Popped in here for a quick bite to eat before the Gaiety. There was a special offer burger, chips and drink for €9.99 which was great value. The burger included in the offer was a plain classic and we had to pay extra for cheese, but it was worth it! Nice tasty meat and gorgeous handcut chips. Service was good and speedy! We enjoyed it but didn't linger as we we're in a rush!

I would estimate that I eat in GBK on South Anne Street at least 3 to 4 times per month. It is, without question, the best burger joint in Dublin. Aside from seriously delicious, perfectly cooked burgers, the staff are brilliant. Always attentive, remember regular customers, and happy to go out of their way to accommodate any special requests. If you're looking for a burger then there is only one place to go!

Called in with friend for dinner on a busy evening, place was pretty full. The staff were not the friendliest really and a tad snappy in manner. The food was as we expected, lovely burgers as usual. Not the kind of place you could sit and chat really as we felt like as soon as we put our coffees down they wanted us to go. Good place for quick bite to eat, reliable.

The sister ("Big T") and I were looking for something quick to eat while en route to the George Michael gig. I suggested Gourmet Burger, having been pleased with the food the last time I was there (about 18 months ago). Around 5.30 on Tuesday evening the place was pretty busy and we were probably the oldest there! We stood at the "wait to be seated" sign while the waiter stood at the counter going through some papers. Instead of coming over to us, he beckoned us in from where he was standing. I wasn't impressed but he was very pleasant once he had guided us to a table. There is a good selection of burgers and you can choose different sizes, which are priced accordingly. You can also opt to have salad instead of a bun with your burger. Big T had a glass of the house red and I had a glass of rose while waiting for our orders, which took more time than they should have to arrive (customers at our neighbouring tables ordered after us but got their meals before us). I enjoyed my blue cheese burger; it was well done (which I prefer) but no one asked us how we wanted our burgers. Big T was very impressed with her classic burger and the side order of chips were pretty good. The two meals and drinks came to about Eu44. The food was good, but there weren't enough waiting staff. The toilets and wash facilities are tiny and could have done with an inspection.

Quick bite to eat here before heading out for Arthurs Day. It was pretty quiet considering it was Thursday evening. Waitress was attentive, pleasant and food served quickly though drinks were a bit slow coming to table. Had the cajun burger (big one) and yummy chinky chips. LOVE the chips! Burger was delicious, maybe a bit too much sauce, but really tasty if just a bit big for my appetite on the night. Good value for decent burger.

Eat under €10! I had a Jamacan burger with giner & mango salsa, it was the best burger I ever had! I think it costed me €6, with no sides. But you can add salad. Contemporary decor and clean looking. It was very busy so service was only okay. The only thing to mention is it probably is not a good place to bring your first date as it is soooo messy to eat the burgers all the sauces came out but it was soooo good!

Went here with afew work friends for lunch. We were shown to our seats eventually. After about sitting there for 10minutes I asked the manager if it was possible to have some menue's!! thought the lunch deal was good value-€10 for a classic burger chips and a drink. Didnt think much of their souces, not very nice at all, I had the blue cheese and it was horrible. the burger was basic, the chunky chips ok. But the staff were just so bad at there job it really anoyed me and took away from entire experience and compeled me to view the food in a bad light also. we were all late going back to work because of their incompentencies, Dont think I will be heading back any time soon. Poor show!

We ate at GBK yesterday and were lucky enough to get a nice seat in the sunshine. I orderd a Chicken burger - the bun with avocado and bacon, the salad and homeslaw were lovely however the bacon had so much grizzle I was unable to eat it. The beer was very tasty and we found that overall it was good value for money, however we thought one particular member of staff was very rude to us and the tourists beside us. We both felt that the staff came across unfriendly and could do with more training in customer service.

The burgers here are divine. They have a massive veggie option menu which is great. I got the portobello mushroom burger which was massive and difficult to eat but really worth it. Lovely relish with rocket on it. It is a juicy burger so your bread bun tends to get a bit soggy. But the feta was a bit too strong for my liking so it was the only thing left on my plate at the end of the meal. In the past I've also got the veggie camembert which I would recommend. All the veggies have been roasted and taste great. The soft mild cheese just melts in your mouth. Mmm. Usually you don't need extra chips with your meal as the burger is filling but the OH got them and I happily chomped away on them. The place itself is tiny but we there for lunch so it didn't bother us too much. There are nice booths up the front which would be nice to sit at. It can be expensive for a burger (over €10 with no chips) but they usually have deals on which are great value. If you haven't tried this place yet but have been meaning to - get down there tomorrow. We ate at lunchtime coz we were going out after work and it totally filled us up into the evening.

