We ate here last night and I was really impressed. We both had chicken wings to start and they were delicious. The coating had a really rough texture which gave them a really good bite. Probably the best chicken wings in Dublin! For mains we had the chicken with risotto and the steak which were both really delicious. The chicken was lovely and moist and the risotto was full of flavour. The steak was cooked well and tasty. We shared the cheescake for dessert. It had been recommended to us by a friend and it did not disappoint. Perfect texture with lots of flavour. There was lots of people so the atmosphere was good, there was music on but you could barely hear it with all the chatter. The service was friendly and good in general. My only complaint was that our plates were left sitting on the table for a while after each course.

Popped in by off-chance and was smitten. Crab starter great texture and flavour, pork belly exquisite. All underpinned by cosy interior, attentive / friendly service and great value for money in the Early Bird deal.

First went here on the 2nd of Feb for a birthday dinner. It was so delicious I decided to go back yesterday. Staff were very friendly on arrival each time. I had the crab starter which was very tasty. All at the table enjoyed their starters also. Some had the wings and bruschetta. The corn fed chicken with risotto is delcious. So too was the fish special which was seabass. Great deals on the early bird. On a Sunday it's all night. Lovely red wines on the list. Rioja always a good choice. Staff did enough checks to ensure that everything was good. Can't believe this restaurant is here six years and I've just discovered it. Will now be a regular restaurant on my list.

I went here last saturday with some friends. My first impression was good, liked the look and the feel of this place. I was surprised that there was no rose option on the wine menu, but got the house red which was fine. I also was tempted by the description of the "stout" that promised a "smooth creamy" drink, lets just say that whoever wrote the review must never have tasted it, If you are a fan of draught guinness avoid the bottled stout of offer. I went for the early bird special, which was a starter and a main course for E19. I ordered chicken wings and the fish special - which was sea bass and risotto. I was not impressed by the chicken wings - deep fried bread coated monstrosities, absolutely soaked in vinegar. Some of our party claimed to like them, but I suspect they may have been exaggerating somewhat. Reasonably large portions though - but unfortunately not very nice. The sea bass was fine, probably a bit overcooked. The risotto it was served with was delicious though. The rest of the group ordered the 6oz steak which was fine nothing special. Two of our party ordered mash with theirs but were brought out fries instead. Overall the food was ok for the price but the wings were disappointing. On another note it was a very warm day and there was no air-con in the restaurant and the desk fans provided some relief but there were some issues as a particular group of diners attempted to take a fan that was serving several tables and put it on their own table... some mild words were exchanged...

I went here with my husband for Valentines and I was delight to know that they were doing the regular menu as well as a special Valentines one. Too many restaurants do a set Valentines menu with mediocre food and rushing customers out as soon as possible. The staff were very friendly and accommodating I ordered the Goats cheese profiterole which was delicious and my husband had the smoked salmon salad starter with a creamy sauce and juicy cherry tomatoes. For mains I had the delicious vege option of pasta with toasted pinenuts, and sun dried tomatoes in a cream and white wine sauce my husband had the corn fed chicken in a lovely butter tarragon sauce with asparagus and baby potatoes. We pushed the boat out and each got a dessert I had a lovely buttery rhubarb crumble and he had the most divine white chocolate cheesecake. Our meal came to €67 with a bottle of wine also. I throughly enjoyed it the service, food and atmosphere. I will come again

My boyfriend and I went here for an early bird which seemed like good value. But were were a little disappointed. The staff were rude and unfriendly and acted like they didn't really want us there. The place was absolutely packed and the food was nice, and quite good value, but the attitude of the staff would really put me off going back.

Had a nice sunday brunch here. Laid back atmosphere good for curing the head from the night before. Food is tasty but not amazing, the Lamb burger was my choice and is good for lamb lovers like myself. Desert was lovely, raspberry and whit choc cheesecake. The wine is good but a little expensive per glass I feel although unfortunately not unusally so.

Myself and my girlfriend ate here after spending the day wandering the city. We were seated at the back, comfy and nicely decorated, however the spot light shining in from the lane behind could have been covered with a curtain guys, blinding!
I ordered the Dublin Bay Prawn starter, what arrived were 3 to 4 of the smallest DBP I have ever been served, at least 2 had not been de-veined. This is a dish I have enjoyed in many eateries, I simply could not accept the dish. The helpful waitress took them back to the kitchen, slightly embarrassed. My girlfriend meanwhile enjoyed her chicken wing starter, the sauce was spicy and very tasty.
I waited about 10 minutes before the waitress came back with basically the same prawn dish, de-veined and one extra tiny prawn, the creamy white wine sauce was lovely it has to be said.
For mains I ordered the Cod Rissoto, unfortunately the rice was overcooked, far too mushy, the cod tasteless really and the salt content was heavy handed to say the least. I could not eat more than two mouthfuls. My Girlfriend had the Pork Belly, well cooked and well presented, however the bed of mash was all a bit watery and lacked flavour.
When the new waiter asked how our meal was I informed him of our feelings, the plate told the story of my mains.
I was soon presented with a slice of cheesecake (tasted like fridge) not freshly made, I neither wanted nor desired this and felt it a poor attempt at redemption. Non the less I thanked the waiter.
On arrival of our bill which had nothing deducted, poor form, I called over the waitress, explained my disappointment with the courses and soon the bill returned with my mains removed.
All in all a bad show, great location, great wine list (they have Picpoul de Pinet :) but some really stark food mistakes and no proper recognition of these on the night.
Jury is out.
