Visited this place for the first time last night and was pleasantly surprised! It was like stepping into Morroco the decor was fabulous. We had a meatball tagine and a lamb tagine both of which arrived piping hot in ceramic pots. We didn't order sides but they came with bread for moping up the juices. Both dishes were very tasty and I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The only issue was that the ladies toilets were out of order so you had to use the men's but presumably that is a temporary issue.

Had a meal at Dada with my girlfriend for her Birthday and i have to say it was excellent. We will be back again. It had looked small from the outside, but it is really big when you walk in. The place was really busy which made me think this meal could very easily be a disaster. I couldn't be more incorrect. Layout of the restaurant makes you feel like you are in Morocco which made the meal more of an overall enjoyable experience. The food was excellent.

Went here using a voucher that was on Grabone. It was €24 for 2 mains and 2 sides. The decor of the place is lovely, cosy the city centre location is great for drinks after. The only complaint I have is that we were seated up the back of the restaurant which was fine but there wasn't many people there when we arrived first and the music was very loud and it seemed to echo in the emptiness almost to the point of having to pause mid conversation. I can't describe the music but like belly dancing oriental music, though some songs sounded like someone was being tortured! That aside, we were served pretty quickly. The menu had a good choice of couscous dishes, tagines, fish and sides to choose from. I like a restaurant that does a few dishes and does them well, under each there were about 6 choices. Food was served piping hot. We both got tagines, mine was chicken with almonds & pear and himself got lamb with apricots, for sides I got couscous and he got spicy potatoes. The food was really tasty, lots of nuts and fruit and the meat was melt in the mouth. The portions were good size, enough to feel satisfied but not too full. I would definitely return to this place. Great place for a group to start the night, great value & tasty menu.

Was at a meal here last night - made up a table of 5 girls. Have to say service was very good with wine and olives appearing very fast, but it took a while to get the bill when we were finished. The food was simple yet tasty, and was very satisfying for early bird value. Was surprised, but happy, that there was no couscous, but bread with the main courses - i am not a couscous lover, but the bread was fantastic! The wine was excellent value, and the mint tea was very pleasant at the end. Will happily return for both early bird and non early bird menus in the future. Second time at this restaurant and just as tasty.

We were in this restaurant last month but we tend to go once or twice a month. I love the slow cooked shoulder of lamb and my eating companion usually goes for the chicken tagine with preserved lemons. The lunchtime menu is also excellent. I have found the food to be consistently good and the staff are friendly and helpful, the menu changes as well which is good as long as they never take away the shoulder of Lamb. If you go here the Moroccan coffee is a must, we have asked for the recipe many times, but it's a very guarded secret. See you next month DaDa !!!

Myself and my partner visited Dada on recomendation and mainly because they serve Halal food. I myself am a huge lover of north African food but my partner is more into Indian / Pakistani food. However, after our dining experience he has now converted his tastes. The food was out of this world, not just the expected rustic hearty foods I had become accustomed to with north African foods but on a completely different level with intricate layers of tastes and textures, I was just blown away. I do think on looking through the menu they are a little expensive but you absolutely get the quality you pay for, nothing bad to say. The fresh mint tea is deliciously refreshing and the Moroccan coffee a must. You really don't know what you're missing, give it a try!

Went here with my other half and 2 kids. We were actually searching for another restaurant when we spotted the pipes being smoked outside! This piqued our interest so we decided to give it a try. It was early Sunday evening and the place was slowly beginning to fill up. They had a very good guitarist playing. We probably sat a bit too close as he was a little loud. No reflection on him though as he was brilliantly talented. Our kids are food cognisors so we opted for around 6 different starters to share. We were not disappointed, they were delicious. We had 2 mains to share and they were huge. We could hardly finish them! We did make room to share one of the Moroccan pastries which was gorgeous. Kids had the homemade lemonade and loved it we had wine, also lovely. Would absolutely return as the restaurant was very authentic. Staff were very friendly if somewhat a little on the slow side when taking our order. Our bill was €155 for 4 which included 2 bottles of wine.

We had a lovely friday night meal here, with some lovely wine. There is a great selection on the menu and each persons meal really impressed. I went for a cous cous option which was really tasty and a very generous portion. Some of my friends opted for tagine which also were really nicely presented and very tasty! We were sitting in the area beside the front door and the atmosphere was nice but the next time I'd like to sit further in as it seemed a bit cosier and had less people standing around waiting to be seated etc. I would definitely recommend this place and will be back to try more of the very tasty menu.

We had a lovely evening here last Friday. We were lucky enough to get a cosy booth table : )The food is delicious. It arrived without delay and the portions are quite generous. There is a good choice on the menu something to suit everyone. There is also a bar downstairs where you can have a drink before or after your meal : ) The atmosphere in the restaurant is lively and happy and we found it a very enjoyable experience.

Decided last minute to go to Dada on Saturday night; the restaurant was full but we got a table downstairs in the bar. Although the tables aren't ideal for eating the atmosphere and decour in the place was fantastic and ther service was pretty good too. We had bread with dips and a lamb skewer to start follwed by a lamb tagine and lamb shoulder for mains. The lamb was cooked so well it just fell apart - mine was not the hotest when it arrived but it was so tastey I barely noticed! We washed it down with a lovely (& very reasonably priced) wine follwed by Marakesh Mojitos which I would definatly recommend. The only downside was the toilets - they weren't the cleanest but overall this wouldn't put me off going back for another vist.

Went here on a friday night with a group of 8.It wasn't too full but a nice atmosphere. Beautiful decor. We got the set menu and there was so much food that none of us were able to finish our maincourse. Pita and 4 dips to start. then we got two platters to share. The sardines wrapped in filo were divine. so was the spinach. We all got different maincourses and it was accompanied with bread. The dessert was a bit disappointing as they were also platters to share, which was a bit awkward and messy to divide icecream scoops. We would have prefered to pick our own dessert. Alas, that was only a minor detail. The waiter was extremely friendly and chatty and we had a fantastic evening. It was a bit strange though that we were charged for the bottles of tap water. They were only 1 euro each, but I never had to pay for tap water in any other restaurant before. At least they should have mentioned this beforehand. But well, that was another minor detail. Will go back soon!

Came here early Sunday before a concert. I used my Hi Life card which allowed me to get up to 3 meals complementary once I bought the equivalent. They were very happy to facilitate and replied to my emails in minutes when booking. My partner and I shared all the dishes. We ordered the bread (pitta) and dips and got the pan fried prawns free. Wasnt impressed with the dips but the prawns where pretty damn good. For mains we got couscous with chicken breast, sultanas, cinnamon onions and chickpeas and the baked monk fish. The chicken breast was so nice and just broke apart. It was perfect but the couscous it came with was well too sweet, and I have a major sweet tooth but this was too much. The monk fish dish was splendid and I'm not a fan of monk fish. It was like the chicken, cooked to perfection and broke apart when eaten. The couscous that came with it was nutty and beautiful. For desserts we got banana and apple fritters and the white choc cheesecake. I will definitely never order fritters again. I can't image any place make them nice! the cheesecake was a winner. 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 desserts, glass of red, diet coke, 2 americanos €50.50. Not bad at all. Will return. Try the monk fish!!

I went to Dada for a friend's birthday last week. We pre-booked the Group Menu Offer. The offer stated that it was €30pp for four people sharing for some bread, shared starters, main, shared desert, and mint tea. When the food arrived it was for 8 people. We were a table of ten. Everyone only managed to taste the starter. I had the lamb for the main course, and while I must say it was cooked to perfection, there wasn't nearly enough and it came with no sides. No rice, no bread, nothing. It was just a small portion of lamb, by itself. Then along came the desert, a few mini cakes and profiteroles. Again, a portion for 8people for a table of ten. The wine was delicious, and reasonable priced at €25 a bottle, however when the bill came we noticed that we were charged for the bottles of water that had been left on the table for us when we arrived. May I also state that the water was replaced throughout the meal without our requesting so, yet at no point were we told it was charged. When we questioned the waitress she told us that the also charge for water for large tables. Surely you should give water for free to large tables, or at least make them aware that you are charging. It was €1 per bottle of tap water. All in all, my €30 meal ended up costing me €55 - And I only had two glasses of wine. We were also charged a 12% service charge, something which was failed to be put on the menu. The service was not great, the waitress seemed disinterested in our table. It's a pity because the decor is beautiful, and the tiny portions of food we served was delicious, but I think the value was appalling and I will absolutely never eat here again.

Ate here on a Friday after work with a few of the work gang. We all loved the interior, very cosy with character. The low lighting and soft furnishings were also a hit. The food was plentyful but a bit heavy. The staff were friendly and we had a great night. The sharing starters were a nice touch. All in all a great time.

Ate here with my husband - had a cosy table near the kitchen which was lovely. For starters I had the Chicken Kebab - the harissa dip was rally hot & spicy. My husband had the mincemeat kofta kebab which was delicous... the yohurt was a great help to my dish! For mains I had the lamb, apricot, walnuts & almonds tagine - it was delicious - really tasty. My husband had the Chicken supreme tagine with pears & almonds - it was really nice - I'd get it the next time. Like an indian Pasanda without the cream sauce. In addition we ordered couscous, roasted veg & chips. We ordered banana & apple fritters & cardamon & lemon tart - both were fantastic. We had a few Moroccon beers too. We were completely stuffed afterwards. The waiters/waitresses were very nice but they seemed to disappear half way through the meal- we were waiting a good while for our mains. Otherwise I'd love to return & urge you to try it.

Myself and 4 girls where here last Thursday. I have to say it was amazing. The starff are very friendly and helpful. The decor is stunning. And the food is out of the world. I had the Chicken supreme tagine with caramelized pears and almonds. The portion size was huge and the pears where cooked to perfection. One of the other girls had the Chicken couscous with seasonal vegetables. Again the portion size was huge and the couscous was amazing. We will most certinally be going back here and we will be bringing the rest of our work mates with us.

Work Christmas lunch here and everyone loved it - glad as I picked! Massive amount to eat, everyone stuffed afterwards and great food (lamb dish was a bit salty though). Waiters were really attentive, and we ended up staying for ages after the meal, which was no problem for them.

