Havana is a good alternative place for drinks, if you're not decided either for beer or for wine. We got the classic - mojito in a big jug. As the name suggests, you can have simple dinner here as well (which will fill you), at a good price. I liked the fact that even though we were about 10 people, we found a ling table where we could sit close enough to hear each other. The staff was friendly, young and probably from Spanish-speaking countries (nice accent!).

Went here with my best friend, I got the selection of dips and it was simply delicious. It came with pesto, the nicest hummus I've ever tried and some olive dip. It was served with various breads and nachos. Washed it all down with a nice pot of tea. Free wifi and a lovely warm welcoming atmosphere in this place was the cherry on the cake.I'll defiantly come back.

This place is great for catching up with friends or a cosy after work nibble. Very reasonable prices and the quality of food is great. Lovely flavours and good selection of tapas. The service was friendly and it had a great atmosphere, really busy for a Tuesday evening. Some people coming in sit down by themselves comfortably reading a book, shows its a very relaxed place and it's nice to see you're not rushed away even when it's so busy.I would definitely recommend this place and will be back for more.

It was only on my third visit to Havana that I felt I could write a decent review. My first visit I felt uncomfortable the whole time I was there, I have no idea way but I couldn't really remember the food. The second time was as part of the Campo Viejo Tapas Trail, we were quite impressed and decided a revisit was in order. We started with the pinchos platter as we weren't sure how hungry we where! This was followed quickly by an order of meatballs, patatas bravas and calamari. All were very good. We washed them down with a pitcher of the best mojito I have had in Dublin in a while. We will definitely return, the only reason they did not get four out of five stars in my review is because there was no toilet roll in either of the ladies toilets, an oversight I cannot abide!

Absolutely the BEST brownie I have ever had! And a very good Irish coffee to go with it. Went here with my boyfriend and it had a very romantic atmosphere. Would be lovely for a first date. We got a sharing platter for two and I only knocked off half a mark because there wasn't enough. Three chicken wings between two!! I mean at least give four so couples dont have to fight over the last one!! They are amazing though. Will definitely being going back for more.

I went in here with my Mother and husband on Christmas Eve for some Tapas as an alternative to all the Christmas food that would have been around the next few days. The service was quick and friendly between the three of us we got potatas bravas, spanish omelette, the havana platter of hams/cheeses and a selection of dips/breads. The food was delicious and there was plenty to each to share. I love coming here for either a meal or a casual snack and the price was reasonable also.

Tried a sharing plate, was good quality but the portion size between 2 people could have been bigger. Past the place loads of times and it always looks lively. I will be returning to sample some of the main course dishes in the future

This is a very casual restaurant with relaxed atmosphere and tasty food. This is the place to go to when you want to eat something nice but don’t want to break the bank. You would go here to enjoy your company and not the décor. The service is good for a casual place and the platters are good portions. Between 4 of us we had two platters and 3 sides which was plenty for the 4 of us and together with a bottle of wine we ended up to €76 which is very good. I will definitely go back for another girlie meal.

This place is really great value for tapas if you get the platters. We got two between the three of us and there was more than enough food with lots of different things to try which is what tapas should be like. There is a great buzz about the place and the staff are incredibly nice and very accommodating It is a bit squashed though but I would still recommend it.

The food is really nice the only problem for me was that there wasn't enough of it! I shared the pintxos platter which had a really tasty selection of chorizo and other spanish meats, cheese, spanish tortilla, and patatas. Between two it was very much a snack, but then that is the nature of pintxo tapas! Staff were very friendly and accomodating even when we stayed after the food to have a few drinks. I liked the atmosphere too, I went with a friend for a bit of a girly chat on a friday night, its real chilled out and all in all I think I'd go back.

I liked this place for its ambiance. Again, the WiFi sticker lead me in and the first few times I just had a latte (which comes with two yummy chocolates) but I have since eaten there and while the sandwiches at lunch are nice, I would in the future skip the veggie platter for dinner. It included an omelette, mushrooms (which were soggy), patatas bravas (which reallllly didn't compare to the market bar and tasted like the were cookes hours ago) and a tomato salad. I was somewhat disappointed. Later I opted for a chocolate brownie and it was beyond lackluster ; being burnt and what not. Nice staff most of the time and nice atmosphere but since they went under new ownership (or so i heard that was the case) , things have gone downhill. if you must eat, check out the early bird special til 7pm update : i went in for a chai latte that was more like hot water with some milk in it. i wont be back.

What a great little tapas bar which is excellent value for money, with lovely Spanis staff and an atmosphere like being in the kitchen of a good friend... You could happily spend the whole night here... We had the Selection of Dips with breads, followed by the Pinchos platter and the Casablanca Couscous salad... All very generous portions and all just tasting of freshness... We had a pitcher of mojitos and some nice wine to finish... All in all a fabulous evening... We will definitely be back...

Came here for a girlie mid-week dinner. We naively ordered 3 plates each-the portions are huge and 3 between us would have done! The platters were definitely the best option. The food itself was lovely and nicely presented. We split a jug of sangria which, unlike many attempts I have sampled, was not too sweet. There was a couple of mix ups with the orders however but nothing to be bothered about. The poor waitress was clearly run off her feet, most likely due to the group deal voucher that had been on lately. So the restaurant was quite busy for a Wednseday evening. Will return-with a hungrier belly!

