I am a big Milano's fan in general, and visited this Milano's for the first time in ages on a Wednesday at 4pm. We were the only ones in the restaurant. I had to call in again at 6pm and by that stage the restaurant was packed! There's a lovely atmosphere there. The food is great. Their Bosco salad is delicious. The staff are so friendly and when there was a problem with my order they were really helpful about it. I find Milano's great value, particularly with the 50% off deals that you can get on o2 treats, and there seem to be lots of vouchers of theirs available in general. I will visit again!

I visited this restaurant with friends on a Friday evening. We did not have a booking but when we went in we were greeted by a friendly hostess who told us it would be 20 minutes for a table. She suggested we take seats at one of the tables in the waiting area at the front of the restaurant and gave us menus to browse over while we waited. We were able to order a bottle of wine and in no time at all our table was ready. There is a nice casual atmosphere and we were served promptly which was great since we had chosen what to have while we waited on our table. For starters we shared dough balls and bruschetta which were delicious. For main course I had one of the light pizza's with salad in the middle which lowered the calories - always a plus! It tasted great and was very filling. Our bill worked out very reasonable at €25 each. Would definately return.

I often come here on a Thursday night and have generally had to wait for a table, it was only on this visit though that I discovered that there is a whole large area at the back of the restaurant - I have no idea if it's some times closed but if it is, they really need to open it more often. When you do get seated though, the restaurant is nice. There's a good atmosphere in the place and while the tables are quite close together, they aren't too close. The food in Milano's is generally what you'd expect from a mid market Italian restaurant. It's ok, not great. If you don't want pizza the menu is quite limited and I do find that the pizza isn't brilliant for what is ostensibly a specialist pizza restaurant. This is fine though, at least you know what you're getting when you go there. On this particular occasion I had the garlic bread to start, I'm a big fan and it did not disappoint. I also had the pollo pasta as the main. It was fine but nothing to write home about. My two biggest issues with this particular Milano's are thus - There rarely seems to be anyone on front of house duty. I've often seen people come in, wait for 5 or 10 mins then leave without ever seeing a member of staff, meanwhile you'll have seen 2-3 tables of people leaving. The second is that the bathrooms is always slightly less clean than you'd expect. I wouldn't call them dirty, just messy. Undoubtedly I will however be back for a quick and predictable meal soon.

From the minute I walked in, the staff took notice of a new client - pet hate is when you walk into a restaurant and absolutely nobody takes notice. So we're on for a good start, nice! I am Italian, so I naturally go for a bruschetta and pizza. So. Bruschetta: super-fast service, it took less than one minute to arrive. Great. Taste was really good, so I was a happy camper. Pizza: I ordered a vegetarian with no cheese. I was asked straight away if I have a food intolerance, which is a great sign that staff are properly trained, a given in many countries but I haven't come across it that much in Ireland, good to see a little revolution happening. The pizza looked the business, the toppings tasted absolutely delicious, unfortunately the base was so tough I could only manage to eat half of it. Not impressed: the dough is the easiest thing to do, they obviously put cornflower in it, which is not an ingredient of pizza dough. We got the bill, where I was charged over €5 for an espresso coffee? Surely a mistake... All in all I thought the staff were fab, the menu is decent enough even from a vegan perspective - waiters patiently write down your order minus cheese, minus cream, minus pesto etc, bless 'em - the pizza was a major let down, my friends were also lukewarm happy about their food but I'm not going to give a review on their behalf. Will I go back? If my friends suggest we meet there I will, but it won't be my first choice.

Hadn't been to Milanos in years as my last visit (not this Milanos) was not good. However I'm happy I went back because my pizza on this occasion was delicious (I had the polla ad astra) and the rosemary flatbread was also lovely. I was with a large group and there were no complaints, service was good, wine was good. Will definitely be back.

Ate here before heading out for some christmas drinks. The food was fantasic as always and it's brilliant value for money. There was a good christmas buzz about the place (which i found lacking in the pubs we later ventured to) and it really got us in the christmas spirit. Staff were wonderful even though run off their feet. Looking forward to eating there again in the next couple of weeks (any excuse for a Leggera Pizza)

We took advantage of a great deal Milanos was offering (Buy one pizza get another for 2 euro). The place was very busy but our food didn't take too long to arrive and it tasted really good. I got the Rustichella pizza with rocket, which was delicious, and banoffie pie fro dessert. Our server wasn't too attentive or friendly but the overall experience was great and we were very happy. I think that it is a bit pricey for what you get, but with the voucher it was great value. Would definitely return again if they have another offer like this!

Milano's is generally pretty good for food. The menu is varied and has good choices. It is not cheap but if they have a voucher offer on it can work out well. Being part of the Pizza Express chain in the UK the menu is always the same in all locations and doesn't change very often. Having said that the dishes are usually well cooked and the service is good.

Me and my girlfriend had a nice dinner over Milano's for the first time. I got a pizza and she got a salad. The pizza was a quattro formaggi which was quite good and her salad tasty as well. The only negative points of the night is that a bruschetta that I ordered was not well made at all. The waiter that took care of us was really good and give us our time and space.

Went for diner here with my girlfriend on Sunday and was very disappointed with all aspects of the restaurant. I was under the impression that Milano was typical Italian restaurant with a casual atmosphere, when we arrived, the place seemed more like a canteen than a restaurant. It was only half full but everyone seemed to by trying to talk over the group next to them. The service was equally as poor as we had to ask for menus and were completely neglected by the staff, having to flag them down for every order, none of which seemed to be in any rush to carry it out. The table was only wiped and not cleaned, we didnt end up using the cutlery for our pizzas as they were not clean and even the glass I was given for my beer wasn't properly cleaned. We both chose pizza's from their light range, the ones with the wholes in the middle and we were both equally disappointed, mine was bland and my girlfriends pizza was undercooked. Will never return to this restaurant as it was the worst dining experience I have had in a very long time

Last Friday I received the best customer service I have ever received anywhere in this restaurant!! Having been a customer of this chain for many years, a few weeks ago some friends and I were disappointed in pizzas we had in another branch. My friend contacted the company, and she was treated exceptionally well. And on Friday, in the Dawson St branch, we were blown away with how well we were treated. I don't want to go into details, but the staff really couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. And the pizzas were back to their usual high standard. Will definitely be back!!

arrived at lunchtime and felt a bit concious of the room full of suits and me with 2 kids in toe.when we were seated it seamed that every family in dublin suddenly appeared to have pizza. the reason obviously was the kids menu and the waiter that was great with the kids(he rearly passed without saying hi) for 9euro the kids meny has it all and the adult meny is not bad at all we had lots of starters and a pizza (reccomend the antipasti plate). so good place great service and have a kids room in the back but i dident enquire about partys think i will next time.

I have eaten in Milano a few times with my girlfriends. The service is good and the atmosphere is great. The pizza is generally fine but my experience yesterday was pretty bad. For a change I ordered the Romana pizza as I like a thin base. The result was a very dry base which I could hardly cut through. The toppings were minimal and dried out aswell. We ordered a bottle of red wine which was approximately €25, the waiter told us it was out of stock but they had an alternative (not listed on the menu). My friend said ok, ordered the wine and tasted it. To save on embarassment I didn't mention that it tasted like cheap PLONK! I have always felt the wine is over priced in Milano but this took the biscuit. I won't be returning to soon.

Safe bet if you want a quick pizza. Nothing special and at times can be quite bland. Starters of Bruschetta tastes fresh but is lacking in flavour. Pizza is usually reliable but nothing never too exciting. Good priced wine list but restaurant is generally over priced for what you get even if you avail of there special offers.

Booked a table for 4 girls last Friday to celebrate a birthday for 7.30pm. I have been to three different Milano restaurants (and always enjoyed the experience) but this was my first visit to Dawson St. When we arrived I couldnt believe that there was so many children in the place and how very very noisy the restaurant was. I had ordered a bottle of prosecco to be on the table for our arrival and was disappointed to see that our table was right beside a table of children. These children were not being supervised at all, were running around, climbing up and down the stairs and overall being a complete nuisance. We were also very surprised to see not one of the staff said anything to the parents regarding their uncontrolled children. We had our meal (can never fault Milano food, its lovely) and towards the end of the night we were laughing quite loud but to our amazement the Manageress was over to the table like lighting telling us to keep the noise down. We couldnt believe it after the earlier experience we had had with the children right beside our table and we never complained once or said a word. We did point out to Manageress that she had said nothing to the parents that were sitting beside us regarding their unruly children but she just replied she cant give out to children. I have never heard the like, I will NEVER frequent this restaurant again, we had spent a lot of money there with bottles of processo, wine, starters, mains, deserts and thats the way we were spoken to, it was a disgrace. So if you like to go to restaurants that are frequented with uncontrolled, unruly children this is the place for you.

