Have been here a few times and really wanted to bring a friend for brunch but got here a little bit late so went for lunch instead. Got here just before the lunch rush arrived and got a table for 2 with ease. We went straight for main courses and my friend tried a pizza and I went for pasta. The pizza looked amazing that my friend order but I was disappointed with the pasta. It was a bit plain and I found I was complimenting the pasta with parmasan and pepper to add flavour, not a good sound. Staff were very nice and attentive and I have been here a few times without disappointment so I would consider it again, just a pity about the dish I ordered. PS try the pizza choice or the chicken main course.

Ate here with a friend for a girly catch up. I would really recommend this restaurant for casual dining. We spent quite a few hours chatting there over wine and never once felt prssurised into leaving, which happens so often in restaurants. It helped that it wasnt packed. Food was really nice, we had the garlic bread and bread with the dips and Pizza for mains. Great that you got a choice of Pizza size.

Came on a Tuesday night with my boyfriend and couldn't believe how busy it was! We didn't have a reservation thinking it wouldn't be necessary on a Tues night but the staff were very accommodating and we got seated in 10/15mins. Early Bird menu was super. Great choice and 2 courses for €15. Can't go wrong. Portion sizes are just as generous as a la carte portions I have had here before. Staff are very efficient and polite. The comfy wall chairs are great to relax into. Food is beautiful and very tasty. Can't wait to go back.

I went here for dinner during the week. The place was buzzing but we got a table immediately. The food is very enjoyable but not particularly memorable. I've been here a few times and what makes it really nice is that it's got a really good atmosphere, the food is consistently good and it's good value. A great place to meet friends for food, wine and a natter.

Visited early for an early Sunday meal with some family. Love the wide variety menu here. We ordered the bread balls to start and then pizza and salads for mains. All were lovely and very tasty.

I ordered from the specials menu of two courses for €15. I started off with the chicken wings which were nice enough in themself but I didn't like the accompanying peanut sauce but that's just personal taste. I followed it by a pepperoni pizza which had some goats cheese & sundried tomatoes. It was a bit tasteless to be frank & the taste of the goats cheese didn't come through. I got half it boxed to bring home & had to add loads more toppings to give it some flavour. The service was good though the initial welcome wasn't the warmest. It's a nicely decorated restaurant.

Ate here for the first time with a friend as I had heard about the value for money early bird €15 for two courses. The choices on the menu are excellent and portion size is also very good value for money. The restaurant is staffed by very efficient and friendly staff who are a pleasure to deal with. As value for money goes, this is very good, give it a try. Only one negative to report, how about the extending the early bird for other nights during the week.

Hadn't been to this place in a few years. The menu doesn't seem to have changed much since my last visit. Got the early bird which actually had a fantastic variety to choose from. My friend had the soup to start, and loved it. I had an antipasta platter which was tasty. We bother ordered pizza for our mains which were quite nice. It was bustling and we did have to wait for a table, but only 5 minutes. The service was very prompt and I could not fault them. Definitely a great place to go if on a budget.

Went here on a Sunday afternoon with my 8yr old (who's a fussy eater). I ordered him a pizza off the main menu as it was the same price as the kids menu (I just paid extra for ice cream after). The kids ice cream is in the shape of a clown which makes a change from boring scoops! I also had a pizza which was divine! The staff were overall friendly and attentive apart from one waiter who was more interested in the 2 girls opposite us and ignored me twice when I tried to catch his attention. All in all a positive experience and I would eat here again

I ate here with friends on Wednesday night. The place is always really busy which is a great sign. The food was delicious. We all had the prawn salad. It was reasonably priced and very tasty. The staff were friendly and we are already looking forward to a return visit.

Gotham Cafe has been open for as long as i remember and it's no wonder. It's a great restaurant, the food is always good, it's reasonable and the nicest thing about it is the friendly staff. They always give a great welcome and are cheerful and very polite. I love Gotham!

The service received here was so excellent and made for a very enjoyable pizza meal with my daughter. Comfortably tucked away in the farthest corner, the noise did not impinge on our conversation, as the cafe became busier. Regular pizza's were just the right amount for us both. The 15e menu choice was too limited for deserts, so we skipped it. We shared an Eton dessert and with coffee paid the same as the 15e menu! I will return to get that wonderful service again, it's such an important part of going out to eat.

The service was good, attentive & friendly. The choice of food is also good & had great potential. Great mixtures of ingredients & choice of dishes. But everything was so smothered in (Bad?) mozzerella cheese, we couldnt taste anything. Disappointing for the price paid. Music is a bit loud as well for chatting.

I often eat here with friends and colleagues. The food is always very good and the atmosphere is lively. The service can be a little slow at times but it's generally that the restaurant is very busy and I never mind waiting a couple of extra minutes when the food is so good. The staff are always very courteous and are happy to help in any way they can. It's a great place for an extended lunch or to start a night out and there's never any rush in leaving the table. I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal or experience here which is why I keep going back.

I visited Gotham Cafe on Saturday last for an early meal. The cafe was buzzing when we arrived but very noisy. Because the tables are so close together we felt like the people next to us could hear everything we said. We ordered drinks and had to ask a second time where our drinks were. However, the fool arrived in good time and my Sea Bass was absolutely delicious. I would go there again if I was in town and wanted a meal but would not go for a relaxing evening out. There is much better value out there - the set menu for €15 was extremely limited.

Im a big fan of this place and come here quite a lot. it has lovely seats which get the sun all day. I visited here on Saturday for lunch, and got a lovely outside seat. the wait staff were really attentive and asked if we were happy or wanted the awnings closed etc. We ordered a pizza and a vegetarian cob salad with half a bottle of wine. All of the food was delicious. It was only after we had eaten that we realised that my salad has no avocaodo and the pizza was missing mozzerella and olives. We wondering if we had got someone elses order! none the less the food was delicious.

I had eaten here a few months ago on a Saturday and came across their wonderful 15e 2 course lunch menu. Was in town yesterday and decided to give it a go again. Unusually we didnt have to wait for a table. My friend and I both had the antipasti to start which was lovely, then we both also had pizza's for mains and they were fab! The service is always prompt and efficient and the place is very clean. My biggest surprise was when we recieved the bill - even on their amazing value lunch deal they included the VAT reduction. It is places like this that should be applauded! Well done to the mgt and staff of this establishment.

I went to gotham one friday night with my friends who had been raving about it. When we got there it was very crowded but luckily we had thought of booking a table and they showed us to our table 15 minutes early. At first the staff were very friendly but once we were seated they forgot about us and left us without menus for 20 minutes. When we finally got our menus the choice was great and I quickly chose a small pizza with chicken and sweetcorn and a diet coke. A few minutes after getting our menu they asked us what drinks we wanted, our drinks came promptly but then the staff took off leaving us with our menus for just under half an hour and not letting us order our food. Eventually they came back to us and got our orders but we didn't get our food until an hour later. A staff member came over to us and apologized for our food taking so long and how there were many other customers who'd ordered pizzas. But we had been sitting beside another group who had arrived after us who had gotten there pizzas before us and had left and then there was a different group there who had just started eating there pizzas. When our pizzas arrived over an hour and half after ordering they were gorgeous and filling.

Had lunch in here and thought the food was very good as was the service. We had the mexican platter and the roast veg antipasti platter to share between us and both were delicious. It was also very good value for money considering the sheer range of food and flavours on both platters. The roast veg and dips in particular were lovely. Atmosphere is great and is a very busy centrally located restaurant. Will return again and try their pizzas.

I have been here on numerous occasions. Nice spot for lunch when in and around the Grafton Street area. Food is nice Cafe fare. Good options of sandwiches, salads, pizzas, etc. The food is decent and this is the spot I would recommend to a friend if they were looking to stop for a bite to eat in the south side of the city. Service is always a bit scattered to be honest. It really depends on who you have, lots of the waiters usually have an eye on the next table they can serve when taking your order which is very poor. Food is good value though. Its not very expensive and I do believe you get good value for money. I would have no problem recommending this place.

Really cute little place, perfect for a date or a night out with friends. I went here with my boyfriend, we both got pizza and it was pretty decent. I was more in love with the atmosphere, service and value for money as opposed to the food but you wouldn't go home hungry by any means. The staff were also very friendly. Really enjoyed my night and i'd probably go back for a casual night soon.

Went in on a Tuesday evening and it was very busy, always a good sign. Opted for the evening meal offer with a glass of wine for €20 which was great value. Had the vegetable curry and it was the nicest ever, will go back again just for it. Only downside to the place is that the toilets are up quite steep stairs - though it does go towards working off the food.

Ive been coming here for years! On my last visit, I was saddening to realise the delicious chocolate fudge cake was taken of the menu :( But there is a replacement brownie which is ok. One reason i would recommend this place is for its casual, relaxed atmosphere, tasty food, reasonable price and quick service. I love the bright giant daisies on every table!

after hearing good reviews from friends, i visited here with a friend for dinner. it has a great selection of pizzas however i felt the mains selection was poor. i chose the butternut squash and pumpkin seed linguini, the potion was small and was just above lukewarm. the butternut squash wasn't fully cooked, with some of it cooked to perfecton while other pieces half cooked. my friend ordered a pizza and was given the wrong order so we had to wait a further 10mins for his correct dish. the staff apologized but did not offer any consolation other than this. we both had deserts which weren't anything spectacular. great value, two mains and deserts and a bottle of wine for 50euro but overall a disappointing experience.

I love Gotham and go all the time. The atmosphere is great and buzzing. The food comes quickly and it is delicious. One of my favourite restaurants. The staff are lovely and friendly. I love the set up of Gotham. It's a warm and quirky restaurant with the Rollingstones pictures on the walls. An amazing restaurant that i would recommend everybody to go to.

