comments, I fear management are not listening. There are seriously bad reviews here for your local diners. Do something serious to improve or I fear you shall not succeed.(i cant move stars by way - want all 3)

Staff were not very friendly or helpful. They had no pizzas on because their oven was broken. My friend who was with me had another friend visit this restaurant a week later and they still had no pizzas. I had spaghetti carbonara and this tasted nice. It is a bit overpriced especially with the current recession. They should have an early bird offer on. Underground car park was great however as it was raining when we arrived at the restaurant.

We visited this restaurant just after the New Year in the hope of a nice family night out with good food and a great atmosphere. Unfortunately Da Enzo could not provide this. We wanted to have a drink before having wine and were offered either vodka, baileys or whiskey, no other spirits were available. The menu looked really promising but when the food arrived the lasagne appeared to have been made beforehand, reheated in a microwave and then dropped from a height onto the plate. The other dishes were slightly better but not by much. At the end of the meal the waitress asked if everything was ok and I said that the lasagne was 'not the best' to which she shrugged and walked off and then ignored us. We eventually got another waitress to give us the bill (without bothering with coffee or desserts) and left paying only the amount stated. Would not return, as even if the food was lovely the attitude of the waitresses was terrible.

Very over priced for a local resturant. Service was hit and miss - not at all friendly. Meatballs to start €9.50 for 3 meatballs? Seafood was good. Lasange was poorly presentated but tasted good. Food was ok but over all would not at all rush back. Wait staff not a bit helpful and very expensive for a local resturant.

I visited on a Saturday which I would expect to be busy. The restaurant was for the most part empty. The service was still extremely slow. I ordered the calzone with Spinach and ricotta. I was told that they tended not to fold them as they didn't get a great result. Still sounded like a nice pizza. Spinach and ricotta being a nice traditional mix. It was only a good while after making the order (which was in the process of being made) that I was informed that the ricotta was to be replaced with Mozzarella. I was then slightly offended with by the comment that "sure YOU wouldn't know the difference". I made light of the fact but still made mention that I would. I was not offered the menu to reconsider my choice. The pizza I received was overcooked the cheese having been cooked into a tough skin. I would have expected more herbs on a pizza than the amount of spinach I got. Another person I was dining with had the same pizza hers was even worse. It looked like a pizza base had been lightly covered with spinach then baked overly long. The attitude we received when hers had to redone completely was at best frosty. I had to ask for parmesan to sprinkle on mine to give it flavour. The meal was overly expensive for such poor quality. The bill was paid in full but not a cent more. I will not be returning.

Went here on Friday evening around 18.30. Very few people in the restaurant. I had a pizza which was very missable, quite stodgy and unappetizing. My fellow diner had Lasagne, which they said was nice. Half bottle of wine was €15, and they didn't have the one on the menu. I felt it was not good value for money overall. I won't be rushing back here again.

This must be a "my-first-fisherprice-restaurant", all I can say is there are many things wrong here, the basics need to be done before anything else. The staff seem to assume that the patrons don't have a clue. The menu I received was missing a page and there were spelling mistakes on the menu. I ordered Funghi Alla Parmigiana which sounds nice - but there was no presentation, it looked like vomit on a plate. There was very little bacon in it. I then ordered a pizza which said it had artichokes on it, when I received it, it had none and no comment was made by the staff. I ordered Banoffee Pie and they had none. My friends ordered a Calzone and was told that they served it flat (hello Calzone?), they were also told that they had no Ricotta (hello, basic ingredient?) and that "we wouldn''t know the difference" when it was finally served is had no base sauce and was burned, a replacement ordered was not much better. I don't recommend the Gamberi Alla Roberto (€9.50) as it is 5 prawns with with some cream - boring and lazy. This restaurant has potential as there are no other Italian's in the area, but the staff need training in service, the chef needs to go back to chef school. Nice wine though.