I ate here the night before St Patricks day. We were looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful - and we certainly got cheap! It was a bit of a mixed bag. We ordered a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc which was good for the price - and a surprise find in a burger joint! We skipped started and went straight for the mains: Chilli Chicken Salad with a side of Chunky Chips and a burger with Avocado Bacon avocado, streaky bacon, salad, mayonnaise & relish. The salad was really very very good but unfortunately the chips were over done. I didn't send them back as we had waited quite some time for the food. The burger was served very very well done to the point of being dry and overdone. The avacado topping was also very try which I thought odd. The burger was very disappointing. I would return for the salad but not for a burger

In my opinion the best gourmet burger place in town. Their chicken is breaded which is quite unusual and is always juicy and cooked to perfection. Some burger places have the tendency to overcook their chicken which ruins the whole experience. Prices are average for what you're getting. Ingredients taste lovely and fresh and there is a HUGE variety of burgers available. Would recommend the cranberry and camembert one with chicken- delicious!

Visited GBK for lunch to avail of their offer of burger & drink for 9.95. It was really busy and we were seated down the back. I ordered the falafal burger. It was a low-rise burger which is plently big for lunch. The burger was really good, genuinely loved it. They have a very good selection of veggie burgers and I would recommend GBK to anyone who's looking for a veggie option. The chips in GBK are also really good, they sprinkle a herb on top - rosemary I was told, but couldn't identify it myself.

I availed of the €9.99 deal where you could get a classic burger, fries and a small drink. It was a very good deal and the place was very nice, with the staff being very friendly. I would recommend this deal.

Went for a quick bit to eat and opted for the Xmas menu. 3 courses for €15. Couldn't go wrong. Had the breaded chicken pieces with dip to start which was yummy. The xmas burger with turkey, ham and spiced apple which I was a bit unsure about after reading but really enjoyed the burger. Had the Baileys cheescake to finish off. Amazing. I thought this was great value for money. Service was great as always even though the place was very busy. I even saw a waitress offer a woman who was eating on her own a newspaper to read that they had behind the counter which I though was really nice.

Very mixed feelings about this place! Went to the branch on Sth William St and atually left before ordering as the staff were so rude. They're not much better in Sth Anne St at all. Went in for the 9.99 deal at a busy enough lunchtime. We were seated next to the door and it was freezing anytime the door opened. The food took about 25 minutes which is crazy for a medium burger. But it was nice when it came and great value. The chips were WAY too salty, which was unfortunate because other than that they were gorgeous chunky fries. Come for the value and a decent burger, but not for any friendly or quick service.

Decided to pop in here after work with the hubby on a quiet snowy tuesday. We we're greeted by the friendliest and warmest waiter we have been served by in a very long time. It's the second time we have visited this place and upon arrival we we're told about the special €9.99 deal that they are doing (classic, fries and drink) so we opted to go for it considering the value. We also got a few dips to spice it up! Because the restaurant was considerably empty we got our food fairly prompt. Absolutely gorgeous! A friend I work with said that this place was overrated but i couldn't disagree more. Apart from the food being great and at good value, what really impressed me was the service. The young chap was so professional and courteous by making friendly conversation with us throughout our visit, something that you just dont get often in restaurants these days. He looks quite young to run a restaurant but it was obvious from our time there that this guy is head and shoulders above anyone 10 or 20 years older than him in terms of service anyway. Just before our meal he even offered to move us right under the warm air con after another table had left because he overheard me saying to my husband I was freezing. My only criticism would be that the toilets were not sparkling clean but that didn't put me off too much. Will definitely be back in the near future and hope to be served by the same guy. Strongly recommend this place!

Went to this restaurant on a budget and order the chips, burger and drink for €9.99. The food was tasty and the portion size was big enough for a full dinner. Great value with this offer as a drink is included. The atmosphere was quite, its a perfect place for a quick bite to eat, not anything fancy! Would defo return here.

I like to eat here for lunch. It's a bit expensive for dinner considering it's just burgers that are served. They're doing a great deal now where you get a burger, fries, and a soft drink for 9.99. My favorite is their falafel burger. The last couple of times I've been here I've had the same server and she's always pleasant.

I was pleasantly surprised by lunch here last week. A busy Friday but we got a table after 10 minutes. I was amazed to see 4 veggie burgers on the menu all available in two sizes. I had the lentil one and my friend had the falafel one and both were delicious. The chips were substantial and fantastic. And I don't remember the last time I ate so cheaply. My only small criticism is that the waiters can be a bit overbearing and almost Americanesque at times but that's better than being inattentive.