Visited here for the first time in ages recently having been frequent visitor many moons ago. Good to see that, by and large, standards haven't slipped. The place was practically full when we arrived at 6pm on a Saturday evening. Promptly seated, starters consisted of the excellent house salad and the no so excellent (soggy) goat's cheese crostini. The crostini turned out to be the only downer of the evening as 2 pizzas followed - Union Square and Tribeca. This is where Gotham really excels. Not having been for some time, it was like catching up with old friends. A bottle of Rioja (early €20s) and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc washed everything down and mid €60s represented good value for the lot.

Ate hear during the busy xmas rush. Bit disappointed. Was busy and noisy and service wasn't great. Where we sat was draughty. Anyway I ordered the sausage and mash and husband got the steak. Both arrive at a reasonable time. My two small sausages and mash was a mean portion I thought-usually you get three big sausages in most places. The sausages were ok, nothing special, the gravy was fine, bit bland, while the mash was dry and not very fresh tasting-I left half of it after me and I love mash. His steak was fine but nothing to write home about really. Felt the food was quite overpriced for the quality though others seem to have had a better experience here. Wouldn't hurry back.

This is a very reliable place, it was busy on the day that we visited, but we got a seat within a few minutes. Food was really good, we got breads and dips to start and pizzas for mains. We took our last few slices home for breakfast! It has been over a year since our last visit and I dont think the menu has changed over the years, but its a great spot and people seem to like it a lot.

This place is great. The food was absolutely delish. I had the chicken on ciabatta. The basil and creme fraiche on it was lovely! We had a bottle of Sauvingnon Blanc and it was one of the nicest I've had in a long time. The only bad thing I could say about it was that it was a little cramped. Over all though I would definitely come back. I'd even recommend it to friends.

Hadn't been to Gotham for a while as I don't work in the area now but found myself nearby yesterday. I have to say that it is still as good as ever. The staff are lovely- really nice & friendly. Its busy still in the early evening and a bit cramped in the back bench area but that's part of the what i love about it. The food is still fantastic value. I had what I used always have which is Noho pizza and it was as good as always - thin base plenty of stuff on top well cooked. They have added some new pizzas which I will try next time. Gotham is what it always was- good value, good food, nothing fancy. I will be back very soon as its an oldie but a goodie as another reviewer says. Gotham Rocks! Long Live Gotham!!

Slightly over priced for what it is, the oldies are still the best. Had some doubts about ordering the new items on the menu and the deals seemed a bit desperate. Hustle and bustle made it feel a bit like being in a canteen, maybe came at the wrong time of day..

Was not overly enamoured with this place, perhaps because I had only heard good things about it and expected more. Was very busy and I found it hard to hear friends at the other side of the table. The wait staff weren't friendly, I know they were rushed, but isn't it their job to make you feel welcome. I got a cobb salad that was lacking bacon, the chicken tasted like that rubbery pre-cooked stuff you find packaged in supermarkets, the avocado was scarce and pretty flavourless as was the dressing which should be strong and peppery. My firends ordered a pizza between two as the waiter said it was meant for two, it wasn't. It was tasty but very small and would be suitable for one. Certainly one of the better pizzas you'll find in Dublin, I think they use some fancy oven, think its coal fuelled or something. I reckon its paid for itself by now so its time the pizza price was reduced. It'd be great if they concentrated on pizza and adjusted prices accordingly

Incredibly disappointed with Gotham Cafe. Haven’t been to this place in about 4 years and the standards seem to have dropped dramatically in that time. We ate from the brunch menu – I had the Chicken Ciabatta Sandwich – two small lumps of chicken on a small ciabatta. It was served with baby potatoes which looked and tasted reheated. The only positive with the dish was the sauce which was quite tasty but overall the dish was lazy and incredibly overpriced. My partner had the mushroom bagel – however they "don’t serve it on bagels anymore" so it too was on a hard ciabatta. There was a lump of chicken in her vegetarian dish. The service was friendly and efficient but the food was well below par for the price.

Still the best for Pizza's after all these years - had the Chinatown which was just exceptional. Cannot recommend the place highly enough - and priced really competitiively. The only small negative I have is that it is always so busy that you feel you are dining with strangers as the tables are so close together.

I went here for a late lunch on Saturday after some shopping. It was busy but we got a table straight away. There was a mix of couples and families and the place was buzzing. The staff were friendly and professional upon arrival. We had the veg platter for two to start and the Chargrilled Herbed Chicken on Ciabatta which came with roast baby potatoes and salad. Both of the meals were tasty and well presented and there was very little waiting time. We also had a bottle of wine and a Cola all for less than €52. I couldn't really fault anything in Gotham and would highly reccomend this place to anyone around Grafton st for tasty cheap food with a buzzing atmosphere.

Myself and one other person did the early bird menu here, 2 courses for 15 euros which was a great deal. We also each had drinks with dinner and tea and coffee, and it was only 20 euros per person. The pizza was fantastic, the pasta was nice, and best of all the desserts were huge and lovely. The tables are a bit squashed together but we had a back corner which was nice and the service was great. Highly recommend it!

The starter of a Charcuterie plate between the two of us was the highlight of the meal. The cob salad was boring over ripe avocado, no vinaigrette, no hard boiled eggs, three large slices of very dry chicken and a load mixed lettuce leaves with a dollop of roquefort?? cheese dressing. My partners satay chicken breast was a better dish the rice had a strange taste that he didn't like but the chicken was lovely moist and freshly cooked. Guess we should have stuck with pizza Three glasses of wine. €58.

Went there recently and enjoyed the meal. However, the place was packed and was hard to get a table, as well as attention of the waiter. Otherwise, it's reasonably priced.

I went here recently for lunch with a friend. I love this restaurant and think they do the nicest pizzas. I hadn't been in a while and noticed that they had changed the menu a little. I was disappointed as I thought the old menu was lovely. My friend recommended the crab cakes which she ordered. I decided to go for a pizza. Service was prompt as usual. As always never disappointed with Gotham pizza. However, when I saw my friend's crab cakes I regretted not taking her advice. They looked delicious. She said they tasted as good as they looked and were served with a very generous serving of salad and dressing. I have nothing negative to say at all except I can't wait until I go back again to try the crab cakes.

Popped in for a quick bite on the way home from town on Saturday. We both had salads which were HUGE and a glass of house wine. Lovely casual atmosphere and friendly service. Also great value. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely lunch in here on Saturday! Handy spot for a quick bite if you're shopping on Grafton Street. I had a pizza with sweetcorn, ham and mushroom & it was delicious. The place was hopping! Nice vibe here too.

A large group of us came here after work for dinner. 11 in total. We arrived about 10 minutes early, our table was ready and we were seating no problem. The menu is plentiful and varied. They do have an early bird special but we all ordered from the main menu in the end. We shared some garlic bread which was warm and delicious. For main there was a mixed bag ordered. Pizza (Upper East Side was gorgeous) Vietnamese Beef (tasty) Coconut curry of some sort I was told was very good, sea food salad which was huge and looked amazing! Green Thai Veg curry was a little bland but with some black pepper just about cut it! All in all everyone was happy with their mains. We had 4 bottles of wine between us which went down very well at a reasonable price. Deserts came in the form of chocolate cake, sticky toffee pudding and sorbet. All of which were heavenly! All in all we had a great time and although we had to give the table back at a certain time we didn't feel rushed - the kitchen handled our orders very well. Would definitely go back again.

Cant beat a table outside Gotham Cafe in this weather. Lovely friendly staff, great food & really good value always. They do great salads- esp the chicken caesar & the prawn & mango salad. Pizzas are excellent too- always consistent and thin & crispy base. The only way to eat Pizza.Wine list is one of the best value around- my fav is the New Zealand sauvigon blanc or the Spanish Rose sitting outside on a sunny day when I should be back in work- lifes too short!!

since it was a sunny day on saturday we were on the search for a restaurant with outside seating free and ended up here. the service was great as usual, and I had the harlem pizza which was delicious. We enjoyed the breadball starter as well. Overall my experiences in this restaurant are always great and the sun really helped that day. definitely a place i will keep going to!

Horrible pizza. It was made from bland, cheap ingredients. The meat on the pizza was particularly poor. I rarely struggle to finish a pizza but I found it difficult to eat more than half of mine. Extremely poor - go elsewhere for your pizza in Dublin. The staff were indifferent and rude. Within a minute or two of sitting down at our table we were abruptly asked to order three times. We won't be going back here.

Went here on a sunday afternoon this April. I had been here previously a couple of years ago. Boy were we disappointed. I had the Chicken Ceaser salad, the lettuce was brown at the edges I had to pick through it and cut all the little bad bits of. The chicken consisted of two mini chicken fillets, not the full fillet as i would expect for the €€ price of this dish. The sauce was good but not enough to coat the salad properly. My husband had the special pizza with creme fresh. It was the worst pzza we ever tasted, the creme fresh had saoked through to the base and left it soggy and horrible. Maybe we were unlucky but to get such a classic and popular salad and your advertised pizza special so wrong for the cost of almost 40€ for lunch I won't be returning.

So DISAPPOINTED with my last visit here. I've been to gotham a few times and always really enjoyed their food. But on Sunday we went for the meal deal....2 courses and a bottle of wine for 20€. My boyfriend and I both ordered the spicy wings for starters and the bowery pizza for main (Italian sausage pizza with roasted cherry tomatoes, mozzarella and fontina cheeses and a drizzle of basil pesto). The spicy wings....came out in a creamy satay sauce!! who puts a peanut sauce with chicken wings!? We raised our opinion with the waiter who was very friendly and agreed. Then the pizza came out and was equally horrible. There was no taste off it even whith huge drizzlings of pesto and rubbery sausage. I'm a firm believer that if your not happy with something complain. So I approaced the manager at the end of our meal to express our feelings regards the chicken wings, I was met with the rudest blank expression of "I couldn't care less". I don't think he actually acknowledge what i had said. Mortified we quickly left the cafe. Voting with my feet and avoiding Gotham Cafe in future. Compete wast of money. The only upside is the friendly waiter and tribeca pizza.