A favourite of ours ... great atmosphere and calming decor. Friendly efficient service. Interesting menu .. skipped starters and was well satisfied with the house speciality .. Tajine. Washed down with a nice wine. The Moroccan coffee can be slow coming but well worth the wait. Prices reasonable but competition is hotting up in the area !!! Will def be back

We originally booked for 5.30pm but changed it to 6.30 without problems. We wanted the early bird menu but typically the best stuff was left off this menu so we splashed out. Honestly is was a tad more expensive than I hoped for but it was totally worth it. The place was hoping and there were alot of ethnic people there which made me feel at ease with the food given that it was Morrocan cuisine. We weren't left waiting for ages and when we asked for more bread they brought it down straight away. The bathrooms were even gorgeous. There was nothing spared, everything was so authentic and very enjoyable. Would love to go back!!!

I went here with two friends, we thought the place looked beautiful so we tried the early bird. We firstly waited about 20 minutes to be asked if we even wanted drinks, never mind our food order. When we did get our food order myself and my friend ordered the vegetarian option on the menu for our starters which while eating we realized there was meat in it. The staff didn't really seem to care if we enjoyed our food at all or the experience we had in their restaurant. The only good thing about the place was the comfortable chairs and the good wine. The service was terrible and it was not much better when we complained about the meat in the vegetarian option.

Went to Dada on Sat with my husband. I had the moroccan dips with bread and couldn't decide which dip was more delicious. I had the Pastela for my main and it was an amazing mix of flavours. Had the cheese cake for dessert which was nice but I would have liked it if they had a least one proper chocolate dessert. Atmosphere relaxed, Staff very attentive and food was delicious.

First visit to Dada was on a Friday night and it didn't disappoint. Wandered in without a reservation at 8pm and, though the restaurant was busy, they did accommodate us. We had to wait a while before a server came over for our order (we ordered drinks and dinner all in one go, as we'd been waiting about 20 minutes) but, after that, service was more attentive. And the food more than made up for the initial wait. We shared the aubergine pate and my friend had a selection of starters while I had one of the veggie tagines. The latter had a nice gentle kick to it (could have been a tiny bit spicier for my palate but it was really good). Generous portions, very tasty and we were allowed to linger over our wine, dessert and coffee without being rushed. It was good value for really nice food and I will definitely return.

Nice restaurant with nice decor and ambience. Service was poor and it was hard to get attention of the waiters. Admittedly the restaurant was busy on a Friday evening for the early evening menu. We both ordered the vegetable Tagine and were disappointed that despite the price and the wait there was very little in the vegetable tagine. The tagine cost €14.50 and for €13.95 around the corner you can get a very satisfying 3 course meal.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere and food at Dada. Very welcoming and warm and decor is fab. The early bird was excellent value and I thought the portions were very generous. We both had the marinated chicken kebab for starters it was delicious and came with flat bread and the harissa was good and spicy. For main I had the hake tagine, I was wary how fish would turn out in a tagine but it was succulent and so fresh and flavoursome, my friend had the lamb meatball tagine which was rich and warming. The service was good but the waiter was a little odd, abupt and not so friendly but the food onshone that and I'll be back!

Went to Dada last Friday with a group of 6 friends. I had never been before so didnt know what to expect. The ambience and decor is very nice, authentic morroccan looking. We got the set menu. Starters were lovely, if a bit small. One small platter for 6 people, but there wasn't 6 of everything so some people didnt get to try everything. I was a little disappointed with my mains. Veg was so over cooked. Lamb was tender but not the flavour I was expecting. I couldnt decipher many flavours. Desserts were disappointing: ice-cream and profiteroles. Over all not bad, a bit pricey 40 a head with 1 drink each. If I got back it will be for an early bird.

Solid meal, nice restaurant. We started with a selection of dips, a sausage dish and a kebab. The dips included humus, yoghurt and a tomato sauce. The humus was a bit bland but the tomato sauce was very good. The kofta kebab was great, very delicate meat and a garlic sauce. For mains we had chicken with cous cous, lamb tagine and pastela. It was my first time having pastela and won't be the last, a really unusual but delicious combination of quail, chicken, almonds, saffron and cinnamon in a sweet pastry. The wine list is not extensive but it's good value. There's a half decent verdejo on the list for 23 quid. Atmosphere was nice, good lighting and quite chilled.

Gorgeous atmospheric decor. Service was very attentive, I even knocked a glass off a table by accident and it was cleaned up immediatly. The early bird menu is excellent value. The tagines are so rich and tasty I only wish there was more choice of them on the early bird menu. The staff are friendly but not over-bearing. I love this spot for a quiet after work dinner mid-week.

Nice fresh food, but a little salty. They definitely need to add more vegetarian options to the menu, there's only about 2 veggie dishes on it! The dips are fantastic, I highly recommend ordering this to share with friends. Staff are friendly and attentive here, lovely atmosphere too. Some basic dishes are priced a little too expensively.

I have been quite desappointed about the food. I have chosen the Couscous Royal which was tasteless then I chose the "Real" Mint Moroccan tea which costs 3.20€ and had no Mint flavour at all and was not sweet unlike the real Moroccan Tea... the meal was not good at all, not tasting like real Moroccan food. Really desappointed about the food served there and does not deserve that price...

We were dying to try this restaurant after reading so many great reviews and a great selection of Veg Dishes as well. We were greeted and seated politely by the server. We would love to share our dining experience but our evening never got going, as our table was left unattended for 8-10 minutes. We have to leave the restaurant as nobody attended the table, shame can't speak about food. Thank You but No-Thank You

The most delicious meal I have had in quite a while. Presented looking for a table for two at 5.30 on a Saturday evening. Without a booking it was no problem at that hour and despite the restauran getting busier as the night went on, we were never rushed. We went for the early bird menu. I had the Harira Soup with Chickpeas and Lentils to start which was full of flavour. For my main I had the sublime Chicken, Potato, Olives and preserved lemon which was amazing. I didn't want it to end!! My dining partner had Spinich to start which was marinated in spices and served with Pitta Bread. For main she had Hake in spices and a tomato sauce and much like me she was savouring every mouthful. All washed down with Moroccan Mint Tea. We stayed on enjoying our wine and then decided to sample the typical Moroccan pastries for desert. 4 small pastries(more like large sweets) for €6.50 was a bit much but each one was amazing especially the white chocolate, coconut and almond truffle. I can't wait to go back already! Both times I have been there it has been wonderful.

This is a lovely restaurant. We arrived a little late and were greeted by an extremely friendly manager who assured us it was no problem. We were led to a table which was in an alcove- ideal for us as we had a lot of catching up to do! Our orders were taken and served promptly. The stuffed roast squid starter served with a spicy sauce was unusual but tasty. The other starter of spicy spinach was absolutely delicious. My main course of a kebab starter and a portion of spicy potatoes was very nice but the spicy lamb tagine was just fabulous. A sweet chicken tagine was also excellent. We were given a very pleasant assorted dessert plate for two people to share between the four of us on the house as I had mentioned Menupages when booking. Service was very efficient and friendly I will certainly return to try that spicy lamb tagine.

I found the service in this eatery to be consistently pleasant. It was a tad slow however but having said that each time the food was produced it was worth the wait. The food was most enjoyable and my dining companion agreed with me here. For starters we both had a soup. For mains I had meatballs whilst my companion chose hake. For desert my companion chose a chocolate sundae whilst I had some Moroccan pastries which were so good I ordered seconds. The atmosphere was good with a few big parties present in addition to a few other couples. I loved the decor here it certainly gives this eatery a uniqueness. My only gripe was that I thought three euro for a soft drink was a bit much. Based on todays visit I will be returning again and I would recommend a visit here you won't be disappointed.

Had an absolutely brilliant time here at the Menupages night on Thursday. I'd never tried Moroccan food before and also my first time in Dada - wow - it was so tasty!! I will definitely be coming back for more. It was lovely meeting new people and everyone was so friendly. We started off with a glass of Prosecco and sat outside having a chat. When we were seated inside we started off with a selection of appertisers which the table shared which I thought was a great idea as we could taste a bit of everything. I was pretty full after this cause there was so much! For mains I went for chicken supreme - again it was delicious - so flavorsome! Dessert was a selection of icecream and profiteroles - I was stuffed at this stage but still managed to fit some in. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful and explaining about the different dishes. So so impressed with the restaurant - I can't wait to visit again and I look forward to the next Menupages night!

Was here for the MenuPages night and had great fun meeting new people and trying new food. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere and the friendliness and efficiency of the staff make it a nice experience. The food itself is tasty with lots of variety and great value. I will definitely be coming back here again and bringing friends with me

Wow what a fabulous night we had in Dada last night at the MenuPages night we had so much fun ? The food and service was second to none. Starters we had a platter which the waiters explained each plate to us, this was a great way to get to taste a little of everything as I had never tried Moroccan food before. For the main course I had the hake fish which just melted in my mouth I was blown away by all the flavours in it. Dessert was ice cream and profiteroles followed by a Moroccan shot of alcohol which the waiters were eager for us to try! they were so nice I ordered another one! All in all it was the best night I have had in ages, I felt like I was on my holidays there with the Mediterranean atmosphere. If you have not tried Moroccan food before I highly recommend Dada I will definitely be back…thank you MenuPages

Went to Dada on a Tuesday night for a dinner with my husband. The restaurant was not empty, but was not too busy either. I had chicken liver for my starter, which was nice, but the portion was too big for me, so my hubby had to finish it :) He had spicy sausages, which were delicious. For the main I had a lamb tagine with apricots and walnuts (lamb was very tender and tasty, loved it!), and my husband had a tagine with meatballs - which was also nice, but I liked my lamb much better! :) We were stuffed after the meal and did not have room for dessert. My only complaint about this place would be that portions are too big, but I guess it's not really a complaint :) I gave this place 4 for atmosphere, as I would like to have a bit more light inside - the dim lighting they have is nice, but I would like to see how the dishes look like :)

ordered spicy potatoes. got wedges from the supermarket freezer. At 4.95 that is not on. Wine was nice. Ordered meatballs - only got 3 with not a lot of sauce. would have preferred more meatballs and sauce for the price. they were tasty though. Dont think I will be going back.

Dying to try this place as it ogt great reviews on menupages. I had a voucher from livingsocial, which they were not happy with and would not give us a table on Friday or Saturday night after 6.30pm. Deceided to go on thursday night. The place was empty, and it took the staff 15minutes before they took our order. The food was edible but not nice. We ordered the lamb meatballs, which were fine, but could have done with more tomoatoe sauce, as it was dry without. The lamb was falling off the bone but tasteless and for the spicy potatoes, tasted more like frozen wedges from some a supermarket. Not impressed, shame as the inside is really well decorated.