Visited here on Saturday at 6pm with 5 people. We hadnt booked and they asked did we mind taking a table by the kitchen as they were quite busy. No sooner had we sat down then they said they had another table in the main part of the restaurant if we didnt mind leaving at 7.45. We moved and the place was practically empty and remained that way for the duration of our visit. 2 of our party ordered a calzone with spinach, ricotta cheese and egg. They were told by the waitress that the chef had found in the past that the contents didnt cook when it was folded over so they cooked it open instead and was that ok, so we went ahead and got it. After the order was put in she came back and said they had no ricotta but would replace it with mozarella "sure you couldnt tell the difference" we were told! When they were served, they were tasteless overdone pizzas. One had to be redone. When the waitress was told this she said "well i told you how it would be" The service was generally slow- all of us receiving our dishes about 5 minutes apart. 1 person got steak which was stringy and dry, another got a quattro staggione pizza which had no artichoke (as said on the menu), I got ravioloni al Fhungi which was pretty bland. Dessert was just ok and they had no banoffee which was on the menu also. Would not go back and wouldnt advise anyone else to. The wine was nice though.

Our previous visit was not a good experiance but as the restaurant had only opened a week or two we decided to give it another try. It hasn't improved much. The service was very slow with only three tables were occupied. Our starters eventually arrived and were slapped down on the table. We assumed the waiter was having a bad day as it took another 5 minutes to catch his attention to remind him that we had ordered wine. My starter of Bocconcini di Fileto was extremely saltly and barely warm. My partners Bigola al Pesto was however very tasty. I had Fileto Diplomatico for a main course and It was tough and overdone. My partners Gamberi Fritti was smothered in sauce the menu having pointed to 'some tomato sauce'. With Desserts, tea and coffee the bill came to over €110. We won't be going back

Was here for Sunday lunch.Same as dinner menu so a little bit expensive as lunch. Will not come again for Sunday lunch due to poor value especially in current times and this was reflected in the almost emply dining room.Great food and will def return for evening dinner. If prices were reviewed downwards, turnover would increase.

Da Enzo provides an exquisite dining experience, to find genuine Italian cuisine in Dublin is an absolute rarity. I am by all means a difficult man to please, especially when it comes to fine dining, however with Riostorante Da Enzo i found myself wholly satisfied. As myself and my friends gazed at the menu we were given aperitifs to whet our appetite, the meal that followed was simply divine. Myself and the party with which i dined were delighted with the quality of food, the staff and the unquestionable ambience of the restaurant, I must add that the veal and seafood pasta dishes in particular were delicious. The attention to detail on behalf of the staff is another attribute which must be paid to this fine dining establishment, this attention to detail found itself in the form of welcoming, hospitable and efficient waiting staff who serve patrons with a manner that simply cries classical training. I cannot stress how impressed i was with this restaurant, the food was authentic italian food and is well worth a visit.

We had the Filetto Diplomatico with Italian Potatoes and it was fabulous, My wife had the Penne Diavolo which was a little spicy, which was announced by the waiter previous to ordering. We had Mussels and Bruschetta as starters, which were very enjoyable. The Homemade Tiramisu was to die for and finished the meal nicely. Service was excellent and the staff very efficient and attentive. The Restaurant was busy enough although not overcrowded. Italian Restaurant, Italian Staff, nice touch. We will be going back for sure, soon.

Myself and some friends went along last Tuesday - none of us had been before and were a bit surprised at how formal it was. But we were hoping to enjoy a good Italian meal. However we were sadly disappointed. They didn't have my first choice of starter and so we ordered garlic bread with mozzarella instead. This turned out to be a bad choice as the tiny square of bread on each plate wouldn't have filled a bird. The mushrooms in creamy sauce weren't any better. Poorly presented and very bland. Having said that all our main courses were ok - nothing to write home about alothough I did enjoy my carbonara. However the silver lids on the dishes when they first come out is a joke - you expect that in a fine dining restaurant and Da Enzo certainly isn't that, as again the presentation of the mains was very poor. One good point overall was the extra touches such as the mini bruschetta, the delicious aperitifs and the sambucca sorbet. But you would expect this given the extortionate prices of everything else on the menu! Admittedly the wine was good, although again they didn't have my first choice. The service in general was lack lustre and the staff looked like they were under duress - hardly surprising when the atmosphere was so strained. There were a few other diners but there was no 'buzz' in the place. And every time our table started laughing and enjoying ourselves, we got a few strange looks! I definitely won't be back even if someone else offers to pay!

