After coming home from abroad it strikes me that not only has the gimmick of this place long warn off but the quality and value for money where never really as good as its reputation sometimes had you believe. Sushi has seen a huge growth in popularity over the past few years but the options in Dublin are limited; yo sushi would now be my last choice. The staff are still nice and efficient, but it has nothing special and the food, particularly the sizes, leaves a lot to be desired

I went to YoSushi twice in the last couple of weeks, first after a shopping tour and then again a week later for the 20Euro all u can eat. I found it compared to other sushi places fairly expensive the first time, nontheless the food was yummy and the range is great (noodle dishes, rice dishes, chicken and beef sushi additional to the more common fish and vegetable options) the second time we went for the 20euro all can eat on sundays and it was great. The selection was big, and there was always enough food, that to say i think the atmosphere is great in there with the foodbelts going around the place and you can just take what you want. Also the staff is very friendly.

I decided to give Yo Sushi another try on a different time of day but had much the same experience. Yo Sushi is not really sushi, much of the food is deep fried & the sushi that is on the revolving belt is of a limited selection. I would also venture to say that the ingredients are likely not of the highest quality Extremely expensive, as a sushi lover I have had much better Sushi and Asian food from several other restaurants in Dublin at lower prices with fresh ingredients. Would not go back again and would not recommend this restaurant.

every few months a mate and I go here. Its a very causal, chilled place. The staff are very friendly. The food is good and It caters to people who have varied price ranges as the food/dishes are in particular coloured (blue, green etc) bowls/plates which indicate the price. There is a choice of still/mieral water at the table by tap.The surroundings and decor is really funky.

Myself and my wife were in town doing some shopping in the sales and were looking for something quick and tasty. We like sushi and pretty much any type of food that involves rice/noodles. So we went to Yo Sushi where we had one of the worst meals on our personal records. We both had sushi, miso soup and I had chicken yakisoba. It was terrible.I couldnt eat it. It was the poorest quality and flavoured chicken I have ever tasted. I could have sworn it was made a week earlier and reheated in a microwave. It was so bad that I had to tell them on the way out in which they discounted the dish from our bill. Although the kind gesture - we will never go back. It was so bad. We ate in Wagamama a few days later and that was in a different league. Thats where we should have went originally.(I dont think the rating bars to the left are working correctly) I would give Yo Sushi 2/5.

Sushi train style self service. A bit pricey but I go when there is an offer like blue monday when all the plates are €3. Great fun place to eat, food is good. I do wish they do more promotions doh cuz its quite pricey. You can refill your water and miso soup for free :)

Visted here on Sunday evening around 4. Busy but not too crowded and I was seated immediately at the counter. As always I was asked had I been before (I like this for the novice I once was) Drink order taken and I helped myself to some tasty sushi off the belt, not a huge selection but I ordered a few dishes from the kitchen and they hit the spot. Tasty fresh fish with lovely perfectly cooked rice. Service was impeccable as always but my only gripe would be €2.50 for a Bottle of Diet Coke, it's a bit much!!!

I've only started eating here recently and I'm wondering why I hadn't been eating here sooner! I love Japanese food and usually go to another restaurant in town which can be quite pricey. Yo Sushi is very good value and handy that you can pick dishes so you can have portions of many different foods instead of the one dish. When you eat in they also give you unlimited Miso soup (which is all vegetarian) when you pay for one bowl. On Mondays they also do all plates for 3 euro so it's good way to start the week. You don't have to eat at the sushi bar, you can order whatever food you want and its all freshly prepared and yum!

Went here after the gym, dangerous. Because of the self service nature of the sushi belt - if you are starving you will just start grabbing plates off the conveyor. This is good and bad. Instant gratification is always good but you end up being stuffed within minutes. I like the minimal staff interaction, they are there if you need them. The sushi is fine, fresh and there is a reasonable selection. The prices seem to have come down too since first opening. Sashimi, hand rolls and roe available to order and service time for fresh orders is fast. Would like to see more offers like blue plate Monday. The previous tenant had a sushi 55 promo - all you wish to eat for a set price within 55 minutes - this was great. Will continue to go here for hassle free and tasty dining.

