Have been there for a few times for a quick meal after shopping. Service is a bit slow, but maybe because we always sit down outside. Regarding food- have tried beef burgers - they are very good and chips with dips are superb and Falafela burgers - they are absolutely delicious! Also had there Chicken Chilly salad, loved it, especially pine nuts on top. Overall experience we had there was great. Would recommend it for quick meal, especially for men.

I return time and time again to GBK and am never dissatisfied. Great selection of burgers with really fresh and delicious toppings. I must say I tend to always go for the same blue cheese burger as it is just scrumptious. I have tried the falafel, Cajun and avocado and have never been disappointed. Also the onion rings are sooooo good especially with the slightly lemony garlic sauce!! Would sell my soul for the recipe!! GBK manages to find that perfect balance between fast food and gourmet- great if you're in a rush and unwilling to spend a fortune yet always delivers on quality and service. There's also the great deal of a choice of classic, falafel or chicken burger with fries and drink for a reasonable €10. Not bad I say!

Went for a quick early evening bite here with a Friend on a Quiet Tuesday evening in town. Very nice restaurant inside and comfortable seating good atmosphere etc. Staff were brilliant and very friendly. We both had the special of 9.99 Euro for Burger Fries and a drink. There was a 2 Euro supplement for alcoholic drinks, they have a good selection of New Zealand beer as well. I had the cheese burger which was very tasty, came with a very decent size portion of fries topped with sea salt and thyme. My friend had the classic burger which was similarly very good, def would head back and a good few restaurants around the city as well as think they are a chain.

Wanted a quick bite before heading to a gig. Have eaten in Gourmet Burger before but never this one. Atmosphere was OK, it was still early so there were not too many full tables. We stupidly picked a table near the door so any time it opened we caught the chilly breeze. Our own fault though. I went for the Blue Cheese burger while my girlfriend had the Classic. As is often the case when I order a burger I am a little disappointed once I taste it, this was unfortunately the case here also. There was not a very strong flavour from the beef, it was put together well and presented nicely but was just lacking some flavour. OK for quick grub but a little pricey.

We came here for an Easter Sunday lunch. We both has burgers without the buns. It left us feeling less full, which was exactly what we needed. I had the lamb burger with a mint chutney. It was very good. My partner had a mexican type burger, I remember there was sour cream and salsa etc. We shared a reasonably priced bottle of Rose. What made this better was a 2 for 1 special deal in an unnamed Sunday paper so it was great value too.

Admittedly, the quality of this burger joint has plummeted since its high point during the first year of business. Ironically, when the prices went up, the taste went down. I still go here sometimes for the greek lamb burger which remains the best on the menu, but I generally wait until the burgers are 5€ because they aren't worth much more than that anymore.

Went here over Christmas, town was really busy so we were given a seat in the upstairs section of the restaurant. I love GBK for their selection of veggie burgers. This was actually my first visit to GBK (have returned several times since) and in hindsight it wasn't the best. I ordered the Aubergine and goats cheese burger and I wouldn't order it again - it's not the most tasty of their veggie burgers, I'd recommend the Veggie & camembert or the Falafal burgers in particular. The chips are really good. We were seated beside a window with a strong draught coming in, it was really cold as it was in the depths of winter.

I met 2 friends for dinner here the other night. I had the bacon and cheese burger which was delightful. I can't remember what the other 2 had but there wasnt a scap left on their plates. We had 2 fries and 1 portion of onion rings which were gorgeous. The meal came to €53 which included drinks also.Service was excellent and great value.

I went here on a friday night with a group of friends. The place got quickly packed after we arrived. Service was a bit slow and we had to wait a bit before someone came to take our order. I ordered an oreo milkshake which was creamy and had pieces of cookies. I also had a moroccan salad which was couscous, cos lettuce, grilled chicken and served with olive oil dressing and lemon. The others ordered Habanero burgers and the avocado and bacon burgers. As usual everyone enjoy the meal and it as unbelievably good value with the 2 for 1 voucher.

Went here with 2 for 1 vouchers from pigsback. We shared a portion of onion rings as a starter and I had the puy lentil burger, 'small size', which was quite big, don't know how a big one would be! I had the oreo milkshake as well, it was very good. I had plenty of choice as a vegetarian which is always a plus! It was very good value even without the vouchers, would definitely go there again!