This place has a lovely cuban latin atmosphere with music playing and nicely decorated. We both othered tapas plates. Mine was a veggie one with mushrooms, potatoes, spanish omlette and salad. The mushrooms were in a beautiful spicy sauce, delish. The omlette was just ok, obviously a reheated slice. My partner had meatballs, chicken, mushrooms and potato gratin. The meatballs were a hit but the chicken was medicore. The gratin was beautifuly, i could have eaten a whole plate of it. We shared a jug of sangria - lovely stuff. We enjoyed dishes as lots of different tastes. The total bill was e33 which was well worth it. The waitress was faultless and friendly.

Good value lunch menu here, plenty to chose from, and under a tenner! To start, we shared a portion of chicken wings - they were lovely, a light buffalo sauce, and not too greasy. For my main I had the chorizo and cheese quesadilla. Lovely flavours - however, they were a bit mean with the chorizo, I could have done with a lot more! My friend was very happy with her dish, a kinda of chicken soup/stew - the flavours were lovely. Along with a very nice bottle of house red, for €18, the bill came to around €40. Apart from the greasy smell that comes from the kitchen, we enjoyed our lunch here. The food is very good.

Ate at Havana with a large group of friends, got seated down the back under the stairs where we could be noisy and lazy around for an evening of chats, the food was nice but not amazing, we ordered so much we had trouble fitting them on the table. The service was good and the atmosphere very laid back which is just what we wanted. Would recommend it for a large group of people but not for the amazing food.

I ate here yesterday evening with three friends and in general we were all a bit disappointed with the food. I had the veggie platter, the tortilla was quite bland and the patatas bravas were not properly cooked and not tasty at all. My friend ended up sending her patatas back and changing her order. The waitress was friendly, but overall none of us would return....

Ate here quite late for a quick bite and a couple of drinks. Though the food was ok, it was quite expensive and they got our order wrong and handled it very unprofessionally. We ordered the "vegetarian selection of dips" and potato gratin to share. While tucking into the vegetarian salad with the dips we discovered a chunk of chicken! We were shocked they made such a mistake. When I called over the waiter/manager who took our order to complain he reacted as if it didn't matter. He proceeded to shrug his shoulders and assure us the rest of the dips were vegetarian! This was unacceptable and it was left to me to state that I would like the plate of food taken away and replaced with what I ordered. The female cook/waitress brought out our order several minutes later and apologised for their error. We were not in anyway compensated for their mistake. Needless to say, I would not return here again.

I brought a friend here for a birthday lunch. We were slightly disappointed though that the seafood was not yet ready for the paella, and we went in at 2pm on saturday. We both got the chicken paella instead which was very good. The staff were lovely, and very attentive. We sat there for several hours without once been made to feel that we should leave. Would definitly go here again.

Dined here with a large group of friends for a late lunch. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and no problem with us sitting for many many hours drinking as opposed to eating. We had a late lunch. While I did not sample them the prawns looked, and were said to be delicious. I had the vegetarian lunch but I was a little disappointed with the size of my slice of spanish omelette. I thought it would be much more substantial. There seemed to be some confusion between the meatball dishes ordered on the different menus e.g. a meatball lunch or just meatballs. Everyone was satisfied with what they recieved anyway and a pleasant night was had by all. Would return

I have not been here for a long time, except to get my great value 2 euro coffees on Tuesday nights when I am in college next door. (2 euro is very competitive I have learned over the semester). Food is good value here, although I think the choice is very limited. Wines are great value, we had a bottle of procecco, which tasted lovely and was only 21 or 22 euros. I know the same bottle from my local wine store and its 10 euro there, but mark up is expected and the price is still below what others may charge. Service was grand, the place was busy and I will be back again. It is affordable here, and thats what we all need in January.

This place does nice food but is way too expensive for what you get. 6.95 for a standard (untoasted!) vegetarian brown bread sandwich, for example. Accompanied 'salad' was literally one and a half cherry tomatoes and three tiny slices of cucumber.Tasted nice but definitely too expensive. On the plus side, the decor and atmosphere of Havana is fantastic, a lovely place to relax in. Their coffees are lovely and there's an interesting mix on the menu. This place would be top-notch if the prices were halved!

Visited on a busy Friday night. Great atmosphere and was pleasantly surprised with the food - I was nervous after reviewing comments here! 4 of us shared: platos mixtos, paella, chicken satay and potato gratin. Think if I was ordering on my own I would go for the platos mixtos, its a lovely mix of food - manchego cheese, parma ham, meatballs, fried potoatoes etc - very tasty! Would definitely recommend Havana, looking forward to returning soon!

Came here for a late lunch and was really impressed. They have a lunch deal whereby we each had a mug of chunky homemade mushroom soup, a hot wrap or quesadilla-i had a chargrilled chicken wrap with salad and my friend chose the quesadilla- and a cup of nice strong coffee (or tea) all for 9.95. Great value and tasty food, I'll definitely drop in for lunch more often.

Haven't been here for awhile but will remember when in town next. They have a good lunch menu and there's a special €9.95 deal of Soup or Hummus & Nachos, Sandwich or Wrap and tea and any type of coffee. There is a nice choice and they had 2soups available. Soup was nice, as well as the hummus & nachos which came with a slice of tomato bread. Mains were Paella, Serrano Ham & Cheese Quesadilla and smoked salmon and cream chees sandwich. The salad with these was really nice. Good espresso was had at the end. Nice spot for just coffee and cake as well.