Had this booked with a party for a late lunch. The bulk of us went for mains only, saving room for dessert. All 6 plates near me were such small portions, and both males and females commented on this. Pastas, the Lasagne and other pasta dish were so small, my partner actually asked our friend had he ordered a starter by accident, he hadnt!! Luckily the large Pizzas had been ordered. These look big but they are extremely thin based and not a lot of toppings, rather a few toppings scattered sporadically, rather disappointing and not very filling. I had choosen one of the salads, a reasonable amount of chicken by my avocado was almost out of date, the brown dots throughout it were obvious and any chef should have spotted that, the plate consisted of way too much padding of lettuce leaves and not enough substance for my taste. Service was slow, 45mins between ordering and meals arriving, not acceptable in my opinion - however my partner ordered before the table and asked for his to be delivered immediately as he was very hungry, and that did happen in a timely manner. It's my second visit to this Milanos and my last. Most disappointing.

No surprises here. You always get roughly the same. Pizzas are nice and the wine list is reasonably priced. I got the spicey pizza with jalapenos and it could have been a bit spicyer but other than that its a safe bet if you're in town looking for a bite to eat! They are very accomodating to children and cater for them too

I hadn't eaten here for years so I decided to give it a try. The service was very good and particular mention goes to the two ladies on duty that evening. They couldnt have been more pleasant and welcoming. For starters we both chose bruschetta myself having the standard one whilst my companion had one with guaccamole. For mains I had a spicy pizza and my companion had a lasagne. For desert I had a tirimisu and my companion had a chocolate fudge cake. The atmosphere was very good in this bright and airy establishment. We both really enjoyed our dining experience. Based on todays visit I will be returning.

Went here after visiting the National Concert Hall, so we were quite late gettng there. Restaurant was really busy. The service was really slow and it took several attempts to get some water to drink. We ordered a pizza and a Ceaser salad. It took quite a while to arrive. The pizza wasn't particularly hot, and the sun dried tomatoes were cold. Didn't bother to send it back as we felt it would take ages and it was hard to get the attention of the waiters. Overall very disappointed. Maybe we just got them on a bad night as I've been to other branches of Milano and enjoyed the experience.

Came here with a crowd of 10 on a Thursday afternoon. We had pre-booked our table, the place was empty, yet we were given 2 round tables, pushed together that were at significantly different heights. It was very unusual that we weren't given any on the benches or rectangular tables pushed together. We had a 2 for 1 voucher so we all ordered pizzas plus drinks. The pizzas were lovely, but nothing too exciting. I wouldn't visit unless I had a voucher, I don't think the pizzas are worth full price.

I came here with a friend last month. She had bruschetta and a caesar salad while I had the dough balls and the margerita leggera pizza. I liked my meal, however, I felt if I hadn't had the dough balls to start I still would've been hungry after the pizza. The middle of the pizza is cut out and replaced with salad. To be honest I thought it was a bit expensive for a bit of dough with fancy cheese on it and a small salad. Overall it was a nice meal and our server was pleasant so I'll give it another chance.

This Milano's is my favourite - always busy yet with great service and fresh food! We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table which wasn't the worst but it was worth it. I ordered one of the Leggara Pizzas with spicy chicken - lovely and good to know they offer healthier options. Had a small ice cream dessert that was similar to Cornetto with a coffee - really nice. Would def recommend!

Three of us went on a cold , wet and windy friday night, surprised to find the place nearly full. We were shown to the back part of the restaurent which also filled up quite quickly. Pizzas were good as were the pasta dish, starters of antipasta were just o.k as were the few glasses of wine we had. Coffee was quite tasteless. The part of the restaurent visible from the street has a nice ambiance , nice tables and a general buzz about it. The hidden part, where we were is a canteen like structure with no ambiance and really quite dull. So if I go again to that branch, I shall insist on booking out front.

There are at least five Milano Restaurants in the city centre and all are consistent. There is nothing inspiring about the cooking here, in fact it feels like the meals are partially prepared in a factory and then heated up in the restaurant. The menu is available online and there are no surprises, no innovation, nothing to recommend. On a positive note, the staff are always warm, courteous and friendly. Very efficient and attentive. If you are looking for a quick snack this place is acceptable.

Went here with 2 girl firends for a bite, had a lovely night. Service was great, food came quick and we were allowed to sit for a few hours chatting over our wine and food without being distrubed. We all got pizza..very realiable, I got the Padana pizza, was really good, girls got a margarita and La Reine, bottle of pinot grigio to wash it down..perfectly priced for what we got, so will definitely be back.

Booked a table here for a party of 5 for a Saturday night out. Milano Dawson St. have one of the nicest and most polite gentleman as their host, incredibly welcoming and a good start to the night. Its an often overlooked facet of a restaurant to have a good host as it really sets the night in motion. The atmosphere was great, very busy as usual but thankfully not so overbearing as to make conversations difficult. I ordered rustica tomatoes as an appetizer, garlic bread with mozarella as a starter and a polo ad astra Romana pizza for main course (chicken, garlic oil, red onions and extra pepperoni). Starters came out within a couple of minutes and were delicious, so much so that I regrettably inhaled it a bit too quickly to fully enjoy it! Empty plates were taken away very quickly after we finished our starters (which I appreciate a lot as there is nothing worse than sitting with dirty plates in front of you). Main courses arrived ten minutes after our starters, piping hot, looking very appetising and smelling great. The host came around soon after seeing if we needed garlic oil, black pepper or mozarella. The food tasted fantastic and all the flavours came together wonderfully. Simply writing this review makes me want to go back and have the same meal again. I will certainly be returning to Milano Dawson Street soon, it was a fantastic night and the food was wonderful

I ate here one evening with a group of 7 friends and it was nice and busy for a Tuesday night. Great atmosphere and I couldn’t fault the service. I went for a Classic pizza which was cooked to perfection. Really delicious. I would definitely come back here again, especially because of its central location.

I should start by saying that I love Milano's pizza, and was not disappointed with the food. However we were seated right beside a kitchenette and staff that didn't seem to be on duty just kept making themselves tea and coffee at the counter right beside us. It was really off putting, I felt like I was in a canteen. The staff are very friendly but the place was hugely understaffed and we were waiting ages just to place an order. I think it has gone downhill over the last year or so.

Great for a family lunch, expecially with young children, the service was really good. The pizza is excellent expecially since they have the thin crust romana base option, which is very typical in Italy but not so easy to find here in Dublin.

We used a voucher for a buy one get one free pizza, which the staff were more than happy to take. A good start as I'm always a little worried about bringing in vouchers. Myself and my friend both tried pizzas from the newish menu created by Francesco Mazzei and I must admit I was pleasantly surprised. Living in Dublin we're mainly exposed to New york style pizza so it was a welcome change to be eating a Neapolitan style pizza (Romana Pizza on the Milano menu). The base was crisp and nicely charred in places and had a nice wood flavour (may have been coal as I'm not sure what type of oven they use). They don't overdo the toppings either so you can taste every element of the pizza, I had garlic oil, olives and gran padano and my friend ate the Pollo Pancetta I think. Neither of us had any complaints and would go so far as to say its the best pizza I've had in Dublin for quite some time and reasonable too even if you dont have a voucher.

We went to Milano on a Wednesday evening with no booking. They were quite busy but still managed to fit 2 of us in! The pizza is always amazing there. I had the Pollo ad astra that consisted of chicken, sweet peppers, garlic, onions and cajun spices, simply mouth watering!Service was quite good considering how busy it was that night. My partner went for a simple Margarita which was also quite tasty. Overall we had a lovely evening with some Italian beer to wash the pizza down.

I love Milano's! Not just Dawson Street! Any of them! Food is delicious! Staff are friendly & accomodating. On this occasion I was out with my sister and our partners. My partner asked for tabasco sauce and when he took the lid off, he didn't realise it didn't have the top that just lets a few drops out so basically his pizza was covered in the tabasco sauce!! Much as he likes it, he coldn't eat that much of it!! Our waitress saw what happened and came straight over and offered to replace the pizza! We were so impressed as really it wasn't her fault but she had a fresh pizza cooked for him. We were so impressed! I love their food and would totally reccommend Milano's!

Nice informal dinner here last night. Four of us headed up straight after work. Got sat down straight away - ordered a nice bottle of red. I had the dough balls, as ever they were delish & left me wanting more! Followed by a pizza, with ham, sweetcorn and mushroom. Lovely thin crisp base, loads of gooey, and deliciously melted cheese, thinly sliced mushrooms (a must!) and thin slices of ham, again a must! We had a great night - ordered a second bottle of wine & relaxed over our meal. For the middle of the week it was busy, both with tourists and your after work crowd - which created a nice vibe. The service was very good & quick. Lovely meal & we'll all be back!