I booked a table for six here for a non-hen type hen dinner. i.e. no bunny ears or Learner Plates. We were half an hour late and I had a missed call from the restaurant, but even still I found the way they handled our late arrival quite obnoxious. The maitre d said he had given my table away so I said fine and apologized saying I though the booking was for 8-8.30. ANyway he made quite a big deal out of it so I said well do you have a table or should we go somewhere else. "I'll see what I can do." Takes us into the restaurant and there is our table not given away at all... So that kind of wound me up. Anyway apart from that the food was delicious, the service great and the ambience and decor really nice. We had the dinner menu and it was excellent but far too much food. I'd go back.

I Booked Dada for anniversary dinner largely based on menupages reviews. We opted to go on Sunday during early bird hours and im glad we did so because the live flamenco guitar really added to the occasion. We were pleasantly surprised by the interior of the restaurant which is ethnic, romantic and nicely lit but a little on the chilly side, the air con could do with being turned down a notch. We shared the merguez sausage to start which was very nice and i had the chicken tagine with caramised pears which was beautifully flavoured but after eating the whole dish i found it a little bit sweet which might not suit some people. My partner had the lamb tagine with apricots which again was beautiful and sweet. Personally i was full after the tagine but some people reccomend sharing a side portion of potatoes for a little variety. I also had a mint tea which was beautifully presented and poured dramatically! As for the service...i found the waiters were excellent, very helpful and curteous. I overheard a couple near us complaining that they were not being served quickly enough and they had to be somewhere else and i thought the staff dealt very well with them considering i found them to be quite rude. We were served very quickly and were not rushed out of the place which is often the case these days. Overall very good experience...will definately return but next time will try a few different smaller dishes.

Went here with four friends for an early bird. We all really enjoyed the atmosphere, and off course the food. Each of us had very different dishes, Fish, chicken, beef and vegetarian and we really enjoyed each course. Very reasonably priced including wine it was less than 25 Euro each. Will definitely be calling back. Staff were very friendly and service excellent.

Having never eaten Moroccan food before, i was looking forward to this restaurant and was not disapointed. We booked ahead through Menupages which turned out to be a good move as there were people waiting for tables when we got there. The food was excellant, no other words needed! We both had different chicken Tangines which were fabulous. Large portions and very tasty! We had the bread and dips for starter and couldnt finish our mains! Overall, i would say the service was slow because it was busy, but they definitely need to improve on that. The food was first class and good value for money. Would definitely return here, and recommend to others.

A group of 4 of us enjoyed some fine Moroccan cuisine last Sunday. Our second time coming to Dada and again we enjoyed a thoroughly delicious meal - you really cant go wrong with their all day early bird offer on a Sunday night. The starters were all delicious; however I would definately recommend the chicken skewers, they are so tender and literally fall apart in your mouth!! For mains I ordered the meatball tagine, as I was so happy with it the last time! Our mains were accompanied by sides of pitta bread and spicy potatoes (a definate must-order)! The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the night. Our meal was washed down with two bottles of Moroccan red. All in all a very enjoyable night!!

My wife and I ate here on a busy Friday evening. Just made it in before early bird deadline but Mrs decided to forego it in favour of a lamb tagine which was very meaty and quite tasty. I went for the EB and started with the chicken kebab, a good choice which we both nibbled on while we waited for mains. I had the chicken supreme tagine which was just about ok. The mint tea was a bit anaemic but the bottle of Moroccan beer was good if, as usual, a bit overpriced. Atmosphere was good and there was a nice buzz about the place. Service and toilets were very good. One small thing; there was an error on my bill where the early bird menu items were charged for individually, increasing the cost by a about €4. Waiter apologised and corrected it when I drew it to his attention.

I came here for the first time this weekend, for my 7 year anniversary with my boyfriend. We had a lovely meal and the staff were very welcoming, attentive and friendly. I had the spinach with olives and spices for starter, which was gorgeous - salty with subtle flavours. This came with three small slices of pitta and a side salad. My boyfriend had the harira soup which was a mixture of beans, chickpeas and vermicelli noodles, which he said was very tasty, warming and filling. This also came with pitta slices. Our mains were quite plain-flavoured, but I liked this as I could tell it was healthy and decent food. I ordered the carrot and pumpkin tagine with lentils. It wasn't much to look at and on first impression I was disheartened that there appeared to be so little carrot and pumpkin, but when I cut it up there was more than I originally thought and it was so tender and succulent. My boyfriend had the chicken cous cous with caramelized onions and sultanas. He said it was quite plain but had a really nice sweet kick to it and it was very filling and the chicken was tender and soft to cut into. There were a LOT of sultanas though, so I would not have liked that myself (well I'm a vegetarian so I wouldn't have picked that anyway!). We had some complimentary mint tea which was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend is not a big tea drinker at all, and even he was left wanting more! I'd definitely come here again (in fact I plan to visit next month with my father to avail of the early bird, for which we got stamps to get a free glass of wine with on our next visit). The atmosphere is great, we had a corner table with loads of comfy cushions, and the staff didn't rush us to leave so it was nice to relax and talk after the meal without feeling like you're not wanted there. I'd recommend it to anyone!

I went back here to try again as on my first visit, while the food was excellent, I found the service to be poor. I booked here again last week for a party of 5 for the early bird, but tried to change it that day to a slightly later reservation as some people couldn't make it on time, but unfortunately I was told that I couldn't, and that seating us at 7 would mean that we couldn't avail of the early bird (even though they say on here that the early bird is until 7). One of our party didn't arrive until just after 7, and we were told there was a second sitting at 9, so we'd need to be out by then, and if we didn't feel that we'd be finished in time, they could move us to another table when we were finished eating. Our orders were taken promptly and arrived out quite quickly, the squid was good, as was the kofta. One thing I didn't like was that they kept filling up our wine glasses every couple of minutes, and when the bottle was empty, we were brought another (open one) without being asked. The mains arrived out in record time, we barely had time to digest our starters, and the portions were absolutely enormous, not one of us could finish them. Sadly, the sausages were undercooked on my dish, although the tagines that the some of the others got were delicious. We ordered at 7.15, and were finished our mains by 8.15, ordered coffee and at 8.45, they reminded us that they needed the table back, so we requested our bill. As we were sorting the money out, they reminded us again that they needed the table, and started clearing the table off, including wine in our glasses that we hadn't finished. The place was extremely busy which helps understand why they were in such a rush to seat the party that had arrived. I hope that the 9 o'clock sitting had a pleasant evening because sadly with two bad experiences from service I won't be going back.

Came here to give myself a birthday treat and it never let me down. I'm impressed from the moment i stepped in to the restaurant. I like the Moroccan style decoration, the atmosphere is warm and cozy, staffs are very friendly and passionate. Thanks to the staff's recommendation, i had the tasty chicken liver kebab and the absolutely delicious sweet meaty lamb cooked in tagine. I really love that and i'm sure i will come back again and again.

I organized a dinner for 6 here last sat. The ambiance and decor was amazing and I really really wanted to adore this place... I ordered the Fish Tagine with couscous, unfortunately the couscous didn't arrive. Even though I had brought the waiters attention to the missing dish twice at the start of the meal, it eventually arrived when we were finishing up. The Tagine was good, a bit olivey for my taste but good nonetheless, the bread was also good... Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals but no-one raved about them... and they were not cheap. The main thing that bugged me though was that a 12.5% service charge had been automatically included in our bill. I always leave a tip, the amount dependent on quality of service. Had I a choice in this instance I would have probably only left a 5%-8% tip considering they had neglected to provide all food ordered even after being reminded... twice. In the end due to the fact that we were splitting the bill they received a further €10 or so, on top of the 12.5% charge they had taken from us already. Maybe they were having an off day, I'm so disappointed as I wanted to love this place, but I doubt I will eat here again. Its grand, but in a recession we all try and excel in customer service no matter what job we're in, if we are lucky enough to have a job. I did not feel that our party of 6, really mattered to these people. There are enough other excellent restaurants in the city that appreciate the business...

This is a great place for atmosphere, especially if you are celebrating something special, as the selection of wines is very good. The menu is quite extensive, and the couscous and tagine dishes are quite varied. The quality is very high, and the spices are very well sourced. The service is always excellent.

Had dinner here, choosing from the early bird and set menu. Chicken kebabs with harissa dip for myself to start, chicken livers for my dining companion. The kebabs were succulent and tasty, the dip a nice kick to go with them. Served with some dressed salad leaves and pita, it's a very generously sized starter. My companion enjoyed her chicken livers too, which I was pleased to see weren't overdone and dry. For mains I had the meatball kofta tagine, served with bread. It came out piping hot, again a generous portion, and was quite tasty, albeit it could have used a touch more salt. Unfortunately, the tables were devoid of any salt & pepper shakers. My companions quail & chicken pastela from the set menu, however, was simply amazing. Deliciously tender meat with crisp filo pastry and crunchy almonds went wonderfully well with the icing sugar and cinnamon topping. It was very moreish, and deserved better than the bog-standard square white plate it was served on; some variant of the colourful starter plates we saw would have made this really stand out. Mint tea and a fairly simple dessert of vanilla ice-cream, profiterole, walnut bite and chocolate ball was shared. Dada has a nice interior, a lot of attention to detail with the authentic decor, although the tables were slightly too close together. Service was very friendly and prompt, which was great. All in all, minor quibbles aside, Dada is very good value for money (€50 for the lot), with good food, friendly staff and a unique, welcoming interior.

My friend and I enjoyed some tasty tapas here before Christmas. The atmosphere was lacking but it was early evening. The food was good and the wine was a little over priced for the quality. All in all, it was a good experience.

Went here for the first time on a friday night and loved it! The atmosphere was really nice, service was good and the food was amazing. They even had moroccoan wine which I found really good for the money. I had little spicy kebabs on a skewer as a starter and my gf had their dips, she particulary liked the hummus which she never had before. As a main I ordered the chicken tajine with preserved lemons and olives which was sooo flavourful, on the salty side though... I will be back soon...