Great location great food. One of the few novelity restaurants I really like. Can be a bit cramped at times, tables can be a bit small depending on the amount of tapas your order, but its all part of the charm of this restaurant. Highly recommened good location to meet friends or for organising a party.

I popped in here with a friend recently for an early dinner. My first impression was that there was a chilled atmosphere and the staff were very nice. My own food - the Havana Platter- didn't wow me but my friends veggie platter had some awesome sauteed mushrooms. We had a beer, a platter and tea each and I have to say it was a little expensive for what we got as there is not a lot in the platter and it came in about €20 each(before tip) Seems a little expensive for a snack and a beer to me.

Went with 2 friends on a Friday evening. Great atmosphere, busy and casual and lots of interesting people to look at. Overall though a disappointing experience. Some cocktails not good value - my mojito at EUR 7.50 was definitely not worth it. Desserts lovely. Wouldn't go back though which is disappointing as atmosphere was great.

I went here a fe years back with a friend and had a really lovely meal, so i've been meaning to come back for some time now. I was out for the evening with my Vegetarian friend and I recommended we drop in, hoping it was as good as i'd remembered. I was not disappointed. Firstly, I love the decor and the ambience of the place. Lots of colourful art and bits and pieces on the wall, nice rustic, comfortable furniture and some really atmospheric South American music played at the perfect level to make you drum your fingers but not have to shout to speak over. We ordered the selection of dips and the veggie platter as well as a carafe of Chilean white from a very friendly waitress, and it came out within 10 mins which was great because we were starving! The hummous, tapenade and salsa dips were all beautiful, my favourite was the salsa, nicely spicy and very fresh tasting. I like that they serve nachos as well as bread with this as it makes it easier to finish all the dips without feeling too stodgy. The veggie platter was also really beautiful, spanish omelette and sauteed mushrooms were really tasty, as was the tomato and basil salad. The only slight disappointment was the fried potatoes which were a little bland. The wine was really cold and perfect with everything, and we left absolutely nothing on our plates. It came to €28 in total! Amazing value for really very tasty, fresh food. Will definitely be back.

1st time here. We both ordered Pinchos which was very tasty and for €11 excellent value. Only downside is that it was luke warm. The house chardonnay is very tasty and good value. We shared delicious homemade tiramasu. Atmosphere was chilled and staff are very friendly. Will definitely call back

Went here with a group with a group of girls from college. Atmosphere is nice and casual. Good for a catch up. The food is tasty but not amazing. I'd been here before a few years ago and seemed to remeber that the cocktails were lovely but I was very disappointed with the Mojitos these time round - very bland.

I came here with 8other people, We were seated promptly and out drinks came really quickly. The waiter was really friendly as we had to ask about what to order as none had been at a tapas bar before. We shared 3 platters, Meatballs, Paella and Spanish sausage. The food was lovely everything was finished, washed down with lots of sangria. The only bad side and it wasn't even too bad the toilets were very tight, not a lot of room. The place was packed for a Friday night and I will defiantly be back.

A group of 9 of us ate here last night. An unfortunate experience. The main courses did not come out at the same time, it took 25 minutes between the first person getting their dinner and the final person to get it. The portions were quite small and the food was luke warm. It wasn't particularly busy either so cannot understand why it was so slow getting tapas out to us in a timely manner.

Doesnt affect the service though, always good. Food is gorgeous! Love ordering lots of different platter & dishes and sharing everything! Love the Chorizo & the calamari & the potato gratin....ah love all of it! Will go back again and again and again!

I went here with a friend as she is a big fan of Havana. Now I know why! I found the whole dining experience to be excellent. The menu is varied and reasonably priced, while the atmosphere is both chilled and friendly. I had a chirizo stew which was very tasty, accompanied by delicious bread. It was a Sunday evening when we ate here, but I've been told it gets quite lively on weekend nights. Salsa dancing and an English/Spanish language exchange also run on certain days. I'm sure I will be back to sample both!

Went here on a work night out. We ordered a few of the mixed platters which are perfect for sharing around the table. We also had the calamari which were perfectly cooked. Food was good, house wine was very good but the most impressive thing about this place is the staff. They are friendly and relaxed despite the busy Friday evening rush. The jugs of mojhito's are dangerously good. This place is perfect for kicking off a night out in town.

We went for on the sat before Christmas, without a booking I was told we would have to wait a half hr but that was fine as half of our party were running late, the rest of us sat at the Bar and had a glass of wine while we waited (which was very tasty and reasonable priced). Interiors could do with a little bit of an update but the Staff were extremely nice and put tables together for us so that the 6 of us seat together. Food wise Starters of Calamara was lovely but main course of Plato Mixto just tasted of Garlic, way to much in the dish but everyone else in my party where happy with their food so........Atmosphere was buzzing! I would go back again to give it a 2nd chance!

I came here for lunch one Friday. The restaurant was quite dark on the inside and seemed like the type of place that does most of it's trade in the evening/nightime. We ordered a mixed platter. It arrived quickly however I felt the portion size was quite small. There wasn't a great variety on the menu either.

Fell in the love with the sangria straight away - recommend the liter for two with dinner! Small order of paella is huge and very nice along with the plato mixto to try out a couple starters but make sure to leave room for the banoffi pie because it was OUT OF THIS WORLD!