Crab cakes, yum. On recommendation of waitress, had sauteed potatoes, lovely. Lots of kids, but it was saturday afternoon, that was probably to be expected. Other dishes had were prawn curry and the special, mexican pizza. Had food envy when that arrived. Service was OK, price was probably a bit too much considering it was the afternoon, but still quite impressed. Will be back

Have always loved this Dublin institution so was really disappointed to discover that the pizzas here are no longer the best in town. Far from it. It was bad enough that the waitress, having taken the wine order from my female companion, then returned and asked me to taste it-how retro! The pizzas weren't a patch on the original-mediocre base, topped by burnt, coagulated cheese. Yuck. Hopefully it was just an off night for what was a great old reliable.

We have eaten here on a number of occasions, hardly ever planned and have never been disappointed. It is a good place to bring friends if you want good food in a nice atmosphere either before or after visiting some of the nearby bars. I think that the Gotham cafe is really about the pizza menu. While some of their other dishes are very good (Linguini, vietnamese beef) I find that I cannot resist a well-cooked pizza and the choice is extensive. The house wine is perfectly good with everything on the menu

I went here a couple of weeks before Christmas with two friends. There was a great friendly atmosphere. I ordered conconut prawns with rice, and it was delicious. I had the Gotham Cheesecake, lemon and vanilla. It was one of the best cheesecakes I have tasted. The service was a bit slow and we were rushed at the end to vacate the table for the next group. Lovely place and I would highly recommend it.

My fiance and I love this place! We share a starter and a pizza so it is very economical. I can never decide which pizza to get because all of their specialty pizzas are lovely! This place is packed all the time so make sure to arrive before you're starving because you may be waiting for a table for 30 minutes.

had lunch here with my brother and we both ordered the spinach and ricotta tortellini with butternut squash sauce. The sauce was very tasty and the tortellini were a tiny bit bland. Having said that Gotham is a great place for a good value quick meal and the staff are very friendly. Also the garlic bread is extremely good.

Went here for a girls Christmas dinner. Food was really really nice. We shared the Oriental Chicken Wings, Mexican Guacamole and the olives between 5 of us. It was all really good. Only thing I would say is you literally get about four olives which is a bit scabby but they were amaxing olives!! We all had pizzas for the mail course. I would definitely recommend their pizzas! The waiting staff were great, our water glasses were never empty and they were very prompt in getting us numerous bottles of wine! A very enjoyable evening!!!

Our manager brought the team here for our annual lunch. The food was delicious an atmosphere good as we didn't feel 2 hours fly by. Only complaint would be our table was right beside the door so we got blasted out of it with cold air every few seconds. Will return but will make sure to get a seat near the back of the restaurant!!!

I've been in here a few times, always drawn back simply by their fantastic crab cakes, even though seafood would not normally appeal to me elsewhere. My main dislike about it is that it seems to be pushing itself more and more as a family-friendly restaurant over the years. While this is great news for those who would like to bring their family out for a meal, it is not so great for everybody. We were lucky enough with our seating on this occassion, but noticed one other unfortunate couple who started their meal in a quiet corner but by half way through their meal were surrounded by sprawling families on either side of them complete with young hyper sugar-filled children.

Had lunch here on Friday, my friend had the butternut squash linguini and I had the herbed chicken sandwich which were both very nice indeed. This is a lovely cafe but very cramped. It was very busy so booking is recommended. We followed up with two coffees and the bill came to €28 which was good value. A little gem.

This is one of my new favourite restaurants! The food is really good, with great attention to detail, there is a great selection of starters, and gourmet pizzas. Moderately sized portions. Prefer the lunch menu than the dinner menu, far better value and loads of choice. The decor of rolling stone magazine covers keeps you entertained if your company doesn't!

After a successful mornings shopping, my mother and I decided to treat my mother to a lovely lunch. I had eaten here before (diner) and I remembered it was fab, so I thought I'd try out the lunch menu. Even though it was cold outside, the two bottles of Heineken, crisply chilled, went down a treat. We both went for the Veg Thai Curry, which was plentiful and delicious. The whole bill came to approx EUR32.00, which was very reasonable. I would highly recommend Gotham for lunch AND diner.

Cool, often busy cafe restaurant with Rolling Stone Magazine covers covering the walls. Pizzas are a must - they're of a high standard, but not too cheap unless taking advantage of the early-bird menu. Service is good, but it can get very busy, so it can take a while to eat here. Overall, a fun eatery with a nice buzz, and the pizzas compare very favourably alongside other Dublin pizzerias.

Gotham is a great place for a relaxed dinner and I have gone regularly enough for a good few years. Recently though I discovered their brunch. Its only served on sundays but thats my only complaint. The menu is great with something for everyone. I really enjoy the mushroom bagel and have been told the breakfast pizza is delicious! Its also great value. I would recommend making a booking as I've seen people being turned away!

I was here for a girly catch up after work on a thursday night - I love gotham cafe and hadn't been in a while. I had the soup to start which was lovely and had lots of bread with it. Then I had the butternut squash linguine - that was a favourite of mine when I had been before and I think ive succumbed to the curse that when you have a dish again its never as nice as you remember! It was still good though. The other girls all loved their starters & mains & it was such good value too. Love this place & have no problem going back.

I went here on a cold and raining day with my friend we were dying for some comfort food and I knew Gotham Cafe wouldnt disappoint. I have the poached eggs with brown soda bread, spinach, bacon and hollandaise sauce with a pot of tea my friend hade the same but with salmon instead of bacon. Eggs were cooked beautifully with a good helping of sauce, crispy bacon and bread. It was a very satisfying meal. Staff were friendly and service was prompt I will be back again for one of their pizzas.

Went here yesterday with some friends. Even though we were early we decided to book a table as the weather was dreadful and didn't want to risk it. When we got there there was only one other table occupied and despite that we were seated right next to the mis en place so it was quite noisy and a lot of traffic around us all the time. We ordered from the early bird menu and it was a decent selection but the service was quite bad. We had two antipastis which were tasty. Especially the goats cheese cream was delish. The other person of our party ordered the chicken wings and although they liked them there were only five of them. We all then had pizzas and they were all nice. Nothing wrong with them but nothing special either. I wouldn't be running back here even though it is quite good value.

I ate here on Saturday afternoon. Nice relaxed atmosphere and the pizza was quite tasty. Reasonably good value- 2 pizzas, 2 cokes and a garlic bread for less than €30. Good spot for a bite to eat in the Grafton street area be it as a break from shopping or before drinks. However there are better pzzarias in Dublin!!!

Poor food and poor service. I won't be going back. We booked a table for 6pm and were told when booking that they needed the table again at 8:30pm. That would have been fine if the service wasn't so slow. We only got our desserts at 8:15, and as soon as they were put on the table the bill followed. We were than asked 2 minutes later if we had "sorted the bill yet". I have no problem with a restaurant needing a table at a certain time, but I wasn't impressed to be rushed out after such slow service. The food wasn't great either. There were 9 of us there, and none of us were over-joyed. It's not very expensive, but you get what you pay for. There are nicer place with better service for the same price or less.

I liked this place a lot, service and atmosphere were great. I think we paid under €80 for two people, three courses each with a bottle of french wine. The food was good....and there were more vegetarian choices than most places....I had a vegetarian thai curry which said mild on the menu and really was mild, too mild for me but maybe they could spice it up for me next time or I would get a pizza.

On an extremely dismal Friday evening we decided to go to Gotham Cafe instead of walking any further and getting soaked in the rain. The restaurant was busy but we were seated quickly. The starters of house salad and antipasti were edible apart from the massive piece of fennel root that was in the salad. What was served up to us for the main course was dreadful. We all ordered the tagietelle with mushrooms and chicken. I asked for mine without the chicken and extra mushrooms. When it arrived at the table, what should have been three pretty identical dishes all looked different. Mine was swimming in sauce, while the two others barely looked like they had any. I like my pasta al dente, but this was clearly undercooked and hard. The 'sauce' tasted like something made from a packet of mushroom soup and was an odd grey colour and the extra mushrooms I got were also not cooked through. The whole thing was extremely flavourless and I had to pile on the pepper, parmesan and salt to try to make it taste of something - which didn't work. One of my companions had asked for hers with extra garlic, and she said that despite this hers was also tasteless. Our plates were cleared away, and while it was obvious from what was left that we had not enjoyed our meal, we were not asked if everything was okay. We were so disappointed with the food and service. We always hear good things about Gotham Cafe, but I guess this could be explained away as an urban legend. I wouldn't think we'd be back there anytime soon.

visited on a saturday afternoon while enjoying a weekend in the city and the place was busy and buzzing. nice atmosphere, friendly staff and a nice lunch. we both went for a panini with chicken which had a lovely flavoured sauce on it, i think mayo mixed with sweet chilli, and it had lovely baby roast potatoes and a salad garnish. only complaint would be that its adverttised as a panini but only had a quarter of a panini bread!!!! even a half would have been nice. was a bit expensive for a panini. had 2 lattes which were served quickly and i assume they single shot their coffees (really need a double shot guys) would definitely go back though, a pleasant overall experience. jk

This was my first visit to this restaurant, on a reccommendation. We had the early bird menu which was ok value for money. Compared to other restaurants in city centre I feel it came up short on choice and taste. For mains we both had a sausage pizza which was very salty however the starter of brucetta was very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful but despite this I don't think I will be rushing back again.