For a different dining experience and good quality food at your own pace, I really like YoSushi. The decor is cool and quirky, and I love the design of the tables with your own water and sparkling water taps (a euro for all you can drink), the wasabi and ginger and soy all there built in. The food has been lovely and fresh every time I have eaten here. I went here on a date once and we could take our time, eat what we wanted when we wanted, with no drama. Although it's not exactly cheap, it's still reasonable value and very tasty!

One of many good yo! sushi bars we went in around 7:30 and stayed until 21:30 had a wonderful experience real good food which we had to order from the menu but it was late in the evening so that would explain why. Very prompt service and excellent value for money.

Great for lunch. Not the best sushi in Dublin but nice and the variety and speed will always win. The cost can add up if you are not aware of the colour of the plates but there are plenty of lovely filling options for good prices. The miso soup is lovely and the free refills are a great idea. The service is better in the dundrum branch, I had to press the screamer button many times in this one!

I miss when this place had their three plates for 10 euro offer. Going there since I always feel reluctant to pay more! The sushi is good by Irish standards, I don't know about Japanese! The gimmick of having the plates on the belt is nice but it makes me question how long the plates have been there and what their stock turnover is like. I personally would prefer fresher sushi and I found one of my rolls to be slightly stale tasting. I had a hot plate of chicken noodles which was very nice and piping hot. The water taps on the table are nice as is the sliced ginger and soy sauce on the table. Good for a bite to eat at lunch if you like sushi but nothing too special

It was my first time trying sushi. I went with my girlfriend on a Monday to take advantage of the Blue Monday deal (everything is €3). Was pretty good. I had mostly salmon and prawn dishes but there was also a nice chicken salad. the portions are bigger than i expected. I would recommend to someone who wants to try sushi but is unsure as there are plenty of none fish options. Also you can order food which isn't on the conveyor belts.

Despite being a huge chain, Yo Sushi on Clarendon Street manages to maintain an air of cosy, cheap eating goodness. Although the choices available for sushi eaters in Dublin are increasing, Yo Sushi still has the value and taste and setting that make it a lovely place to dine. The value is great, and it's so easy to control your spending with colour coding. The Monday deal at the moment is really good, I think belt dishes are all €3.00, look into it for an exact price, but it's good value. The service is always friendly and efficient, which I know isn't exactly difficult if you know the nature of the service, but it's nice regardless. The food is always fresh and delicious, and salmon plates in particular are yummy.

This place is so much fun. The fact that the food is healthy, delicious and great value for money all helps too. The deals of bottomless water for €1, miso soup for €2 and japanese tea for €1 make sure you get a great deal. The staff are prompt and friendly and the food is yummy. This is a great place to come with friends as its so much fun to choose off the conveyer belt and share. Don't come here without trying the miso soup though....best i've had anywhere!

My friends and I go to Yo! all the time, we love it! The staff are great, the food is amazing and the value for money is definitely worth it! Only thing I would change about it would be the music. Its the same music all the time and it can get quite boring and annoying. Other than that, its perfect! Love this place!!

Just love the place, food is always fresh or made fresh for you. It’s convenient and easy to use. The self service belt is just great with a huge selection of dishes to choose form. I love popping in as a special treat to myself when on that side of town. The last time I was there it was quite busy but were didn’t wait long for a table, I had salmon with rice and also a fruit bowl. All delicious. It’s overly expensive but I wouldn’t eat there everyday! I would totally recommend it to anyone looking for a fresh quick bit in the city!

Went for a late dinner one evening. Hadn't been since it had taken over from Aya. Found the selection must wider that Aya but what drew me to this place was the Sushi 55 which was a bargain at 30e. Now it's pay per plate and if you have a big appetite this could work out pretty pricey! Definitely worth a visit!

Went here withj my two children (we are all real lovers of sushi and sashimi...). Food was OK, but choice was rather limited. Good the idea of the sparkling and flat water. Rather expensive. Would probably go back, because the choice of sushi bar is extremely limited. Dublin does need a decent reasonably priced sushi bar!