3 of us called in here in the hope of getting a table (had tried booking but we were told they werent taking any more but to just turn up) didnt take long to get a table, and while we waited we sat at the bar having a drink. We got a jug of mojitos (not the best ive had), we shared the dips platter to start, then we had chorizo frito, lentil and chorizo stew and tomato salad, all were delicious and really generous portions.service was very prompt and the staff were really friendly and helpful. A great place to meet for a few drinks and a chat, later on there was salsa dancing but we didnt partake however most enjoyable watching the professionals.ive been here before for a few drinks but will definitely be back for the food and next time il get up and dance!thanks guys for a great night

Visited the Havana on a night out, as they have some of the best mojitos in town! A little chorizo dish with that was just perfect to keep us going. Atmosphere is very relaxed - you can even write on the walls if you are from a different country!

I dropped into Havana for a quick pre-theatre bite to eat, and while it was fine, it was nothing spectacular. The restaurant was busy and atmospheric, but staff were under pressure, so service was slow. I ordered chicken stew with a glass of red wine, I was told that there was no chicken stew & was offered lamb instead. Great! I love lamb stew. Chicken appeared, how bizarre. The stew was tasty enough, but the portion was a little on the small size, the accompanying bread was miserable, and the stew contained more celery than chicken. The house red was perfectly drinkable, and I left reasonably satisfied, but uninspired. Will probably try Havana again sometime, but with so much choice out there, I probably won't go out of my way.

Have been here before and thought the food was good and very reasonably priced. Was a bit disappointed this time as after ordering, the waitress came back to say they didn't have that item. However, what I id get in the end was very good: a mixed vegetarian platter. Wine was good too and at a reduced price on the Early Bird Menu. My companion wasn't so happy with his paella as it was very dry but overall a cheap and cheerful restaurant handy for a casual bight to eat and with a nice atmosphere. Don't be put off by the ugly exterior!

Met a friend here for a catch up and a few drinks. We shared the dips and bread and also had the pinchos platter and two glasses of wine each. The breads were lovely and alongside the pinchos platter was the perfect amount for two. The whole thing cost us twenty each inluding the tip which I felt was amazing value seeing as we'd stayed well over two hours..closer to three. The atmosphere was really lovely with a good few tables of young groups sitting and chatting. I've had nicer tapas in nicer settings but they were very tasty and as far as value and atmosphere are concerned it would be a hard one to beat! Will be making this a regular after work place

Pleasant First Date! I went here with my boyfriend on our first date a few weeks ago. We both wanted some tapas and Spanish wine and so decided to go to Havana. The atmosphere is hip and young, they offer free wi-fi and have funky decor. We got two platters between us, the plato mixto and the havana platter, and a bottle of the house red, followed by mojitos. We had a great experience, the wine was great, the cheese and charcuterie were delicious and the atmosphere was lively and perfect for young couples dining out. I'd recommend it for a casual night out with inexpensive yet tasty food.

I visited Havana last night, the first time in several years and I was very disappointed. Am I the only one who thinks that this has become one of the worst value eateries in Dublin? €12.75 for a small platter of chorizo, omlette and meatballs? And the €5.75 muffin with cream from a can was the icing on the cake. Awful value. Service was reasonably efficient and the atmosphere is pretty good. But the food was uninteresting and very overpriced for what you get. I won't mention any names but there are much better restaurants in Dublin in this food category that are cheaper. I will not be going back.

Went to Havana last night for the first time in ages. It wouldn't automatically be the first place I'd usually choose for Tapas. I was quite impressed though. We just had 2 tapas each - I had the paella and omelette and was absolutely stuffed. It was really good as well. Wish I could make Paella like that! For Tapas, the portions are really substantial and the meal was great value at €57 for 4 good sized tapas and a decent bottle of wine.

I've been here twice in the past month, the first time with a spanish student who was staying with me. He enjoyed the food as did I, especially the pinchos(mixed platter) and the Calamares which was the best I have ever tasted. I thought the English language exchange get together for people learning to speak English was a great idea. My second visit was during the day, food was good but some of it arrived late, I prefer when all the tapas arrive together. Also service was poor on this occasion. We had to ask for plates and for our water jug to be refilled. Not a big deal though, the staff are lovely and it is very good value. Will go there again.

Had a very good bite to eat here, great value..tasty bites in a relaxed atmosphere..Good sized portions, The Duck and Mango salad is lovely..Would be a great place to go for lunch during the day, or a great place to stop if you need to eat before heading out for drinks and don't want to spend a huge amount of time in a restaurant, but still want good food! Nicely surprised when the bill came as well :-)

Great for a relaxing evening after work looking out onto the street drinking a glas of wine. I tried the paella which tasted quite good and was good value. Looking over at other guests though who had ordered some of the platters I thought they were very, very small for the price. Service was nice.

Had a fantastic night out here recently. Food is top class and delicious with a great menu. Service is very relaxed and you feel as though you are at a friend's house. This supported when they pull out drums and instruments and have an impromptu session before closing. Really enjoyable evening to be had here, definite recommendation.

Usually go to Havana after work with friends, the earlybird is great value and the food and service are fantastic. 2 veg platters and a bottle of fab wine was just under €40.00. Great value overall will be back again next week!!

Visited this place friends on a Monday evening. We ordered Tapas to share between us. The large chicken wings were not as big as we would have hoped but they tasted really nice. The rest of the food was good too especially the Paella. The staff were friendly but not intrusive and the price wasnt bad. Definitely a good place to go with a group of friends where you want to just sit over a meal and a few drinks.