Went there for the first time with a group of 10. Most of us availed of the early bird offer, which was a good offer. The Antipasti Starter was very good, although I've had better houmous. Pizza was very good with a thin crispy base, just the way it's supposed to be. My friends were happy with their salads. Someone said the Curry was very spicy, but good. We were highly disappointed with our waitress. Although the food was delivered fast, our waitress spoiled the experience. E.g. she asked at one end of the table if we'd like wine and when the group discussed this she just walked away after 10sec without coming back. She did the same again when it came to the dessert. It's the least tip I've ever given. She could have made up her lack of waiting skill with a bit of charm. It's a shame, because great service can make up for a lot of things. I would go back though, but make sure that I sit somewhere where she doesn't serve, as the other waiters seemed much more attentive.

Pizza here is really good. Nice thin bases and really authentic Italian taste. Coffee was good too. Although I didn't taste it, the salads on the table opposite looked fantastic! I would recommend this place for the good food, chilled atmosphere and friendly staff.

We have eaten in this restaurant a few times now and this is our first Menupages review. The food here is of excellent quality. The salads, the Pizzas and the pasta are all recommended. It's a nice atmosphere and the service is fine. Price wise, it's good value and it's central to town. I really can't see why this place isn't booked out more often. We will definitely be back again soon.

Tried the new early evening menu here with two others. theres quite a good choice on the menu, two courses for €15. we had the italian antipasti and the oriental chicken wings to start and the italian antiasti was the real winner. the other two girls had harlem pizza which was really nice and i went for the vegetarian yellow curry which was ok. the new york cheese cake for dessert was delicious. very good value meal, although i'd go for a pizza next time.

Have been here twice recently. Hadn't been there for ages before that. V impressed. Not cheap if u don't manage to get early bird but v good dining experience. Very wide & varied range of food. Even though famous for pizza I had gorgeous chicken stir fry. Also had beautiful Italian meat starter for 2. Dessert- chocolate cake - delicious. Will be back for the early bird - great value for fab food. Book, it's always busy.

Although I would only visit Gotham Cafe about once a month, I always leave with a smile on my face, even more so now that the country is in a recession. Making a reservation in advance is always recommended as it can get quite full in from early evening onwards. The food is absolutely out of this world on a consistence basis. I don't know how they do it! The staff and service are also consistant, by that I mean, always friendly, professional and fast. The food is of excellent quality and taste and saying it's value for money is an understatement. The only criticism I would have is although the atmosphere is great, you always seem conscious of the other people on both sides of you as if you're not far off from sitting on their lap. That being said, it's a fabulous dining experience at a fabulous price. Highly Recommended!

Has been many moons since i visited Gotham Cafe. Popped in with pal and enjoyed the €15 special choosing main course and dessert. We both had chicken & mushroom tagatillie followed by lemon-vanilla cheesecake and accompanied by a bottle of red at perfect tempature! Portions were excellent and cheesecake to die for! Service was great, atmosphere relaxed, spacings between tables allowed for very comfortable conversation. Total bill €51 - very good value and will visit again very soon!

Was here again last night with my hubbie. Gotham Cafe is a regular haunt of ours as it has consistently the best food at the right price. Although best known for doing great pizza's we always tend to go for the other main courses on the menu and the specials are always a little bit different. We shared the chicken sticks to start. V. tasty and smothered in the right amount of honey dressing and garlic sauce. I went for my favourite the asian style tiger prawn salad and himself had the special chicken stuffed with cheese and roasted red peppers, wrapped in parma ham and served on a bed of sweet potato mash. All was washed down with a decent (and not too expensive) bottle of white. The only down side is that it's difficult to get a table but staff operate a list so you can pop next door to Kehoe's for a drink and they'll call you when your table is ready. Put simply, Gotham is a Dublin institution.

This restaurant is decidedly not baby friendly. On entering the restaurant off peak (about 3 o'clock) for lunch I was approached by a waiter who said he would have to take my pushchair to the basement and give me a dodgy sounding bassinet/seat to prop on the couch seating. The restaurant was practically empty and there were plenty of spaces which could have accommodated a supervised pushchair. There was no satisfactory explanation beyond the bland "health and safety". I left and won't be returning.

Hi had dinner there on Saturday night as it was recommended by a friend and I have to say that it lived up to all my expectations, the food was great I had a pizza while my pals had the special chicken wrapped in bacon for mains and the chicken & garlic sticks for starters all of which were very tasty and we had a lovely bottle of white wine which again was great value and a great wine. I enjoyed it so much I am booking again for this Friday! Definately worth a visit - linch is really good too! Happy customer!

This is one of two pizza restaurants that I sometimes go to if I am in the city centre. The food is ok, service decent, overall above average. Though the sometimes the pizza toppings are too little for my taste.

Popped in here for a quick lunch today and must say I found the food lovely - I had the Chargrilled Herbed Chicken Ciabatta Sandwich and it was delicious. I agree with previous reviews that it's a bit cramped - not ideal for a meal at night but fine for lunch. I found the waiters were hard to get hold of if you needed anything - took about 10 minutes for us to get another jug of water as they just flew past us. It was busy, but i wasn't very impressed with the service overall.

This is a restaurant that I keep returning to, not once has it disapointed me or any of my friends even on the busiest of days. The interior is comfortable and modern,The food is perfectly portioned, Yesterday I had the chicken ceasar salad, it was excellent ,not drowded in dressing, the lettus was crisp and the smoked chicken gave it a nice twist, the side of foccacia was also scrumptious. My companion had the soho pizza and felf not a crust or crumb on the plate nor did he offer to share a slice. We shared the cheesecake which was lovley. Coffees were very good and served in large cups. Will deffinitly be returning.

On 13th April 2009, 2 of my friends came down from Cork so we choose to have brunch at this café due toseveral recommendations and reviews that this café is a great place for brunch for bank holidays, good food, nice environment and friendly staff. I was at that time on my maternity leave and my baby just turned to 4 months old. So there was I so excited with a baby in a pram expecting to have a good food with my friends and to catch up with news. We expected the service to be polite and helpful. When I entered, a waiter came to the front door in front of all other customers and said “No I can’t accept a pram unless it being put away down the basement”. I can understand his view, because I can see a limited floor space for pram in the cafe, but when he told me that, he wasn’t polite at all. At least an apology for not be able to provide me with the facility would be much appreciated. His face expression was like a bouncer in front of a pub except most bouncer smiles when they greet people. His demeanor made it seems as though that we were wasting his time and wasn’t welcome at all to the café. This is purely lacked any respect for customers. We end up in a near by restaurant which is just around the corner and was greeted with a big smile and kind help to get the pram in. This is what we called “staff friendly environment”. And glad we went there even was granted with a Loyalty Card.

One of a few restaurants in Dublin, where food quality is consistently great - regardless the time of day or busy periods. It might get packed sometimes, while everyone wants a piece :) Definitely gives you a gourmet experience and that New York feel... I will be back for more - great value & love the food!

Went here with a couple of friends for brunch. It was really busy, which is fine, but the tables were really cramped. The also set us at a table designed for 2 but there were 3 of us which made it very difficult to fit everything on when the food EVENTUALLY. We were waiting approx 10 minutes to order and then a further 35 minutes at least for our food. The food was nice but nothing special, don't think I would return.

Went to Gotham for a quick dinner and drinks with a friend one evening. We didn’t have a reservation and didn’t expect to need one, but at 7 on a Wednesday we could not get a table! The hostess was very pleasant, she took my name and number and called us half an hour later to say the table was ready. The menu is excellent, great variety and choice. I chose Thai Vegetable Curry With Rice And Chilli Jam, which was a bit bland, but this is not an Asian or Asian fusion restaurant, my friend had Sausages and Mash which she was very happy with. We had a half bottle of wine- I think more restaurants should offer this. My main complaint was that it was a little crowded and not that comfortable.

Loved It. Had heard about this place a few times and was glad I finally checked it out. Arrived quite late, about 10.30, on a Friday night and it was jammed but the staff were very helpful and only had to wait bout 5-10 minutes for a table. Great atmosphere, quite a funky place. Food was great, we just got pizzas and drinks. Little bit pricey for what it was but thats only a minor complaint. It serves up until midnight whoch makes a great change.Def' worth a visit.

Gotham cafe is always an excellent choice if looking for a quick and affordable bite to eat in town. My personal favourite is the thai vegetable curry. Portions are not on the huge side but as the starters are also scrumptious feel free to indulge. Good wine list as well- I recommend the Guigal Red. Will be visiting again soon.

Been here several times (always in the evening) and I always have the Tiger Prawn salad as it's absolutely divine. Make sure to ask for the dressing on the side though as otherwise it'll come very oily. My partner always gets the pizza (tries different ones each time) and loves every bite. The ambiance is quite good, very busy. Usually you can get a table before 8 but should have a reservation after (even if it's just to call it in an hour ahead of time or so) or you could be waiting a while wandering around Grafton Street area. One hint though - the wait's not so bad when you burrow away across the street for the duration. The service is always friendly and prompt while the food is always hot. The bathrooms are always extremely clean and quite funky. Love the Rolling Stone covers all over the restaurant walls - good talking point if the conversation lags... ie "ye gads do you remember when..." The biggest complaint is the cost - my tiger prawn salad is about 17 euro... This is a treat restaurant only for us.

I haven't been to Gotham Cafe in years but I'm glad to say it is just as good as I remembered! We booked a table and I'm so glad we did - being a Thursday evening, the place was full to capacity and the atmosphere was great. We had 2 starters, a pizza each, some soft drinks and coffee with the bill coming to just under €36! Fantastic value!! The food was delicious and Gotham is probably the only place where I truly enjoy a pizza. I definitely won't leave it so long before returning again!

I was just a little disappointed in Gotham when I pop in on Wednesday night. I normally go for the Pizza when Im there but thought I would try the crab cakes for a change. Yes they were lovely, however they were tiny. Really what I got was a glorified starter. all I was left with was the salad which really wasnt all that great. Too much dressing, very plain. Everything else was great but I should have just stuck to getting a pizza.

my friends were over from England so i decided to try somewhere new, i had to change the booking to 8.15 from 7.30 because we were running late and the waitor said that would be fine, but we ended up waiting half an hour to be seated so were left sitting on a sofa by the toilets. It was a bad start but the food was nice so it made up for it a little and pizzas werent too expensive. i would like to go back again because the menu looks nice but hopefully wont be left waiting next time...