This place has a lovely atmosphere, the interior definitely suits the food served and creates a unique experience. The menu offer was ingenious as it included a starter and desert platter, so you were not spoilt for choice and able to taste everything. Having said that each of the starter was delicious. The chicken skewers tender and perfectly seasoned, the sausages spicy and the Aubergines a taste sensation. For the main courses we had 3 different tangines, they were all ok, but nothing to be too much excited about. I would have expected more oriental flavor. The Dessert platter on the other hand was great and the mint tea that came with it was the perfect addition. the only letdown was the service as they seemed to struggle with organization. We waited more than 45 minutes for the starter whereas the table with guests who arrived well 15 minutes later than us got served first. But overall a great experience, worthy for a second visit.

Went here with the supper clubbers during the snow ... and it was just lovely. The atmosphere was warm and the spicy food really suited the bad weather! I had sardines in filo pastry rolls to start which was delicious and for main I had sausage and lamb - the meat was extremely tender although the cous cous that accompanied was a little bland - it could have done with a little sauce perhaps. The service was quite good - although the coffee machine was broken which was a bit of a problem. My fellow supperclubbers seemed pleased overall with their food too, so, coupled with 2 very reasonably priced bottles of wine all in all it was a successful evening!

Have really enjoyed both trips here. Lovely cosy, atmosphere. The early bird menu is excellent value too. And even though I got the impression it's frequented mostly by couples and groups, I was there with my sis and her 2-year old and they were very obliging and brought out some toddler-friendly food.

It is my first time when I felt the urge to comment on a restaurant. I anticipated a lovely evening in the company of my North African friend, instead we left deeply disappointed and somehow bitter about the way the evening went. To start with I admit the food was very good except for the Harira soup which was a big disappointment. The mains were very good. The main reason why we didn't enjoy our time in this particular restaurant was slow and unfirendly staff. My companion was deeply offended by one of the staff who made a very unpleasant gesture which was to signal that he was getting annoyed with us. When we complained to the manager, he seemed to take it on board. Despite this, the service was slow and chaotic for the rest of the evening. To make things worse, at around 8.40pm a waiter came to us, and told us we need to vacate the table in 10 minutes. When we made the booking for the evening we were not made aware that there were two seating on the evening. Overall, having paid a bill of €85, we left deeply disappointed. I will not be going back there any time soon.

Went here for a birthday meal with my husband and brother and his partner. Really lovely restaurant, great ambiance and decor. The food was delicious and really attentive service. It's just a pity that it is a little on the pricey side, otherwise it would become a real regular with me. I think it's location probably means they have to charge higher prices, I'm sure they pay crazy rates on South William street, so I sympathise. Unfortunately it means that I will be only going there on special occassions!

Went to Dada for an office xmas party. Set menu was good value at 22 euro per head. Starters were a selection of olives/pitta bread etc which were very tasty and we received generous portions. I had the Hake for main course which was very nice. For dessert they served ice cream and small pastries on platters which was good. It was my first visit and I would definitely recommend it.

Had seen such great reviews about Dada was looking forward to trying it out. Even though it was a cold icy night last Friday, we headed into town for xmas shopping and just took a chance and walked in to see if we could get a table. No problem but I guess because not many people were out and about. Its a lovely restaurant, I liked the decor and lighting. We were given a table for two naturally but I would say the tables for two are very close together, so a bit of a squeeze to get into your seat with several shopping bags. We ordered two starters, the dips with bread and the stuffed squid. The dips were nice but nothing to write home about and expensive at nearly 8 euros. However the squid was amazing, stuffed with minced lamb and in a delicious tangy sauce. I had the chicken in a preserved lemon sauce with olives which came with little cut roasted potatoe (which was a bit odd) but again the chicken was tender and the sauce fantastic. He ordered the lamb cus cus which was very hearty but a little dry as it doesnt come in a sauce but we will know next time to go for a saucier dish. He finished off with a yummy chocolate sundae and we had a litre of spicy sangria with the meal...came to 84 euros. Pretty good value and the service was execllent. Will be going back.

Really nicely done up inside and delicious food. My only complaints would be that the service was very slow, considering how empty it was when we were there, and that it ends up being quite expensive because you have to order rice/couscous seperately - wouldn't hurt them to throw in a small bowl of couscous when you're paying €20 for a main!

This remains such a good spot for tasty food, good service and with a great vibe to meet friends and catch-up over endless options on the menu. We had some tagines for mains and the mixed platter for starter nibbles. Even the wine list doesn't disappoint. We'll be back.

Singularly the worst value restauant experience of my life. The Christmas set menu involves a couple of spring rolls to start, a comparatively minimal main course, and some balls of ice cream for desert. We were a group of 10, had fourr bottles of wine, and the bill came to €75 each. Not only that, but they left my jacket outside during the meal and it was cold and wet when they returned it. When I complained the manager told me that if I had asked for my coat to be kept inside they would have. With a straight face. Never again.

went here with my boyfriend for dinner for my first adventure into Moroccan cuisine - it was great! Lovely atmosphere - very relaxing and cosy. I really liked the arched doorways! I had the hummous to start followed by the chicken/pear tagine. It was delicious- although I did find the tagine a tad bland. My boyfriend had the chicken skewers and the chicken/lemon tagine- he said both were delicious!! we had our first taste of harissa - WOW its hot! great service and would definitely return.

Went here for dinner recently as I had a voucher that reduced the bill by about €20. The decor is unique and interesting with Moorish touches and the atmosphere was lively but still romantic. The restaurant is deceptively spacious and has a front and back section, the back section being much larger. I had the aubergine pate for starters and my companion had the bread with 4 dips. We both loved our starters. My aubergine was served slightly warm with cold pita bread and my companion was served cold dips with hot bread.I would have preferred if my bread was also served hot.I had the seven vegetables tagine and my companion had the pumpkin tagine. They were both served piping hot in clay pots with bread. The pumpkin tagine was far superior in depth of flavour and variety of flavour. The seven vegetable tagine lacked a strong flavour. We were both full so didn't order dessert. It was good value with the voucher but my main course would not have been good value if full price as tasted like a simple dish I could have made myself.Would return again for the starters and pumpkin tagine if I get another vocuher.

I have been wanting to try Dada for awhile - the Dine in Dublin 25 euro menu was a great excuse for me and the girls to visit! The decor is fab with lots of terracotta colours, candles etc and is divided into smaller areas, all of this creates great atmosphere. Even though there were a few big groups in the restaurant, we still felt like we had enough privacy! We ordered a selection of starters from meatballs to mackeral cigars, and everything was tasty. For mains, I had a lamb tangine, the lamb was beautifully cooked. The girls tried the hake tangine which was even nicer! The tangines were served in those super pots. Extensive wine list also noted. Definitely would go back - especially as their set menus offer loads of choice which is an added bonus for set menus/ early birds.

Had an enjoyable dinner last night, chicken skewers were enjoyable as a starter. Had hake tagine for main which was a little oily. Portions are generous. Decor is really cool inside. Staff were very friendly if quite slow, perhaps as they seemed understaffed. Charged us for Mint Teas which were supposed to be part of Early Bird Menu but seemed too much hassle to argue.

My friend and I visited Dada during the last Dine in Dublin week. Went in for an early dinner, lovely atmosphere and cosy decor. The menu was very interesting and very good value. i Had the Lamb tajine which was mouth watering and my friend opted the chicken dish with lime and thyme also excellent. Service was very friendly. Will go back!

Myself and my wife had an early bird here on Sunday evening at 6:30. Smattering of tables occupied at the time. Food was great with healthy portion sizes. Service could not be faulted. My wife had merguez sausage couscous with caramelised onions and I had the spicy kofta meatball tagine, both of which we enjoyed. Very nice setting and decor.

My wife and I paid a visit last night without a booking and we were seated immediately. Great authentic decor and the place was almost full. Plenty of chatter around the tables which lent to the atmosphere. 2 Morroccan lagers and two starters 1 chicken kebab and o1 breads with dips. Excellent dips and spreads and the chicken was terrific. 2 Tagines-1 lamb with apricots & 1 spicey mince meatballs with and egg added & cooked in the heat of the tagine. Both went back empty. Service was good and polite. Tip- one starter of bread would have been enough for us. The bathrooms did let the restaurant down. While clean it could have been decorated in the style of the restaurant. Great food which would have been even better if it was a cold night. Well seasoned. No salt & pepper on the tables and the food didnt need anything added. We will return, and soon. The bill came to €67.

Went here last night for dinner with my Dad and was very impressed. The atmosphere is great and the decor is beautiful. We were seated quickly and were very glad to look after suitcases for us. The staff were very polite and efficient. Service was a good speed too. House wine was excellent, I really enjoyed the S.African Pinot. For starters we shared the dips and bread and the filo pastries which were very tasty. Main course I had chicken and potatoes with olives and preserved lemons. Dad had a chicken dish too with almonds. Both were served piping hot in a tagine with flat bread. Both bowls went back empty. For dessert we shared the Moroccon desserts, these were a selection of mini honey and nut desserts which were perfect with cups of coffee. Bill came to 70 which for three courses is very respectable. I would highly recommend this restaurant and Ill be visiting again in the future.

Had the pumpkin, lentil and spinach salad to begin with, which was huge and very tasty. For a main, I had the sausage, lamb and cous cous dish, which was very nice, but not able to finish as the meat was quite filling. Great atmosphere - feels like you are truly in Morocco.

Went for an early bird with a group of friends for a birthday, the decor is amazing, but obviously on a monday the atmosphere wasn't great. We all had two courses from the early bird, i had the sausages to start, very tasty, and the hake for mains, again very tasty. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food, a great place to try if you want something different.

I’ve been meaning to come here for some time now, but was put off by the thought of potentially very heavy meaty dishes. I must admit that what you order is exactly what you get and vegetables do not seem to feature with the meat dishes. However both myself and my husband were happy with what we got and the food was really flavoursome and delicious. My soup to start was a little too spicy for my liking and the flavour was a little bland, but my husband’s salad was excellent and quite different. My lamb tangine main course was delicious. The lamb was very tender and the sauce was sweet and tasty. The atmosphere is alright, but it’s a bit too dark and lacks something.

Hubbie and I decided to have a bite here before a comedy gig. We didnt want to spend much money so we opted for the wine bar rather than the restaurant. We had four starters and a few glasses of house wine. Again, as a vegi found the food fabulous and the choice great and affordable. Highly recommended.

