I had lunch here with some friends on the go during lunchtime. We were attracted by the great value on the signage outside and it looked very clean and also quite busy which is a good combination. We were seated immediately and we ordered as we took our seats at our request. The other guys got the bruschetta to start which was quite small but at the prices was more than sufficient and very tasty. I ordered the minestrone which was really good, light and fresh. Our mains came promptly after and the guys were delighted with their pizzas. Very thin and authentic to look at and even better to taste. I got a chicken dish which I couldn't pronounce with a tomato sauce... yum! We were in and out in 40 mins and were all very pleased with the food, service and price. The atmosphere was good too and I would have loved to have had more time to relax and enjoy a real Italian experience!

I had dinner here with my husband and daughter last night. Our food was excellent, couldn't fault any of it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing was the wine prices were a little on the expensive side, so we didn't order wine with our dinner which was a pity as it would have finished off the meal beautifully but i couldn't justify paying the prices for the wine. Overall,I would definately come to back to this restaurant and hightly recommend it.

I have eaten here three times. Each time the service was prompt with polite staff. The food arrived quickly, was fresh and was both nice and good value. I'd recommend this restaurant for people looking for lunch or perhaps a meal int he middle of the day. I probably wouldn't go for dinner as I'd prefer somewhere a little less congenial, though I would definitely return to Botticelli again. Excellent value, quality and service.

Visited recently for lunch. They offer a good deal of two courses for, I think, around 10/11 euro. All of us opted for the bruschetta to start. This was lovely, really tasty with the tapenade. We then had a mixture of pizzas and pastas, all of which were tasty enough but nothing outstanding. There were only a couple of table occupied which was a little disappointing as this place is right in the middle of templebar and they offer good prices. Would return again for lunch, not sure about dinner though as the lack of atmosphere was a bit of a turn off.

Food was dull and we really could have made better at home (we are not particularly great cooks.) Decor nothing special. Very poor value only saving grace was the wine which was not cheap but nice. Very poor value given quality. Same dull salad with all dishes and pizza was no better than a good frozen one from tesco.

Popped in here while passing with the girlfriend, the early bird was on so we sampled it. They've 2 different early bird menus, 1 for €15 - starter/main with the mains being different pastas/pizzas, and a second for €19, the mains being more meaty standard dishes. It's a big restaurant, 1 side faces the quays, the other into Temple Bar, the latter having more tourists and a bit more noise from the passing crowd. The courses came out quickly which is fine if you want to be in and out quickly but if you're on a date, you might want the meal to last longer than 20 mins. I had the suppli, 2 deep fried croquettes of mozzarella cheese, tasty but 3/4 of them would have been better. My partner had crostini with proscutti ham and cheese - it wasn't great, reminded us of a basic ham and cheese toasty from a bar. For the mains we had the pasta with chicken pieces, garlic and olive oil for me, creamy white wine sauce for her. We were wary eating it as we had to send back our plates the first time as the chicken wasn't cooked as required. The waiter/cook didn't make a fuss, he could see it was wrong, changed it quickly and apologised profusely. Both dishes were tasty, mine had a bit too much olive oil as it splashed all over the plate. Overall, not too impressed with the place, food was ok but I was still hungry an hour later.

Visited Botticelli's last week for their Early Bird menu. Had the 'suppli' to start - croquettes with risotto rice and mozzerella inside and the carbonara for the main. I'm a huge carbonara fan and this was by far the most authentic Italian carbonara I've ever gotten outside Italy! It was perfect, not too heavy or creamy. Our waiter was also extremely friendly and helpful. Such a bargain for only €15 per person. Will definitely be going back!

I've often walked passed this restaurant, and hoped I was on time for the Early Bird special... Recently, I was. What a find! The waiter was an excellent host - making us feel very welcome. Starters were DELICIOUS. Possibly the most delicious Bruschetta I've ever had! very fresh ingredients, with a very authentic taste. Pizza, dessert and coffee all tasted really good too. Will definitely go here again, and recommend you do too!

Three of us came in early evening and got a table at the back near the windows. I chose from the Early Bird menu, which has two different options; I found this good. I chose the Suppli as my starter followed by the Pizza Romana as my main. The starters came within ten minutes of ordering which was good, and my Suppli was very tasty and wholesome but a bit too large a portion for a starter for one person. The accompanying salad looked rather dry and there was no vinaigrette. The Pizza Romana came at least fifteen minutes after starters were cleared, a bit longer than usual. The pizza itself was large with a good salami taste, but the base was very thin. I didn’t enjoy this overly thin pizza as I would a thicker base. For dessert I ordered a 3-Coup Gelato, with Pistacchio, Stracciatella and Limone. Their gelato is by far one of the best in town, really great flavours! As a whole I was only satisfied by the food, though the atmosphere was good and busy, attentive and friendly staff and a clean restaurant. The Early Bird menus are good value for what you do get. Not my first time, but not my last time dining.