I have been to the Gotham Cafe before and have always enjoyed it. Its been a while though since I was last there so we decided to try it out. We arrived fairly early after work and nabbed the window table which was a bonus. We tried the Goats cheese crostini and the smoked salmon mini-pizza to start and they were both excellent. My friend had the duck pizza- not very traditional but he loved it- and I had the Vietnamese Beef stirfry. This was very tasty but let down a little as the beef was a little greasy. The portion was a very decent size though. we had two coffees to finish and the bill was €55 so not too expensive. Gotham is a popular place and it filled up by 7.00 so they are must be doing something right. Will go again.

Gotham Cafe was recommended by my daughter and I wasn't disappointed. I had the Potato and Leek Soup with warm fresh bread. It was extemely tasty and good value at €4.50. My daughter had the Goats Cheese Crostini and she will most definitely be returning just for that! Although I am not vegetarian, I opted for the vegetarian option as I love butternut squash and pumpkin seeds. This was a very well made dish and unlike so many vegetarian options, no tomatoes or onions! The atmosphere is young and trendy and the location central to Grafton Street.

I ate here on Firday nite with a friend. The decor is really nice and really good atmosphere. The mwnu has alot of choice and is good vale for money. I ordered the sausage and mash. If your a fan of this, I would say this is the best i've tasted ever.Defineatly recommend it. My firend got the Cobb salad which was delicious. She asked or the tomatoes swapped for Sun-dried tomaotes which was not a problem. The wine list has a nice choice of wines. FOr dessert I got the Sticky Toffe pudding, which was heaven adn my friend out the cheesecake which was nothing spectacular but nice all the same. Overall the food was good, nice atmosphere and the service was excellent. Looking forward to my next visit

I had heard great things about the Giotham Cafe and after being told that it was 'Dublin's best pizza' I decided I had to visit. For starters we shared the vegetable plate which I enjoyed but my company felt was a bit thrown together. we shared a large pizza for the main course – the Grand central which was nice – fresh ingredients, lots of toppings. This filled us, two small pizzas would've been waay to big. The menu is great – wide selection of dishes but could be considered expensive for what it is. Our waiter was very friendly and service quick; however my one complaint was that it all felt a little rushed. Love the décor and very cool chilled place to relax with friends over pizza and a glass of red. Wine list is good value, the house wine not too bad! if you like pizza give it a go but I dont think I would consider it 'best pizza in Dublin'

Love gotham. Food, staff and atmosphere always great and its really reasonable too. definitely best value for money in dublin! To the person whose caeser chicken was kinda pink, its actually smoked chicken which often stays pink even though perfectly cooked so no need to worry!!

Great choice of salads, however I was concerned over the chicken they use. I had the Cobb salad, which has a gorgeous dressing. The chicken however wasnt the best, it definitely wasnt freshly cooked and was overchilled and bit tough. My friend had the Ceasar and her hot chicken still looked a bit on the pink side. It was busy so we didnt return dishes, just ate around the chicken and the rest of the ingredients were fresh and tasty

I ate here in November and i have to say the Chinatown pizza was amazing, i know i sounds odd having duck and hoin sin sauce on a pizza but give it a try, it might suprise you. Service was great and staff are friendly. my boyfriend had pasta for dinner and he loved it, i would recommend this place to anyone.

Ate here with a group last Saturday night. The starters were delicious and the pizzas were as good as I've had anywhere in Dublin. It seems that one of the positive by-products of a recession is the improvement in standards of service and it was certainly in evidence here - perfect from start to finish. Highly recommend a visit.

Ate here yesterday evening. It was a busy thursday night and my boyfriend and I were walk-ins, but we were swiftly given a table with no waiting around. The pizza's are delicious. The one downside is that the tables are extremely close together at the back of the restaurant, but otherwise an excellent place to eat out.

I eat at Gotham regularly and have to say I have always been impressed. They also have great wine. Although I was disappointed on my last visit to see their Salmon Terrayaki was unavailalbe as it it really good and my particular favourite.

Great for pizzas. I ate here yesterday and was impressed with the speedy service and with how the staff did not hurry us out of there. We particularly like the Broadway pizza - prosciutto ham, basil, rocket, tomato, goats cheese and mozarella, and the house white which was a very good sauvignon blanc.

i have to say i adore this place the pizzas are by far the best in dublin cause i love thin base pizzas .I was here on monday with my friends and we really enjoyed it. I cant count how many times of gone here for the pizza and i will be returning for many more. It also seems like a great place for the family and its very resonable aswell. im looking forward to my next pizza already :-)

My boyfriend and I had dinner here a week ago and really enjoyed it. Our starters were delicious. He had the chicken sticks and I had the goats cheese brushette and it was beautiful. Our mains were really good too and really nicely presented, especially his steak which was very impressive. The meal was great value; two starters, two main courses, one desert and a bottle of wine for €75, definitely can’t complain for that value. The service was very attentive also. The only thing I would say is that it was very noisy and very busy so not really a place where you can chill out for out 2 hours but other than that it was great.

Had lunch one day here before starting working. I warned the girl who was in charge that I was bit in a rush as I had to be back to work in 45 minutes, so I asked her if it was possible to get something within that frame of time. At the end I went for a pizza which was very nice, thin, light and with fresh ingredients. The service of this girl, who I believe is the supervisor or the manager, was exceptional in all moments. I will defo be back with more time to try any other dishes from their menu! Worth a visit!

When we arrived yesterday after work the restaraunt was full so we gave our number and were told a table would be available in about 30 mins. Gave a mobile number and popped next door for a drink. 10 mins later got a call back to say a table was ready...good service! Both went for Pizzas..definitely worth a try. the recommended house wine is also very good and only €21. People still queuing for tables when we were leaving but did not feel rushed or under to pressure to leave like you can in some busy places. Overall very nice food and excellent value for money.

Very disappointed. Went here on Friday for a quick lunch - it was far from quick. Starters arrived, i ordered the chicken skewers, which had little bread pieces with it, i nearly broke my tooth trying to bite into it! It was so hard you could knock someone out! After 40mins we asked where our main courses were and they forgot about us - the docket got lost. We did get free coffees which i have to say were lovely, as were the staff. I was very disappointed as i had heard really good reports about this place, wont be going back in a hurry!

Four of us had dinner here and came away with mixed reviews; the guacamole and antipasti were great; my calzone was nice although not exciting; one friend had the duck pizza and it was delicious; another friend (who has eaten here before) said that the food was not as good as previous visits; I couldn't fault the service; we had been advised from when we booked that they would need our table back at 8:30pm however they let us remain there for some time after that and even when they needed our table back, they relocated us outside (much to the smoker's delight!) and continued with the excellent service until closing time! I would go back as the food was good, great value and service was attentive and friendly.

Simple menu, excellent food. The tables can be somewhat cramped and the service not as friendly as some Dublin restaurants. The quality of the food and the great value prices more than make up for it though.

Had lunch here on Sunday after a day of shopping. I had never been in on the lunch menu before and found it to be as good as the evening menu, lovely food, nice chilled out atmosphere which is what we were looking for. The one thing I will say though is that the service is better at night, there was one girl there who just looked like she had got out of bed the wrong way!! Food was still lovely though!

This is a cool place in central Dublin. Stylish and casual restaurant with good food. I'd recommend for a lunch or snack. However, getting a table can be difficult and it can be quite cramped. Prices are ok, to be expected for that location. There are better and more comfortable places to eat than Gotham in the area but it's still worth a visit especially if you or friends have never been here before. It rarely disappoints.

I ate at Gotham cafe with two friends at around 3pm last week, and had a great meal. I had their daily special, which was a pizza with butternut squash, chorizo, spinach and mozzarella, and it was gorgeous. lovely thin base, proper italian style pizza. my friends had a grilled chicken open sandwich thing which they said was lovely. we shared the gorgeous chocolate fudge cake. 3 meals, 2 teas and 1 dessert and the bill was e39. the atmosphere wasn't great but that was just because of the time of the day, there weren't many people in. i will definitely go back for more pizza, and i want to try the other desserts...

Go to this restaurant regularly and alway enjoy it. Can't beat their pizzas - especially the TriBeca. It's divine with chilli oil, a crisp glass of white and a salad. Service is alway prompt and the food fresh. There is a reason that Gotham is always so full and humming - It's good, consistent, well-priced food. Finding that in the city is getting harder and harder to do these days. Give it a go!

An old one, but a good one. I have eaten here many times, and didnt really think I had much more to learn, and I guess in many ways I didnt, but it continues to shine, this little spot. Do not miss the Mexican guacamole starter, in fact, it will pretty much do for two !! The pizza of the month is usually a little cheeky if not quirky, but usually worth a go, if your palate is a little more inquisitive than a margharita, although, their margharita is nice too... Their sorbet desert is a lovely end to what should already have been a good meal. Its serious value for money, and lets face it, its good to look around at all the famous faces (meaning the people on the wall, celeb appearances not guaranteed)

Fairy cheap and cheerful. had a pasta dish that was just ok. there were only two strips of chicken in it though. My friend had a pizza, we had two bears at it was 42€! very reasonable! will go back, but try something different

Very impressed with the service here. There were no tables when we showed up at lunchtime on a Saturday but the waitress took our name and number and rang back when there was a free table. This was much better for us and for other diners than having to wait awkwardly in the doorway for 15 mins. The food was good, Chicken pizza with sweet chilli sauce was good and the Chocolate fudge cake with ice cream was amazing. The Cobb salad was a little bland. Reasonably priced for so close to Grafton St.