Had dinner here with three friends. Had to wait about twenty mins for a table which was no problem as we sat at the high table by the window and ordered wine and olives. We did not order starters and all ordered pizzas. Clean plates all round - I ordered the chefs special spiciest pizza and yes it was SPICY and delicious. Great value and perfect for girls get together.

I went there with a friend for lunch recently. I'm not normally a fan of Milanos as I think 12 to 14 euros for a pizza is a rip off. However, we happened to have 2 dine for the price of 1 voucher. We arrived at 12.45 and it was already nearly full. The staff were efficient if not very friendly. We were seated under an airconditioning unit and it was very cold. When we asked to be moved there were no alternative tables and we would have to wait if we wanted to move. The food was lovely but I would only go back if I had another two for one voucher as there was nothing to wow us.

go here quite regularly with my husband and two children, we all love it. Each of us always has the dough balls cause they are ssooo tasty. The pizzas are always delicious and the deserts sinfully good. They do an excellent small desert with coffee option that is plenty after a feed of pizza and reasonably priced. The kids love the free bambinocinnos! The service can be varied, we have had both great and awful here but keep on returning. Try not to sit in the front section cause its quite noisy and always check milano own website before you go for free pizza offers!!

Went here on Saturday last, I had a voucher which entitled you to a free main course if you ordered one other, very good value, we had a pizza each and a glass of wine, the bill came to 35 euros very good value, I have been to Milanos many times, Dawson Street is my favourite though we had a great waiter he told me how to log onto their website to get more offers etc, will be definitely doing that and definitely going back, I would recommend this restaurant but especially for value

I had a 2 for 1 voucher for Milanos and used it on a Saturday night. The pizzas are great and there was no issues with the voucher like in some places. Only thing was the service was pretty slow. I will be back though all in all it's good value for what you get

After a long break returned to Milano's for dinner with two friends last week, and wondered why I had left it so long!! You just cant go wrong here, it was very busy but we got a table just before queues started in the lobby area for tables and this was only 1830 so it shows how popular it is! We had a voucher from Evening Herald for 1 free main course as maybe many others had. Food was delicious, we had 2 of the Legerra Pizzas, with a hole in the middle where they place salad all for under 500 cals. Also they serve lovely Peroni Italian beer which is quite hard to get in Dublin. They thing that made our evening was our comical Cork waiter, he was very busy but had time to stop at every table during his service for a bit on interaction and a laugh and he made our evening in Milano's!

Came here with a group for dinner. You can never go wrong with the food from Milano's. As per usual the food was lovely. I had a caesar salad to start, it was a bit salty for my liking but it probably would have been lovely if I'd added chicken to it. I had an old favourite the Siciliana which is no longer on their menu, but they made it for me all the same. The waiter was only so so, it was pretty obvious towards the end of our meal that he was in a hurry for us to leave, which was disappointing given we were paying a pretty sizeable service charge. All in all I would recommend Milano's for casual dining, but I've had much better dining experiences in their dundrum restaurant. A nice meal was off set by the 2 for 1 coupons we were emailed... You can't get better value than that!

I went here with a friend for an evening meal, we wanted to sit outside and it seemed as if were were a little forgotten about, it took the waiter a good 10-15 minutes to come out and take our order after he gave us menu's. But once the food arrived it was very good. I had the lasagna and it tasted really good. And it was nice to sit outside too and people watch even though our service was slower! But I would still definitely go back.

It was my first time in Milano, i did hear a lot about it and finally decided to give it a go. The restaurant is nice but not authentic enough, the design of the place is just not to my taste. The menu is nice and original, i tried one of those light pizza as my friend recommended it, and it was delicious. The staff is nice and efficient, professional but could be a bit more friendly. I will come back for the food as I like their originality and I am quite interested in what they have to offer.

I go here because my friends like it but I'm not a fan. If you're going to eat out why bother going to a generic chain restaurant? I had the Chicken caesar salad (which didn't have as much chicken as I would have like given that it was a main) but it wasn't bad, the others had pizzas which they were happy with. We got two chocolate sunday deserts to share between five and they still weren't finished which isn't a good sign. The staff are very nice and accommodating especially for large groups. The food is inoffensive and boring.

We came here for a quick bite to eat on a Thursday at 6pm. There were only a couple of tables occupied when we arrived but the place was heaving by the time we left. To start we ordered the tomato and mozzarella salad and the bruschetta con funghi. The tomato salad was delicious. Ripe, room temp. tomatoes and a nice milky mozzarella. The bruschetta wasn't as successful, nicely presented but bland. For mains I had the Gustosa from the Leggera range which comes with the centre removed and replaced with salad and himself had the Diavolo with extra ham. My pizza was delicious and I also felt like I was choosing the healthy option. The Diavolo however was a let down. My partner loves spicy food but this pizza did not live up to it's name, no kick out of it at all. To my mind there's no point in calling a pizza Diavolo unless it's going to do what it says on the box and so he was disappointed for the second time in this meal. 2 Peroni beers brought the bill to €56.

After a walk in Stephen Green I decided to stop here for a late lunch on Sunday. When entering the restaurant I noticed lots of buggies at the entrance. There was a real family vibe to the place. My friend and I got a table straight away. This was my second time here and i knew exactly what i wanted. I went for the Tagliolini Funghi and it was as good as the first time. Even if the pasta was served with a white sauce it wasn't that heavy. I usually avoid to order pasta with a white sauce but i really enjoyed this dish at Milano. This time the service wasn't great and we waited for ever for the bill as the waiter seemed more busy waiting on other table. Apart from that the food was great.

Wwent with a friend from work as we had the 2 for 15 euro voucher. We got a table no problem, however we were waiting a while to order, then on drinks, then on out food, then on the bill. Food was nice, great value, but we were really rushed as service was slow, nice for a leisurely lunch if you have time, not when you have to get back to the office!

Like many other reviewers, I had the 15euro 2-course voucher, which had a great sellection of mains to choose from. We arrived on a rainy thursday evening, to be told we would have to wait 45 minutes for a table, so we ordered some wine (2 'large' glasses, which turned out to cost a pretty shocking 8.50 each!!). Once we were seated and had ordered, we received our food promptly. I had the garlic bread to start, and the leggere chicken pizza, both of which were very tasty. Aside from the over-priced wine, I found Milanos to be good value, and in very pleasant surroundings.

As 5 of us walked out towards Dawson Street for a bite to eat, we were unsure of what we wanted... and decided to go for pizzas. After all, its one of the easiest things to share and enjoy together. Between the 5 of us, we ordered 4 huge pizzas- the American, The Padana, The Guisseppe and the Gialdarno (spelling? its the last one on the pizza menu). We got the evegetarian ones on the Romana base so they were very thin, crispy and flavoursome. Service was all right- they were fairly busy (especially for a Monday- we had to wait 15 mins for a table!!) and so we didn't have their attention as quickly as we would have hoped but it was not an excuse to be deterred. With a few glasses of wine, a few pizzas in our bellies, we were happy campers. With vouchers making the pizzas affordable, this was an excellent choice. However, if I had to pay full price, I would certainly think twice!

The place was full and very loud. The tables are very close to each others, which is a bit annoying... I tasted the Calabrese pizza and the pasta dish with mushroom and Truffles. Ok it was very good. Yet I was happy I had the 2 for 15€ voucher which was a good deal. I will probably go back. The service was ok, nothing special yet, they were too busy.

Visited with a group of 6 on friday night. Arrived around 8.30 and told to come back at 9.30, so we headed for a drink next door. When we headed back unfriendly hostess told us to take a seat in the extremely packed foyer. 30 mins later (10pm!!!) we were finally seated. Food is consistent here, and I love it! We got the antipasti to share amongst 5 of us - ample enough for us all to nibble at and very tasty! We all ordered pizza - mine my usual Padana. Best goats cheese pizza in town! My companions also enjoyed their foods and the inconvenince of the previous hours were forgotten. Surprisingly, unapologetic hostess from earlier arrived at our table with three 2for1 mains vouchers for us which we were actually allowed to use for our meal. All very happy and will certainly return.

Went to Milanos on a Wed evening after work with a friend who had a buy one main meal get one free voucher. I arrived at the restaurant at 10 to 6pm and there was a queue out the door and the restaurant was packed. I could not believe how busy it was. Everyone else was using their vouchers on the same night. We waited for about 20 min for a table. We didn't opt for starters. I ordered the Calabrese pizza from the Francesco Mazzei menu. The pizza was HUGE and delicious. The topping included spicy sausage and peppers and boy was it spicy! I usually find dishes are never hot enough but this definately lived up to its name and with each bite, my mouth was getting hotter and hotter. My friend had the cannelloni which I had a taste of and was also delicious. We each got a dessert, the lemon tart and banoffee pie. Both portions were very decent sized. All up the bill came to about 40 altogether including a glass of wine each. Service was average. Very good value and will be back again even without a voucher.