This place is great at lunch time. You have to get there early enough though as it always fills up. Their chicken burger with cammenbert and cranberry is lovely. Generous helping of cammenbert and it is one of the few places that give you breaded chicken burgers. The onion rings are also a nice starter if you have a big apetite! They used to do an offer at lunch time of any burger for €5 which I would like to see back!

It stopped here on a sunday lunch to try the falafel burger. I was meant to try it for a while but never get to it as i keep ordering the habanero every single time. Falafel burger had lots of chunks of falafel, houmous, salad and tomatoes with a sweet relish sauce. It was good. The service was very slow that day but it's still one of the good value eats so i didn't mind the wait.

I went their on a Monday evening recently with a friend. We had a 2 for 1 discount voucher so that determined our choice of restaurant. I have eaten there several times before and have always found service excellent but cannot justify spending so much on a burger so I was delighted to go on a bargain. I had a garlic burger and my friend chose chilli burger. We both had it served with fries. I had a beer and my friend had a large glass of pinot grigo rose. It was an excellent place for a long catch up chat as it was very quiet, probably because it was a Monday night. Service was excellent. We had 2 beers, large pinot grigo, 2 burgers and 2 fries for the grand total of 38 euros including our discount. It was a very enjoyable evening and I'm looking forward to going back when I have another discount voucher, otherwise I just can't justify the spend on a burger!

The glorious sunshine on Saturday probably added to the feel good atmosphere everywhere in town. I had the small garlic mayonnaise burger which was a perfect portion for lunch. My sister's Mexican burger was demolished as quickly. They were delicious, all ingredients tasted so fresh and we got the impression had just been assembled- no wilting lettuce or sogginess in sight. We also enjoyed the onion rings and home slaw. Usually I can't stand onion rings but these seemed less artificial than most and the onions were clearly visible. The homeslaw was just like Irish Mammies would make. The restaurant had a casual, laid back vibe. And the value is excellent. Definitely the place to go when you get a burger craving

I went here for lunch yesterday, we went at half one so missed all the deals that were on. This restaurant does a lot of great deals and even without them, its great value! We had a low rise burger each and a portion of chips and it came to €16 althogether for the two of us. It was a perfect amount of food for lunch. The staff were a bit slow with service but were friendly. We were seated in the corner by the door so the atmosphere where we were wasn't great. Over all I would come back here for the nice food and good value!

Really good burgers! If you're in the mood for a great burger then you really can't go wrong here. There's a great variety of different burgers on the menu and I always have a soft spot for anywhere that has tomato shaped ketchup bottles on the table.

Each one of us that went loved our choices- the aubergine and goats cheese and falafel were really great. Although the selection is limited for the €5 lunch offer, it is well worth the visit even without that. Service was good too. On the heavy side for a weekday lunch, but perfect for weekends.

Stopped here on a sunny Saturday evening for a bite to eat as the outside tables looked inviting. The service was excellent; the waiters were very efficient, good-humoured and attentive. I had the Moroccan salad which was tasty but was improved by the addition of a side of houmous. My partner had the cheese and bacon burger and this was mouth-watering; the meat was perfectly cooked. The burgers here are a real feast. We shared a side of chips with garlic mayo and these too were delicious. To drink I had a glass of Chardonnay which was fresh and chilled; the wines by the glass are on the pricey side. My partner had a beer. The service was fast and we were in no hurry to leave. An excellent choice for a quick and very filling stomach-filler. Top marks to the waiting staff for making it more than the usual fast food experience.

I went here with 5 euro burger vouchers from pigsback. It was a sunny day and we managed to get seats outside which was good. The service was very slow, we were waiting for at least 10 minutes to get the menu. After you order it takes a while for the food to come out too. I got the veggie camembert burger which was delicious and side order of chips and breaded mushrooms both of which were good. The burgers are big and hard to finish tho!

Visited here with a friend recently.Have been to different GBK several times but this was the worst service. They were not that busy but we were left sitting at our table waiting to order for about 20mins. I produced my GBK one third off voucher as soon as I was seated but the waiter knew nothing about the offer and said he would consult the manager but he never came back to our table.I had to ask another waiter to take our order after such a long time waiting and we still had to wait another 5 mins. All staff should be made aware of all vouchers. The tables were dirty and they were definitely under-staffed.The food was fine, I had the lentil burger and my friend had the falafel burger. We both had a small glass of wine each and the bill was reduced by one third as per the voucher I had with me.

came here for lunch with another. my partner had a cheese burger with barbeque sauce and i had a kids cheese burger. We shared chips. Mine was delicious and the blue cheese sauce was amazing that I ordered on the side. May partner loved his burger and the fries but the barbeque sauce he ordered on the side was more like a tomato relish which was disappointing. Service was fairly quick but very friendly. It was fairly empty but we had a good time and will definitely go back.

