One of my all time fav restaurant in Dublin. You have a real feel and taste of Cantonese dining. An all time fav for local Chinese and Irish people, you always see a good mix in there. I love the ding sum here. They actually have a pastry chef making them, non frozen stuff. Great value, quick service. Enjoy every time we are there. Taste of home of Asia.

Went here recently for a meal with my sister for a birthday meal. Thought on looking at the early bird menu that it was good value for money & there seemed to be a few people in the restaurant. We placed our food order & ordered a bottle of pinot grigio. When the girl came back to the table she said that the pinot grigio wasnt chilled & did we want to order something else so gave us the wine menu again. Our starters arrived & the waitress never came back to take the alternative wine order so we had to order it from the waiter who came with our food. My sister had the spring rolls which didnt come with any sauce & I had the bbq spare ribs which really were spare as there was virtually no meat on them. I ordered sweet & sour chicken for my mains which wasnt very nice & the fried rice was sticky & tasteless. As we were having a 3 course meal the waitress asked us if we wished to look at the dessert menu which my sister did & then she completely forgot to come back. My sister asked again when I went to the ladies & she just gave her the 3 choices verbally. When my sister tried to order her chosen dessert (& we were going to order 2 more glasses of wine) she tried to get the attention of one of the waiters & when she started to order he interrupted her & rudely left the table to attend to more customers coming in the door. We then decided because of his rudeness that we werent staying to have dessert (which were paying for anyway) so when he came back I asked for the bill instead & explained to him that I thought what he did was rude. He just apologised in a very dismissive way and left the table. Another waiter arrived with the bill & as I wasnt satisfied with the apology I was given I tried to explain to him to which he apologized and informed us that there was nothing to do as the other waiter was actually the manager!! Awful restaurant & extremely rude ´manager`, AVOID at all costs!!

Went here on Saturday night a party of 14 of us with out a booking and they accommodated us so easily, they organised two large round tables next to each other which suited us perfectly. We ordered the set menu for the fourteen of us and the food was fabulous, with a terrific selection. The staff couldn't have done enough for us and although we arrived late approx 10.20 ish we were never rushed, it was very efficient, yet relaxed. All in all we had a most pleasant Chinese dining experience in the Good World Chinese restaurant. Would definitely recommend it and will most definitely be back.

I purchased a voucher for Good World as it is one of my favourite chinese restaurants and it was for a 3 course meal with a glass of wine/bottle of beer each for 39.99 which was great value. When we started to order the waiter was quite abrupt and tried to tell us they had no seabass even though several people were eating it around us. Then when we said that he said we couldn't get it on the voucher and my husband asked to speak to the manager. The waiter stormed off and a polite manager came back, when my husband explained what had happened he said the waiter must have thought he was trying to order lobster and said of course he could order sea bass. Although it was a bad start, the manager then served us, we ended up ordering an extra glass of wine and two extra bottles of beer and when we asked for the bill at the end of the night he said the extra drinks were on the house which was nice. We do go there for family occasions etc so I was happy they redeemed themselves. The food was gorgeous as always.

not quite the best dim sum in Dublin - better places in unlikely locations, but quite good chinese food. Service is a good as you get in a chinese resaturant - but it's mainly about the food here, which is worth coming for

4.5 Good World Chinese Restaurant 4.5 star review:
Have only been here twice in total purely thanks to my sister's love of this place. The last time we went was during the weekend and was surprisingly very empty. We started with some prawn dumplings and vegetable spring rolls which were both terrific. For the main we had char siu pork which completely overshadowed everything else. We also ordered a plate of Asian vegetables for some variety. Reluctantly I left the pork for a courtesy bite of the veg for the benefit of my sister (she was paying after all) and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered a pot of jasmine green tea to wash it all down which was beautifully fragrant. The staff were very friendly and treated us well. I'd go as far to say that this is the best Chinese food I've had. Looking forward to going back!

I was expecting a lot from here as I have heard a lot of good things about it and a Chinese friend recommended it to me. It was ok at best but perhaps we got them on an off night. I ate the food, it was OK but I didn't find it particularly flavoursome or extremely enjoyable. We both opted for the stuffed crab claws which were a little too chewy and didn't taste of very much. I got the Szechwan Prawns for main which were nice but I expect Szechwan Prawns to be spicy with a bit of a kick and these didn't have that at all. Kind of boring and lacking in flavour. My OH got a chicken dish which he seemed to thoroughly enjoy. Dessert in Chinese restaurants is always a disaster as they offer those pre-packed dishes that are always too frozen so these were a little off putting. We both got ice cream which was ok. The wine selection wasn't great, I love a nice glass of Pinot Grigio but this tasted kind of cheap and I had t send one glass back as it was awful. Service was a little hit and miss and atmosphere kind of lacking. I am really disappointed writing this as I wanted to enjoy it so much more. I will try it again another time as I have heard a lot of great things about it from others.

I bought a Menupages voucher for this restaurant, 39.95Eur entitled us to any 2 starters, any 2 mains, 2 desserts, 2 tea/coffee and either a bottle of beer or glass of house wine each. I made a booking for Sat evening at 7.30pm
It was quite busy when we arrived so we had to wait about 5 minutes or so for a table which was fine. I felt a little awkward as the "waiting area" I was sitting at was right beside a couple having their dinner so it felt like I was sitting at their table!
I noticed the place is a little worse for wear but nothing a coat of paint wouldn't fix.
We were shown to our table and made our order after advising we had a Menupages voucher. We weren't sure what to expect but I have to admit the food was wonderful, they didn't give us a restricted menu to order from and there was nothing off limits which was great.
We ate our fill and even got second helpings of rice We ordered a glass of house wine each and this was the only negative thing I can say as it tasted of nothing - I can only presume it was watered down but for the price I can't complain.
I would definitely recommend the Good World's food to anyone, it's gorgeous and the service was great too!
We will be back.

I've been here on several occasions over the last 5 years or so. I always found the food excellent and the service quite good. The menu is priced reasonably. I usually get the same starter which is the salt and chilli chicken wings and they're amazing everytime. My husband gets different things each time but has had the seabass in black bean sauce on a few occasions as the fish is usually very fresh and they remove the bones. I've come in large and small groups and the staff are usually quick and friendly. Can be quite busy at times and overall i've only ever had one unsatisfactory meal it was around chinese new year and they were exeptionally busy but food was still good. Would definitely recommend.

I've been here a good few times. We chose the Early Bird Menu A, and although the choices are really just standard Chinese Restaurant fare, they were very enjoyable, as has the food been in the past.
The service is efficient, but I wouldn't exactly say all that friendly to be honest. We felt our server just wanted us to eat and get out.
I'd go back, I just hope we get a different server next time.