A group of four of us had dinner here. The Moroccan decor is lovely, and the food was excellent. I had the zaluuk to start and it was delicious - more of an aubergine stew than a pate, which it's described as. For mains I had the slow roast shoulder of lamb, which was meltingly tender and falling off the bone, and served with roasted vegetables. It was scrumptious, though not for the faint-hearted - it could have fed the four of us! Others in our party had tajines (a chicken, a lamb and a fish one), and all were very tasty. Service was friendly, but it was a bit hard to get attention after initial ordering. All in all it was a very enjoyable experience and we would all be happy to return.

I dont 'get' tagines so really I was wrong for this restaurant. The food came out in the pot it was cooked in. It was a lump of chicken swimming in broth with potatoes bobbing about around it, it was more like fishing than eating - oh for the want of a plate! It is the real thing for immersing yourself in moroccan culture but sometimes I just want a meal out and this was too much of an experience. I thought it was expensive too

Armed with my 20% off Discover Ireland voucher, stepping into this cool, cosy, Moroccan haven while heavy rain pounded the pavements of Wicklow Street, I was greeted by friendly staff, curved, dark wood furniture, a mosaic tiled floor bathed in dim, romantic light courtesy of intricately patterned hanging lanterns, and shown to an intimate little table by the distressed orange walls. In the middle of the room long, cushion-clad benches are the centre pieces, accommodating larger parties. Deciding to indulge in this authentic, Moroccan experience, I ordered a chicken supreme tagine with caramelised pears and almonds. Served in a traditional, glazed, clay pot, it was simply delicious. The sweetly flavoured pears mingled beautifully with the tender chicken, while the crunchy almonds added an extra kick. A generous side order of roasted vegetables added to this fantastic fusion of flavours, and of course, we couldn't resist a bowl of moreish, marinated olives. Service was excellent, but slipped a little as the evening wore on and the place got busier. This is the perfect spot for those who enjoy the delightful experience of fine foreign dining, although I hope that the staff figure out how to deduct a straight 20% from the bill for future customers, instead of dropping the price of two side dishes, which didn't quite add up to a full 20%.

I love this restaurant. When you walk in you feel like you're abroad, you forget you're in Dublin, the decor is fab. The service was excellent, very attentive and friendly, yet unobtrusive. We thought the food was very tasty and just the right size portions. And the wine wasn't too expensive. When we got our bill we were quite surprised at how reasonable it was! And we were free to stay for as long as we wanted, they don't do the early and late sittings which is good because there's no pressure on you then. I would definitely recommend this place and I have become a fairly regular customer, recommending it to all my friends.

Impoliteness and Unexperienced staff are there. They are not used to treat the clients in a decent and polite way. The food is good to some extent, but there are a lot of missing dishes to complete a meal, like for instance no green fresh salad. When I have asked for something that is not on the menu of prices, the staff was not sure of what it is possible to order. The prices of some soft drinks, not on the menu, exceeded 5 (five) euros for a very small bottle! We went there about 6 (six) times and exactly the same negative points were shown. Finally, I am not encouraged to go there again at all and won't recommend this restaurant to any of my friends.

I was taken to Dada by the hubby on a Tuesday night for my birthday. It had a decent crowd for that time of the week and a bit of atmosphere with the Moroccan decor. I had the cheesy filo to start and it was gorgeous. For mains we both had tagines, I went for the Chicken and Pear and it was really good, H had a lamb one and also enjoyed it. For dessert H had organised with the restaurant to bring out a cake, it was a seriously moorish cheesecake with a birthday message on top and the waiter sang me happy birthday! Slightly embarrassing but above and beyond on the service front.

There was a bit of a smell going down to the toilets, though the toilets didn't smell. I think toilets tell alot about a place. Atmosphere was lovely, food was great too. Bit expensive for what I got though I thought! I have had better for cheaper, maybe I was paying for the guitarist who was playing in the corner!

Had early bird here - really excellent! Lovely food, very good value, friendly service. I couldn't fault this. The decor is very nice. As there were 3 of us, we tried a number of different starters and main courses - all were very good. Only small thing is that tagines are served very, very hot and it takes quite a while for them to cool down enough to eat them.

Extremely good find. Here 2 weeks ago with birthday party of 14. Buzzing place, great atmosphere. Fantastic service even though only 2 or 3 waiters & place was jointed. No major delays on food & service was perfect. Served by a very friendly and efficient waiter. Food delicious. Have never had moroccan but will be back for more. Exquisite chicken tagine with wedges which was divine. Very nice pumpkin salad to start also. Set 3 course meal is 30 euro which is a tad expensive considering you share a dessert with about 6 other people for that price. Only let-down therefore is dessert - basically ice-cream & assortment of desserts put onto communal plate & you take from that. Ice-cream not good as it melts!!! All in all, fabulous experience & interior is beautiful. Good for birthdays etc. Will be back as a treat as it's not cheap. Also found wine to be quite expensive.

Dada is my new favourite restaurant. I went twice in a couple of weeks because I enjoyed it so much. I first visited on a Friday after work about 6.30 but we kept our table until after 10.30 as they allowed us to remain seated with a bottle of wine. The food was excellent. As a result I returned for an early bird soon after on a Saturday evening. We didn't linger this time as we had arrangements but the service and food was impeccable. I had the chicken kebabs to start, served with pitta bread and the most divine harissa I have ever tasted. For main I had the fish tagine - both times I visited because I enjoyed it so much. The preserved lemons and the olives throughout the tagine just made it so authentic and it was suitably spicy. A side of pitta bread and cous cous accompanied the meal. The desserts were the usual moroccan style - rosewater cheescake etc, I'm not one for dessert so I didnt indulge but my friend declared it delicious. The only problem I had with the restaurant was that they didnt have our choice of wine from the wine list, but there was an alternative so we were satisfied to change our choice. The waiters were attentive and friendly without being over-bearing. I will definitely return.

I have been to Marrakech and this place really feels like being back there. Very romantic for a date! The food was very good and great value for an early bird. The staff was very friendly and attentive in an invisible way. Proper arabian courtesy. The big surprise was the maroccan coffee, very different and so good.

First time here, and really enjoyed it. We went very early (5pm) and so it was completely empty aside from our table but because of the snug, enclosed little booths and layout of the tables it didn't feel like we were all alone! Service was great too - it would have been easy to overpower us but the level of attention was just right. The decor is fantastic, we all loved it. Real attention to detail. We ordered from the €20 early bird which included a starter, a main and mint tea. All the food was delicious and the mint tea was just superb. We also shared a plate of tiny Moroccan desserts which were divine. I will definitely be back.

went with a friend, had passed by a lot and thought the outside looked gorgeous, when i rang to book - i was given a choice of 7pm or 9.30pm - I hate when a restaurant forces you into eating at their set times.. but we went for 7pm.. on arrival, restaurant is gorgeous, decor is really nice and it has what i imagine to be an authentic feel to it.. staff are very nice & attentive, but the restaurant was freezing - so much so that i mentioned it to one of the waiters who told me that it takes a while to heat up.. not easy to relax & enjoy when ur shaking with the cold! id the marinated chicken kebab which i must say - was fab! really tender chicken & gorgeous spicy sauce. my pal had the mini cigar - which is basically a more bland version of a chinese spring roll - he wasnt impressed! on the recommendation of the Tangine of Spicy Lamb - i asked if it was really spicy, was told it was, when it arrived, i was given a spicy sauce on the side, which i was told to add as i liked... this to me does not make a spicy lamb dish!! it was ok, lamb was very tender but very bland. my pal wasnt happy with his dish at all. we had dessert which was big let down. we wont be going back

I ate here on Saturday night 10th April and the whole experience was very enjoyable. The restaurant is done out very well and very ambient. The starter and the main course were very good - we both had tagines. We shared a starter which was the right size as the tagine was very filling. Good service. I wouldn't bother with the desserts as both disappointed. We returned the choclate brownie. Perhaps go downt the route of eating Indian and don't both with desserts. Enyoyable and will return again.

Firstly I have to say that the value my girlfriend and I got when we visited Dada was excellent; it was during the "Dine In Dublin" week though, so we had a three-course meal for €30. Not typical. The food was very good, mini cigars and chicken skewers were very well received. Better still were the tagines that we both got. Tasty spices, a little bit of heat from the accompanying Harissa dip, but nothing overpowering if you didn't want it. My only disappointment was the desserts that arrived out on a mini-platter (that may have been to do with the €30 deal), but were obviously not of as high a quality as the rest of the food. My guess is bought-in. Really enjoyable night and the atmosphere was great; proper moroccan music and vibe, until a few more people arrived later on and it seemed to swap to something more European.

First visit here so wasn't sure what to expect. Lovely interior which my friends (who have been to Morocco) tell me was very authentic. I had the bread & dips to start - lovely selection with particular good hummus. My main course was a lamb tagine - tasty, but I should have ordered rice with it - it just needed more solidity. Other starters were wrapped sardines and the 'mini cigars' (a bit like meat spring rolls - and very tasty). The other mains were a chicken tagine - which came with really nice potatoes - and the spicey lamb tagine (rather similar to my own - and again I think rice would have improved it). We had a plate of moroccon pastries for dessert plus tea/coffee. Bottle of moroccan wine and sparking water brought the bill to €120 which was reasonable. Service was a bit slow - and the waiter 'lost' the piece of paper with our order initially - but it was busy so we forgave him!

This was my second visit to Dada. There was a large group of us there on this occasion. The staff managed very well with the number. We had the bread and dips to start and I had the potato and pumpkin tagine. The food here is fantastic. Everyone else had tagines and there was not a scrap of food left by anyone. I would recommend Dada to anyone. We had a sauvignon blanc which was also very nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. the surroundings are cosy, very good atmosphere. A++++

I really loved this place. I went with a group from work and had the group value menu - €29 for 3 courses and everyone enjoyed it. I had the mixed dips for starters and the quail pie for main - both were tasty and so fresh. we then had a dessert platter to share with mint tea - the baklava was so nice. The staff are lovely and the decor is cool. Great value for money - and wholesome food. Can't wait to go back.

i visited here with my boyfriend on saturday night. We had a lovely evening and the atmosphere and service were great. The food was nice enough with my boyfriend being very impressed with his lemon chicken dish. I had the lamb and while the meat itself was very tender the dish on the whole didnt have much of a kick. We ordered a shared starter of pitta and dips which was lovely and a bottle of white wine for 22euro brought the whole meal up to 63. Although its not way over the top for what we had we did feel that there are much better value restaurants out there. In saying that the staff were lovely and everyone in the restaurant was clearly enjoying themselves including us. Might not go back for ourselves but would possibly bring a friend there to try something different! also would be great for a girls night out as its really comfortable and accomodating and the place looks the part

Although Leg space was extremely tight, the atmosphere made up for this, felt like you were in Morocco, not Dublin! Food was nice, although portion size was way too big in case of cous cous dishes anyway. Service with starters was a little slow but service in general was very good.