Went with my boyfriend, and had a tewo for one offer. I got the falafel, and he got the cajun beef burger, both delicious. We sat outside, and there was a great atmosphere along the street. The service was a little slow, but then again they were very busy. Will definatley go again, very tasty.

This particular GBK is all about location for me, on the square on South William Street it's like being away on holidays it's so bustling and atmospheric. The food is great value, their lunch deal is great. Went here the other night for dinner however and had a lovely meal of a falafel burger and chips. Their chips are always perfectly cooked and their veggie options are great. Definitely worth a visit.

This wasn't my first time to gbk but for some reason this time it just didn't go well. We came in around 8.30 and the place was nice and quiet but it still took the waitress ages to take our order. We ordered a burger with no salad and another with no bun and then a few sauces etc. For some reason 1 girl took our order 1 brought our drinks and another brought our food? When the burgers came they were yummy as usual but the one that wasn't supposed to have no salad had salad but no sauce? and the one that was supposed to be without a bun had a bun. Then for some reason the chilli mayo wasn't the same as usual, it's normally really creamy and not too spicy but this was a deep colour and really strong so it might have been the wrong one also. I think the problem wouldn't have happened had the same girl brought our food that took our order. the food was tastey as uaual but the service was a bit of a let down

A group event was organised for here with about 25 people. Unfortunately the staff cannot accomodate a group this large and, despite them being friendly and trying their best, the service really let the place down. The food was quite nice but starters and mains were arriving out at the same time for some people with long delays for others. I have been to the GBK on Sth Anne St with just one other person and found the food very nice and service friendly as it was in South William St. However for large groups I just wouldnt recommend it.

It is a great place for burgers. Now they only do burgers and I think people need to have that in mind when they go there. The different burger options are great. I like the decoration there because it doesn’t look just like a burger place, there is more class to it. The portions are generous so be really hungry when going there. It is great before going out for the night or the day after.

Visited this restaurant recently for the second time and was very impressed with the quality of the food. I had the small version of the lentil and curry burger and my companion had the larger version of the goats cheese and aubergine burger. Both were excellent. The chips were a good size portion but could be improved. The service was very good considering it was a Saterday night and the restaurant was almost packed. Will definitely be back again, particular as they have a very good offer of €5 per burger before 5pm.

Visited with a friend whilst out on a Saturday doing some Christmas shopping. Got seated straight away and very friendly staff. Had heard about this place and have to say all reviews are correct, it is yummy. Got the cheese burger with wedges and dip, service very good and staff continually coming to check everything ok (but not in an annoying way). I asked staff where they purchased their tomato ketchup dispencers and thought they were nice and the waiter went off and brought me back one in a bag to keep. How nice!

Been here once or twice with friends. This particular visit was very enjoyable! The place was busy and atmosphere was great. My food was devine! i had the satay burger. It was absolutely gorgeous! Most likely have it again! The chips were nice and chunky too. Prices were fair. Service was quite slow, probably because it was busy that day but our waiter also messed up our change a number of times. Other than that our meal was enjoyed.

I had my lunch there about a month ago. The place was pretty busy so it took time to get the attention of the waiters. Burger 5 euro + fries for around 3 euro, is a good deal. Burgers are delicious.

I was delightfully pleased to see the €5 deal back on today when I went there for lunch. The service was very attentive, as always, and there was a great buzz in the place. The burgers are exaclty the same as at full price, so I know where i'm going to have my lunches for the next while!

This place has nearly become a regular diner for me and friends.Sadly the last time I went they had stopped having the fiver promotion. They have replaced it with a tenner-burger and side dish.Burgers are pretty much unchanged. They have a vast selection.Love their chicken and camembert burger with cranberry relish...simply yum.such comfort food you can count on..

Went here Saturday night. Had Cajun burger and fries. they were tasty and very filling, and the garlic mayo was smashing. I only wish my friends had not also ordered mayo because it was quite pricey and we had way too much. Originally we were served by a pleasant waitress, but my main beef was with a waiter who showed a total lack of interest in working there. They ignored my requests for attention and when we did finally order some more beers they plonked them on the edge of the table and shuffled off. When collecting the bill he dropped coins on the floor and when bringing the receipt he dropped complimentary chocolates on the floor and didn't even pcik them up! So all in all a grand bit of food, but an uninterested waiter meant no tip.