Came here on a very busy Paddy's day but wasn't long waiting for a table. We were very pleased with what we got and they didn't seem to be rushing us to get the table back. Good value for a very tasty burger!

I went here on Valentines day. It was a nice enough, casual place. The food hit the spot. Filling and tasty. I had the portabello mushroom burger which was good for vegetarians, and my date had the regular burger. The presentation is very good, especially when it came to the onion rings. My only complaint is that the food is too greasy. I love take-out as much as the next person but sometimes too much grease is just too much. It took away from the delicious meal, but if hungry, I would come here again, just be a little more aware.

Took advantage of the €5 burger deal at lunchtime with a friend from work. The quality was great and the price applies to any burger on the menu. we also shared a bowl of chips on the side which were really nice. The place was really busy but there was a nice buzz. We were however, left waiting for our food for a bit longer than we would have liked and they were very slow with the bill so we had to get up to pay for it ourselves to get back to work on time. I'd still go back though, and maybe go 15 minutes earlier to avoid some of the rush.

8 euro for a burger and fries and a soft drink... you really cant go wrong, the burgers are a generous size with many choices of fillings..although some understandably cost extra. The fries are good and thick too, also they have really cool ketchup dispensers. we sat outside which was a mistake as it was quite windy that day but were offered a seat inside before and during our meal.the service was excellent and the atmosphere was good too.

6 of us came here on a saturday afternoon. Was busy but we were luckily able to get a seat as another large party was leaving. Its small in there but its nice. We were sitting by the door, which got a bit cold from time to time, but we knew this would happen when we sat down. Food was lovely. Im not the biggest burger person but i really enjoyed this one. They are big enough burgers, and i think there was an option to get a bigger sized one. We also all got chips, which were a big enough portion. i dont think anyone finished both chips and burger. They also provide a range of sauces. Not much of an atmosphere. Service was good as well but the waiter only asked 2 of us how we wanted our burgers cooked. Value was great. €5 deal before 5pm. We all had a burger, chips and a drink and the total meal came to €66. paying €11 each was GREAT value for what we got!

The staff were very nice but not very efficient - they made us wait to clean lots of tables and put us sitting far away from anyone else so the atmosphere seemed lacking. Then they gave us our food with no cutlery then forgot to give us the dips for the food. The food as ever tasted great though and the staff were very nice if we needed anything!

GBK is exactly what it says on the tin - a place that does fantastic gourmet burgers. They are massive as well, so be sure to go with plenty of room in your tummy (or go for the 'not just for kids' smaller burgers if you don't think you've quite enough appetite!). The chunky chips are delicious, as is the smoked chili mayo. Their current specials are great value too, and service is generally attentive and speedy.

Had lunch here on Xmas eve, the burgers are delicious, the staff were friendly, we had an unfortunate seat close to the door so it was freezing anytime anyone came in or out. Felt it was a little pricey for a burger joint as it worked out as €20 each - but we enjoyed the experience over all!

Really great restaurant and such good value for Lunch! 5euro for any burger was amazing! I'm not a vegetarian but both the falafel burger and the aubergine&goats cheese burger were delicious! One of the best bits was getting a free Lindt Lindor chocolate with our bill!! Lovely touch! I'm looking forward to returning!

This is my favorite gourmet burger kitchen- it's the classiest off them all. The temple bar one is too bare and south william st is too small. Service here is great too and burgers come out fast and hot! Had the veggie & camembert one and it was fantastic, so flavoursome. LOVE the 5 euro burgers.

The burgers for a fiver are fantastic value, and definitely make the meal worth it. I wasn't enthused by the chicken satay, but my companion loved his burger. I haven't had a chance to try other burgers yet, but I definitely would come back until I find a favourite! The beer selection is quite nice also, Mac's Gold and Savannah Dry are both tasty

Visited GBK South Anne Street on a Tues evening. We ordered two burgers plus fries & onion rings to share. The burgers were both spot on, the fries and onion rings not so fantastic. Would go again just for the burgers as they are in opinion up there with the best to be had in Dublin.

I had a really god burger here today for just 5 euro but it was somewhat ruined by the rudeness of the waiter! I had ordered a chicken burger and asked for no breadcrumbs. The waiter misunderstood me and gave me no bun instead of no breadcrumbs. A different waiter brought our food and when I explained this to him (in a very nice way) he was really rude. But the food was yummy! Great value!

Absolutely delicious burgers. If you go before 5pm it's also incredible value as all burgers cost €5 which you can't beat. Overpriced if you go afte this time however. The staff are very, very friendly, maybe a bit slow, but this was lunchtime and the queue was out the door. Overall a brilliant place for lunch.