I came here for Mother's day, we all got the early bird; starter, main and mint tea for €20. It's a small bit pricey for an early bird but definitely worth it, because the food was scrumptious! I got the Harira to start, which is a huge bowl of lentil soup, it was so delicious. My main was the lemon tagine, with beans, courgettes and some other things, there were so many flavours in it and the portion was huge. The mint tea at the end was a nice finishing touch. The atmosphere inside is really cosy, would be idea for a couple. My brother got the Moroccan coffee to finish and it was absolutely gorgeous, kind of spicy flavour to it. I will definitely come again.

Went to dada on Friday night, we were there at 7:00 as they couldn’t take a booking for 7:30, so I thought this place will be packed, as they showed us to our table we only saw about 3 other couples. The place was cold and we were told that since they only open at 6 it takes a while to warm up,, The staff were quite prompt and menus came quickly, wine ordered, food ordered and ready to go in a few short minutes. I had the mini cigar and have to say I have had better in the local takeaway, my friend ordered the chicken kebab which was much better, I should have listened to her, for mains I decided on the kofta meatballs which were just ok, not any great flavour, and I do like kofta meatballs but these just didn’t do it for me, Spicy Lamb was ordered on the other side of the table and I wondered did I get the bad deal again as it looked lovely, however, spicy it was not, the waiter explained to my now curious friend that you must put the spice on yourself as they don’t want to make it too spicy for people,,, we thought that was a little strange, why have “spicy” on the menu or why not ask if we want it medium or hot, so as my friend (now the chef) spiced up her own food it still didn’t live up to expectations, dessert not worth mentioning but we stayed on for a few beers after, restaurant still not full and us still wondering why we were made to rush for a 7:00 booking. When leaving we got that “wont be back” feeling.

Had dinner here with friends on a quiet Sunday night. We ordered beers to start but were told that they had none left. I ordered hake and was told they had none of that left either! Was a little disappointed to say the least. The wine was nice, the food we did order was fine. Had we been told there was no hake or beer at the beginning we would have went elsewhere. I wont be rushing back.

This was my first visit to DaDa and it's somewhere I'll definitely go again. The bill came to €84 for two starters, two mains, one dessert, one liqeur and a bottle of wine - really good value for the quality of the experience. The mini cigar starter was light and flavoursome and the goat's cheese salad consisted of good mixed leaves with soft delicious cubes of cheese. The hake tagine was well spiced but in a way that you could taste every one, it was lovely. The chicken breast couscous was delicately flavoured and thoroughly tasty. The rosewater cheesecake was of a good consistency and quite luscious. The service was friendly and relaxed, the lighting and music were just right and it was very comforting on a cold night.

Went to Dada for the Early Bird. I love the atmosphere - it is not overly kitchy, but has low-key lighting and you feel relaxed and cosy. It is perfect for a couple night-out, but also for bigger parties as their are some niches with longer tables. I had stuffed squids as starter and then the Lamb Tagine. The squids were a bit rubbery, but nicely spiced. And I was impressed by the Tagine as it had loads of lamb meat in it. It was really tasty and filling. In that respect it was good value and you get a moroccan mint tea at the end.

This restaurant is a bit of a hidden gem, it was recommended to me by a friend who had been there for lunch - I went for the early bird it was really nice we all had the starter plate (between 3) and then the Tangine lamb it was very succulent and you could taste the spices, i believe the chef is Moroccan - it was very quiet the night we were there, but the atmosphere was very good all the same, nice music and attentive wait staff - good value for an early bird definitely return very soon.

Amazing food, great atmosphere and top class service. All in all one of the best meals I have had in Dublin for years! They said chef was Moroccon - the flavours and spices were fantastic - and to me, tasted very authentic. I have already been recommending to my friends and will be back again soon.

this is such a cosy little restaurant, can be quite romantic, we always go for the early bird which is great value but unfortunately the food never changes on it, its always the same offerings on the early bird menu. the service is excellent and the staff are quite discreet, always there if you need them but never hover over the table, the food is excellent, i love the lamb tagine and the tuna fishballs are really scrummy if you like fish, go here at least once to try it, you wont be disappointed

Atmospheric & quality food! We visited this restaurant during the busy christmas party period and after taking the day off work to do our christmas shopping. We had no reservation but after waiting with a glass of wine for a free table we were shown our seats. Staff were decent but obviously under pressure with large office parties to look after. After the stressfull day shopping this was a great spot to unwind with wine & good food. We'd eat here again soon. First time with Morrocan food but we loved it!

Used my menupoints and great value. Very tasty food, and enough choice on the lunch menu for us both. The dipping plate, the couscous salad, quite big portions - so don't fill up. Mains were full of flavour and piping hot. Chardonnay wine wasn't nice but they changed no problem at all :) Staff attentive and friendly. didn't have desert but would definitely return, good value, food, service and decor. Will definitely return but maybe in evening though for better atmosphere,

The decor and atmosphere of this restaurant are it's real selling points. The food, the hake tagine and lamb tagine were good, but nothing special and the mint tea was below par. Yet we were both completely seduced by the ambiance and were making plans to return with a big group next time. The food may be moroccan, but the service is rather french - it's very hard to catch anyones eye for things like more wine, the bill etc.

I love this restaurant. Myself and 2 others arrived here, without a reservation on a Saturday night in December. The staff were very friendly and though the place was busy, they were able to accomodate us. The food was great. This is the second time I've eaten here with groups of people and we have never had a bad dish. The food is tasty and very more-ish. The staff have been effiecient and friendily. And once inside you do half forget where you are. All in all this is somewhere to return to.

Six of us arrived for our nine pm booking and were led straight to our waiting table. Three had the A la carte and 3 had the value menu. Starters were very nice great flavours, there was a bit of delay on the mains but when the arrived everyone was happy. Nobody left anything. Only complaint was that three of the wines I picked weren't available. Over a great night, lovely surroundings and atmosphere.

I ate here on Saturday evening with my boyfriend and we both had great things to say about it. From the very friendly and attentive service to the beautiful food and lovely authentic Moroccan settings, I was highly impressed with the Dada experience. We both ordered from the Early Bird menu and had different dishes each. Without doubt, the meat they serve is superb and overall, it was a very satisfying meal. One gripe that I had however was that it advertised outside an early bird menu from 5pm - 6.30pm. We arrived at 6pm and were given the Ala Carte Menu and I had to ask our waiter for the Early Bird menu. If you advertise something, I think you should offer it, without the customer having to ask.

lovely surroundings, gorgeous tables, plates etc. wanted to know where they got their stuff. food very well cooked. meat so tender. got harira soup and chicken couscous. both very tasty.however, some minor complaints.... staff badly trained. lack of communication between them.they were very pleasant so i dont blame them , just management. also it was very cold where we were situated near the door. the bar was badly stocked also. no vodka or bacardi. would return. great value for food. not so much for drinks.... 6.50 for a malibu , then 3.00 for a coke. scandalous!

Something different - Moorish food. We went as group of 6 and staff were really helpful. We got the Christmas menu, so all you choose is main course (we had spicy lamb tangine & chicken supreme). The starters were great - first lovely tappenades and then a platter of 6 bite sized starters. The room is cosy and nicely divided up, so you don't feel like it's one big room. The desserts were also a mix of 4 minis (although they were standard enough and no real Moroccan influence). Mint tea to finish. All in all - well worth it and I will be going back.

On arriving at Dada our party of 8 was met by a genial member of staff. After taking our seats he explained to us that we would get a couple of plates of food, containing all the starters. So much for personal choice, but what the hell we thought! It's Christmas! Next, we were doled out some 'Christmas menus', with a set list of food choose from - so forget budgeting your night and planning what you want to eat beforehand. Menus aren't even an option. It was like being in a cafeteria. Incidentally, not only did it tell us what we were having for dinner - which was particularly unexciting for the vegetarians in our party, it also failed to point out the price, which as it turned out was extortionate. Next, the food. To describe the food here as bland would be to do the world of food criticism a grave disservice. To call what they serve here as culinary platitudes would be more accurate. Somehow my main course of chicken, raisins, couscous and chickpeas morphed into a yellow banality of such tastelessness that I was left asking my fellow diners to check my food just in case my taste buds had broken down for the night. Needless to say, all of our party (except one) had a problem with the food. (He was lucky enough to have ordered something with a spicy kick). After eating these humble, potato-heavy dishes (in the middle of a recession I hasten to add) we were then delivered a bill for over 40 euro a head. (Not including wine - which as it happened was pretty nice). As a point we shelled out the bill to the cent (a 12.5% service charge is automatically included for parties of 5 or more), and as we were leaving our waitress while counting the money laughed acerbically to herself at the point we were trying to make. (This leads me to believe that the restaurant doesn't actually split this between workers - disgraceful.) In the event, the bitter taste left in my mouth on leaving was actually a welcome relief after a meal of such tastelessness

The decor is cool and its definitely different to most restaurants. Very friendly staff - we arrived a couple of minutes after the cut off for the early bird (which is relatively early at 6.30pm), but we were still allowed to have it. Lovely piping hot winter comfort food, nothing that you probably couldn't do yourself with a bit of effort, but the presentation was good and atmosphere was relaxed.. i was a bit cold in my short sleeved top which took away from it a bit. worth a visit i would say.

Used to going into town a meeting friends for drinks but alas I'm getting too old for handling a whole evening of drinking. So for a change I decided to meet up with a friend in a restaurant before hand and after scanning through a couple of places on this very site I decided on Dada, the pictures on the web make it very inviting and it was although a little more cramped than I expected and very dimly lit. I really like lamb when it cooked properly and tagines are one way to make sure it's cooked properly and we were not disappointed, I went for the Lamb Tagine With Apricots, Walnuts, Almonds And Cinnamon which was beautiful, the meat just fell apart and the combination of nuts and fruit added a really nice flavor, although it was hard to tell what was what on the plate due to the lighting but my taste buds were telling me it was all good. My friend went with the Roasted Lamb Shoulder With Ras El Hanout And Saffron And Rosemary Potatoes which must of been really good as he kept thanking the staff anytime they came near. Staff were nice without been intrusive.