I found a great offer online for any two courses for €15 as Milano's are promoting a new celebrity chef menu. Myself and a friend both tried out one of the new starters - Tricolore - a little dough base with spicy guacamole, fior di latte mozarella and sundried tomatoes. This was unbelievably good. My friend had the contadina legerra pizza and I went for a new spicy Calabrese pizza and we were really happy with our choices. One of the things I like most about Milanos is the mini desserts, and they really finished the meal off nicely. The waiters were so friendly and it was great value with the special offer.

We went to Milano's one lunchtime. It was quiet packed with a mix of students and professionals on their lunch break. We were tempted by the smell and views of the fresh pizza's and pasta's being prepared behind us but we resisted and had a salad. It was very healthy especially with how the dressing is placed on the side. The food was very tasty and even the avacodo was yum! Quiet good value to. Their could be more space between some of the tables and chairs but overall a very enjoyable meal.

Talk about family friendly! We went here with the inlaws & three kids for Sunday brunch. We stayed for at least three hours with no hassle, and the staff were brilliant! (Especially the girl looking after the kids in the specially designated play area). The food took its time coming out but was delicious when it got there- no complaints from any of the ten present. Good quality pizza and pasta for all the family- worth a visit.

Ate hear last night 29th, we had to wait for about 20 minutes on a table but understood as the restuarant was very busy. We were here for the two for one offer and business was certainly good for the restaurant. We were seated within the twenty minutes. Tables are quite small but clean. Our waiter took our order and read it back to us which I liked. Our main courses were served piping hot and a generous enough portion. The wine list was quite small but there was enough to choose from. Overall excellent service, staff were very busy and the atmosphere was good.

I visited here last night with a friend for the two for one offer on the main course. We were told we would have a wait of about thirty minutes as the restaurant was very full which gave it a great atmosphere. We were seated at the back of the restaurant on high stools where we were told to wait before being called. Not the most comfortable area to wait in but we ordered a drink and were called to our table within twenty minutes. The table was clean, our order was taken immediately by a friendly member of staff. Starter, garlic bread a very small portion considering price of €4.95 for it, not good value. The main courses were fine in size and taste and were delivered without delay. Two coffees plus starter, main and a bottle of Australian wine, total bill €48. Very good value overall, just increase the size of the starters.

Maybe it was just Christmas holidays but we waited a long time before anyone would seat us, there was too little staff and the restaurant was freezing! I much prefer other locations and have never had a disappointing meal at any location. Great food, good value and always finding it difficult to pick a pizza!

I was quite disappointed in this restaurant. The only thing I couldn't fault was the service. Went on a Sat for lunch and as it was the Sat before Christmas, we were very surprised to see it was practically empty at 12.30. I had bruscetta to start and it wasn't good. The bread they used was like a pitta bread which I have never seen used before for a bruscetta and wasn't very nice. I then had a chicken caesar salad, but had to really search for some chicken. Goats cheese and croutons seem to have been used to camouflage the definite lack of chicken. All in all, quite poor value for money.

Called into Milanos with my 2 children a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. They have a kids deal that comprises of doughballs, small salad, pizza, icecream and a baby chino. I thought it was great value and the food was very tasty. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was buzzing. Is defintely in my top 3 places to go with the family.

I was there last tuesday with more 3 friends to enjoy some pizza. We asked for 3 diferent flavours to share which was enough. Very nice and was cooked perfectly. they have a good selection of wine and the service was perfect. I recomend this restaurant for some good snacks in the end of the day with some friends for a nice chat and relax. We will be back.

The pizza in Milano is excellent as is the garlic bread. I loved the wine selection. I always lean towards the pinot grigio blush. well selected wine.Quite pricy though. Food is priced reasonably but not the greatest. I far prefer being right inside the restaurant I find the tables near the door have no atmosphere and you can somethines get forgotten about. Generally though, good food, good staff, good restaurant.

I went there for Sunday lunch. If i had known it's a kids place on Sunday i would not have gone. Great for families with kids but not for the rest. We weren't impressed with our starters as they were nothing special: rocket with cheese and few drops of oil, i can do better salad at home. My other half was relatively happy with his salad as a main dish but my main was really disappointing. I ordered Pollo Pesto and it was extremely greasy - the food was just hidden under layers of oil. The staff were friendly and quick. As i said before, the place may be good for families but i won't be coming back.

This was my most recent visit to Milanos having been several times over the last few months due to their two for one vouchers. With the vouchers it's a great value spot and the pizzas never fail to impress, always very tasty. On this occasion especially the service was very good with quick service during a busy lunchtime. I'll be going back to try their Christmas lunch menu which again looks like great value. Keep the offers coming Milano!

7 of us had lunch here. We couldn't fault any of our meals but we felt that the portions weren't great. I had a salad that included chicken and I got about 3 pieces of chicken among all the leaves. We will go back, but they need to improve on their portion sizes. Waiting staff were very pleasant.

went here for pizza during lunch, we had the 2 for €12 voucher. The pizzas are v nice, the four seasons is great when you want a few different tastes/slices in one. It was extremely busy though and we spent most of our break sitting waiting for our order and had very little time to sit and enjoy the food. Not good if you are on lunch or on a tight schedule. Waiting staff nice even if they're run of their feet. Although service was slow maybe due to understaffing, the food is very tasty, pasta dishes yum.

I hadn't been in Milano in a long time, but I knew it to be a safe call. Three of us went in last night, it was busy with the celebrations in town, but we managed to get a table within 20 minutes. we were offered a drink while we were waiting, which I thought was a nice touch, I found the low-alcohol beer to be very sweet and sickening though. We were sat within the quoted time. Our server was very charming and friendly and despite being busy, he was very attentive. Our starters arrived promptly. The girls had the Garlic Bread with cheese, an all-time favorite, which was crispy and very falvoursome. I had the Ceasar salad (without the dressing) and the lettuce was very fresh and crispy, making it a lovely light starter. shortly after we were finished with them, the main courses arrived. There had been some confusion with one of the girls pizza, she had ordered the pollo pizza but was served the pollo pasta. We mentioned it to the waiter and he rectified the mistake, but she had to wait while we started eating. My Favorita pizza was delicious with fresh mozzarella and juicy santos tomatoes, even though maybe a bit dear at nearly €15. We also had some ice cream for dessert, we found the chocolate cake pieces in the chocolate glory not to be the best. The Nougat dessert was lovely and light. Overall, the athmosphere was great though very noisy, there was no or little music, but it was very busy and buzzing with activity. The waiting staff was very friendly and attentive, and we had a great dinner!

Milanos is always a safe bet when it comes to Italian food, especially the pizza. As a vegetarian I have a wide variety of dishes to choose from, and went for the aubergine bake, and it was delicious! The portions are very generous and the service very good. I would definitely go there again!

I just love visiting this place with the girls. We just love meeting up for a good natter over a couple of portions of doughballs and then on to the pizzas. Yes, it is very busy and can be quite loud, but that's to be expected as it's always so busy!! Never ever disapoints..cheap, cheerful and always tasty.

This was my first time at this Milanos. We were greeted very warmly at lunchtime. I suppose I should have expected it, but the restaurant was very loud. It wasn't the children there making the noie whom were very well behaved but the acoustics seemed to amplify the other patrons' conversations. The Service was very friendly but unfortunately it took over 30 mins to get two identical pizzas. Saying that, the food was very good and high quality. Will go again but not at lunchtime.

I normally go to Milano in IFSC but that time i ended up on Dawson Street and that that was far fron any disapointment. I had lasagna and olives for starter.Altogether for 15 euro! Not too heavy like in any other pizzerias when u take any kind of pasta. There was just a tiny amount of cheese there and good few chunks of meat - deliciuos. If you have a choice i would say go to Milano on Dawson street rather than IFSC. My only concern was stuff - quite slow as for busy lunchtime:(

There is always a good atmosphere in this branch of Milano's.There is not much one can say about a pizza so I am basing this review on atmosphere and service which i always find to be very friendly and professional.

i went here in a group and i didnt know what to expect. i had heard mixed review for this place. my overall feeling after being there are, a bit pricey for what you get. the staff were wonderful, our group was originally 10, but some people couldnt make it, but the staff decided to hold the table for us until we ordered in case any members came late. this was very nice. the food was grand. it tasted quite nice but was a bit expensive for what we got. the deserts were not available to us because the freezer had broken so no icecream or sorbet for us that night. the fozen yoghurt was the best part of the meal. i will not be rushing back here.

Not having been to Milanos in a few years I went with my husband who hadn't been. It was extremely quiet for a Sunday afternoon. We opted for the antipasta plate between three of us, the plate was light on meat, 2 slices of salami and parma. The bread to accompany it was lovely. Pizza were good but not so heavy on toppings, which is disappointing given that you pay approx 13/14e. 3.30 for soft drinks is just a rip off.... It may be a while before I go back again...