Only tried this place for the first time recently, which was long overdue as I love tapas. Enjoyed this visit so much I went back several times since. Great laid back atmosphere, and you can walk in off the street and wait for a table, which is great for a last minute bite to eat. Drinks are great, especially the yummy mojitos. All of the food I've tried so far has been delicious, particularly the bread/nachos and tasty dips, and the platters. Great value for great food. Will be one of my regular haunts

Was here with really big group on Sat night - a great night had by all, and I have to highly compliment the staff: it must get really awkward to serve such a large group of people, spread over a few tables, and the service was prompt and always friendly (even when some of us were very very much the last people in the restaurant! sorry!). I've only ever had dinner here before, and then moved on somewhere else - but we were there for the whole night on Sat, and the Salsa band really added to the atmosphere - there was such a good buzz about the place. Will definitely be back, and will go for the whole night the next time again! - except possibly more tapas and less mojitos the next time!

I came here for lunch one day. The restaurant was slightly grotty on the inside. The menu didn't offer a big variety. The service was fast. The food was nice although I thought it was overpriced for what you get. This might be a good place to go out at night but it isn't the best place to have lunch.

I've always thought this place looked interesting so a friend and I popped in for lunch on a quiet Monday afternoon. Suffice to say I was glad I finally gave Havana a try! The first thing that struck me about inside was 'unique' decor! I found it a bit chaotic but not overbearing in the slightest and generally seemed to fit in with the general feel of the establishment. We were given free reign to sit wherever we wished so we decided to pick a cosy spot down the back next to the 'Language Wall'. The seating was in the form of comfortable couches, perfect for a relaxing Monday Lunch! The decor was welcomely complimented by the carefully selected clearly Latin music which one would expect to find at a genuine Tapas Bar in Spain. Think cheap and cheerful but overall very friendly an welcoming, the crowd seemed pretty diverse too which is always a bonus. The food was as expected - Spanish 'Tapas' style and one would certainly not be left disappointed with the competitive pricing, excellent diversity (including lots of vegetarian choices) and authentic dishes. Drink wise, there was a whole range available to wash down our meal, from cocktails to a well selected wine list to the atypically Spanish San Miguel beer. In short, everything was top notch. However what's really special about Havana is it's atmosphere. There was absolutely no rush from the staff and with complimentary books, magazines, newspapers and games lying about the place you get the feeling that they never want you to leave! Whilst this isn't really a spot for formal dining it is the perfect place for a relaxing, cheap and fun lunch or even a couple of cocktails during the infamous Friday/Saturday Night Salsa Dancing. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at Havana and would urge those who are tempted to give this place a shot. Who knows, like me, you might just find yourself a new favorite haunt!

I love Havana. I have never had a bad meal there. Day or night, the atmosphere is always cool and relaxed. Friendly staff and friendly diners eating fab food. The tapas are small and very reasonably priced which allows you to order a good variety. They have a nice selection of beers and I love the trendy decor. I highly recommend this place. My favourite tapas bar by far

Love this place - have been back repeatedly (alone during the day and with friends) since a friend brought me a few months ago. Warm, friendly, efficient service. Great for a group dinner with friends, casual couples etc, or eating alone - never feel rushed, could sit around as long as you want here it's super relaxed & inviting. Food is great, lots of choice and great options for sharing as well - personal fave is the Pinchos. Wireless, magazines, board games if you want, friendly staff, & cheaper lunch options - you can end up spending hours in here without even realising it.

I've eaten here a few times and it's a great place for casual dining with a few friends. The food is good and it's lovely if you're in a group to get a load of different tapas plates to all dig into and try everything. The pitchers of cocktails are fabulous - especially the mojitos! Every time I've been here I've had fun and really enjoyed the experience.

This Cuban tapas bar puts a fresh spin on tired old tapas! The plates are filled with lots of taste combinations and a variety of flavors. We had a mixed plate with lots of different veggies and fried things on it. Along with the house sangria, it was great. Service is friendly and atmosphere is cheery. Prices are reasonable. Worth a try!

A fine place for a quick bite, the staff are friendly but service slow. Value for money isn't tops, you don't get a lot for your cash, but it's tastey. I find most tapas place take advantage of serving small portions so you buy more of them and end up spending more cash. But this place is lovely, has free wi-fi, and the staff don't rush you off.

Have ate here a few times. I always enjoyed the mix of good food and latin music in the background. Can be rather quiet at times you'd expect it to be busier, which can affect the atmosphere, but at least you can get a table when other places are busy.

Havana Tapas Bar is a great place for a coffee, a glass of wine with tapas, a cheap and cheerful dinner or a few mojitos and some salsa alike! Very friendly atmosphere, nice staff and tasty food. Great value and a perfect place to beat the winter blues.

A friend and I ate here, but I had to share with my friend because the waiter only brought half the order. After waiting so long, I just wanted to let it go and share. The Food was cold and wet and very disappointing. I Won't be going back there again.

I love the idea of tapas because you can stay there munching away. I dont like this havanas as much as the one on camden street. It get a bit too busy and the service isnt as good. However, the food is good, though the platter are a bit small. My favourite thing about this place is the option of "pitchers" of mojito. They are really tasty AND good value.