I've been to this restaurant twice. I only went a 2nd time to give it another chance (which i regret). First time I went with my boyfriend for lunch. The starters were nice, but the steak was terrible. We were unaware it didn't come with anything as they didn't tell us. So we ordered some sauce which took 15mins to cook. Meanwhile we had to watch our steak go cold. The waitress was not the most friendly after we asked for some sauce. The second time i went was with 2of my girlfriends. We rang them at 5.30 to book a table for 6pm as we live locally. They left me holding for 5mins while she went to check if they had a table for us. She said they could fit us in. Got there at 6 & there was one table occupied. When we realised they didn't make chips we had to change our orders in a hurry because the waitress waited & didn't give us time (2 tables soooo busy). We ended up ordering plain steaks with "garlic CREAM potatoes" (which she recommended as they had no sauce that day - come on it was a Saturday evening) these were more dry than Gandhi's slippers, no cream whatsoever! Will never go back there again... especially because on the way out when we looked at the table behind us....... they had CHIPS!!!

My family and I, some 9 adults and 5 children ate here recently. Besides maybe 4 other customers, we were the only people in the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. We found the service a bit slow as if the staff had better things to be doing. My wife's food was cold when served and when it was returned it looked as if it was zapped in the microwave. The prices were reasonable if I was in town, however I would have expected a more reasonable type price given it was Artane. Being an Italian, I expect to have a lot of tomato based sauces, but not to the extent the food was disguised by it. When leaving the staff gave the children some lollipops and sweets which was a nice touch, although when we asked for a lollipop for one child (who didn't get the lollipop, we were told by the staff we had our quota. Very surprised at that. We won't be rushing back.

I was a big fan of the quality of food and service at Da Enzo when they were in Fairview so I was delighted when they opened in Artane. I've been three times since they opened and nothing's changed (even some of the same staff moved to Artane). There are complimetary aperatifs, amuse bouche and cleansing sorbets between courses; the waiting staff are professional and don't invade your space. I've never had a bad meal with them; the portions are large (sometimes too large), the salads are fresh, vegetables are crispy, the steaks are really good quality, the pastas always satisfy. The desserts might let you down but honestly I've only ever eaten a dessert once because I'm always so full by then. It's not a cheap restaurant, the atmosphere is not very romantic (big square room) and the music is pretty weak (not Italian) but if you're there for the food, imo, you'll be totally satisfied.

booked table for sunday afternoon for nine adults five children. Even though there were only four other people in restaurant service extremely slow. Starters overall ok. When my main meal came it was cold. When I asked for it to be heated i got no reply from the waitress just a LOOK. five minutes later i got my meal back while everyone else had just finished their meal. Pizzas only come in two sizes. Only serve house white wine by glass no other choice. Waitress gave out lollipops with mints on a plate when handing us the bill. We thought nice touch but no. On leaving having paid bill ( for the service and food not worth it ) i asked for a purple lollipop as one child did not get one I was told that they had GIVEN OUT THEIR QUOTA OF LOLLIPOPS yes unbelievable they refused a lolly to a young child. Three members of staff stood in a line to tell myself and my husband this. Cannot say how disgusted we were never mind how ridiculous it sounded. Could not recommend this restaurant well maybe if you choose only their recommended wine, if you love cheese and tomato sauce on everything oh and can live without a purple lollipop.!

Food was excellent - a real Italian restaurant. Very good value for money - our bill for 3 came to €85 (no wine). I recommend the pasta dishes for starters or mains, A cut above the normal local Itailian.

I brought my young children here as a treat at 5.45 in the evening. This accounts for the poor atmosphere as we were the only ones in the place for the first 45mins. That I can understand it was very early however, they don't cater for children at all (It's an Italian restaurant in a residential area?) My 4 year old boy had a 12inch Pizza put in front of him We weren't offered an early bird discount and the service given that there were 3 waiting staff on and only the 3 of us at the one table was really poor. I couldn't get any ones attention. The food was quite ordinary though tasty but we took most of it away with us as the kids couldn't eat the adult portions placed in front of them

Visited here on a Tuesday evening with a friend - yes the place was not full but saying that the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Food was very tasty - so much so that I would have loved to lick my plate :) The steak does not come with anything which is disappointing - my friend was not happy that they also don't do chips - however she said the steak was cooked to perfection! An early bird menu would be welcome! Will definitely be back!