WE were back here again for early dinner on Saturday. Service was great. The girl at the door fit us in as they were very busy she gave us 1.5 hours at our table. There was no pressure to leave however. The kids enjoyed sausages and smiley pizzas! Guacomole was a great start and the cobb salad went down a treat. Always treated well here and will continue to visit when in town.

I had a casual bite here with an ex after a days shopping, and the food was of a high standard although the service wasn't. The food wasn't memorable but satisfying if you are looking for somewhere close to Grafton St for a bite at short notice. The Thai Green curry was nice and the pizza is apparently good quality too. Wouldn't rule out another visit.

Been here a few times and find this place reliable. Was very let down however on my recent visit. Must agree with other reviews regarding the low level of service. The waiter came to our table to take a drinks order, and i ordered soft drinks and water and was just finishing my drinks order with wine when he walked off mid sentence. I wasnt sure if he had heard the full order or if he was even getting the first part of the order. So i attempted to call him back to clarify when he spoke out loudly (didnt come over to our table to see what we wanted and assumed it ws the soft drinks/water order) to say he was getting the drinks. I was pretty sure he didnt get the wine order as I hadnt specified so I called another waiter and informed him of our wine order and that our original waiter wasnt very pleasant. He made a joke of it saying it was the guys first night- no sign of apology. Was very unhappy with the service. In their defence, they did seem busy but this is no excuse to walk off mid sentence during a customers order, not clarify the order, and they speak out over everyone when the customer attempts to get your attention. Was very let down by my latest visit as I usually rave about this place. Food very good as always...service has a lot to be desired though

Nice, relaxed restaurant. Did not need a reservation. I was here home months back and believe the main course (Vegetarian Green Curry) was far superior the first time. I was disappointed with the blandness, but everything apart from that was top notch inc starter and dessert.Fabulous ice creams also. Would recommend for a casual meal.

Had lunch in here today. Have eaten in Gotham many times, but I had to write in to complain about the terrible service. The restaurant was half empty with 4 wait staff and we still had to wait 20 minutes to order. Then we got our meal - which was delicious as usual - about another 20 mins later. Finally when we finished our meal it took us 15 minutes to ask for the check, even though we were the only table left and the four staff just stood around and talked. Used to love this place, but due to this I won't ever be going back!

Excellent pizza, good for a quick bite. Gotham is a good choice if you fancy a quick lunch or bite to eat after work. The salads are very large and fresh (not always a given in some restaurants) and the pizza's are mouthwateringly good. Service was OK, nothing amazing but not bad. We sat at a found table which was perfect for the four of us.

Was there Thursday night with 2 friends for dinner. Had the pizza special of the week - Chicken Calzone with garlic mushrooms in a tomato & creme fraiche sauce with salad. Absolutely outstanding - Friends both had pizza as well - wine & deserts great & overall a great value meal - good atmosphere & no-one rushed us, which was great given how busy the restaurant is...

Went here on Saturday night for a friends birthday. Food, atmosphere and value for money were all excellent. Menu was a bit different from the one on here. We had the guacamole to start, was really good, and really filling, you get lots of pizza bread with it. I had the NoHo pizza which had pepperoni, spinach and mozzarella and feta cheese, with a nice thin base, it was delicious. I'll definitely be back

Ate here on a Tuesday evening and couldn't believe how busy it was. Great atmosphere and good outside seating to have a gawk at the people passing by.. or a smoke. Wasn't in the mood for a big feed so got a medium pizza. Great selection of pizzas and they have a different special every day. Was enjoying the place so much that we decided to stay for dessert and had the toffee pudding which was delicious. Can't imagine how busy the place must get on weekends! The only negative aspect was the price. Considering I only got a 9" pizza it was quite expensive. Would go back again to be sure.

Ate here again last night, I have been coming to this place for years and I still say they do the best pizza in town. My upper East Side Pizza was just perfection washed down with a cote du rhone wine made it altogether a casual and satisfying meal. I just love the atmosphere of the place with all the rolling stones covers on the wall. It feels like you're dining in New York.

We had a quick meal in the Gotham Cafe on a Wed evening - and it wasvery good. As we were going on to a show we had to eat quickly and that clearly suited the Gotham Cafe as they asked for the table back for 8pm on a 6 pm booking - this is usually a pet hate of mine to be told you have to give the table back by a certain time however the circumstances in this instance it suited me fine. The starters were excellent - I had the guacamole, but I would recommend sharing on this one as it is enormous. The pizzas are perfect - thin and crispy. The wait staff are all friendly and accommodating and are attentive and quick. All in all this is a very good restaurant for a quick bite - I wouldnt recommend if you want to linger over a bottle of wine. But the quality of the food is excellent - I will be back many more times.

If you are looking for a place to grab a casual bite to eat this is the place to go. The pizzas are fab, and for those who don't like pizzas there is plenty to choose from. I couldn't recommended this restaurant highly enough.

Excellent restaurant, great for a quick meal with quality food. The pizza's are all fabulous but for a real treat have the pasta with roasted butternut squash. Either as a starter or main course - it's simply magnificant! Well worth the visit.

Ate here with a friend last night and the food was delicious. I had the Soho pizza followed by cheesecake. The place was buzzing and very good value. Will return

I ate here a couple of weeks ago with a friend. It was after 9 on a Friday evening, although it was busy we got a table no problem, we both had starters, the crostini, it was nice, fairly standard for this type of food, the waiter was very pleasant and overall was a good experience. I probably would prefer as a lunch venue rather dinner.

Gotham Cafe has a nice laid back atmosphere, and I love the food. The antipasti (for two) was a fab starter. Unfortunately the waitress turned up with one wrong main course, and after 15/20 mins turned up with a new one with an inaudible apology. Luckily I was having a cold salad- so my food wasn't ruined by the wait. I was shocked by the absolute casualness with which the correct meal was produced. I would go back, but only because visits on previous occasions were not so dissappointing.

We had dinner here on a Sunday evening, the service was excellent and the piza menu was extensive. while the atmosphere was great, there are other places in that area that are better value for money - worth a visit though!

This isn't a bad place for lunch but I've never had dinner here. The menu is quite good and varied. I like the salads but the pizzas, calzones are a little too oily for me. The worst thing about this place is that the tables are so close together that it's almost like dining with complete strangers. A bit more space between tables and I'd give Gotham a higher rating. The service is only ok and it's definitely something the staff could brush up on.

We were in this restaurant on Friday night - it was very busy as usual and the tables all around us turned over several times while we were there. We have been here before on numerous occasions but I felt that this time the restaurant has gone downhill and I was not impressed with any of the dishes we ordered - the antipasto starter was stale looking and was only ok, the main courses again only ok. I would not be rushing back and it felt like production line food and service.

Great place to go for lunch or a light evening meal. The menu is centred on pizza/pasta/salads and caters to most peoples' tastes - the pizza toppings are particularly tasty. The guacamole is a good starter and the antipasti plate is perfect to share with a friend over a bottle of wine. Always bustling and busy, it does a fine job if casual dining is what you're after, although the service is unremarkable at best.

I went here on Friday night, the food is quite reasonable and my b/friend really enjoyed his Louisiana crab cakes. I will say though that I wouldn't recommend the spinach and baby potato pizza as the only thing that it tasted like was pesto. I'm all for a bit of pesto but I think that you should be able to taste other flavours as well. Also the menu is a bit different that the one on menu pages. Overall it was a nice place to go.

A nice place to eat. I was here on a Tuesday evening and it was busy enough. The food was nice, we shared the antipasti and a pizza. I was disappointed that the menu had changed from what it is on Menupages, but the quality of the food and wine was good - I'd go back again

Really nice place. Always very busy, which I suppose adds slightly to the hype. However I can't fault the food. I opted for the chicken ciabatta sandwich served with baby potatoes. Would have eaten a slightly bigger portion though! Quite noisy when I was there, so not ideal for a quiet chat. However I think this adds to Gotham's appeal. Interesting display of magazine covers on the wall.

If you haven't tried Gotham - please do! Gotham has to be one of my favourite restaurants for lunch or dinner in Dublin. I have never had a bad experience or meal here and have been frquneting the restaurant over a 2 year period in large and small groups at weekends and mid week. The atmosphere is great, the staff are friendly and the food is delicious. If I had to recommend one dish it would be the vegetarian cobb salad - scrumptious!

Bit disappointing. Eight of us celebrated our son's birthday here in the early evening. The four teenagers were happy enough, but the adults were decidedly underwhelmed. Overall I got the impression that the staff were trying to do their best, but the whole operation wasn't being run like a tight ship at all. It was just we never knew who was serving our table and it was hard to get the reluctant attention of a different server each time we needed something - we didn't feel looked after and when you did get someone it felt like they hadn't a minute for you to hesitate over anything. On to the food - I was expecting it to be a bit better than a burger and pizza joint, but it isn't really. Kids had garlic bread - they were happy. One adult had soup, which was a curry soup and really quite nice. I had Caesar salad - was fine as far as these things go - nice crisp leaves and loads of pine nuts, croutons and few garlic shavings. On to mains - young ones had bangers and mash and pizza and seemed happy enough. I had pasta with smoked salmon and shrimps - it was really not up to much - the shrimps were those teeny little things that are just a really bad idea for any dish and just plain annoying - why not leave the dish with just the smoked salmon and put more of it, because there wasn't much in it? Another adult had a steak, which she said was fine. Adult no. three ordered a cobb salad and was very disappointed. The avocado in the salad was rock hard - completely unripe and inedible. As an example of the level of service, the waitress' response to this was that the chef said that all the avocados that came in that day were unripe - hello???!!! We had brought a cake with us, which the staff put two candles on and brought out, and they sang Happy Birthday, which was nice. All in all, I guess if you want a snack that is OK and a nice lively atmosphere, this place might do you.