Was here on Friday night and must say we had a great meal. I come here a lot during the week with friends but this was my first experience here at night and I wasn't disappointed. Had the paella which was fab and also the tomato and manchego salad which was huge. The others got the lamb with potatoes which came with a delicious mint and lime sauce on the side, garlic potatoes which were really garlicy and pinchos which could have fed a small family! The wine was delicious and at 19.95 for a good bottle of rioja you couldn't go wrong! i also hear they have a salsa night on saturdays which is meant to be great, and although I'm not one for mojitos, they are meant to be quite good too! all in all a winner!!

Ate here on Monday night with my friends. It's a great, cheerful place. I had the pinchos which were lovely and we had shared the starter plates. Lovely lemon cake there as well.

Tapas is a lovely way to eat. We had a few platters and all of the choices on them were really good. Would recommend it as somewhere to eat before going on somewhere else as opposed to planning to spend the night there. Service was good, however the atmosphere could be alot better.

I was there with friends on a saturday nite, and we were seated in a busy place. We tried a bit of everything and I can only say that the food was ohh-kay, all meat very tasty but disappointing salads and veggie dishes..., the service was not adequate. All in all a bit like a fast-food tapas bar.

This is the first time i've been here and i cant wait to go back. Myself and 2 friends dropped in for a late lunch last Thursday. It was very quite but thats to be expected for that time in the afternoon. The food was great, I had the soup and it was the nicest i've ever had. Seriously good stuff. The others had the platters which had loads of stuff for the price they paid. Now i'm just waiting for an excuse to go back!

Food here very simple but very very tasty. The Paela is enormous definitly only need the small one for one person. The chicken skewers very tasty and the couscous delicious but in this instance you shouldn't share as the portion is a bit small. Highly recommended in particular if you are going to see a show in the Olympia.

My all time favorite resturant! I love it! The food, the drinks, the atmosphere, the staff, the customers all go so well together! The takeaway lunch menu is excellent value, two tapas for €6, which are quite filling. Mon - Weds the fish and meat tapas are two for €15. A word of warning though! Don't order the large paella or meatballs unless you are really hungry, the smaller portion is sufficent for two people to share. Best Cuba Libres in town!

Had a lovely meal here in Havana. Great atmosphere, really relaxed and pleasant and interesting surroundings. The type of place you would go for a casual meal with friends or even on your own and read a book and hang out. I had the paella which I thought was lovely - quality ingredients. Loved the colourfulness of all the delph and cutlery! Waitress was so pleasant, always smiling and very helpful. I'd recommend dropping by here.

Can't understand why this place is getting bad reviews! I've been there 3 times and really enjoyed it every time. Good place to go with friends and have a few drinks, but the food is lovely too. Get a couple of things for yourself or share a selection - it's all good! Nice selection of drinks too to go with the food. The staff were great, very friendly, and the atmosphere was good. I will be back a 4th time!

Never had Tapas before so this was my first experience. Prices seemed a bit OTT for the portion sizes, and food was a little bland. Would recommend the mojito's, they're really good. Staff were friendly, place was a little dead. Would like to go back and try something more substantial, and when there's more of a buzz.

This is my favourite restaurant/bar for a night out with friends in the whole of Dublin. The food is great and very cheap excellent for sharing. The cocktails are really good value, and strong! The food here really is a mixed bag. The lentil stew is delicious but the various meat plates are pretty dry. Definitely best for a large group so you get to sample alot. Chances are if its just two of you, you won't be overly happy. Wine is great though and reasonably priced!

This cafe type tapas bar served me the worst tapas I have ever had. And I eat a LOT of tapas. The service was slowish, not overly friendly, the atmosphere just like any small bar but it was the food that let it down the most. Oily, chewy, not cooked properly - the only good part was the alcohol and you need to consume that before attempting to eat.

This is not so much a restaurant as it is a noisy bar. The food is ok as an accompaniment to sangria but on it's own it's nothing special. The atmosphere is vibrant very at night but if you are not south american you may just think it's just plain noisy.

This place is probably the worst meal we have ever had, no exaggeration. The Chorizo we had to start was drowned in watery oil, chewy and no flavour-unedible. The prawns we could smell as soon as they came out and not in a good way. Unedible. Fried Potatoes average-cold and pretty tasteless. The Sangria was ok, which was probably the best thing about the meal. And to top it off it came to around E70 for 2 of us-not happy. Would never go back thats for sure!

I actually ended up here because elsewhere is closed for renovations. The food was ok, nothing spectacular and the service was basic. I liked the music and the atmosphere. I think it might be nicer for a few cocktails rather than a meal. I would probably go back for that.

Hi had my staff Xmas party here the other night. There were about 15 of us and we enjoyed it, the wine was great, the prices were reasonable but the food wasn’t great, the platters didn’t really go round well and the main courses were quite boring and small. However the bar itself had a great atmosphere and we weren’t rushed out.

I think its a shame there are so many bad reviews for this wee place. I recently went with a few friends for a quick bite to eat whilst out having a few drinks and a good time - its is perfect for this! The food is tasty and the portions aren't that small - it is tapas!!! We found the service to be fine and I don't have any complaints. We were not rushed of our seats or waiting around after ordering for ages. I would definitely go back and also recommend it to anyone!

OK, it's cheap enough, but that's about it. The service is just average, and the food is not good. The tapas were very remote from their Spanish counterparts, in fact I spent 3 months in Spain and never had such tapas. They were really reduced-size portions of food you would find in any average pub.