Lovely and Intimate. This restaurant's decor takes you away to another place where you do feel safe and secluded. A group of girls went for late desert, which was delicious. The staff were always very friendly, courteous and efficient. There were nice private booths that looked like fun if you were on a date. There were organza curtains for the added effect of privacy. Lovely lanterns. I cannot wait to go back and have dinner. Decently priced as well. Definitely would recommend it for a different ambiance alone.

Arrived here at 9:45 on a Tuesday night after other plans had gone astray, luckily as it turned out. There were quite a few other diners about, not bad for a Tuesday night in the middle of a recession ! I had the sweet potato and lentil tagine which was gorgeous, with beautiful subtle seasoning. My fellow diners had the chicken and sultana couscous and the lamb. All were professed delicious. We drank a Morrocan beer which was very tasty. Service was efficient and friendly. Dada offers delicious food at very reasonable price: we will be back !

Myself and hubby went here for our wedding anniversary recently and we were both bowled over. From the minute we went in, we felt like we could have been in Morocco. The tiles, fretwork candles, moroccan style plates and the rich velvets etc all gave the impression of being somewhere far away. We had not had Moroccan in a restaurant before so went for the dips and the aubergine pate. Both came with plenty of bread and were a fabulous introduction. I then had the Hake tagine and my husband the seven vegetable couscous with lamb. He raved about the tenderness of the lamb and my fish was lovely. Despite being quite full we could not resist the desserts and the Moroccan tea and coffee. It was all very atmospheric and only added to the evening. We had a bottle of pinot grigio and all came in under E100. Will definitely be back and have recommended it to many already.

A quiet Tues night in town and at 2 minutes after the early bird close, this establishment was reluctant to provide us with early bird menus. We suggested there were plenty of other early birds in town and thus were promptly accomodated. The food was scrumptious and the service very good (despite the shaky start). The early bird advertised here on this site is until 7pm but there's a sign outside the restaurant door advising of a 6.30pm finish. It's located in a competitive area of town thus we were surprised at the earlier e.b. finish time. We will most likely return for a second helping. The candle lit alcoves & delicious food lent to a particularly atmorspheric room in which to enjoy the foreign spiced cuisine.

We visited the Dada restaurant last Thursday for our team night out (10 of us). Upon entering the restaurant, you are immediately transported away from the grey and rainy days. The decor is oriental, rich, calm and relaxing. We had the 4 course set meal for 30 euros and with the wine the overall bill for each of us came to 45 euros/pers. We had various starters and mains all of which we ate with delight. Personally, for starters, I had the filo with manchego cheese and spinach (delish) and for main course, the lamb tagine with apricot, walnut and almond... (fabulous... the lamb was melting in my mouth). My only little hic-up for the night was the choice of desserts.. I would have like some Moroccan dessert (corne de gazelle, makrout etc etc) although nice the desserts were not on par with the rest of the dinner theme. In saying this, i'll be back for more tagine mmm :)

This is a fantastic restaurant... I ate here for the first time on Sat night with a friend... We were there for almost 3 hours without even noticing the time pass and it wasn't because they were slow serving - it is just such a nice, relaxing atmosphere... I had the soup and my friend had the chicken kebab to start - the chicken was melt in the mouth... The organic chicken couscous was amazing... With a bottle of wine, a nice pinot grigio, the bill came to €72... Our waiter was lovely, food was great, atmosphere was perfect.... Will definitely be back....

went there wednesday night after college i made a mistake of ordering the fish it was absolutely terrible i could not stand it.. My friends had the lamb and the chicken and they found it absolutely amazing. Just one thing it takes forever to get your food you have to wait at least 30mins and they do not give you bread whilst you wait

Went here last week with a couple of girlfriends. It is very dark in the restaurant (especially when it is light outside) but the décor and ambience is lovely. To start we ordered the bread and dips to share, the dips were tasty. We all had tagines for main and they were full of flavour, the chicken was very tender and went well with the pear and nuts. For dessert we ordered profiteroles and chocolate cake, they were disappointing. Service was good, would definitely go back but would avoid the desserts!

We really enjoyed our dinner in dada restaurant. The food was very tasty & the waiters were friendly & attentive without being on our backs. We share the dips & bread, then my boyfriend had the couscous & I had a lamb tagine. All very nice & the marocan wine went down very well with the gorgeous food! Shared the desert: marocan pastries. not too impressed with those though. The only down sides were the music being a little too loud & no hot water in the toilets. But overall a very nice restaurant, we will be back!

Ate here last night with 2 friends. I've been dying to go for ages so was really looking forward to it. The restaurant itself looks fantastic, very moroccan, even down to the music. It's beautiful inside and I'd say it's buzzing with atmosphere when it's full. The service was very good too. We went for the early bird (2 courses for €20). It has about 4 options each so is a bit limited but it was fine for us. 2 of us had the stuffed squid to start and the other girl had the spinach on pitta. Our squid was good. It wasn't really hot, but it was well made. A little bit hotter would be good. The spinach dish was nice. For mains, 2 of them had the chicken tagine with potatoes and I had the spicy lamb with french beans tagine. They were gorgeous, really flavoursome and piping hot. We all ate every last bit of our meals. Then we shared some cheese with more pitta. 2 bottles of delicious moroccan wine meant the bill came to €120, a lot more than we planned! I will definitely go back with a big group.

best moroccan food i've ever had! a friend and i ate here this evening, from the early bird menu. my chicken skewers with harrissa to start were really good, but the main courses blew us away.i devoured my sweet potato tagine which was full of flavour. my friend loved her lamb tagine which tasted very subtly flavoured. the mint tea was as good as in morrocco. i can't wait to return!

We went there for lunch. Dada has a set lunch menu for 14.95 Euro. You can choose from a starter and a main course. I had the couscous salad which was good but there was too much garlic in it. And chorizo which is not Moroccon at all! My main course was the chicken breast tagine, it was pleasant enough. I would like to try it for dinner. The place itself is beatifully decorated and the service was excellent.

This is a beautifully designed restaurant .Walking into it is like walking into a different world. First time I went here I brought my wife for our wedding anniversary and was delighted that I did. The second time I brought some business contacts from the States and was just as impressed. The food is exquisite. The service friendly . The music a little loud for my taste but overall I was well impressed, a good place to go on a date a very romantic feel to the place. The food is very reasonably priced. The food is cooked in clay dishes . I had lamb with with almonds and apricots. I love the way these guys flavour the food. My wife had chicken with carmelised pears . For starters we had a selection of Morroccon dips again delicious. We chose to go for desserts I didn't expect to eat them as I usually order for my wife...I actually ate more than she did. Lots of oats and nuts in them very different to usual desserts. The Morroccon tea was also excellent . My wife had the mint tea. All in all delicious and different! I will be back.

Wonderfully atmospheric addition to the selection of restaurants in the south of the city. The decor is absolutely fantastic and the service is both courteous and efficient. The food was excellent; I thoroughly recommend the chicken tagine. Pretty good value for money too. I will definitely be back for more!

I visited Dada on Friday and was wondering what it would be like as I'd often passed by and thought that it looked interesting and I was happily very pleased with our visit. The atmosphere was lovely, very typically morrocan and the food was beautifully cooked, with a nice variety on the menu and the wine was also very pleasing, happy to see a nice light spanish at a reasonable price. Staff were very attentative and the only weee issue was when we were paying our bill, as there was a mistake made. We would definitely go back there. Lovely night with lovely food and wine at a reasonable price.

second time to go to Dada and even better than before. The menu has changed and from a vegetarian perspective is even better. There were 3 of us and we were shown to a booth nicely set off with a muslin curtain. The buzz on a Saturday night was good, but place wasn't jammed. Starters were dips, which included a fantastic tomato/cumin one, as well as fig paste, hummus and black olive tapenade. Spinach triangles and a salad with roasted peppers as well. All went well together, though a little more bread (as is always the case) would have been nice. For mains we shared the 2 available vegateble tagines between 3 - one was of green beans and tomatoes with lemon, the other of sweet potato and pumpkin. They were served with airy dry couscous and a side of fried potatoes. Delicious. The only weak point came at the end: the Moroccan coffee was, as last time, lukewarm but tea with thyme and honey was great. An ordered dessert never came, but probably a good thing as we were full anyway. The Moroccan Medallion wine was top of the wine list at just 28 euro and was a terrific drop. Apart from the glitch with the coffee everything was great, the bill about 90 euro and service friendly and efficient. No doubt we'll be back again. In terms of taste and value, there is currently no better place in Dublin for a vegetarian meal out.

Dada truly lived up to the expectations I had after a recent 3-week visit to Morocco. Decor is very beautiful, service friendly and food and the lamb tagine with walnuts, apricots & cinammon tasted just like the one I had in Erfoud this year: delicious! I found the food quality high in general. The only thing I would surely changed is the bread: pita should not be served at a Moroccan table but a flatter, more typical bread; a small detail that the Moroccan owner should not overlook in order to add to an overall great experience. Well done!

Dada's decor blew me away as soon as I stepped in. The lanterns, stonewashed walls and cushions makes this place a haven in the middle of Dublin. We went there for the early bird menu and were not disappointed. I had the Harissa soup and the chicken tagine, both very tasty and served with warm pitta bread. The wine is very good too, and the mint tea is a whole experience in itself! I will definately go back, the atmosphere is so good we stayed there for 3 hours and the service is excellent.

We came here for a birthday party, the staff had let some of us in early to put some balloons up which was nice. There was about 20 of us and they allocated us in a nice enough area although we weren't altogether. They really let us take our time waiting for people to arrive, which was nice. As we were in a party mood, we were just ordering mains from the regular menu before moving on. I ordered the Cigar De Mere, filo pastry wrapped spicy fish - delicious. Perfect size for a main course so that I didn't feel too full afterwards, and I got to try some of the others food, the spicy lamb tagine in particular was lovely, I would recommend both of these dishes. The staff were excellent, our wine glasses did not empty out once! The bill wasn't as bad as it could have been considering how many of us there were and how much wine was consumed! Will definitely be going here again.