I have visited GBK twice during lunch time and I must say that it was always very busy. Both times I had to wait 20 min for burger. looks like there is not enough staff for busy periods. however manager and staff were friendly and food itself very tasty overall it is great place to have decent burger for really reasonable price!

Lovely Burgers, great value on the any burger for €5.00 offer. unfortunately last time we went it was so busy we waited nearly hour for our food, and they even refused service to some people. The service isn't amazing, but if you're hungry and they look busy maybe ask how long first....

Five euro burger deal reeled me in. Such good value, it seriously keeps you full for the whole day! The kiwi burger is sensational. Pineapple, egg, beetroot and cheese on a burger- what a combination. Only complaint was the service was slow, no one took our order for 15 minutes.

Walking by here yesterday at 4:45 after some Christmas shopping... well it would be rude not to pop in when the burgers were still only a fiver each. The service seemed to be quicker than that of the GBK in Temple Bar. And this despite the fact that it was much busier here. Anyway, my girlfriend could not bring herself to try something new as she was so happy with the Jamaican burger she had in Temple Bar. I tried a bit and can fully understand why she played the same cards! I went for the Cheeseburger. It was perfect really. Everything I was expecting and more. Still, I don't think I'd pay full price for a burger here but as long as the five euro deal lasts, get down here before 5pm.

€5 for a burger as a lunch time special and you really can't complain too much. Service is effecient although nothing special. When I cam in at 12 it was quiet but in 30 mins its was packed - so not relaxing. Minor issues given the price of the food, would think twice if it was full price.

arrived about 7pm - quite busy & we were left standing at the door waiting. Nobody came over to tell us we would be waiting or a table would be available soon. Ordered cheese bacon burger with fries & garlic mayonaisse - €1.50 for mayonaisse - such a rip off - they should give for free - it was disgusting anyway - looked like it had a skin growing on top! Didn't have to wait too long for food but wasn't great. Burger bun was burnt & soggy - chips weren't the best. We had to ask for salt & ketchup - none on our table - salt we got then was damp & wouldn't work! I don't think this place is good value at all - €28 for 2 burgers & 1 chips (no drinks)! won't be going back

Pretty busy spot, left waiting for food and had to ask twice for it. Didnt receive our full order and ask three more times just gave up in the end and told the waitress at the till we didnt get our full order she was less than helpful and extremely rude. Food is nice but not a good idea to go at lunch time because you've got about ten minutes to eat the food. Desperately needs more (and polite) staff and for a place that seems to be thriving this doesnt seem like a big ask.

I visited Gourmet Burger for lunch with a friend. I don't like the idea of a "Gourmet" burger in itself, it sounds pretentious to me and I find the atmosphere in the place irritating at times. There are often people sitting outside who like the sound of their own voices a bit too much. Although, this doesn't really bring a place down if the food is good, and I thought it was very nice. Outside of the five euro before 5pm deal, it is expensive. But the lunch deal is obviously very good value. I had the classic beef burger, it was very tasty. The beef was good quality, the bun was nicely toasted and the toppings were fresh. I ordered it without relish because I found it a bit sickening the last time I had it , but thats personal preference. The onion rings are good, you get loads and they're very crunchy and tasty. Overall, a very nice burger.

I will return to this good value restaurant again. While wandering around Dublin looking for somewhere to eeat on my own I came across this place in the former Cooke's restaurant. The service impressed from the start as the waiter, before taking my order informed me that all burgers were medium cooked and if I wanted well done to let the wait staff know- he also let me know that burgers toook 15 minutes which was nice to know. I ordered the Lamb Burger and it was well presented- towering on the plate and the chips on the side were excellent. I had a New Zeland beer which was new to me and found the wait staff friendly and welcoming and they made sure- as they seemed to do with all customers- to say goodbye and thanks as I left. A great place to eeat and very good value.

I've eaten here 3 times, I ordered olives for a starter every time, and they were out of them every single time. They should really take them off the menu, or take the 2 minutes walk to the shops to get some. It was disappointing. I do think the food is good solid nosh, and that's why I keep going back. I'd recommend the veggie puy lentil burger, it's v tasty. The chips are great too and I love the big tomatos they give with the ketchup in them. They understand the importance of having enough ketchup with your burger and chips. My boyfriend doesn't agree and has sworn off the place, it won't stop me though!