This is the best value-for-money restaurant going imo. I've been here many times, and, now that they have their €5 for every burger before 5pm, I've been going a lot more often recently. The burgers are always great - I invariably go for the Mexican. I find that adding chips makes the meal too filling. The service is casual. The only warning I'll give about this place is the bathroom - it's unisex! I (a male), walked in on two women, who obviously hadn't realised that, adjusting their bras - very embarrassing for all concerned!

It was the offer of the €5 price of the burgers before 5pm that got us in there and we were very pleased we went in. The burgers here are great. I had the falafel burger and it was so yummy. Very tasty and very filling, it was loaded with stuff! My partner had the lamb burger and he thought it that was great too. I took a full star off the Service and this was for the toilets. They had that awful not cleaned regularly smell. Otherwise the service was grand. I took away half a star for the Value rating because I thought the price of a dipping sauce was expensive. But this can be said of a lot of places. The €5 price of burgers before 5pm is definitely good value. I am looking forward to going back here to try other burgers on their menu. Cheap, cheerful and highly recommended, especially before 5pm.

Have been in GBK a few times around town before, but it was a great surprise to find that their burgers are at €5 at lunchtime at the moment, the burgers are the same as usual. Now, that's value for money! Service was attentive, and I like this venue for feeling quite cosy. I'll defo be back at lunchtime for a quick bite.

We had the Sunday lunch with our daughter last week. The place was busy enough and we had to wait to be seated by the service was attentive and polite. The burgers are over priced on the menu but the 2-for-1 offer on Sundays makes up for it. The food was OK, a wide variety on the menu of different burgers seem to refer only to the sauce that they add; the patties and buns are standard. My cajun was spicier that I expected with was a nice surprise, as was the chicken burger that arrived for my daughter. Very tender chicken peices in a light breadcrumb. I would like to the a smaller menu with more variation on the burgers that just different sauces. Overall, reasonable value with the special offer, but not a big draw.

I paid a visit here after a few pints in Kehoe's nearby last Thursday evening. Great location but it was very quiet at the time. Nice atmosphere, briefly shattered by a mountain of falling plates, but quickly restored to that chilled out feeling. Service was good if a little bit slow at times. I went for the Pesterella which was perfectly cooked and so tasty! A tad expensive for a burger but will definitely be going back. P.S. The lunch deal is fantastic!!

Went here last saturday with boyfriend. He loves their burgers but I think their are only worth the €10 offer during the week. I ordered their smaller chicken breast burger for a healthier option but got three deep fried breaded pieces of chicken inside the bun which was not detailed on the menu. Onion rings are nice and chips were ok too. Eating inside at the back of the restaurant is a bit of a dark dingy affair and at €34 lunch bill for two people I wont be back...

Went here with a group of friends for dinner the last day the burgers and salad were great and the chips were lovely the staff were helpful and friendly. However the milk we got with our tea was gone off which can easily happen if not stored right but the took the price of our 4 teas of the bill.so overall a lovely meal with a nice atmosphere.

I went with my wife on Sunday night to this restaurant. Although I am not a big fan of American food, i was nicely surprised. The food was good, though not brilliant, and maybe a little overpriced, but not excessively for a Dublin City Centre Restaurant. This impression is also affected by not being my favourite cuisine. What I liked the most was the overall atmosphere of the place, where you can really have a nice night out. Special mention to the waitresses, that were quite fast, although they seemed pretty busy most of the time; and helpful at all times. To sum up, we recommend this place if you want to enjoy good burgers with a great service.

Went here for lunch. I've been to a few GBKs now, I think the food and service here is the worst. My burger was charred so badly it was frankly inedible. My dining partner's was great, one of the veggie options, he was delighted with it. The chips were sodden with oil. As it was lunchtime, I didn't have time to complain and get a different serving. I like the food at the GBK restaurants in general, but this is the 2nd time I've been to this particular one, and it's not getting a 3rd visit. It gets 3 stars overall because I like the GBK formula, just not this partic GBK particularly.

Went her recently having heard so much about it. The Burgers and chips were lovely the starters were very tasty too. Service ok had to ask a few times for a drink...but it was very busy. The price just feels a bit much for Burgers. Can't fault the food and wouldn't rule out going back..but wont be rushing. I Have heard they do an early evening special which would be a lot more appealing.

Excellent value for a money is the main reason to come here. The burgers are pretty good if not spectacular but the service is great and the location cannot be better. We went for the after-work deal for a tenner and it's impossible to complain about such a nice meal for such a comparatively low price. We had two juicy cheeseburgers each, two fries, two cokes and an onion rings on the side with a selection of tasty dips. Barely finished the whole so we'll be back again.