Lovely restaurant. The staff were all very friendly. There were 4 of us and they recommended starter palters to get a selection for us to try which everybody consumed with great gusto. The portions were good sizes and we got an selection of main courses and a new experience in sharing rather than the mundane “ that’s your main course”. Wish more restaurants in Ireland did the same....

Having heard good reports I was looking forward to the visit - However I was left very disappointed indeed! The service was very slow both for ourselves and the tables around us. We ordered two pasta dishes. The quality of the food was at best average and the portions were very small. A fact that we pointed out to our server but got no response. In fact after we made the complaint we were then ignored by the staff for the next 15 minutes. In the end we had to go to the desk and pay for our meal before leaving. Overall we will not be returning any time soon to a venue we had hoped would be a very good experience.

Had dinner here last night with some friends. One of the girls I was with had been before and recommended us trying it. None of us got starters (we weren't that hungry), but I got the 4 season pizza for my main. It was tasty with fresh ingredients, but had too much sauce and not enough cheese in my opinion. We all had some gelatto for dessert which was SO yummy! The service staff were friendly, but not very attentive. There were times that they walked by our table even when we tried getting their attention. The value is quite good, especially compared to other places in Temple Bar.

It's a long time since I went to est out in town so when friends said let's meet up in Botticelli's I said yes. Lovely authentic Italian restaurant with friendly staff and tasty dishes. The place was packed which is probably usual for a Friday night. Lovely Pasta dishes had by all and some delicious Italian wine.We even got a complimentary Sambuca which went down very well. Great night.

We had been in the habit of going to Botecelli's with children and friends in past years to celebrate birthdays etc., However I hadn't been for some time until we (three adults) popped in last Friday for a meal when we wanted somewhere to eat after early evening drinks in the Palace Bar. It was still consistently good, tasty mixed antipasta, squid with flavour, not rubbery - pizzas with good thin crusts (Pizza Botticelli is my favourite) and never soggy. We had two desserts between the three of us - great italian ice cream and good, if rich, tiramisu. The serivice was friendly, they remembered us. Just a really good meal in the middle of Temple Bar for very fair price, we'll be back again - sooner this time.

We got the early bird option here for a very affordable 13euro for 2 courses. Although the food is authentically italian, including a lovely minestrone soup and a good fettucine bolognese we tried, the service was disjointed, with our starters appearing instantly and then a very long wait for our main of pizza and pasta. It could be that everything was being made fresh from scratch for us but often people availing of an early bird are looking for a quick meal and a few impatient tables of people in a large half empty restaurant did not make for a good atmosphere, especially when people who had arrived after you got their food before you got yours. We were pleased however with the very good choice of affordable italian wines and the authenticity and flavour of the food we ate, apart for a very uninspiring salad for a starter but we also had an authentically unfriendly/super-efficient italian waiter which didn't make us feel particularly welcome. All in all there are other restaurants nearby with better choice on their early bird menu and better atmosphere where you feel more appreciated as customers and we probably won't return.

Myself and a friend eat here quite often as we find the food delicious, we always get a pasta dish each. The sauces are rich and filling but very wholesome. The early bird is great value with a starter and main course for €13.95 with the option for a cake and coffee for an additional €5. However, the atmosphere is very quite and not much going on. This suits diners who may be looking to catch up with friends. The location is great in the heart of temple bar. On the whole, a lovely cheap reastaurant.

Got the early bird 2 courses for 13.95. I got mixed salad for starters, which was really nice and so tasty I didn't even need a dressing! He got the crostini which he also enjoyed. The pizza I got for mains was delicious, as was his fettucine bolognaise. Service was fine, not that friendly though. Atmosphere was rubbish - there were about 4 other diners there.