When I visited, there were only about 4 tables full. My starter of mushrooms in a chese sauce was very tasty as was my mains of carbonara. My friend's steak was cooked to perfection. I liked the little touches such as the apperitif, bruschetta and the sorbet. Food here is good, service is friendly but prices are bit dear especially for 6pm on a Wednesday evening! An early bird would probably get more customers in - it would certainly get me back!

Dined here as a party of four recently. It was a Sunday lunchtime and the place was suprisingly empty so not much atmosphere as there was only one other table occupied. A nice touch of pre dinner shots and bruschetta on the house were welcomed. The service was prompt and friendly from start to finish. Our meals consisted of 3 starters, 4 mains and were enjoyed by all. Fillet steak was cooked to perfection, lasagne & risotto also went down well. Unfortunately the prices tot up when you are charged for all the extra's side salad, potatoes etc.. No one had dessert & only beer is the Italian by the bottle. If they offered an early bird or Sunday lunch price I am sure it will pick up trade a bit. Overall a nice experience and food was good but the prices won't keep me coming back!

I have been to this restaurant twice. I have never been so DISAPPOINTED with a meal in my life!!! Firstly, I ordered the house Rosé, €18. I tasted it & thought "umm this is fruity & fizzy". It was "4%" alcohol content. Its not the percentage but HELLO 18 euros for bottle alco-pop!!! Got that changed. Starter: Salsiccia Con Friggione, (A classic rustic dish from Bologna, italian sausage cooked in the oven with onions and tomatoes topped with cheese and passed under the grill!..... translated.... 2 undercooked boiled sausages with like puréed tinned tomato poured over the top with cheese. Main Course: Filetto All'Arrabbiata (This fillet steak is flambeed with Brandy and cooked in a classic spicy tomato sauce from Southern Italy). Steak itself was lovely but more tasteless puréed tinned tomato poured over the top with water running round the plate. You don't get any veg/potatoes so you also pay for that seperate. I got Mixed Salad (A seasonal mixed salad tossed in a Italian dressing).... translated... colourful lettuce dripping in water, a tomato & grated carrot. OH and had to wait for that as the waitress forgot. I got the impression she wasnt too happy because I changed the wine. My partner's Patate All'Italiana (Potatoes with garlic and bacon in a creamy sauce)..... was freezing. OVERALL the menu is the fanciest part of this restaurant. We paid €90 for that! The bill was thrown onto the table. So my tip was a scrunched up bill and wrapper from 2 headache tablets. That was my partners birthday disaster. Oh the table next to ours was sooo close we had no privacy. OH & A BIT OF ADVICE oil the doors in the female toilets. They didnt help the headache. Absolute disgrace to call themselves a restaurant. Won't EVER return!!!!!

What a delight to finally have a restauant near enough to home that we don't have to drive into town. Da Enzo is a typical family fare Italian restauant. Moderately priced and moderate in presentation and taste. It won't wow you but it does offer comfort food and a pleasant yet unstated atmosphere. We had availed of this restaurant in it's former incantation in Fairview but found the lack of parking facilites daunting so gave it up as a bad habit. If your dining experience leans towards the middle of the road and you are not looking to brek the bank when you want to eat out, then Da Enzo is the place for you.

well as da enzo came highly recommended by friends and as locals we decided to give it a go and support a new business opening up in this current climate. It proved to be a great night for our party of 8 from the moment we arrived and parked in the impressive underground carpark which brought us straight to the restaraunt. We were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our table promptly. The atmophere was very lively and busy as we felt like there was no recession here as the place was packed. The menus covered a broad range of choice. When seated we were greated with an apperitif and some crostini which i thought was a lovely touch. For starter i got a prawns roberto which were deliciously done in a beautiful sauce. Then we got a sorbet which we really weren't expecting. In general the response was that the portions were just right. For main i went for the costa which was a mixed fish grill which hit the spot nicely.Regards the wine the ladies went for the merlot red and pinot grigio white. The desserts were very tasty with the banoffee pie and tiramisu proving most popular.Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the night and were made feel very comfortable although i think we might of overdone it with the wine! The bill worked out reasonable. As usual the 4 lads did our duties at the end of the night. will be back again for sure