I regularly come to this restaurant as I think it serves up the best pizza in town. There is a huge selection to choose from and the menu is updated regularly. The pizza is the perfect size and great value. The wine and dessert list is also very good and has a variety to choose from.

8pm on a Saturday evening and the place is jam packed with kids, this aside, the food is simple, fresh and well prepared, salads all come with delicious bread and the pizzas are thin and crispy. Ice creams for desert are lovley, coffee is good and comes in large cups, staff are friendly, Overall, Milanos is casual dinning at its finest and a great place to start a night out or if your 6year old fancys salad Nicose followed by a babichino, this is the place to be. Soft drinks are way over priced though.

Milano's 2 for1 offer was a great incentive to revisit the pizzaria. The food is consistantly good as is the service and their latest speciality pizza's with salad are truly innovative. A must try!

This is my favourite of the Milano chains, it just seems a little classier than the others. I dined here with a friend and I love their pizzas. However, I do feel it is quite on the expensive side for what it is. If you decide on a romano base for your pizza, it costs extra as well, bringing the price of my pizza up to over 15 euro. The wine is also very expensive. Nice eatery with good staff but way overpriced in these hard times.

Been here a good few times with the girls and with the family. Really is good value for money and the pizzas are delicious. My favourites are La Rena, The American Hot and the one with spinach, goats cheese and red onions. Had lovely starter as well of cannellini beans and italian sausage which was so delicious. The kiddies menu is great value too and they love it especially as they get colours and the little bambucino and ice-cream at the end. Would highly recommend for good value pizza and somewhere good for kids!

My mam and I went here after the mini-marathon. WIth is being so close to the finishing line, I didnt think we would get seated anytime soon but was pleasantly surprised only having to wait about 10 mins in the seating reception area. We shared the bruschetta which was really nice and served on 2 seperate plates to us. I then had the american hot pizza while my mam had the lasagne - both were delicious. We shared the banoffi for dessert which was nice. I had an americano and my mam had a cappucino to finish. We also had a bottle of the peter lehan shiraz which was very nice. Bill came to about €70 which we were happy enough with. THe service was brilliant and could not fault it! Overall a very enjoyable experience and will be back !

Loved the Etna pizza, but don't go for the low calorie options (the one we had was a bit tasteless). Good and quick service and nice atmosphere. I was nice with the open kitchen where you can watch the chefs at work.

Food was great. Garlic bread here is one of my favourites in Dublin American pizza was yummy. My partners Cajun type pizza (I didn't get the name) was yummy too. The Lemon Tart and Tiramisu were great. The portion of my Tiramisu was good... loads in fact. The service for ordering, receiving starters and receiving mains was on the ball. However we had to wait and get the attention of wait staff to order dessert and to order the bill. It wasn't busy. Otherwise a very good experience.

We have eaten here a number of times since discovering it. Each time we had the kids with us so family table! Excellent service, great attention given to the kids (not in the back) but in the main area to the front of the restaurant. Food excellent - nothing too much bother. The wine selection is not bad but that wouldn't put me off. Lovely atmosphere and never rushed out after eating. Thumbs up here as there sister restaurant in IFCS is not a patch on Dawson Street :-)

We had two for one vouchers so six of us went for dinner last Friday. The vouchers were for any main course which was great. We each got pizzas which were all delicious but not overly filling. We then shared some desserts, none of which were anything too special. The wine in there seems outrageously expensive for such an inexpensive restaurant. Otherwise great service, relaxed setting and good pizzas!

Stopped here just for a coffee and a dessert with a friend. Waited ages to be given a menu. Twice a waiter came over with food that was meant for another table and then when our desserts came out they were brought to the wrong table first. We had ordered coffees to go with them but they didn't arrive until after we had finished. I must say tho the cheesecake and the banoffi pie made up for everything. After eating something so wonderful its easy to forget the bad service. Will probably be back just for that!

Value was excellent but we did have the 2 for 1 vouchers that another reviewer mentioned. Had the spinach and ricotta canelloni, which is a firm favourite of mine and it was quite good. Unfortunately we were a big group so were shoved right down the very back of the restaurant, bit disappointing as very little atmosphere. Service was mediocre, nothing special but nothing negative to say about it either.

Went for a Friday lunch. They are doing a lunchtime special offer which is great value for money - main course (pizza, salad or pasta) and a drink (beer/wine/soft) for €12.50. The restaurant was lively for the time of day. The service was ok, maybe a little on the slow side. I had a salad - not for the faint hearted...it was the heaviest salad I have ever had so doubt it was very healthy - tasty all the same.

The food is usually pretty good in Milano but the service consistantly lets it down and the staff can actually be quite rude at times. I understand that the restaurant is busy but sometimes it's hard to accept that as an excuse. Having said that it's got a decent atmosphere and the food is good value.

Ate here with a couple of friends to avail of the 2 for 1 mains. Understandably the restaurant was busy and we waited 45 mins for a table. The food was decent but thought they had a very limited choice of pastas, there was no atmosphere as I find this is usually the case here. The staff said they were glad to see the back of the promotion (we were there on the last night of it) as they had been very busy. I thought they would have been happy to have a full restaurant these days? Guess I was wrong.

Cant go wrong with Milano's. Good value Pizzas. Pasta menu is very limited, but wide pizza selection and salad options also. Was here on Tuesday night and it was full by 6.30. Food is good value but the wine is a bit pricey in comparison with the cheapest bottle at €25.

Went here with two friends and overall it was a pleasant enough visit to recommend to others. It was a Monday night yet every table was full by 7.30pm so that was encouraging. The food overall was good, my only criticism is you could tell it was not lovingly prepared like an authentic italian...it felt a little 'mass produced'. Not expensive but I suppose pricey enough considering the food is just a good copy of the real thing. Staff were efficient and friendly.

I went to Milanos on Dawson Street on a Sunday night just before Christmas. It was busy but had a great atmosphere. We ordered a bottle of Sparkling Rose which was lovely and not too expensive. We shared a starter as we always do, it was Risotto which was lovely but a bit too small for sharing. For mains we had pizza and pasta, both were really nice, the pasta with pesto was creamy and really tasty and the pizza was covered in jalapenos and chilli, hot but very good. Overall, a really good night and I have been dying to go back ever since.

We ordered 2 pizzas, a bottle of wine and coffees. The pizzas and coffee were pretty good and came quickly, despite the place being quite busy. The wine was very expensive for a pizzeria at a minimum of €20 for the house wine. The pizzas were also a bit overpriced. Service was good apart from one rather frosty member of staff. Overall a positive experience.

This used to be one of my favourire restaurants and was cheap and cheerful and always guaranteed a good meal... However was here a week ago and asked for a Margarita pizza with extra cheese. That didnt happen. The pizza was very light on the cheese so just felt like I was eating a tomato base. The dough balls were as good as always but I wouldnt be rushing back here any time soon.

Milano's has always been a favourite for a 'cheap and cheerful' option which is always tasty. I especially love the baked dough balls and their salad dressing is to die for. I have never gotten a bad pizza and find that they have an extensive pizza menu to choose from with top ingredients. There is always a buzzing atmosphere which is good to go to with friends or after shopping but it's not somewhere I would go for a romantic meal.

ive just move from England and Pizza Express is the English equivilant to Milano. I love the food in here, especially the salad, if ever i was looking for a hearty Italian salad it would definatly be here. Ive always liked its clean cut decor, makes for a great lunch or evening dinner.

Had lunch here with some friends. Pizzas were ok except that the tomato sauce was quite sweet. I hadn't realised to ask for thin base - so I got a small pizza with thick base that left me a bit hungry. Tip to Milanos, could you ask the customer which base they want, when taking the order? One of us had Lasagne and verdict was not enough meat, very gooey and quite small. Another friend had the Etna pizza and was delighted with it. In the end, 3 out of 4 of us were still hungry when we left. For 13.50 per portion you shouldn't leave hungry! Special points for extra friendly, fast and and flexible service.

First time here, very nice place with good atmosphere. Pizza was lovely I got the amerciano hot on romana base, very tasty. The only bad thing I found was the wine was very expensive for a glass.

I have been in Milano couple of times and on both occasions this place left me with a lot more to desire. Average service and average food. Its ok for something very casual but nothing else really. I doubt if I will be visiting it again.

Went for lunch here today and had one of their pizzas. It was really tasty and the base was really nice. My two friends enjoyed their salads and they looked delicious. I did think the menu was a bit limited. DONT go here if you dont like pizza, there is not a lot else if you dont like salad. It was a nice spot and a relaxed atmosphere, but there are places that offer better value for money

I love this Milano, its so central and the food and service is always good, my favourite is the American hot pizza. Everyone has a favourite Milano pizza, the choice is brilliant. Good selection of wines too which is always good!