My friends and I had dinner in Botticelli to celebrate a twenty-first birthday. We took our time to order as we were still waiting for a few diners to join us, including the birthday boy. The restaurant was starting to fill up with people which seemed to promise a delightful evening. The service unfortunately was not as expected. It was seen that many tables that had arrived after us had gotten their main course before we even got our starters. Having ordered a little late, it took almost forty-five minutes for us to get about two starters on the table. Antipaso All’Italiana which was a selection of meats such as salami with some salad and Gamberi Con Rucola which were tiger prawns on a bed of rockets. I had the tiger prawns which went very well with the rocket but were very bland to eat alone. For my main course I had a Pizza Funghi. This really did change my opinion of the food at Botticelli. The freshness of the sauce on the pizza was evident from the beautiful fragrant taste of the tomatoes! However again it took a very long time to get a small amount of food to the table. Overall the atmosphere was quite loud which of course is not the restaurants fault. The slow service I thought was as a result of being understaffed on a busy Friday evening. This unfortunately brought down the standard of the restaurant. From having to wait for your food longer than it took you to finish it to not having water replaced at the table, the service was missing key elements. Some of the staff were very friendly but it could be seen that they were under a lot of pressure. We still got a cake out for our friend none the less with a dramatic dimming of the lights from the staff which was received quite well. I would recommend this as a casual place to eat and if you go in on a busy night prepare to wait for your food.

Had a quick lunch here on my tod last Monday. I was a bit late (1.50) so there weren't many still eating. The lunch menu is €9.80 for which I had an tasty minestrone, an excellent spagetti carbonara and washed it down with a jug of water with a cappuchino to finish. Helpings were very generous. As expected, the choice is limited but adequate. Service was fast and friendly and definitely to be recommended at lunch time. I'll have to go back in the evening to see what it's like for dinner.

Two of us dropped in here last Sunday evening & had the set menu.My boyfriend was only ordering a main course when the waiter pointed out that he could have the set menu for €1 more! Bruschetta for himself & crostini with mozzarella & prosciutto for me to start with.. Mains were fettucine bolognese & rigatoni al'arrabiata. A glass of really nice white for me. a shared icecream, a double espresso & a cappuccino brought the bill to a reasonable €45. Not bad at all. Would definitely return

I've been to Botticellis numerous times over the years and always love the place, it does good wholesome food and great prices. Its definitely no fine dining type of place, but its great craic with a group here in the evening. If you can get in early for lunch, the windo seat on the temple bar side is great for people watching on a nice day!

This was an average experience. There was basically no atmosphere (although you can't fault a place on that as it was off-peak hours). Waiter wasn't the friendliest, considering we were one of onky 2 tables he had to serve. Food was fairly average. Great price but not the best food. While I would go back here again for the lunch deal cost, the food would and has turned me off returning unless I'm broke! The Service and Value buttons wouldn't let me move them, but I would give service a 2.5 and value a 4.5

First experience at this restaurant, as part of a large table for a work leaving do. Very disappointed overall. Service was very poor with a rude and brusque waiter. Very unapproachable and I felt I was a hinderance when I asked for some condiments and drinks. As this restaurant served Italian cuisine, I felt I could not go too far wrong with bruschetta for starter and margarita pizza for dessert. Unfortunately I was very wrong. Bruschetta was tasteless and served on stale bread. Pizza sauce had no flavour whatsoever and base was very doughy and chewy. I finished off with some homemade icecream which was the only good part of the meal. I will not be returning or recommending to friends.

Not too much of an atmosphere in here when my friend and I had a late lunch. Didn't like the chairs or tables, it was very like a cheap cafe. Had the 9 euro something lunch menu that gives 2 courses and tea/coffee. We boths started with the minestrone soup which was ok, but quite oily, and I had the salmon pasta which was rather... awful. The whole thing was SO salty and I really had to dig for the hugely sparse flakes of salmon. My friend, on the other hand enjoyed her arribiata. Service was adequate as well. I do however think there are a million nicer places for lunch.

I visited this restaurant with a group from work and found that the food was really nice - only problem was that we had to wait far too long to get it. From the time we ordered our starters they took 35 minutes to arrive. Some bread, breadsticks or something on the tables would have made this wait seem a little shorter. The wait between starter and main course left us all mildly irritated as well. We had a mixture of dishes between us and everything from steak to cannelloni was really tasty and well received (when we finally did receive it). The really redeeming feature is the wonderful ice-cream for dessert. I may be making a trip to their ice-cream parlour in future but to be honest I'm not likely to try the restaurant again - the food can be equalled in other places and in all likelihood you'll get it more promptly as well. The general atmosphere was okay but the restaurant wasn't all that busy - probably more atmospheric on the weekend when there are more people around.

A group of us came here one Friday evening and we were very happy with the food and service we received. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was lovely, so no complaints.

I went to Botticelli on a busy Friday night. We were sat near the front of the restaurant and the door was open. Tourists get their photos taken with men dressed up as Leprechauns just outside the front door of this place so the drunken antics at the window was a bit distracting. The back of the restaurant looked like it would be a much better place to sit, it is not as bright, and I think there are windows out onto the Liffey. Anyway, aside from that, the pizza was really delicious. Fresh garlic and lots of really nice cheese, and the sauce was excellent. Obviously an authentic Italian, and it was nice getting left with the bottle of Chilli oil and the black pepper. It was a really good and inexpensive pizza, I would recommend it, followed by some chocolate gelato from their ice cream shop next door.