I have Gourmet Burger fatigue even though this was my first visit to one of these places. You see I dont know the difference between these places. Are they the same? Kitchen, Company, please explain someone. Regardless, I paid this place a lunchtime visit on what was a very busy Friday for them and have to say that I will probably be back, to this place, at least. Location is great for parking shopping and eating and it's a great meeting point, especially if there are smokers in your party. I went for the 10 euro deal which was a substantial meal and great value. They even swapped the soft drink for a coffee on request, but that is as far as the good service comments from me will go! After asking a waitress for her reccommendations, I was left none the wiser on what was an all favourite so I went for the falafal, if only because it was my first time trying food by that name. Now the chips were a very large portion but I was in carb hell as the bread on the burger was too much...way too much...but did not stop me from finishing it nevertheless. As far as taste goes - well it's a burger, a notch above fast food burgers with a regular restaurant cost but call a spade a spade. This is a burger. Not tasteless, not yummy, not disappointing, not great. Get the drift? Oh, and it's 10 euro - did i say that! Hungry men will love this place, smokers will love this place and me - well it's allright in a good way but the atmosophere and location are fantastic. One final point - it's busy - super busy - so be prepared to que for a table.

Popped in for a quick bite after a day shopping..very disappointed. Over-priced for the quality of food. Not a patch on the burger place in Dun Laoighre or indeed the other well known one on Camden St. The chicken burger is breaded...tasted of nothing, miserable fillings, no satisfaction - just not good enough. Offered a refill and was charged for it!! "Pump" coke should be refilled for free surely? Anyway won't be going there again. Similar experience in the Liffey Valley one..Much better options in the area.

The burgers here in GBK are fairly tasty, if not quite as good as some of their competitors in the "gourmet" burger game. I opted for the blue cheese burger, which was a decent size without being too overwhelming, although the blue cheese sauce was rather difficult to detect. The only real problem with this place is the price of the food; charging €10.50 these days for a hamburger that isn't even organic is a bit of a joke, to be honest. It's only a slab of mince with a few trimmings around it, after all. Their onion rings are quite good, though the batter is a bit dry, and their chips are okay, though a bit steep at nearly €4 a portion. Service was good, with pleasant and efficient staff, even though the place was fairly busy. This is a stylish, modern venue with a nice atmosphere in a good location. It's the type of place that would be fine for lunch or some casual dining when you're in town - if they could just get real with their prices.

Amazing falafel burgers!! By far the best place for a veggie burger. Staff are always extremely friendly and helpful. A good place to go because I always know I'll leave satisfied!

I came here for lunch - cheeseburger and chips and a coke all for €10. Great value. Found out afterwards that my lunch contained 1500 calories! Not for those watching their waistlines!!!

Lately burger places seem to be springing out of the ground like mushrooms which I dont mind. A good old burgers always works for me so I took a few friends from abroad that were over for a visit. Nice place. Nice staff too. At first though the Burger seemed to flat for I was expecting a nice thick juicy peace of meat. But after tasting it I have to say the quality seemed very good. Also the sauce was very nice. They had a nice selection of sauces. I had the mexican guacamole. All in all a nice experience although the price for a Burger with fries and a drink was a bit to close to the 20 Euro marker which seemed a bit steep for my taste.

Myself and a friend came here and all I can say is YUM! I love burgers and have to say that these ones are great. I had been to GBK in London and was so pleased to see it in Dublin. My friend and I ended up going for the small burger as didnt think I could fit the bigger ones in. I also got fries with the garlic mayonnaise sauce, they were delicious! It was absolutely packed and the service was still great. Will be going back and this time will be getting one of the large burgers!

Have eaten here on a few occasions in that last few months with friends. Its grand for a casual bite but its pricey enough for what you get. Their chips dont compare with other gourmet burger places in the slightest. Usually the service is alright but the last time we were here we sat outside at the furthest table away from the door (the only table left) and twice I had to get up off my seat to ask for something as the waitress never looked our direction! The burgers are good, which is what youre going for I suppose but under no circumstances would I recommend the hot chocolate! Two of us asked for hot choc and when it came out we were amazed! It came in a tall glass and had the consistancy of what I could only describe as slow & gloopy! It was as if they forgot to add the milk or water to chocolate syrup! It was completely undrinkable. I asked the waitress was this the way its supposed to be and I got a very short Yes. We couldnt drink them & the waitress wasnt the friendliest but she did take the two hot chocs off the bill so fairs fair I guess. Its fine for a bite after a days shopping and Ill probably end up going again but there's a few things that could be very easily improved.