I love this place. I just think it's a great concept perfect for a lunch treat on your own or with your girlfirends or even you other half. We tend to go here whenever we are walking around shopping in teh city centre with my hubby. I am a huge fan of Japanese food and this is a great place to grab some nice sushi and if you are curious to try different stuff. I just wish they would add a larger variety and that they would balance the cooking in the back ground so that you always have a great mix xometimes you end up seing the same dishes going around and can be a bit frustrating. Also more deserts please for us sweet toothies out there :p Other than that no negatives, it's quick affordable and the staff is really nice. Enjoy !

I love Yo Sushi It is fun and tasty. Can get a bit pricey and even though there's a great deal for €10, you still always want one or two pieces more. I think they need to pay more attention to the levels on the belt as once or twice I'd waited for a while for a particular piece to come around only for somebody ahead of me on the cycle to take the next available one. For a casual lunch, something laid-back, Yo Sushi is nice. I come here regularly and will be back soon!

I liked this place. Was walking past and decided on impulse to go in for a early dinner. I have always wanted to try one of these conveyor belt sushi places, so was interested to see what it was going to be like. We were greeted by a very friendly girl who seated us and asked if we had been before. We said no, so she explained exactly how the place worked, how to order food etc. (She did explain the €1 charge for the water, plain of sparkling). I really enjoyed the experience of watching all the little plates trundle by and then decide on what to pick. They had a good deal on - three plates and a miso soup for €10 -

I'll never eat here again. In this day and age with our economy falling around us the last thing we need is a ridiculously overpriced sushi bar like this. It's a shame that Yo Sushi own the only conveyer-belt sushi restuarants in Dublin, as they're a complete rip-off. 10 plates for about 50 Euro that barely fed two of us is almost insane. And it's not like the sushi was that amazing, with the selection of plates lacking sashimi of any variety and with a distinct infrequency of tuna-based sushi. To call a waiter you press a button that makes a silly sound- it seems like a funny idea in theory but it's actually very irritating. I'm not a fussy person when it comes to sushi, but after just eating in this place (that charges 2 Euro to drink essentiall tap water!) I know I'll never return. RIP Aya, which at least was cheap.

A bit overpriced and the quality of the sushi is pretty average. But what made my blood boil was that I later realised that they have added a €2 charge - for two glasses of tap water! So beware of the little taps located on each table where you're free to pour yourself a glass of water...it's €1 a pop and there's no sign telling you so! Apparently they charge for "filtered water" in all their other branches too. So a warning to all about this deplorable behaviour. I know it's not a lot of money, but it's the principle that counts. And for the sake of a couple of euro, they will never get another cent from me ever again!

Although I am still moaning the loss of Aya, I was happy to see YO Sushi take over as I think the area needed a sushi place. Food is of decent quality but it is a bit annoying that you have to order all hot dishes as they are not on the conveyor belt. I also miss the 55 mins option Aya offered, although the unlimited Miso Soup offering is pretty good. Staff is also very effeicient and friendly. I will probably go back.

Fighting against the urges for a great hangover-beating fryup we decided to darken 'yo sushi's' doors tempted by its quick service and healthy looking menu. The interior is relaxing, and those little plates passing on the conveyor belt are almost hypnotic - so are the prices. I would come back for the special offers in future. While the sushi is tasty enough the service excellent it seemed like I had spent 24 quid on a few bowls of rice with just a little fish- but then that did many more favours for me than the fry no doubt. Oh and charging for tap water in this day and age! I will be back - at special offer time or when my appetite is not so gargantuan.

I love sushi and was heartbroken when it closed down in Swords! But I would always recommend it. Perfect time to go in is around half 4 as it is not too busy and there is so much more choice on the belt, the only thing that did let it down was their summer menu which was not being put on the belt at all and when we did ask we were told to wait for it on the belt only for them to come over to us and say that we could have it in 20 minutes. This was the only downside as it was being advertised on every table! The price is great though and when you do ask for food it is always tasty! I hope they start the blue monday's that they have in london where all plates are the blue price all day! Always worth a visit for something tasty!