I went here for a quick dinner last night and wasn't all that impressed. Although the staff are friendly and the decor is fun the food lets the place down. We had the calamari, with soft and squishy batter (not very appetising!) and the potatoes gratin (mediocre), mushrooms (great flavour) and the beef stew (again, mediocre). Not high on the list of tapa bars but it has a great deal on Mon, Tues and Weds that 2 tapas are 13 euro.

Was disappointed the evening that we ate in Havana, as I had heard many great things about it. We ordered 4 plates of Tapas between 2 of us, but only 3 arrived. We told our very helpful server about the missing plate & assumed he would bring it out when it was ready. Portions were very small & not that tasty. I had a nice glass of sangria & my boyfriend a beer. We were charged for 4 plates upon leaving & had to argue with the girl on the till because she didn't believe we only had received 3. Would be reluctant to return.

The place is not too bad to go if you're not that hungry and just want to chill out with friends. Menu is simple enough but appetising, the lamb is one of the best. The wines are not the greatest but at least they now have wine buckets to keep the white wine chilled. Have been here a good few times for something quick to eat and will return again but they really need to train their staff a lot more.

Why did they open this second outlet? Ate here by mistake on the way back from the Movies, it was horrid. We ordered the pinchos and another mixed plate - the bits that were meant to be cold weren't cold and those that were hot were barely lukewarm. Service was poor also (as it routinely is at the Grantham St location). It shouldn't be such an effort to serve a bottle of wine and 2 plates of food. Speaking of which, our red wine was very, very warm so much so that it was difficult to drink.

When you pass this place it always looks busy and after having dined there last Thursday I've no idea why. It would do better just to concentrate on the drinks; we had the house red which was a good standard wine. We ordered the Plato Mixto for two; a mixture of potato, mushrooms, chicken skewers and meatballs. It was really quite small and kind of greasy and the chicken was dried out and leathery. We also got the Tiger prawns with chickpeas, which were ok but I didn't see a single chickpea anywhere. I just wouldn't recommend this place; the selection is poor and not very authentic. On the upside our waiter was really nice and good at his job

For some reason I expected this place to have improved since my visit last year: maybe because it is still open and always seems quite busy. However, my friend and I shared a disappointing bottle of red wine there, waited a long time for our food, then when it came the chicken skewers were raw inside! We got very little by way of an apology and had to wait again for some fresh ones. The peanut sauce that accompanied them was just strange - I have no idea how to describe it! If you want decent tapas n nicer surroundings head to the Market Bar...

I had heard great things about this place and was quite disappointed. The servings were small enough for tapas (I’ve been to Spain and had tapas there - they are bigger and cheaper!) and very greasy. I had the chicken skewers, which were burned on the outside, and I was a little afraid of eating through, as they seemed quite pink inside. The service was also a little strange - our order was taken twice. Wouldn’t be in any rush to go back.

I've been here a few times with friends, and each time I keep thinking it'll get better. It's always packed, and I'm not sure why. The food can be very greasy and the portions are small. If you just want some snacks to go with your drinks then you'll be fine, but if you're starving go somewhere else or you could end up spending a fortune! A jug of sangria seems like good value, but you probably won't taste much alcohol! Service is very hit and miss, depending on who's serving you that night.

Fine for a casual bite. Food is not memorable. We found the potato gratin and lentil/chorizo stew quite tasty. The bread and dips is a joke, bread not fresh and tiny portions of dip. Nice place and atmosphere but definitely doesn't rate in the tapas world!

This could very well be one of the worst dining experiences of my life. We had the chorizo in red wine but was more like rubber tyre in greasy water. The prawns were not fresh and also came with grease dressing and then to top things off the bill came to 50 euro. I would not recommend this place to somebody I didn't like.

I went to Havana with two friends recently, and I have to say that it was a dreadful dining experience. The food was unenjoyable, to be honest the type of thing that you would throw together at home -bland and flavourless. The servings were tiny. Between us we ordered 10 dishes and I had to buy some crisps on the way home because I was so hungry. The staff are SO rude - when I asked for a fresh serviette (after I had wiped water up with my own) the waitress sighed like I was an inconvenience. Rather stay at home than go here.

I've only been here once and I wasn't impressed enough to go back, which says a lot because I really love tapas...The service was slow, the food forgettable and the atmosphere not great.

I ate here recently and it was quite average. I enjoyed my meal and the price wasn't bad but the menu choice isn't particularly exiting. I go to Spain frequently and the tapas bars there blow this out of water, but that's to be expected. The place has a colourful decoration and Cuban-style music lights up the mood. The staff are fairly quiet but perfectly adequate. There are decent lunch offers on during the day and I enjoyed my fried chorizo, but at the end of the day the place is simply OK. There are quite a few poor reviews here criticizing the food but I really can't say I found it that bad, just average.

Great for going with a group and order several different things you can share. The service was nice and quick, the place itself is funky and hip, and I found no flaws with the food (being as critical with all things Spanish abroad as I usually am). Loved the calamares, and found the potato gratin delicious. The sangria looked slightly suspicious, I have to say, but fairly good value! And the banoffi was oh-so-yummy... Will definitely be back.