I went to GBK South Anne street last night and must say I was really impressed.I had the blue cheese which I tought was really tasty although I couldn't finish! My husband had the chilli chicken salad which he said was excellent. The service was exceptional. Our waiter who I think was the manager couldn't do enough for us.He made us feel really important although he was dealing with many other tables. For a good feed after a hard day it is an ideal place to go and would definitley be recommending it to friends due to the quality of food and level of service.Well done guys!!

Second time around. After my first visit when the place opened, i ate here last night with my wife. The place was pretty busy and we were lucky to get seats upstairs. The service is what struck me the most, even with a full restaurant, our waiter was very friendly and seemed to really enjoy his job and made such a lovely atmosphere. I could hear him joking with the table next to ours as well.I ordered the cajun burger and Kebobs which is something new on the menu. The palce is a bit pricy but i was very happy with my meal, chips very good and i still cant get enough of the oreo milkshake.I will be back.

Not usually into burgers but Gourmet Burger Kitchen has converted me! Ate here for the first time last month and have been back again and again. Prices seem expensive at first but the burgers are huge! I have found the staff helpful anytime I've been in and I like the informal relaxed atmosphere the restaurant offers. Try the Mexican burger:)

Was dying to try this for ages but was so disappointed. The burger was lovely absolutely nothing negative to say about it only it wasn't worth the price. In addition if a burger joint cant get chips right then there is something wrong. Staff were lovely, food was overpriced

We ate here late on a Tuesday evening, town was very quiet but there were still crowds around South Anne Street. Gourmet Burger had a few couples dining outside so we said we'd give it a go. The service wasn't as prompt as we would have liked: considering the kitchen was pretty quiet (less than 5 tables occupied and 3 of them already eating) we still had to wait 20-30 minutes for our food to arrive. The burgers looked big, and were well presented (therein lies the trick) but nowhere near as good as the feasts laid out by similar competing establishments. The bun was disproportionately big and made the whole thing seem a bit like money for nothing. A portion of chips arrived and offered barely enough for one of us, nevermind two. An overpriced caricature of a burger and the staff were undeserving of the money considering the poor standard of service.

Burgers here are great. I think it is a little pricy overall but had coupon for buy one get one. That made it very reasonable. Would return.

I have visited the other GBK on South-Williams St a few times and decided to give this one a go, as you would imagine food is more or less exactly the same. Staff was a bit hit and miss. My main complaint was that I ordered the Avocado burger with bacon and cheese and was finally given a burger without avocado! It was change within about 5/10 minutes along with apologies but in general I thought the service could have been better.

Dropped in for a quick bite Friday eve with a few friends. Really good burgers. Huge portions could have shared sides between 2 people. Friendly staff and we did not feel rushed and were left to finish or bottle of wine. Good food.

Dropped in on Monday for a quick bite to eat and ended up staying for nearly 2 hours. Staff were really friendly and service was efficient without making us feel in any way rushed. Loved our burgers and will definitely be back!

I ate there with my mother and our friend for lunch. Staff i must say were friendly but the food was a big let down. I ordered the Aubergine burger and when i touched it water was dripping off the plate! Horrible. My mother ordered the beef burger and didn't even attempt to have a few bites. However our friend had a burger and the coldslaw and loved the coldslaw! if you want a good coldslaw go there, not for proper food

We went to GBK on South William st on St Patrick's day which was very busy and we didn't have a good experience. We went back to the one on South Anne st and have a much better time. The food was lovely.I went for a junior burger and salad which was just the right amount of food.My friend went for the cheese burger with bacon which he really enjoyed. Our waitress was very quick and friendly. We had a baby with us and she was very helpful. Looking forward to going back again.

The burgers are sooo tasty. i think you could nearly eat them without any toppings, they are that good. My friend tried the thai burger and I had the junior one on baby greens with bbq sauce, we shared fries. I think it is a bit on the pricey side but well worth an occasional treat.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen: I went here with two others on Thursday night. It was quite early and it was really busy. The service was particularly bad. We ordered two portions of Cajun chicken to start, followed by two burgers and a salad. We were waiting for ages and when our “starters” eventually arrived, the waiter presented two Cajun burgers. We told him we ordered Cajun chicken as starters to share and he came back with our order receipt which had four burgers, a salad, and two portions of chips…for three people. We then practically got thrown one portion of Cajun chicken and the other arrived half way through our “main course”. The food was actually really nice after all but it didn’t make up for the service that particular night.