The place looks good and fun, and I like sushi but what I got here was very average and very expensive. The place used to be Aya and I liked it better that way.The choice was limited and the fish that was there was not of great quality. The water is a nice idea but again paying for tap water is a rip off.Wont be back.

went there for lunch with my girl friend. Sit the sushi bar. staff explain the way how it works, I love sushi, so can't wait and take the plate from belf straight away. but after few mins find only very little choice at the time. Wait a while and still the same, so press the call button for help to order something from the menu, We end up with 10+ plates. when the bill comes which supprise me. Its 80+ after 33% off. I feel I been riped off and walked out feel still hungry. I don't think I will back again unless they give a better offer.

The sushi here is pretty good for Ireland but just ok by international standards. The restaurant is bright and modern and the tables are really quirky with a tap fitted to dispense fizzy or still water and special slots for all the condiments. It is a fun experience but it is expensive. The portions seem to be a lot bigger than they were when this was Aya but it all seems a bit too like a chain store for my taste. The staff were pretty unhelpful so it was lucky that we didnt want anything other than the sushi belt. We got the special deal where you get a discount between 3pm -6pm so it cut a good chunk off our bill. Still though, we spent 40 in about half hour of eating - pretty pricey considering the times we are in! I will probably go back only because there's a lack of sushi places in Dublin.

I beat the usual lunch time traffic here and had a very quick and tasty early lunch. delicious sushi, as always, and i think the 'sushi train' with colour coded plates works really well - wasn't very hungry today but felt like a treat so easy to splash out on some fancy plates!

Ate here after visiting the Bloom festival, they were still doing the 30% off offer so we said we;d give it a go. Having visited Yo sushi in Swords we knew what to expect, well kind of. The staff are very friendly and service was good, although the alarms that go off when servie is required can be a little annoying. As with Swords, the selection of sushi on offer was a bit limited. No sashimi was on the belt at all, so I asked it I could have the coriander seared Tuna...it's one of the nicest dishes in Yo. I love they're miso as well, it the nicest I've tasted yet. My one criticism of Yo this day was the toilet, it was messy and looked liked it had not been cleaned in while. They could do with really paying attention to that as it turned me off my whole meal when I saw it. I would be a bit reserved about returning.

Not the best Sushi around, but great value, and if you want something off the belt it's very quick. On the other hand if you want to order something hot you could be waiting a while, they can be very slow. I've eaten here several times now, and I plan on going back again.

A great large airy venue with really nice and friendly staff - this idea of looking out for colour coded dishes is a great way of enjoying your food no matter what your budget - makes for a much more relaxing experience! The food was excellent, the variety was excellent - you could eat there as a vegetarian, or a meat eater who doesn't like fish or just have some desserts - it's great and there's food there for every taste!

Had been meaning to go to Yo Sushi for a while, and had been pleased to see something take over the empty Aya building. I was disappointed with the set up, we were led to a table and promised that someone would be around to explain the process in a minute. Nobody came, so we read the LCD screen that explained everything. Unfortunately we didn't notice that the taps of water on the table carried a €1 charge, which seems a little stealthy. The food was neither hot nor cold. Everything was lukewarm which didn't lead to an appetising lunch. The bill for around 6 plates between 2 people came to around €35 and we left hungry. There are much better places in Dublin to get sushi.

While the service was pleasant enough, this was a disapointing visit. The call button at your table causes an 'Emergency Emergency!' loop to play loudly. As the restaurant was busy, this happened a lot. Why would a restaurant do that? The first time you hear it, you're startled. Why would a restaurant want that? The hot food was fine, but the plates weren't so cold they were refreshing, which is a lot of what you want with sushi. Ths steamed edamame were sitting in a puddle of water, and the aubergine was a bit tired. The tempura was better, but hefty rather than light. And why does the tap water cost €1? That is, we were charged for using the little tap at the table, which we started using before the menu arrived. Because since when does tap water cost? I was also disapointed to see I couldn't get _a plain bowl of rice_, which seemed rather cynical for the restaurant. So even after four plates (and €20+), I left hungry.

I was very disappointed to see that Yo!Sushi had taken over Aya sushi bar but thought I'd give Yo! a try tired anyway. Didn't think the food was that great at all, the stuff from the belt seemed to be slightly warm, which was a bit worrying. I thought that the sushi was also a bit expensive even including the 33% discount. Don't think I'll be going back again.