Dada is a very welcome addition to the ethnic food restaurants in Dublin and i hope that it keeps up it's perfect blend of professional and friendly staff along with it's excellent food, atmosphere and great prices. The Moroccan coffee just blew me away - one of the most delicious things i've ever tasted and a very nice French Red Wine by the glass too (can't remember the name). I went here with about 15 ladies but everyone said they'd return without hesitation. It was like stepping off the streets of Dublin and arriving in Morocco to a whole new experience! Credit where credit is due.

Had a great meal here last weekend. The atmosphere feels nice, plenty of candles and eastern-style lamps throwing shadows everywhere. We had a kind of mince meat/squid wraps and a selection of dips with bread for starters. We were both surprised by how tasty the dips were, especially the hummus and the crushed olives, and it feels good mopping up the sauces with the bread. For mains we both had tagine lamb dishes, cooked to perfection and very succulent. Wine is available by the glass which is a bonus, so we'll probably go back there some time again.

Fab, fab, fab. You could imagine you're in Morocco. Staff so friendly and nice. Food prices excellent. Food taste suberb. Best olives (they make them on the premises) in Dublin - one marinated with spinach and lemon, the other with garlic, chilli etc. Amazing veggie options (really nice for a change!) although the mains could do with veggie-ing up a little bit (if you don't happen to like cous-cous, you're banjaxed :-)) The chicken breast with lemon was amazing. Can't rate it highly enough.

We just love everything Moroccan so were very interested in sampling the cusine at this restaurant, which has replaced the Indian that was the previous tenant. The interior is lovely and the food (chicken couscous for mains) was very tasty, and luckily we both love couscous as there was enough of it. The lentil soup as a starter was a tasty way to begin and overall we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Will go again.

Went for the early bird here. Fabulous value, we had the stuffed squid, beautiful lentil soup, lemon chicken and the lamb tagine. The squid and the lamb in particular were stars of the show. I'm a huge fan of lamb and this just melted in my mouth, there wasn't much conversation during our meal!!! The room is lovely and the staff were so accommodating and professional. It's a terrible time to open a new restaurant, so I wish them the best of luck, it's a great little place, much better than many more established restaurants in town. I will definitely be back.

I've eaten here twice now. The first time I went there, I waited 45min for my food. Apart from the long wait, this is also the first time I've dined in a restaurant that is oblivious to your inconvenience for having to wait. IN other restaurants, the service would acknowledge the situation and a starter would be on the house. The food however is worth the wait. In general, if you are a meat eater, I'd recommend this place. Esp if you like lamb, DADA does superb lamb dishes. I'd recommend the spicy tagine of lamb. The meat melts like butter. I enjoyed my 1st visit bringing abt a 2nd visit. On the second visit, when it was not as busy, food and service was prompt. Everythg was exceptional except for the roast lamb shank as 1 of the orders. Sadly, it was dry and failed to melt like butter. Thankfully the spicy tangine of lamb was ordered. That was a delight. Something I'd recommend!

We were looking for somewhere to eat late on a Saturday night and were very glad we found dada. Efficient, friendly, welcoming service and decor, food and music that had us fondly reminiscing about happy holidays in Morocco. Particularly liked the sardine spring rolls and the stuffed squid starters. The wine list was reasonably priced and carafes of water came to the table as standard. Will go back..

I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. I loved the look of the restaurant and the staff were really great but I'm still unsure about the food. I went with 2 others on Friday night. To start I had the lentil soup, which was possibly the nicest soup I've ever had. One friend had the spinach marinated with pickled lemon, which was also really good. The other friend had the prawns and she liked them. The main courses were the let down of the evening. I had the vegetable mezze - this had hummus, spinach (same as the above starter), roasted peppers and cous cous. The cous cous was a little too sweet for my liking and the mezze was just crying out for bread. The vegetable cous cous main course was only ok and like the chicken cous cous dish it was served with way too much cous cous (probably 90% of the dish!!). The desserts were average but quite expensive at €7.50 so I wouldn't order them again.

Beautiful interior unfortunately empty when we arrived for an early bird so lacked atmosphere but had become busy by the time we left. I chose the early bird menu; hot spinach starter was good and hake tagine for mains which was fresh and delicious. Accompanying bread and dips were very tasty. I skipped dessert but opted for Moroccan peppermint tea which was far too sweet for my taste buds but presented beautifully in individual tea pots and Moroccan style tea glasses. Staff were helpful and pleasant, service was prompt and overall good value for money 19.90 for 2 course early bird, overall a nice experience but not out of this world.

Had been wanting to go to this restaurant since it had first opened. By chance ended up there last night with a friend. It was not busy, being a Monday night, but the atmosphere was very warm and the service attentive and excellent. There were lots of things on the menu that we wanted to try but had to settle for as much as two people can eat only! Unfortunately that stuffed squid was off; we'll have to go back for that. We had the mixed dips to start. Then we had the zaaluk, prawn starter and the spicy lamb tagine for our main course between us. Utterly delicious. The mixed dips arrived in 4 ramekins with fresh bread. It seemed a bit small but we were completely taken aback by the flavours : spicy tomato, fig paste, black olive paste and green olives (pitted - they gave us better in the complementary dish). Afterwards the mains were seamlessly introduced - delicately spiced aubergine, meaty and flavoursome prawns and some of the best lamb we had eaten in a very long time. It melted off the bone. The preserved lemons made the dish sublime. Wow. When the very reasonably priced wine list is added to this, a really top notch dinner is on the cards. My caveat would be that the starters are a tad expensive at €7.50 average. My only caveat. Great dinner.

I visited this restaurant on Friday for the first time with my partner and 2 friends. Top-marks for atmosphere. Lighting and decor were excellent. Service was very friendly and effective. We ordered bread and dips, and squid stuffed with mince meat for starters. my friend enjoyed te squid wih mince but I tried it and it just not to my taste. The dips were a little unual with is a good thing. From and very good olive paste to an unusual sweet date paste. For main courses we had 2 lamb tagines, the shoulder of lamb and organic chicken. The presereved lemons in two of the food descriptions were nowhere to be seen, The shoulder of lamb was delicious but the lamb tagine was a little on the fruity side. Price wise we paid €140 for 4 starters and mains and 4 beers. A little pricey I think given todays economy.

I loved Dada when we visited the other evening. This place deserves to be packed every night. The food is really authentically Moroccan; my lamb tagine was one of the best I've had anywhere. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the bill was not at all painful - very good value in fact. Loos could have been a bit tidier, but that is a very small point - we'll definitely be back.

Fantastic place! ,very friendly staff in a beautiful cosy restaurant. Most importantly the food was really fantastic.I was really impressed, I went for a tasty chicken dish with pears and sweet onions served with a great wine recommended by our waiter..No faults whatsoever.I really cannot wait for my next chance to visit this place again with a few friends so I can taste more of the wonderful dishes this restaurant has to offer.

Visited Dada yesterday with 4 friends. The decor of the restaurant is fantastic. On arriving in we were seated at a big table. The service was very good. We were all very disappointed with the food. 3 friends had the couscous with roasted vegatables and humus which cost €16.90. There were very few vegatables or humus and it was effectively a large bowl of humus. One of the girls requested a side of humus to try and make it more flavoursome. The dish was bland and tasteless. As was the humus when it arrived. On getting the bill she had been charged €7.00 for the side of humus. We complained and our complaint was dealt with well and the side dish was taken off the bill. I had the hake fish with ginger and tomatoes and pepper. It was very flavourless and tasted only of fish. All in all I would not recommend for the food. Service was excellent, lovely setting but maybe just as a wine bar...

Excellent service. Lovely décor with wild aromas and great quality food. An excellent intro to Moroccan cuisine. Its a very large restaurant and a separate wine bar overlooks the street. We had our starters in the wine bar and moved to the main floor for dinner. Great ambience and after dinner we moved back the bar for another few bottles of wine. Several platters were presented to keep us nibbling and a tray of pastries finished the evening. I will definitely be returning soon.

I had a wonderful meal here. It was a total surprise, as I hadn't heard anything about the place, just spotted it and decided to go in as I love Moroccan food. It was quite empty, but it is new so I'd imagine it'll get busy very quickly, once word gets out. I had the aubergine starter and the chicken tagine main course. Absolutely delicious. I'll definitely be going back - so that I can have the 'pastela' that my other half ordered - he loved it. I hope they arrange an early bird menu - I will have a path worn to the door.

I really like the interior of this place, pity we were only people eating there. It looks like you could miss the place when walking by. The menu is Morrocan, no influence of andalusian at all, unless they mean the moorish influences is a better way to describe it.We had mussels for starter which were really tasty but would have helped with some bread of sorts.Mains was a veg couscous and the duck and chicken filo pastry main. Both were gorgeous I would return just for the duck and chicken beautiful flavours, had a great half bottle of rioja as well. Coffee could have been warmer went cold too quick but loved the spices and all

Dada describes itself as a Tapas, Wine Bar & Moorish (Moroccan & Andalusian) Cuisine restaurant. The space has been transformed into a Moorish/Moroccan palace, being careful not to step over the line into a tacky themed restaurant! There's a comfortable Tapas & Wine bar at the front of the room, to the back a large dining area, with lots of levels and intimate dining spaces. The walls are finished with traditional polished plasters in reds & browns which reflect the incredible light fittings dotted throughout the room. The seating mixes formal dining seating with relaxed couches covered in silk cushions. The food was fantastic. We had never eaten Moroccan food before, so we weren't sure what to expect. The tastes were subtle, incredibly tasty & the ingredients were extremely fresh & top quality. We had a filo pastry stuffed with spinach, served with incredible capers & sultanas & squid stuffed with mince meat. Both were tasty & beautifully presented in traditional hand painted plates. However, I have to say the stuffed squid was the best. For mains we had Turbot & a spicy lamb tagine. The fish was perfectly cooked & subtly presented. The tagine was great, served with green beans & bread, it could have fed 2 people. The wine list is impressive, lots of great old and new world wines. In keeping with the experience we tried two Moroccan wines a Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot & a Savignon Blanc. The Red was a little dry for my liking, however, the white was amazing & comparable to any good New Zealand Savignon Blanc. Service was relaxed, but efficient. No over selling, which seems to be a too common these days. The Pièce de résistance was the selection of Moroccan pastries we shared for desert! Coupled with a Moroccan Mint Tea & Coffee with a blend of Moroccan spices they were the perfect finish to one of the most interesting culinary experiences we've had in the city in years. The bill came within budget, so we'll be back soon.