Ate here last night, It was really busy we had to wait to be seated but I have to say I love this place and I will go back and would recommend it to any friends or family. For three of us, we had two starters between us a main course each and a bottle of wine, the food was absolutely gorgeous and was exceptional value, our bill came to €77. The staff were very friendly and did all they could to accommodate us.

ate here for the first time last Sunday. its one of the nicest restaurants for casual dining. we found the atmosphere very friendly and inviting. it was busy enough but not too cramped. the garlic bread was a very small portion but the pasta dish and the mushroom salad were good value for money. they also have a great menu for children. nice to watch the chefs making the pizza's too. nice wine menu however 8.75 for a large glass which wasn't that large is a bit overpriced.. overall it was good value for money and well worth a return visit

This I feel is the best location and food of the Milanos chain. They vary slightly I feel, and so does the cooking. Its always the same standard here and better than the other branches. We go most Sundays for lunch and never have a problem getting tables. Its very family friendly and most people bring their kids on a Sunday. Evenings can be tough to get a table at the weekends but often you can order a bottle while you wait and that I liked. Pizza is always good standard and the staff has always been friendly and accommodating won our Sunday lunch visits. I would reccommend over the other branches. Also booking can be made for larger groups and there is a seating area inthe back.

I eat in this restaurant quite a bit as i work nearby and absolutely love their pizzas. They have a lovely thin base with a wide variety of toppings available. Their salads are quite nice too. Service is very good and prices are quite affordable as restaurants go these days. They also have fabulous desserts, my favourite being the cheesecake and the chocolate fudge cake (warm)- delicious!!

loved Milano's I was there for a date and I found that the Atmosphere was completely right for that situation, as in we could here each other talk. The service was amazing very attentive and left you just the right amount of time between each course, I had garlic doe balls to start and the lasagne for main washed down with a very tastful house red and finhed off with Banoffi pie and an extreamly nice coffee. My date had the same starter and a spicy Chicken style pizza all very delightful. Also as the credit crunch is apon us i found it extreamly good value for money and doesnt skimp onm portions. All in all a worth while visit !!!

Had lunch here, and we arrived a little after twelve, and I was immediately put off by the fact that the place was empty and I felt the waiting staff could hear every word I said. We both had pizza and garlic bread, which was nice, nicer than most places but I've had better. Staff were efficient, pleasant, and attentive. It was interesting to see the pizza's being made. I'd go back but I wouldn't rave about it.

Dined here for the first time & though didnt have a booking, were seated immediately.Though the menu seems limited especially the pasta choices but the food is too good...However everything on our table went wrong from the very beginning as far as service go - the glass was dirty, our veg main course was served with meat, the bill was incorrect & so on!! I might go back though cos we simply loved the food but hope the 2nd time would be with better service.

I had lunch here today and I have to say the atmosphere is very nice-I had eaten before at the Milanos on the end of Baggot Street, (on the canal) which was very nice but the atmosphere in Dawson Street is particularly nice. It was overly busy which was nice too. The pizza was fairly good-I just had the four cheese the only think I would say is I am not too crazy about a thinish base I prefer a thicker base (and am struggling to find this in Dublin!) but as I said it was fairly good, fairly cheap (Soft drink and pizza was about 15 Euros). I would go again if in the mood for pizza and am in town...

Went to Milano on Dawson Street for a family meal. Garlic bread to start was nice but far too salty. Pollo Pesto for main was nice for the first few mouthfuls and then got very sicky - it was over-powered by onions and that is coming from a fan of onions. This dish was something you could easily do a better job cooking at home. Four of us ordered the Chocolate Glory for dessert. On the menu this was listed as icecream with pieces of chocolate fudge cake and chocolate sauce. They all arrived without any cake pieces. I drew the waiters attention to it and he insisted it was as it was supposed to be. On my insistence he went off and came back with the cake bits. The dessert was now lovely but the fight to get it was ridiculous! Service was bad. Mixups with orders, impossible to get attention of staff member for drinks etc. Staff rudely started spraying counters right behind us to clean up while we were still eating - brushing off our chairs as they cleaned and filling the air with cleaning spray right on top of us. Bad experience. Nice atmosphere, food very average, service terrible. Won't be going back.

Went there with a group of friends. First of all we were not able to book a table in advance, we were told that they only do bookings for a group of 7 or more. So we actually had to wait for a table about 40 minutes. The food was very dissapointing. Chicken pesto wasn't great - they do not even use fresh pesto as I would expect. Pizza's werent great either: hard and dry! Desserts not bad, but had never seen a fresh cream poured over a piece of cake so the actual cake was floating in the cream ( not whipped cream). Would not go back there.

Myself and a few friends were in your Dawson Street restaurant. Recently and even though I thought the food just okay I have to admit the choice of wine your wonderful waiter suggested was just delicious. In fact the whole meal was made enjoyable by this particular waiter as he had a very helpful approach even though he was under pressure from other customers. I would really like to take this opportunity of thanking him for making our Sunday brunch so wonderful. I think his name was Johnny a young guy from Sligo.

This place offers good pizzas at a reasonable price! I especially love their thin ones: very crusty. The service is good, and the atmosphere is nice for a group of people celebrating an event or a birthday. Their desserts and salads are also worth trying. Overall a good Italian restaurant!

This Milano is, in my opinion, no different from the other one. The food is again good; you get a good portion of pizza at a reasonable price. Perhaps considerably cheaper than other Italian restaurants. The service is always good. Overall a good choice if you're in for some pizzas! Oh and their salads are good too.

Usually I go to Milano for a lunch between college and work. Service is good, staff are quite friendly, they always offer you a cup of coffee after your meal. I like pizza there. It looks good, it's not too big not too small, ideal for 1 person! This restaurant is fine for a quick lunch, but I would not go there for a romantic date.

It's a pizza chain. For what it is, it's good. I might go 1-2 times a year. Recently I went with colleagues for lunch and I have to say I was pretty impressed. We got a few starters (dough balls, roasted tomatoes and garlic bread), and then shared a pizza between two. Perfect lunch portions that way. The pizza we ordered had artichokes (plus other veggies) and I was surprised at how much I liked it! Nice atmosphere, not too crowded. Very enjoyable...I just don't go for pizza that often!

Never ever had a bad meal here. I love the Pollo Ad Astra Pizza and the Bruscetta. Always a great buzz in the place too. Even though there is not a lot to it and it is a franchise, it never fails to satisfy and impress me. Also tried their pizzas to take away and they are a lot nicer and a lot cheaper then some phone up pizza delivery services.

Came here on a Bank Holiday Monday. I had a Pasta Dish with Chicken and Pesto. It was lovely I was with a group ot 8. Others had Lasagne looked a bit miserable but said it was nice. The Pizza looked lovely. They don't take bookins we were told dont know if this applies on certain Days or on different size Party Groups. The Staff were not over Friendly but for a Monday Night it was very busy. I would give this Place another try.

was there for lunch today with a friend. ordered a pasta dish. not very nice, some bits were luke warm and other bits were hot, i honestly think this dish was stuck in a microwave... it was terrible. The garlic bread on the side was nice. some dishes were completely over priced. the rate should be 3 star not two star on menu pages. the staff were ok. Very hard to have a conversation as it was very noisy. Stay away from this place. june, dublin.

I have dined in Milano on numerous occasions in the past in both the Dawson St and Temple Bar restaurant. I always find the service and quality of food to be absolutely fine. You get exactly what you pay for. We last ate in the Dawson St restaurant on Monday and my companion had the bruschetta and Padana pizza. Both were declared to be just right. I had the garlic bread with mozzarella which was just the right size and didn't make me too full before my pizza the La Reine - as one previous reviewer pointed out the toppings are a bit sparse, I would have preferred more black olives, but otherwise the pizza was good, the base was thin and crispy and it was just the right size. My friend had the toffee fudge dessert which was declared just right. All in all with 2 beers each the bill was approx €60. The atmosphere was good, the staff were pleasant and we had a nice leisurely relaxing time.

Yet again another mediocre city centre restaurant. Pizza was soggy and oozing gloppy liquid that was not a sauce. Antipasto plate was unimaginative and bland, it reminded me of the meat my mam used for my school lunch sandwiches!! Not a chutney or pickle in sight! When will an Italian restaurant in Dublin serve really rustic authentic Italian food!!!! Wont rush back!

Ate here last Saturday as part of a group of 7. Booking made for 9.30 and group was promptly seated at a nice round table right in the atmosphere. We had garlic bread and dough balls for starters- really good. Then pizzas, chicken Caesar salad (my favourite), cannelloni and pasta for mains- everyone happy with their food. Got a couple of desserts which were tasty I'm told. Other than that, we had beer and house wines- all were good. Service was very good and attentive and even at 12.45am there was no feeling of being rushed out. Can't beat this restaurant for nighttime atmosphere and reliably tasty food. Thanks for a good night Milanos!