I always liked Gotham but I think it has really gone down hill over the last few months. The last 2 times I've been in there the food has been poor and certaintly nothing like the standard it used to be. We had the Thai Curry and Sausage and Mash and both were tasteless. Had the pizza a month ago and not great either. Great location and good atmosphere but that's where it ends unfortunately!

This is always a good bet when you have been shopping on Grafton Street for a bite to eat after - assuming you have booked in advance or they are having a quiet night! Never feel rushed in here either, last time I was here was for a bite to eat with a couple of friends on a Thursday evening and while the restaurant was busy we were not rushed to finish our wine or our food! Would definitely recommend it!

Always good, providing you can get a table. But in fairness, a restaurant in the middle of town that tries to cater for both bookings and walk-ins... not bad. Food always good and this was no exception. Wine not bad too, middle of the road, which is what you want with the nice comfort food that they serve. Best caesar salad around, and the guacamole starter is seriously yum. Very accomodating and an outside table, day or evening (heated terrace) is much nicer than inside, where it's usually a tad too warm (esp the further back you go). Although service outside can be a bit hit-and-miss... if you do opt for outside/get a seat outside, make sure you're wearing your bossy hat to ensure your orders are taken etc... otherwise, very enjoyable comfort place... I go there time and time again...

This place is always so busy which is a great sign. There is a really good atmosphere, its a fun place to eat and have a good laugh with friends. The food is good, not amazing, but perfect for a cheap and cheerful meal. There is huge choice on the menu and the service is really good. Its really good value for a well known city centre restaurant. we paid €84 for 5 mains and 1 bottle of wine. Definitely worth a visit...

Love this place. The atmosphere is lively, the food is always good and it's excellent value for money. Was there on Saturday with 3 friends - we had starters, mains, 2 bottles of wine and 2 desserts and the bill came to €130! Nowhere else in the city centre will you get a similar standard of food for such a reasonable price. The goats cheese crostini is a favourite of mine, the chicken sticks are also good to start. Long list of tasty pizzas that won't disappoint!

And there were no chips- something i thought was very strange :D. Overall it's an OK place, but I don't think i'll be visiting again soon.

Went there with friends, had thee AMAZING goat's cheese crostini to start & we had the harlem pizza & veg curry for mains! food were gorgeous & the wine went down a treat. Bustling place, good atmosphere & always busy! I will be back for sure!!! Tables are abit close together but it's Dublin city centre so it's to be expected!! Go there for a general natter/catch up not an intimate meal! Booking is advised!!

Have dined here quite a few times, and I'm still not sure why, because personally I don't find the menu that appealing and always order the same thing! Popped in here early Tuesday evening (around 6:30), the place is buzzing with after-work diners. I like this place in a middle of the road kind of way. It is popular and usually quite busy, as it was on this occasion. I had never noticed before how noisy the place is - I think because on this visit we were seated right by all the traffic, in the middle of the room. My husband and I shared a tortilla starter which was nice and fresh. For main course I had penne pesto which was nice - it is a decent portion and a starter isn't necessary! The staff are usually fine here and our waitor was friendly enough. Fresh & clean decor. Good place to meet a friend after work or shopping, but not for a quiet romantic meal.

I certainly would'nt describe the pizza as 'Amazing' more like bland. I went there last night and did find the atmosphere buzzy. The photos of New York and Rolling Stone Magazine on the walls give the place a nice touch, however the food is just about all right. The service is attentive even a bit over the top. It reminded me of a Pizza style Eddie Rockets. I would'nt be rushing back.

The food in Gotham Cafe is lovely. I had the Chinatown pizza and it was very tasty. My friends had the Central Park & Brooklyn Bridge pizzas and these were equally as nice. Very good value for money. Setting is lovely but the waitresses were a bit over the top-they came over to us 3 times to ask if we were ready to order and we were only sitting about 5 minutes! Other than that I really enjoyed my meal.

Gotham is a lovely place for a girly night. It's always best to book in advance. Each time I go I always go for pizza with parma ham, mushroom, onion, goats cheese and sundried tomato! A bottle of pinot grigio and pecan pie! Delicious! What's even better is the bill it always suprises us how reasonable it is - usually about 65e for 2 pizzas, 2 desserts and a bottle of wine.

1st time to Gotham Cafe and really enjoyed it. There weren't any available tables when we arrived but a waitress took our number and called within 10 minutes to let us know 1 had become available. My boyfriend had the spinach and baby potato calzone which he thoroughly enjoyed, I just had the chicken skewer starter which was very good. I'd definitely go back.

Gotham must be one of the most child friendly restaurants in town!!! Sure they dont allow buggies because the restaurant is quite small & cramped with little space between tables but they have lots of baby seats and even have an infant seat for tiny babies. The have a great kids menu , provide colouring pages & crayons and even have toys & books to keep the kids entertained so us parents can relax a little.Dont know anywhere else that is so child friendly in town. Most restaurants dont bother. My kids love it and so do we. Good food for us and they keep busy& have fun. The staff are pretty good with kids too.Oh & they also have a baby change room!

NO BUGGIES!!!!!!!!! My friend and I visited (sorry tried to visit) the Gotham Cafe on Saturday after shopping. We had a 2 year old who was asleep in her buggy at the time with us. The waitress said 'Oh you cant come in with the child in the buggy! - Health and Safety!!' I explained that I thought that was unfair, so after a lengthy conversation with her Manager they agreed to let us in. They were very rude to us, I felt very embarrassed with the whole of the restaurant looking at us and probably wondering what reason there was for not wanting us to dine there. In the end they said we could come in but because of the drama they made over it we decided it would be best to go spend our hard earned money somewhere that we would be treated with a bit of respect and be given some manners! Wont be going there ever again!

Loved this place - pizza with duck and hoi sin duck was lovely as was the greek salad. Waitress was very friendly and attentive even though we were sat outside. Prices were not bad either considering this restaurants location. Worth keeping their telephone number in your phone to book ahead as I have often tried to go back but can't ever seem to get a table. So hope to go back very soon!

Think Gotham is a great mid/after shopping treat. Usually busy but staff still very efficient and friendly (if space is a little tight sometimes!) Was loving the proscuitto pizza, generous toppings and nice thin base, as well as the Caesar salad, very good.

I went for lunch here with my mother and sister after a serious afternoons shopping. Its the perfect location for this off Grafton Street. As always the staff were really friendly but not in a brown-nosing for tips fashion. The food was speedy enough coming out which was great, and my pizza was lovely - nice and crisp base with plenty of toppings. I thought the regular size was more than enough. I had the lush cheesecake for dessert which hopefully will never change as it was gorgeous.

Oily, stodgy pizzas. I cannot fathom why this place is famous for them! I went all out and had a chinatown pizza, I now understand why an aromatic duck topped pizza, hoi sin and all, is not seen gracing the menu in more pizzerias. In fairness though, I really should have known better in the first place! My friends prawn salad was quite the opposite, it being beautiflly fresh and equally tasty. Service was good, I was there for lunch and we weren't kept waiting long for service at any stage. I won't be hurrying back here, but if I do find myself eating here again, it wont be a pizza.

Gotham Cafe is great if you want a quick, reasonably priced meal. Definitely recommend the guacamole and baby calzoni. I often have the baby calzoni as a main course and they are definitely a big enough serving for that. Pizzas are good with light bases but the small ones are not big enough if you are starving. It does seem to attract a certain type of crowd and that would be overwhelmingly female! My boyfriend noticed the lack of men last time we ate there surrounded by groups of women. Some of the staff can be a bit abrupt but I always go back for the good value tasty food.

Gotham is a great little place for a casual early evening dinner. Book ahead because they are always very busy and its not very big. They seem to be more well known for their pizzas, but I go back for their Goats cheese crostini starter, guacamole with tortillas, chicken sticks and the antipasti for two. To be honest the best part of Gotham for me is their starters. Their pizzas are probably their best mains, the thai veg curry is nice too, but the others can be a bit heavy and hit and miss. I've gotten the crab cakes a few times, they were good sometimes and once they were too salty. It didn't put me off though cos I usually go for two starters. They do a smoked samlon pizza for a starter which is grand as a main with a side salad. Desserts are fine, not a wide variety though. Coffee is lovely, big and not overpriced as it often can be. Try the cappuccino. Staff are nice too. Definitely worth trying.

Always a great option for a pizza in the city centre. The portion size isn't huge but the pizzas range from the usual suspects to some unusal combinations. The desserts are lovely as well.

Visited here last night in a group of 5 friends. Although the food was very tasty, those of us who got pizzas (regular size) were left hungry and felt that we could eat the same again - even after having the delicious chocolate fudge cake. If you're going here for pizza make sure you order the large one!

Visited on a Saturday night in a group of 8. We originally booked for 7 and when needed to add an extra person at last minute, were told that they had no other table that the one allocated to us, which was a round one and if were ok squeezing up, it was ok with us. This was acceptable to us. We had been told that if we didn't arrive withing 15 minutes of our booking that we would lose our table, so when some of us arrived 10 minutes early we had to stand aroung waiting on our table as there is no waiting area. Anyway, once we got seated, we were serves by a very stressed waiter, who when we asked for a jug of water told us he couldn't leave us the jug as he had only 2 jugs. Once we were served, however, we had a very enjoyable meal and by the end of the night he had calmed down and actually smiled. There was no rush put on us to vacate our seats, which was appreciated. We had 8 main courses, two bottles of wine and a glass of beer for €202.20 (€25.20 each) which was reasonable for city centre.

I have been here a few times with my husband and can't find fault with the food. We have had the antipasti which is generous and very tasty and the chicken dish for main is lovely as are the pizzas. However when we went to go there with the buggy, they would not let us in even when we were willing to wait for one of the 2 tables at the front which had plenty of space for a buggy. The girl was rude and unwilling to compromise even though we had been there quite a number of times before. Needless to say we left feeling quite annoyed and have not been back since.