Been here twice now. First time we got so annoyed with ordered stuff not arriving that we just told them to stuff it. In fairness, they didn't charge us for any of the stuff we did eat, but that wasn't much. Still. I think it had just opened, and the staff were too busy saying hi to their friends to be bothered cooking or assembling food! 2nd time it was much better - lots of choice, lots of hot stuff, great value with the 33% off. Better food quality than its Dundrum cousin. It's still far from the best sushi around, but it's not bad. This time, staff were a bit more attentive, but still not great. There was a guy sitting beside me who obviously liked prawns, as all his plates were the same - prawn tempura or katsu. Eventually we had to go around him to get some prawns before he took 'em all *lol*.

Went here yesterday for dinner. I am a huge fan of Japanese food, specially sushi and sashimi, and my friend who lived in Japan for over 5 years is also a fan. I'd have to say it was a huge disappointment. We had 4 dishes off the belt(salmon sashimi, tuna nigiri, octopus nigiri), and order another 4(chicken yakitori, pumpkin koroke, chicken yakisoba, veggie gyoza). Some of them were ok, but others like chicken yakisoba and gyoza were truly horrible. I could tell they were served reheated. With a miso soup and asahi, the bill came 30 something after 33% discount. Those who don't know much about Japanese food may enjoy this experience, but I wouldn't recommend to anyone enjoying quality food.

A bit of a dissappointment in comparison to my usual sushi restaurant. I went along to check it out for lunch at 1pm just as it was getting busy. Service was good if a bit cloying at times but I think they're just trying to make a goood impression. I had 4 plates and drank water. I asked for a glass of tap water and was told to help myself from the nifty little taps along the bar only to find that there's a set charge added to the bill for water......Selection not great and food standard pretty low for the price charged. I won't be going again unless there's a similar deal operating (33% off)

This is a great deal at 33% off for May. I went for lunch with a Chinese friend and we sat at the var where food goes by via conveyor belt and you pick nd choose small plates. My friend enjoyed the fish sushi and I had a few of the veggie options which were very nice as well. you also can order hot food to order on the menu as well. the plates ate different priuces so you know what you are pauying fro the menu listing. Sparkling and still water and green tea are 1 euro will as many refills as you want. A jar of wasabi and ginger was at each seating area and it was a tasty and fun experience.

There's the 33% discount offer so we thought we'd give Yo Sushi a try. Went there for lunch, greeted by friendly waiters and promptly seated along the sushi belt, and one of the waiters went on to elaborate on the plate system, etc (for the benefit of those who have never been to a sushi belt restaurant before). Since this was Ireland, I wasn't expecting fantastically authentic Japanese food and it wasn't, but the food was still good. The green tea was a bit watered down for my taste. The sashimi (salmon) slices were fresh but a bit too thick for me. We had a total of 8 plates (2 people) for a total of Eur45, and paid Eur30 after the discount. It's worth it with the discount, but I don't think I'll pop by after the discount is over.

Ate here yesterday evening and the place was certainly buzzing. It's much brighter and fresher than other sushi restaurants. We sat at a booth and had some hot dishes and lots of cold dishes. The food is very tasty and the menu is great at explaining what everything is and the different prices. The limitless water, tea or miso soup and the musical call buttons on each tables are nice touches. It's not cheap but it's a good venue to go with a bunch of people. Our bill for 12 different dishes, 2 glasses of wine and 2 soups was fifty something Euro, including the 1/3 off for May.

Yo sushi has finally arrived in town after the much anticipated wait!!I To claim its stake!! The vibrant staff that greet u from the door to your seat gives u a good feel vibe. They have an extensive menu to select from though they dont serve any generous ala carte portions. They specialize in petite portions of food. The prices arent easy on the purse but with the current 33% off the total menu-it helps!!I had a soft shell crab california and duck california. Both were freshly made to order. Both were a just about right though I thought the duck california could have substituted the spring onion with cucumber which would have been more refreshing on the palate.I like the springs of life-the option of still or fresh water at your own dispense. With e1 u can avail to the unlimited supply of either or.. or green tea..Was certainly delighted with the experience and will be back for more!!*squeals in delight*