I wasn't overly impressed with the food but saying that it was quite enjoyable, the starter of Bruschetta and mushrooms was very nice, the pizza was light on the toppings but tasty. The service was very very good, polite and professional. The only thing was the kids in the restaurant shouting at each other at the next table for a little while. Aside from this it was lovely.

This is a great value place to go. It caters for all different types of nights out, from a casual lunch to a good romantic meal. Food is very tasty, their pizzas are 2nd only to one other place, although they are catching up fast as they change their menu often and had added a different range recently. Their portions are big, starters, while limited are good - although the pesto has a 'tesco' flavour to it !! Wine list is somewhat limited, but what they have is good everyday wine. I have been there about 6-7 times in the last 2 years and will be back - for the value and the pizza.

We just visited Milanos tonight. STAY AWAY! We booked the table for ten people yesterday for seven o clock. They rang yesterday and asked would we mind changing to half six as they had another party in at ten and needed us out by half nine they said. We agreed. Then this morning they rang us again and changed it back to seven. When we arrived at 7 they accused us of being half an hour late but when they checked again they apologized for the mistake. Before they had taken our order the waiter told us we needed to be out by nine even though we were told half on the phone. We kicked up a fuss and then the manager arrived. The manager was very rude and didn’t have much English. She was very condescending but in the end agreed to let us stay till half. Service was slow. I ordered dough balls for starters. Very bland. Basically just dough! And as the menu was limited just went with the crowd and ordered a pizza. Pizza was fine. When the bill arrived they had over charged us for the three bottles of Rose. On the menu they were 14.99 but on the bill were 22.99 each. So they over charged us by 21 euro. Tried to explain this to the waiter but he didn’t understand. So we just left and didn’t leave a tip. The staff were very obnoxious and I will never ever go back again. Again STAY AWAY! Not worth the hassle and the stress!

I was there the other night with a group of around fifteen! We made no reservation but the staff kindly made a table for us out in the back where they hold parties. Although the staff seemed a bit grumpy, this may have been due to the lack of a reservation. When it came time to order wine I found the wine menu a bit small, but still varied in choice. I chose the cannelloni, the stuffing of cheese and spinach (I think) was ok, but the sauce was delightful. Served with a slice of ciabatta bread and a spoon which I found was a delightful finish to the meal. The desert menu seemed to lack originality, although the ice cream was delicious. It ended up as €25 including a main meal, desert, an espresso and two glasses of wine which I think is excellent value.

The staff seemed a bit grumpy when we arrived, no smile or welcome to the restaurant. It was a Wednesday evening, but it didn't seem too busy. We were led to a table that sat three, and handed menus then asked to leave to a smaller table so a group of three could take the table instead. No apology. For starters we shared the dough balls - pretty bland with a ramekin of slightly melted butter. They were served on a small white saucer, not many points for presentation. The pizzas were good. It's a good idea to ask for the thinner base these are bigger and crispier that the normal size. We shared a sloppy Giuseppe and a chicken and pepper pizzas. Both were tasty. A fudge sundae was shared by both. A bit disappointing, a few scoops of vanilla ice cream with a few cubes of hard fudge thrown over. The service was quick and efficient. Mediocre food for average prices. I've had better elsewhere.

Great place for a good value dinner. I had the pollo salad and while it was very nice, it could have done with a bit less of the dressing. I love the bread that comes with it too. Apart from that the service was very good and chocolate sundae dessert excellent!

Milanos is a fairly standard pizzeria, the service is quick and friendly. The pizzas are fantastic though quite small when you compare them to other Italians. The pasta dishes however are very below standard and are almost identical to Botticelli ones you can buy in any supermarket....

Myself and my friend wanted a nice dinner and somewhere to sit and chat for a while so decided to try Milano. For a Wednesday night the restaurant was very busy but we only had to wait 10 minutes for a table. The selection of pizzas is great so it took a while to decide on one - in the end I went for the Fiorentina (egg, spinach & olives) and was satisfied. Pizzas are good value and a nice size. Only negative point was the noise level in the restaurant.

I'm a regular visitor of this Milanos. Can't really fault the food. The new roman pizza bases are amazing. And the dough balls are a great starter. Usually can get starters and main course for €20 which is great value. No complaints about the waiters, but when we arrived on a Wednesday night, it was quite busy and the woman told us it'll be a 20min wait. We said fine, and our table was literally ready in 3 mins. And then I heard her tell other people the same thing. I got the feeling they didn't want you to wait. That's my only complaint.

I ate here with a friend for a catch up session, and for the most part it was great. Good service, we both got really unusual yet tasty pizzas, but we felt a bit crammed in. I felt like the couple sitting beside us could literally hear every word, despite the place being quite noisy!

Came here for an early dinner just after Christmas. The restaurant was quite crowded but we got a table with only a wait of 2/3 minutes. The selection of pizzas was second to none - plenty to satisfy any taste. The food was tasty and good value. It's a pizzeria I will visit again.

Usually a fan of pizza but i find the portions in Milano's a bit on the light side. It's a nice place but can be a bit hit-and-miss. Not sure of the quality of most Italians in the city centre as i usually prefer the mexican option but it's worth a try. The dough-balls are quite a nice starter.

Milano is great value for money. Bruschetta con fungi is a nice starter and their new antipasti is really tasty too. Pizzas can be a bit unreliable. I usually go for the same one, Padana, but it can be different each time, with different amount of toppings. This might sound fussy, but when you've had something once and you love it you hope next time it'll be the same. Still though it doesn't put me off and I love their cannelloni too. Love, love, love their cheesecake. Oh I think I'll go there now.....

Went here over Christmas. The food was delicious but I was disappointed to be seated in the back part which was practically empty. The service was very good though as was the food so I can’t complain.

I'd agree with the reviewer that recommended turning up the heating. the decor doesn't lend itself to a feeling of cosiness. pizzas are pleasant and service quick. one word of warning, on a previous visit our large group was automatically charged the usual service charge for groups over a certain size but when it came to paying by credit card, the waiter was pretty persistent in asking that a further gratuity be added. not impressive

Try the Pollo Astra Pizza it is delicious. Excellent service our waitress was prompt, friendly & informative about the restaurant's wine selection. The restaurant itself I thought could do with a lick of paint on the inside & ladies toilets upstairs left a lot to be desired. Neither points would stop me from returning to this restaurant.

A large group of us ate here on Christmas eve, though the wait for a table was long, it was to be expected and once seated the service was prompt. I have eaten here many times and have never been able to fault the food or service. Try the banoffi, it's to die for! House wine is also great value and a good price. The perfect retreat after a long days shopping!

12 of us ate here on Saturday night. The food was lovely as all good Italian food is, and the wine was a treat. I would not fault Milano's service or food. But perhaps some background music would have enhanced the atmosphere.

Alright nothing amazing, had a pizza here. Although tasty..nothing out of the ordinary, I would however recommend the dough balls! Atmosphere was ok, though they could do with turning up the heating just a tad.

I'm a little wary of Milano, having had a couple of bad meals in the Temple Bar branch, but Dawson Street is a much classier operation. On a spontaneous night out we wanted something uncomplicated and this did the job. My pizza was very tasty, sweet and spicy, but even with the thinnest of crusts the knife wouldn't cut and we had to resort to pulling them apart. Decent cutlery please! I'm not really a dessert fan but the mascarpone with baby figs was amazing. Service quick and very friendly. No good or bad surprises. Milano Dawson Street does its job well.

Went here with a big group for a work party. Were sat downstairs which was not great but as we were a big party we didn't grumble. Food was ok. Everyone was happy but nothing stood out as amazing. Service was good, no problems handling the large numbers and was attentive. Would recommend for groups eating out. Only problem was they wouldn't take a booking, even when we went in and just requested an table in an hour. Not great when you have large numbers and can't be assured of a table.

Very acceptable food, good size portions, friendly and attentive staff, not an amazing atmosphere but a great spot for lunch as the food is good quality and the service is so prompt, not sure if I would be interested enough to come here for dinner but I am sure I shall return for lunch many more times.

Milano's from the outside looks like another overpriced restaurant on Dawson Street - however appearences can often be decieving - in fact the place serves up as an unexpected treat! The prices are actually very reasonable and the pizzas are so good. The atmosphere's also very relaxing and enjoyable. Perfect for pre-nite out!

Cool place, food was brought to us fast and was very tasty. I had the Bosco salad and loved it, really good. The pizzas looks very nice also. We were seated as soon as we walked in but the place did become pretty packed soon after. Very nice menu, though it is a little restricted. Good value for money and a lovely place for dinner.

Nice, food, exactly as you would expect from Milano in any location, however the restaurant is rather crowded with little space between the tables and the noise level is a bit excessive, could be due to the low ceiling. Dining out should be a little more relaxing and calm. Overall food good, would like a more relaxing experience. Service very good too!