This restaurant has everything going for it, but I'm not sure it works.... We (3 of us) at there, three burgers, two sides of chips, one onion rings and one bottle of red wine. Total bill = E62, so yes it's good value. But the actual burger - once you figure that the size of the entire burger does not matter - is fairly mediocre. Onion rings, again, look amazing, but on closer inspection there was just five onion rings in the bowl, and one was inedible as it was the outer skin of the onion and I failed to get my teeth through it... Having to ask for cutlery and napkins is just poor service....and opening the door at 10.20 to freeze us to leave is just rude! Initial impression = super, but slides downhill...

Met with a friend for mid-week lunch and decided to check out GBK as we have an event coming up and thought this might be a suitable place for the guests. Went in after 2pm so the place was not busy, which meant we got the food served to us quite quickly. For burgers, the food here was surprisingly good, as was the service (even if the waiter got a bit confused from time to time). Will be bringing those guests here for sure.

What is the problem these days with getting staff to notice your needs? Me and Him went here for late lunch in town one Saturday and were shown to an alcove designed for a child's tea party - well, it was small. We're not big people, but it was uncomfortable and we had to move. Waiting staff seemed to do their best to avoid taking an order so it was with much hand flailing (brought on my rumbling stomachs) we finally did get things going. Food when it did come was fine (although I'd be more inclined to stick with another couple of the vogue-ish 'real' burger kitchens of the moment) but she did forget the onion rings order, which she promised would be 1 minute (= in reality, 9 mins). Bottom line? Nice-ish food, uncomfortable interior, low on atmosphere, staff lacking a bit. Get the food for take-out?

I was not over impressed with this place. There is a huge selections of burgers but I didn't think they were overpriced. The burgers were only average and the chips were frozen. Not a great atmosphere here either.

I had lunch here last Saturday and was happy to find a pretty decent burger place really close Grafton street area that was a huge step up from a MacDonalds in the ambience, food and service stakes. Pretty good value for money too! On the negative side the place was very busy and the staff had to turn people away at the door, and this not surprizing because the place is cramped and not for the clostrophobic (and a little dark).

These Gourmet Burger places seem to be sprouting up everywhere in Dublin. I guess this is the new recession Dublin. I met a couple of friends here last week and as downstairs was full, we were seated upstairs. The decor is simple but clean. Theer is an extensive burger menu but in the end, two of us chose the Chorizo burger and one of us had the Satay chicken option. They were all very tasty and came with Chips. We ordered dips as well and they were excellent, especially the garlic one. We shared a dessert and had three coffees and along with three drinks, the entire bill came to under €60. I do think this place lacks atmosphere-no music upstairs-but the food is tasty and really excellent value. Our servers were all very pleasant. Wec all left full and happy so I am sure we will return. If you go, do try the Oreo shake-its brilliant!!

First off, I had the Chilli Chicken salad and it was very tasty, all the food we ate at GBK was. My complaint is in relation to the prices in comparison with the same in sterling - a pet peeve. For example, my companion had the Avocado Bacon Burger which cost 11.70 in euro (and didn't even include chips). However on the UK GBK website, the price is £7.95 - a 0.68 exchange rate. At today’s exchange rate, the burger should have cost €8.65. It has been a long while since the rate has been as low as 0.68 and since I know the menu was recently updated to include the above mentioned salad, a new item, why were the prices not updated also? This type of abuse of customers’ wallets puts me off completely!

This was the perfect spot to come after watching the rugby. They have some really good burger combinations, i had the chorizo, rocket and sweet potato. The chicken pieces start comes with a really nice sour cream and sweet chilli sauce dip.Really good.Had a South Africa cider which was interesting, will try again. The service was really good and our waitress gave us the full info at the start, as some of my group who had been here before never got this which is a bit disappointing. Will return again.

Came here for a quick bite as couldn't think of a greasy spoon in the vicinity. Too be honest I would have preferred a chipper style burger.. Had a satay chicken burger which was ok but definitely not worth the price. The plain burger was ok, does what it says on the tin. I've had much nicer chips from similar burger restaurants. The cider was foul - be warned it tastes like vinegar. The service is good and the atmosphere is laid-back and informal. Would only dine here again if the food was on special offer at a lower price.

This was our first visit to GBK. The food is good. Great choice of burgers and build your own section. Lots of choice for vegetarians too. The chips came with a garlic mayo dip - fresh garlic - yummy. The service could be a little bit more attentive. Overall - looking forward to the next visit.

Went for an evening meal and heard a lot about the restaurant from friends, also had been to a similar place in Rathmines which we'd enjoyed immensely so the expectations for this one were high. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to them at all. The place is pretty funky and the atmosphere is nice. The servers are prompt and relatively attentive and explain the experience to you when you are seated. The tables are pretty close together though so expect a bit of a squish. I had the chilli burger and my partner had the barbeque. They were decent but unremarkable. They also say that the burgers are well-done but mine came quite pink. Also, they were quite chilly by the time they got to our table. We were really annoyed by two things specifically. The first is that the prices (10-15 range for a burger) of the burgers do not include chips but are the same price as a full plate (burger, chips and salad) in most other restaurants. The sides (chips/onion rings/etc) are very expensive at about 4 euro each. The second thing is that the desert we ordered (tiramisu) was clearly store bought in a frozen package. It looked and tasted pathetic and the most annoying part is that there's a lovely Italian restaurant next door that likely would have given us a much nicer version for the same price.