Overpriced for what you get, that's the main crib. I mean, not serving a sider order with the burger? And having to buy a bowl of frozen fries is ridiculous. The burger itself -- I went for the lamb -- was average, piled high with extra bits but you had to wade through a hefty bun before you got to the burger. The house red was rough. My mate had chicken skewers and a side salad -- again, overpriced.

Ate here this evening and have to say worst meal i've ever had. Had the Pesteralla burger and the house salad. The burger was saturated in Pesto and the house salad dressing was extremely acidic. On top of this the recommended New Zealand white wine was awful. Staff were friendly but not enough for me to return. After this encourter and would implore everyone to avoid.

Visited here last friday night - only had to wait around 5 mins for a table which wasn't too bad. Service was friendly and attentive throughout. Enjoyed our burgers and chips - 1 bowl of chips is plenty between as the burgers are so huge. Only complaint is I wish they had a bigger desert menu - although saying that I didn't have room for one anyway! Will be back for sure!

Went there on one of the few hot summers day and couldn't enjoy the atmosphere to the max because there was no seats left outsite. No fault of the restaurant though. Got two lovely burgers with chips and dips. The Burgers were piled up very big and the quality of the beef seemed very high. I ordered my burger "medium" and my girlfriend ordered one "well done" but they came back "well done" and "over done". Only real complaint though. Service was excellent. will go again

I like the burgers. Piled so high they are hard to eat as a sandwich. Want to go back during summer to sit outside. Little pricey.

I have been to the GMB on South Williams Street a few times now, once on a very busy Sunday afternoon (nice weather pre bank holiday) and every time the staff has been friendly and attentive. I prefer this branch of the chain compared to the other one on St Anne’s Street. I particularly enjoy the Avocado – Bacon burger (which is actually Guacamole and not just the sliced Avocado) but all the burgers seem quite good quality, I have never had any problems requesting one of my own creations. I would strongly recommend the Oreo Milkshake if you have room for desert. Far from 5 star dinning but exactly what you expect.

Visited here last night with a friend as we were looking for somewhere we could sit outside and take in the Irish sun while it lasted! We were lucky enough to get an outside seat which was lovely and perfect for people-watching, soaking up the atmosphere and pretending to be European for one of the few days a year the sun splits the sky! The waitress was lovely, no delay in taking our order or in the delivery of the food. I had the Butternut squash burger, and my friend had the Jalapeno burger and we'd recommend each of them. A bit too much lettuce on both but we just took it out. We split side orders of fries (nice, chunky, not too greasy and a decent portion) and onion rings (which were proper onion slices in not too much batter). I'll head back again on another sunny day to try out some more from the menu!

We visited this place at the weekend. The outside seats were in high demand with the sunny weather so we ate inside but it was still pleasant and bright. We had a portion of chips and one of onion rings between us. Both were tasty although the garlic mayo that came with the onion rings had big chunks of garlic in it which was a bit upsetting! We both had the plain chicken burgers and I really wish they would have been edible without having to choose between taking a knife and fork to them or getting hands and face completely messy. Burgers should be able to eaten easily with your hands! Apart from a big dollop of salsa that I didnt really enjoy they were also somewhat bland. That said the staff were pleasant and friendly despite being very busy.

I ate here on the first proper sunny day of the summer. Outside seating was lovely, great for people watching and a lovely happy buzz about. The place was packed and so service was a little hectic but very pleasant. We stayed on for 3 more drinks after our late lunch as we'd searched for a good hour for somewhere to sit outside and having found a place we weren't going to give it up! Despite it being so busy, the staff were more than happy to let us linger. I had the morroccan salad which was very pleasant, nicely cooked tasty cous cous with plenty of chicken and oodles of pine nuts. Yumm. I shared a portion of onion rings too, not a huge serving but nice none the less. A nice place in a great location for a casual bite.

We were really disappointed with this restaurant. My daughter and myself had the falafel burger with hummus and raita. It was impossible to eat. Three tastless ( tasted like packet mix ) falafels were immersed in a mixed gunge of hummus and raita then piled high with lettuce tomato onions ,relish, and bun. The waiter was not at all surprised when we handed back our plates with the food hardly touched. It was 3.75 a glass for orange juice .I would not go near this place again