I went to Havana for a quick bite before going to the Olympia. Being a huge fan of tapas I was terribly disappointed. I don't have one good thing to say about the place. The food tasted like it was re-heat in a microwave. The waitress was practically rude and obviously very well trained in the art of avoiding eye contact. I ordered breads and nachos to start and I got a few crusts of bread and stale tayto, I decided not to say anything in the hope that maybe things would improve. Our food arrived and still no sign of the wine. Had to ask for it twice! Calamara was like tasteless rubber, paella was bland, even the chorizo was poor. After all that we had to go up to the counter to pay as the waitress avoided us despite numerous attempts to get her attention! All in all the only positive thing I could say about the place is that the wine was nice when it did arrive...

While I am a huge fan of the Havana off Camden St. I was hugely disappointed with the food on George St. The chorizo arrived dripping in grease and it was cold, dry and very chewy. It was accompanied by flavourless fried potato cubes. It really put me off going back.

I've gone to Havanas many times and every time I get a little more disillusioned. The last straw was ordering two plates of fried calamares for €8.90 each and being served two tiny anaemic portions that when combined would barely have constituted a single portion. The place is overpriced and there are better value, tastier tapas bars in town.

Have to say I love going here, though it is maybe for the atmosphere and a quick snack rather than anything else. The decor is a nice mish-mash, and very casual and funky. There's a lovely spot in the window where you can sit and flick through their mini-library of books and mags. The food... whilst not the best is certainly OK. There's a lovely potato dish that is hugely filling and cheap, there are quite nice plates of meats/cheeses. You do have to ask for bread it seems, as otherwise you just get crackers. Would definitely recommend going here for something casual, and to meet friends, but maybe not for a full on meal.

Ate here a while back with two others and it is very over priced and the service is dreadful. The food is reasonable quality but not as good as other Tapas restaurants I've been in. Subsequently, I haven't been back.

Went here a few months ago with three friends, normally adore Tapas but was very disappointed here. The food wasn’t that nice to be honest and the restaurant smelt like toilets, the service was okay but not very friendly. I did find it very expensive for what we actually got. The Market Bar is much better.

Greasy and overpriced. The menu is very limited, the food itself is greasy and almost tastes reheated. The atmosphere is nice though and at night it’s filled with spontaneous salsa dancers!

Great little spot, I’ve been to the one on Grantham Street and the food was great – I love Tapas, food wasn’t at all over priced they do a great mid week deal. Waitress was awful never in all my life have I experienced anything like it.

The atmosphere is nice, but the food is woeful. I was there with a party of three and we split dishes. We started with a large carafe of sangria which was delicious. After that we had a selection of dips. They forgot the humus and didn't give us enough bread, or nachos. This was only the start. The tiger prawn dish is overcooked and under presented, served with soggy chickpeas. The "Spanish meatballs" were dry and under sauced, the most disgraceful thing was that the potatoes that accompanied it which were microwaved, or certainly tasted that way. There were a few other oily dishes without panache that I’ve forgotten about. Which is surprising considering the limited menu. Luckily I was in good company and the sangria did the job by the time we left, so not all was lost. I would imagine it would be a nice place to sit at the window and have a mojito, but eat there at your peril - especially when there are other great alternatives for the same price.

Visited Havana for the first time last night, liked the atmosphere and the sangria, but not too taken on the food. Would agree that it was overpriced for the portion size and the dry meatballs and microwaved potatoes were definitely not impressive.

Nice little restaurant. I love tapas, as they are a real taste sensation without filling you up too much. Myself and a friend had an early bird vegetarian tapas plate here recently. It was very nice. The restaurant isn't exactly wild and exciting but a good little place to pop into when you just want a few nibbles before starting your night proper.

Was here on Saturday with a big group. Food was quite good and there was a nice atmosphere but the very rude waitress and slow service really let the place down. We had to continually repeat orders and trying to grab her was a difficult task. She even made us feel guilty for ordering more food or drink!!! Very good value though!

My husband took me there last week, as he heard some good things regarding Havana from some friends at work. I must say, I was not impressed. We had our lunch there - the place was almost empty, but the staff seemed really disinterested in our presence when we walked in. Our waitress wasn't outwardly rude, but you could see that she couldn't wait to take our order so she could go back at playing darts with the rest of the staff in the corner. The food was ok, but it had the appearance that it was just flung onto the plate in haste, without much care to taste or detail. The next time I feel like some tapas, I would rather buy a ticket to Spain.

For me this Havana is inferior to the original outlet on Grantham St. Neither the food nor the atmosphere are of the same standard. It does tend to be busier than the other bar but it's worth walking 10 mins up the road to Grantham St. to experience the older Havana.

Had dinner here once, wasn't impressed. They didn't have what I ordered so I ended up with a lentil stew which I did not like. I think everyone else in the group enjoyed their's but I left feeling hungry. It was also VERY squashy.

Went to Havana's on Georges st on the 29th of October - Not great....not even good! The food was edible, but the waitress didn't even wipe down the table before she put our food down - there were remnants of the previous customers diet on it.....surely this is the absolute basics!

Food is tasty and excellent value for money but after my last experience in Havana I would never eat there again- the waitress did not even smile once and practically threw the plates of food at us- we asked to be seated at the back of the restaurant away from the door but the waitress in question told us that the back of the restaurant was closed!!

The vegetarian tapas plate is a good deal and perfect for lunch. (They have a non-vegetarian one too) The service can be a bit slow, especially if you are upstairs and away from the waiter's eye. But I like this place, has a nice eclectic atmosphere and good food.