I really enjoyed the chorizo and sweet potato burger - a nice change and there are some really fab concoctions on the menu! The service was great and the desserts are very reasonable - I had a fantastic tiramisu for less than €4. I will definately be back!

The burger is good, and €8.50 its what you would expect to get. Not much room between tables but if you want a good burger and chips then its fine. nothing about the place would make me rush back though.

I went here for lunch with friends and was quite disappointed. My chilli burger was tasty, the chips were average. The service is what let the place down most though. The waitress tried to take away my plate when I still had half a burger in my hands! Constantly came over to our table to see if we were finished, and the restaurant wasn't even half full. They took ages getting the bill, and when we finally brought us the bill our change was wrong. There's better places to go in Dublin for a good burger.

Visited the new South Anne Street outlet on Saturday and wasn't really that impressed. The decor is lovely and very clean and modern looking, but I just feel that the ambience was let down by the slow service and I did feel that for very little menu choices you were paying a lot for what you got. It is a new outlet and maybe it needs time to find itself but I can think of a few brilliant other burger joints that I just love.

Arrived here during very wet and cold day and was looking forward to trying it. It began badly though as the waitress was a bit confused where to put us,when she decided we sat down and were offered all sorts of bits to eat when we waited to order, this was annoying, a drink ok but nuts and things while i look at the menu that i have to pay for is just pushy.Anyway ordered a cheese burger which was uneventful and kinda flovourless, and even a bit small for the price. The other half had a chicken thing which look as dry as a bone and she said it was.Chips were as has been said bad bad bad.A poor attempt at a Gourmet Burger place

We visited earlier today for lunch with high expectations having been regulars at London GBK. We were seated quickly upstairs by a friendly waiter. The menu is as it was in London with a few additions. We ordered our 'usuals' - Kiwiburger and Pestorella and were not disappointed. Burgers were well cooked and huge - we didn't finish the chips (only 1 portion needed between 2). Milkshake was a bit of let down - very watery but overall had an enjoyable lunch. We will be back and are very happy to have GBK in Dublin!

Came here for lunch on a Friday. The restaurant was packed...it's clearly popular for a reason. The menu has a wide variety to choose from...even for vegetarians. The interior of the restaurant is lovely and really nice music too. The burgers are humungous...tricky to eat but that is the only complaint as they are so good! The service was fast and friendly too. I will definitely be back!

What can I say other than these guys seem to have copied a few other gourmet burger places that are around. Unfortunatly not very well though. As the last fawning review said the service was too much, and not even with a smile. The chips are awful and very expensive and the burgers are small compared to the other gourmet burger places.Frankly it looks like someone has jumped on the bank wagon without any thought to the food.It may be ok for tourists here but if you know dublin you know not to go here for a Gourmet Burger.

Visited this new branch of GBK this week and was everything I thought it would be. Had visited the restaurants in the UK and must say it is far superior to them. I really like the fact that they have table service which is completely dirfferent to the UK. The interior is nice with loads of wood and the tables aren't too close. You would know that the staff are all brand new because although she was only doing her job the waitress that sat me at my table was a bit in my face. Ordered a cheese burger with extra pineapple. Totally savage burger, really fresh ingredients and the type of meal that you wouldn't want to eat on a first date. The burger which I asked to be well done was perfect and the tomato relish was delish. However, I did eat at 3.30pm and they only had 2/3 tables at the time. Would like to try it when it is busy to compare. Will defo return to this branch and wish them every success. Keep up the good work lads.

We visited the new burger joint in town on Saturday afternoon and were seated in the jam-packed and slightly cramped downstairs section. Decor is minimalist and clean. Although run off their feet, the waiters were absolutely pleasant and professional and we didn't wait long to be served at all. As a vegetarian I was almost in tears at the selection of gorgeous burgers on offer just for me - my husband was practically in a choice-induced panic looking at the extensive list above this. He eventually settled on a Lamb burger, while I chose the Aubergine and Goat's Cheese creation. From previous experience with portion sizes, we shared a bowl of chips! Both were absolutely delicious - the lamb perfectly cooked, the goat's cheese not too pungent, and both massive. Compared to the lesser burger bars around town, this is a real comfort-food treat without breaking the bank.