Not too many positives or negatives to take from a visit to this place - everything about it is mediocre. Their pasta dishes are quite bland, the decor is quite cold, but the service is ok. One thing that really does annoy me about Milano's - it seems to be a place where people think it's perfectly ok to let their kids run riot.

I had lunch yesterday at Milano Dawson Street with my two sisters. We do lunch every Saturday and Milano is one of our regular favourites. Never had a bad meal. I would recommend the Soho pizza and Pinot Grigio wine. The restaurant is always busy and has a good buzz. A lot of families eat here on a Saturday so it must be good value. My only crib is the routine with the black pepper!! It happens a lot in Italian restaurants. The waiter arrives with a tall pepper container and grinds a small amount over your meal. Why can’t they leave salt & black pepper on all tables?

Really like this pizzeria for good pizza. The range is vast, but the starters are disappointing. Often go to Dawson St, sometimes a longer wait than temple bar but plenty of watering holes near by to work up an appetite. My fav has to be the American hot, I especially like mine extra hot, this is never a problem, but beware the chef might see it as a challenge to make it hot hot hot!! Never had a dessert here or wine. Good food before going out for the night, not one for a romantic night lingering over a bottle and a candle.

I enjoyed a delicious pizza in Milano last night. The restaurant was packed - there was a constant stream of people in and out, which I thought funny for a Wednesday, but they are clearly doing something right. The food is good, the service is friendly. Not the best pizza in Dublin, but it was tasty.

It's not exactly the authentic Italian experience, but if you want reliable food, good service and a nice setting then it's the place to go. You pay a lot less for dinner here than you'd pay anywhere else on Dawson Street! Pizzas are huge and filling, and the pastas are basic but tasty. Always good if you're looking for somewhere you know you can count on.

No. Just no. Don't do this to yourself. Dublin has great Italian restaurants. This is not one of them. It’s overpriced, and tastes like something you microwave from a supermarket. The staff are average, the surroundings poor. I have been here on several occasions due to friends having dinners here, and the food is always poor.

I went here on a work night out and had a table for 12. The atmosphere was great, relaxed and happy. The food was delicious, although if you didn't like pizza it could be limiting. I had the Soho pizza, which is garlic, and olive pizza with rocket and Parmesan added after it's cooked. It was very tasty, and fresh. Everyone else was very satisfied with their pizza or pasta. The service was a bit slow though. It took a long time for our food to arrive and it was hard to catch the waiter’s eye to get more wine. However, if you are in a big group you don't mind this as much. The bill was fairly reasonable, especially considering all the wine we drank! I would definitely recommend this restaurant, especially for a night out with a group of friends/colleagues.

Went here before a gig last weekend and it was perfect. Had the garlic bread with mozzarella for starters while my other half had the new specialist breads. Both were absolutely gorgeous. For mains we both had pizza which arrived in a timely fashion and which were yummy. I think I would eat here every day if I could :)

Ate here in a group of 10 at a work do two weeks ago. Had a table out the back, for bigger groups. Had Bruschetta to start and was gorgeous, nice and light. Had Pinot Griot for the table, and it wasn't bad. Wine list not great though. Had tortellini for main, and it was beautiful, incredibly filling, but tasty. Service wasn't the best, bit slow to remember to call back to the table. But all in all a good night.

Had a yummy lunch here recently with a couple of friends. Would highly recommend the Pollo Verdure - a lovely warm chicken and char grilled vegetable salad with a gorgeous dressing. Wasn't so sure about the look of one friend's mushroom ravioli and she admitted it was a bit stodgy. That was our only complaint, though and glasses of wine were very generous. Would definitely go back.

Yummm, I love this restaurant! Pizza is delicious, as is bruschetta. Staff are friendly and pleasant. Pasta I tried before was a little dry so I usually stick to the pizza or lasagne. Desserts are amazing, esp. Toffee Fudge Glory. If you want to try Milano, go to Dawson St, it's nicer than the one in Dundrum.

A perfect place for a relaxed lunch after a mornings shopping. Have eaten here a number of times and couldn't fault the food or service. Is always pretty busy yet never feel you are being rushed out of the place to make way for more customers. Good selection of pizzas but the choice of pasta dishes could be broader.

I love the Milano's chain but the Dawson St branch would be my favourite. Staff here are fantastic and service is fast. The pizzas in Milano's are absolutely delicious. My favourite would be the Soho (garlic, rocket and parmesan), it is simple but amazing. Would also recommend the Truffel pizza, but I think it's only available for a short period.

Went in a group of five for the first time and was very impressed. The service was polite and excellent. The vegetable crisps are lovely and the mushroom ravioli was fantastic. The ice cream is top notch and the prices were extremely reasonable. I have paid far more for half the quality. If you want guaranteed good Italian, Milano's is the way to go.

Milano is only a step up from a fast food restaurant. I find all their restaurants soulless with dull tasteless food. It's factory food with no imagination and the service tends to be slow and unapologetic. There are loads of places to eat at the same price with far more character and nicer staff. Stay away!

I am big on service. If you get the most scrumptious meal of your life served up by a surly waiter, the it will always leave a bitter aftertaste. Luckily, Milano's in Dawson Street is one of the true safe havens for uncomplicated efficient and friendly service that is left in our fair city. The pizzas are amongst the best in town..Especially the Fiorentina.... thin crispy bases best eaten with a bottle of the house plonk. Go with friends, and hide out all afternoon.

I decided to book a table at this restaurant for a group of eight, on a Saturday night. My decision to choose this eatery was based on the reviews on the MenuPages website. Nothing could of prepared me for the inadequacies that we experienced on that faithful night. It was an extremely cold evening and we were seated down the back of the restaurant next to a fire escape, which could have been mistaken for a portal to an ice planet! Siberian sub-zero tempratures rushed under the door while we attempted to eat our food, clasping utensils with frostbitten hands. Scott himself would have been at home here. The arrangement of 4 circular tables pushed together made the experience even worse! As you may already know, the menu here is predominantly made up of pizzas with 4-5 pasta dishes. Well make that 2 pasta dishes, as Papa Milano Snr. neglected to spend enough time at the pasta machine that day, (not that they use one) which left the place short of 3 dishes. So pizza for everyone! Four bottles of wine later the pizzas came out, by that stage the alcohol to blood ratio was acting as anti-freeze so the chilblains and frostbite were a distant, tingling sensation in our extremities. It really couldn't take more than 20 minutes to make a pizza! At that stage we couldn't wait to get out of the place and I was responsible for picking a terrible place to eat. This restaurant is fine for a pizza at lunchtime, but never attend here for dinner. They just can't seem to cope with a full house. I can safely say I will never be going back here again!

Ate here last Sat with two others. As we came in, a group left, so we sat at their table (there was no one ahead of us). We waited ages for a menu. A grumpy burly waiter eventually came over and said since we took ourselves to our table he didn't know we were there...We ordered two salads and a cannelloni. All three dishes were delicious and their breadsticks are to dies for. However, not once did our waiter smile, and this put me off ever coming back I'm afraid.

I have been going to this restaurant for the past 4 years. For an Italian I find it to be the best value for money in town, the only annoying thing is you can be waiting for a table for a while, normally won't be longer than 20 mins though. The best thing is, its on Dawson Street and you have a choice of pubs outside, from Cafe En Seine to Sam Sara’s to the smallest pub in Dublin - The Dawson Lounge and there’s a taxi rank right outside - what more do you need??

My husband and 3 boys have eaten here scores of times over the last 7 years or so. We all love the pizzas and the atmosphere is always good. Only problem can be waiting for a table. We have been searching for somewhere with a pizza as good, but none have matched up!!!

Have been to Milano's on a number of occasions and it never fails to deliver. Our waitress was lovely and was very attentive despite it being a very busy Friday night. Also had no problem in changing my main course when I did not like what I had ordered. I would have serious difficulty in finding a better restaurant in Dublin which is this good value for money.

A very reliable restaurant - good food at a good price. Very popular so sometimes there is a wait, but great for a last minute choice!

Perfect pizzas every time I always intend to try something other than pizza but when I get the whiff of the pizzas cooking I’m sold

This is one of my favourite restaurants for a quick "pick-me-up". Their food is generous and quite literally melts in your mouth. The pizza's are divine and the salads delicious. Baked Dough Ball as a starter with some garlic butter are just a must when you go and visit it.

Great place for a cheap bite to eat during the day or at night. Had a college class night out here recently and we all really enjoy it. Brilliant atmosphere in the place, I have returned twice since that night, and will do so again!

I love this place, I have been there a number of times now in the last couple of months, and every time I go, I'm very pleased with the food, and the service. The pizza's are perfect, and are now my favourite in town. The desserts have to be tried, and it is always buzzing. It is a very reasonable place too. Highly recommended!!