Botticelli is fantastic for students. Although the decor leaves a bit to be desired, the food delivers, the location is fantastic and the staff are nice. I had the pasta with garlic oil and chili, which was great, and my friend had the lasange which was not earth-shattering but was satisfying. The wine was drinkable and it was a pleasant evening that didn't break the bank!

Food was very nice. Went for the Early Bird menu and had a pizza. Very good value for money with that menu. Went for ice cream next door in their ice cream parlor. Lovely Italian ice cream.Yum!

This is the place I come for my birthday and all my special ocassions. It is the best Itallian food in Dublin. My daughter gave me a gift voucher for fathers day , the old reliable safe bet. I had suppli to start, with penne alla arribatte for my main. My partner had a pizza for her main course.desserts, coffee and a bottle of 2004 Cianti Classico brought the bill to €88 . Lovely food, great service and a place you can have a conversation in without shouting.

I ventured into this restaurant on Friday afternoon by myself while I was in town. I ordered the bruchetta and the rigatoni puttenesca and had a cappuchino after. I also ordered mineral water with my lunch. The food was LOVELY and it was great value for €12.80 including both drinks, main and starter. Would definitely eat here again for lunch. The portion sizes are just right for a lunchtime visit and I didn't come out of the restaurant stuffed to the gills nor was I hungry. Great value for money!!! My only complaint was the female waitress that I had first was not very friendly, but the male waiter that brought my food was much more pleasant.

I went here for my sister birthday. We got the early bird menu before we hit the town and we all really enjoyed the meal. It is a small, but long restaurant. We set up the back, with a view of the liffey which was lovely. It was busy, but not packed and the staff were very friendly. We also mentioned menupages and got a free glass of wine each. Can't go wrong! Would recommend a visit to anyone. The one thing I would say, is a lot of people tried to get in the door that faces the liffey, but this is not an entrance. Perhaps a sign indicating where the entrance is would be helpful as it was very distracting|!!

The one thing i really could not fault is the service. The waiter who looked after us was very cheerful and recommended dishes to us when we asked. He also came over to us twice during the meal to make sure everything was ok. The food, although lovely, was very minimal so was a bit overpriced for how much you got. I had the swordfish - which was cooked beautifully - but the side order of baby potatoes had only 3! We then decided to get a salad to share and the tomato salad turned out to be a tomato cut into slices with salt on it! Overall, it has a nice atmosphere but i wouldn't come here if you were really hungry!

First time here on a half full Friday night and I can say with some certainty that I won't be going back any time soon. The food is delicious and quite reasonable with a decent amount of choice for vegetarians. Although our Italian friend wasn't very impressed with the pizza- she is used to higher standards than us. The icecream is fantastic. 3 scoops of your choice and the best I have ever tasted. But the service cancels all this good out. We waited nearly an hour for our food. We were charged twice for a bottle of wine and when we brought this to our waiter's attention the manager came over and proceeded to question us to see if we were lying about having only had one bottle. The worst part is that a service charge is automatically added on- presumably the only way they make any tips at all.

I ate here with 3 friends mid-week, it was great service and the food was average but i wasnt expecting it to be any better considering the prices. I had the brushetta and a pizza isabella and both were lovely. Only slight down-side was 2 of my friends were drinking coke and as it was not chilled it almost tasted flat. Great place to go for a cheap meal with friends!

Have only eaten here during the day with our chidren but have yet to be disappointed. Pizza's and pastas are lovely and the Ice cream is amazing. Service is always good with staff quick to help, and you never feel like its a problem for the kids to be there. Reasonable prices too.

went there on sunday night the one reason i love this place it is the only resturaunt that closes at 12 midnight we had been walking all night at 11.30pm and no where open except fast food and we found this resturaunt great prices good old fashion itallian food the service was nothing special but considering the atomosphere you do not exepect anything special. Ordered pasta carbonara and it was ok, not bad but it was not amazing either but nothing i would complain about. The wine selection is good and the price is very lavish i will definately go back there.

I went here for Valentines Day with my boyfriend. It seemed as though extra tables were crammed in for the night so there was very little room for the waiters to even get by the tables. Had there been any effort made to make the place seem a little more romantic it would have made up for it but there was no decorations or anything which was disappointing considering the increased prices. I had the bruschetta which was nice but too small a portion and the chicken with mushrooms and tomato which was ok, felt like a batch production though. Overall a below average Italian, definitely won’t be going back.