Had a meal here for my birthday last saturday. The table had been booked for half 8 and we were really looking forward to it as we were regular customers of their old fairview restaurant. We were shown to our table straight away but we had to ask for our menus, our order was taken shortly afterwards and they brought the wine directly after that. however that was the only thing they brought for the next hour and 15 minutes! not even the complimentary crostinis which they are known for and we saw other parties being served with! It was then that we had to ask what had happened to our food?? the waiter just said "its saturday typically busy" he brought out the starter then and our main meal arrived quickly enough after that, our plates were left infront of us for the next 20 minutes, we then decided not to have a dessert as i think we would be still waiting for it now!! either way they never asked us! we completly understand that saturdays are busy but not even an apology for such appauling service is unacceptable for such a new restaurant! they should have stuck to the smaller premises in my opinion, am very disapointed as i really loved their old place! the food wasnt terrible but i was so hungry after the long wait i probably would have eaten anything! wont be back!

With a boyfriend who lives close the the Malahide Road and a shortage of restaurants in the area we usually head to Malahide or town to eat so were delighted when this new restaurant opened we were delighted. The service is very good and the choices on the menu huge with lots of vegetarian choices. The are lovely touches including an aperitif and gorgeous sorbet. Definately one to visit.

Dined were with some friends to celebrate some great news one of us received. I honestly could not fault the place, the food, service and presentation was top notch. We rolled out of the place after having too much to eat (completely our fault) and maybe a little bit too much to drink (even more so our fault!) Great night over all, will definitely be back.

Have eaten here a couple of times since it has recently enough opened. First time with my boyfriend, both enjoyed our staters and mains. Second time was with a table of 4, the service and food were both very good and we left saying we'd definatley come back again. Very comfortable restaurant and lots of choice on the menu. Would recommend to anyone who loves Italian food. There's some nice different choices that I havent come accross before.

Went here last night with my other half. Was really looking forward to the vist going on the two previous reviews... We were told to go hungry - the portion sizes were average bordering on small so I was left feeling a bit disappointed. I ordered a pasta dish to start - now Im not a huge eater of pasta but Im fairly sure its not supposed to be crunchy! Himself ordered the meatballs and was a tad disappointed in the size of them. The Sorbet between courses was a nice touch. My steak however left alot to be desired. I went by the guide stated on the menu and ordered a medium steak - cooked to 2cms both sides and the inside pink..... my steak came out well done - not a trace of pink to be seen and trying to get a waiters attention to say anything was nigh on impossible so I chewed my way through it. The other halfs dish was nice however we were a bit shocked to hear that you had to order (and pay for) side dishes as extra!! At nearly €80 for two starters, two mains and two waters the price was a bit ambitious for these recession times.... Dont think we'll be back in a hurry!!

I went here with my husband to try out this relatively new restaurant that has opened on the Malahide Road. On entering it looks like walking into an office block but soon you enter into a bright airy room. The waitress guided us to our table and we were given an aperitif it tasted like sherry which was quite nice a basket of bread/butter and some brushetta tasters!! I thought this was a nice touch to the start of the meal. For starters I had a starter that was explained like baked cheese on a bed of spinach and my husband had the garlic bread both were lovely. Afterwards a sorbet came out for both of us which I never got in an Italian before I was pleasantly surprised as this cleansed the palate before our dinner. For mains I had the gnnochi with tomato and my husband had chicken with mushroom cream sauce with cheese potatoes and veg. Both meals were delicious. We skipped dessert as we were both full from all the lovely free nibbles at the start as well as our own meal. I cannot remember the price exactly but it was very reasonable considering the prompt service, friendly staff, the complementary nibbles and lovely food. I would reccommend this restaurant and will go there again.

This restaurant has only recently opened so it hasn't got an atmosphere of it's own yet, we also visited on a Wednesday night and there were only a few diners there. Make sure you're hungry when you go as portions are on the large size. For some reason they could not deviate from the menu, one of my party wanted sautee potatoes but all they could offer him were plain boiled spuds - odd that the Chef couldn't fry a few potatoes! The staff were a bit too enthusiastic and at times it felt a bit like they were part of our group. All in all though we had a very pleasant meal, the food was really nice, they have a surprisingly extensive menu, however they let themselves down on the presentation, side dishes should be served in a bowl of some description, not plonked on a side plate. Very good value for money €108 for three people, starters, mains and wine, no desserts