This restaurant is often packed to its brim!! Had an impromtu meeting with friends for dinner so we had no prior reservations. So we decided to give Gotham a go. Extremely strategic location and prompt service. However it's really a place for a quick fix. Pizzas have are slightly different from the norm with wall street pizzas that have an assortment of toppings and chinese duck for a change.

Would strongly recommend this place as a cheap and cheerful option - perfect for a break from shopping! Food and atmosphere very good. Only disadvantages, always packed so you need to reserve one or two hours ahead - and in the winter, if you get a table beside the door it's freezing as the constant flow of people keep opening the door! Great for a quick din, would not recommended for a romantic meal out.

This place is wonderful for a Saturday afternoon brunch stop. There is nowhere else in town I would consider when having a shopping break with the girls. The food is consistently great. The salads are to die for, and my friend had the pizza and said it was one of the best she had eaten! The decor is very cool trendy New York. I love the pictures on the walls. It is also a wonderful place to eat alone, and the staff are very accommodating and never make me feel rushed. There is a great selection, the prices are reasonable, and it outshines its local competitors on all counts!

We recently had a family pizza stop here after wandering around town for a few hours on a Sunday evening. Had been here once before a few years back and decor changes are for the better as it seems brighter and bigger. Managed to get a table straightaway and service was good. Both had pizzas with the boys sharing and they enjoyed their colouring. Tasty pizzas which were very good value, will definitely go again and spend a bit longer perusing the menu.

I had the pleasure of eating in Gotham twice this year, the decor now is much more inviting and cosy than before. Soft creams and vanilla colours combined with dim lighting makes for the ideal surroundings for some relaxing dining. The food is simple but very tasty and well presented, portions are generous. I recommend the sirloin steak or if you prefer something lighter, the chicken Ceaser is foolproof. Very friendly and attentative waiters/waitresses.

Had lunch here on Saturday. Place was very busy but we were seated straight away. Service was good. We took our time and ordered a couple of coffees after, we were never rushed out even though demand for tables was high. My friend had crostinis which were lovely. I ordered the Cobb salad which was drowned in dressing. The food was white with dressing - someone went to town with a squeezy bottle! However, handy location if you are in town and not too pricy.

Probably some of the more expensive sandwiches in Dublin but the decor is trendy and the food is nice. Perfect for a quick bite to eat when you're in town. Recommend the bacon bagel which comes with new potatoes and a small salad. Popular for Sunday brunch. Dining room is busy and a little noisy.

Popped into Gotham for a quick lunch on Saturday afternoon. I had to wait about 10ish minutes for a table, which wasn't a problem as I was waiting for a friend. The staff were very helpful and found me a table as soon as possible. The lunch menu is quite varied - with salad, specialty sandwiches, main dishes and pizzas all vying for your attention. I plumped for the chicken ciabatta with a creamy basil and tomato dressing. It was served with a decent side salad and roasted baby potatoes. Gorgeous! I wiped the plate clean and was full for the rest of the day. My friend was equally as pleased with her bacon and apple chutney (I think!) bagel. The bill came to just under €20 for the both of us, and we weren't rushed from our table as soon as we had finished eating. A great alternative for a bit of sustenance during a spree.

The first restaurant that I ever ate in, in Dublin’s fair city, I was impressed on day one and very little has changed. Sure the decor and menu have had a touch up- but this remains one of the great reasons to take the misses shopping on a busy Saturday afternoon. Simple tasty food well prepared and offering great value.

I have eaten in Gotham lots of time over the last number of years and have never been disappointed. The food is excellent, the staff very friendly and efficient and the place is reasonable good value on a Dublin level. The pizzas are good; the Thai green curry is excellent as are the desserts. The wine and beer are standard priced but nothing outstanding. I have and would recommend this place.

Went here for lunch on Sunday after some shopping. The new decor great! Had the Gotham Breakfast, which is a good size, my partner, had the Caesar Salad and my son had the pizza. All the food was great and very fresh; the service was good and all in all very reasonably priced. Great spot for lunch in town.

I went for lunch here with a few friends last weekend. The food was delicious, the desert very generous and the service great we didn't feel like we were being rushed out, even though they were turning people away from the door. Great value too for the quality of the food. We'd never been to Gotham Café before, but we all agreed we'd definitely be heading back.

Had lunch there on a busy Thursday. Were greeted by a friendly waitress who showed us to our seats, which were well located under the skylight that dominates the back half of the restaurant. The waitress was very helpful in answering questions we had on inclusions on the menu. I had the Cobb salad and my friend the open ciabatta. They were both very good, and filling. The cobb salad was overpriced for what it was, but this was the only detraction. Service was quick and efficient and I will def be back!

Had dinner there last night. For a Wednesday night it was busy. We had decided on the way home from work to call in. But couldn't have a table until 8pm. Food was excellent have been before and hasn't let us down. Wine I think a little on the dear side for the quality of it. But I had a steak there last night, usually I get a pizza. The steak was beautiful on a bed of cream mash potatoes. Really loved it.

Had dinner here last night as it's long been one of my favourite eateries in Dublin. As usual, the pizzas were fantastic - real American-style with generous, fresh toppings. Three of us shared the guacamole starter followed by 2 pizzas and a Caesar salad. My choice was the excellent vegetarian SoHo pizza with spinach and feta cheese - a real winner. Pizzas come in two sizes which are a normal 10" & for the extra-hungry 12". Wines are always interesting and reasonably-priced. Staff are friendly and accommodating. So all-in-all, Gotham-A-Go-Go.

Was here the other day with some friends, the meal was fantastic.....had the goats cheese to start which was divine..best I have had in along time. Had the Pancetta chicken for main and it was so filling and delicious can still taste all the flavours from it. Just about had room for dessert but managed it which was also superb. My friends and myself love this place and we can't wait to go back!!!!

Everything about Gotham Cafe is average, and a little bit boring. The service was purely functional: not bad, but certainly nothing special. The food - 2 mains, chicken and pizza - was again, functional: filled the gap, tasted okay, definitely nothing to get excited about. Combined with the total lack of atmosphere, not really an experience to be repeated.

The pizzas are better on the menu than taste. Service was very good and the ambience is fine. Am still searching for the best gourmet pizzas in Dublin and was hoping this would be my final stop. We found our pizzas a bit dry and tasteless but the idea is good. In terms of value, it will be worth it once they get the pizzas perfect.

It's one of the classic situations of a better lunch than dinner. I've eaten here on a number of occasions for both and I must say the food has always been good, if a bit over priced (just off Dublin’s busiest street! what can you expect).

This place has really picked up since its makeover last year. Most recently popped in for lunch last week. Service was very efficient and helpful, food was yummy and good value for money - we finished everything. I had a couple of starters, as there was too much choice - great selection of pizzas, salads, pasta etc... Try the Goats cheese crostini and the butternut squash linguine!! Had to leave room for dessert - the cheesecake is a must! Philadelphia Cream New York style - even if you’re a chocolate fan give it a go!!!!!!!! A good buzz around the place too better to phone ahead for a reservation though at peak times as it can get quite busy.........definitely be back.

Lovely restaurant but if you get stuck by the door it can be quite draughty. I had one experience where the waitress was trying to rush us the whole time including reminding us at each course how long we had left as there was another booking. Every other time has been brilliant though. Lovely atmosphere, particularly like down the back, and the food is really good.

You won't leave this place hungry, the portions are enormous! I'm not a pizza lover myself but my friends adore these masterpieces. Several times also I have rung for a booking to be told they're full, but they have taken my mobile number in case there's a table, and every time we have received a call to say they have one - I call that excellent service, nice touch

Myself and 2 friends were out for dinner a week before Christmas and the restaurant we booked didn't have a great menu so we left. We tried Gotham expecting a no as we had no booking and they managed to fit us in. That was a great kick off and we had a great night they do lovely pizzas, have a great Caesar salad and a yummy chicken curry, but it is a tad bit expensive for what it is.

A good all round diner. We shared the Mexican guacamole to start - a good basic dish, hard to get wrong but some restaurants seem to manage it. Their pizzas are great and I had the Central Park while she has the Asian prawn salad. Finished off with an Americano and a shared Gotham cheesecake. Gotham won't astound you but it does what it says on the tin.

Gotham offers reasonable value for money but a little on the dear side for what you get. The menu is varied enough to suit any mixed group although a little more effort could be put into the food. The chocolate Fudge cake dessert was delicious while the main course and starter were tasty they could've been improved on.

Service is a little slow but the food is excellent. My recommendation is the Chinatown pizza! Succulent slices of duck breast with cashews and shredded spring onions with hoi sin sauce. Beautiful!

Good selection on menu - not just pizzas! Very efficient service. Food is very good and, in Dublin terms, priced about right. Particularly impressed that on a busy Friday night - we couldn't find a table anywhere! - They took the trouble to take our mobile number and called us when they had a table. Nice touch!

They do lovely pizzas in this restaurant. However when I was last there I got pasta in a tomato sauce - which was very disappointing as it tasted like tomato puree. A little hit and miss.

The food was just about ok here, but the toilets were dirty with toilet paper strewn all over the floor, obviously not checked in a while by staff, if I had seen the loos before I ate I would have left for sure

The food here is delicious; they do great pizza with a bit more of a selection of toppings than you would get anywhere else. They do a fabulous pecan pie however some of the staff are quite unfriendly but generally the atmosphere is good.

Not quite expensive although dearer than a lot of cafes in this area but great value for money. The food is well worth it. Have eaten here several times and never had a bad dish. Fish cakes are delish!

Don’t forget to try the cheese cake, so so creamy! All dishes are different to the types of food that you find in other restaurants. I recommend the China Town Pizza. The wine selection is very good and some different beers are served. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They also cater for any special needs or requests that you might have regarding food.