I went to Botticelli a few months ago. The place was a bit packed and the waiters very pushy but the food was excellent, it well made up for the service. Had the Ravioli stuffed with meat and it was delicious! My friend had the pasta arrabiata and she said it was very good. The wine was also quite nice. We didnt try the desserts but next time!

I went last night with my boyfriend after reading their ad in one hotel's magazine. The first thing which greatly impressed me is the fact that they take orders until 11.30, brilliant! overall for a Wed night so we did not feel in a rush at all to reach the place, we arrived before 10.30 anyway. The food was lovely and the best thing is the ice cream! We asked for one to share, as my bf did not feel hungry after all we ate and at the end, he ended up eating more ice cream than myself! We ordered some cappuccinos which were excellent! The only disappointing point was the service, it looked like our waitress did not have a good day so she was a cold and a bit rude in few occasions. We will come back defo and we hope we will get a better service next time to complete the nice meal experience!

Came for the lunch special which is exceptional value - starter, main and coffee for under 10 euros. The brushcetta wasn't bad, but could have been a little better. The pizza was very good, and the coffee was perfect. Service was quick and efficient, although delivering a can of coke to the table probably indicates this is far from a posh restaurant. Perfect for lunch though.

We were not given any menu besides Set Lunch menu 3 course for 9.98. That was a pity!!! So called Bruschetta appeared to be a slice of white bread with cold tomatoes on it... Why should one call this chef's creation a Bruschetta??? :-((( We waited for our pizza for 25 minutes. I could see other people, who had arrived to the restaurant later than us, eating their main courses while we were still waiting for ours. That upset us very much although our pizza was tasty. And coffee was good. Real espresso!:-)

decent enough, but the food could be better prepared. staff are not attentive in any way and the way it is laid out is not good. ice cream is great out of it, but the hot food not so great! i've had better pizzas for cheaper in places that aren't Italian restaurants!

Popped in here last night mainly to get out of the rain and looking for a pizza. The first thing i noticed was the strong smell of cheese, it was nearly enough to put you off eating, horrible. I also found the room to be quite cold and more cafe style. We both had pizzas which were quite good and filled a gap! On the pizza quality i probably would return, but the smell was enough to persuade me not to go back.

I went for the special on the night which was cannelloni while my friend went with the pizza, both were nothing to write home about. But the ice cream makes up for everything!! I'd recommend skipping the restaurant part and opting for the ice cream in the ice cream parlour, delicious!

I come here all the time for the gelato (Italian ice cream). It's wonderful, I've only been in the main restaurant once, it's open late which is great. I had a pizza there with a friend at 10:30pm, and we didn't leave till almost midnight, which seemed to be fine. The pizza we had was great. It was a four cheese and it had a lot of flavor, which is not always true of four cheese pizzas, some times they use four mild cheeses. Good place for a late night meal when you're not looking for it to be too fancy, and a great place to get a cone before you take a walk down the Liffey in the summer.

I ate here last night with a friend. It stays open late which is good to know! We arrived at 10pm and there was no problem. The food was nice, the service was very good and prompt - for mains we shared the mushroom & potato dumplings which was nice although it's listed in the menu under pasta dishes so we were confused when the dish arrived pasta-less.

I have eaten here a few times and being honest I was disappointed the last time I visited. The pizzas are extremely good, the wine is nice and very reasonable. However it was the dessert that let us down it was awful. We ordered chocolate fudge cake what we recieved was stale, cardboard like cake. Service ok but you always feel slightly rushed out even when it's quiet..

This place has gone downhill over the last couple of years. They really need to do something about their menu which has become very boring and limited. The last time I was there I ended up ordering spaghetti bolognaise and a salad which, lets face it, is the kind of thing you have at home when you don't feel like cooking. There was just nothing very interesting on the menu.

I ate here last nite with a group of 4. To begin with the service was fine but as soon as it got busy the service became very very slow. We had to ask for the bill twice!! Food was just ok-nothing special. I didn't think it was great value for money. It's not expensive but the food wasn't fantastic. As it was valentines day they squashed as many 2 people tables as possible into the small space and it was quite cramped. There were 2 tables very close together near the window and one poor guy at one table had to get up and move everytime someone wanted to join or leave the table beside him! I wouldn't say he was too impressed!

Went here for a Christmas work lunch and it was one of the worst I've ever had. There were 10 of us and no one was happy with their dishes. The appearance, taste and quality of the food is not good. I believe this restaurant is only in business to catch the tourist trade because I can't imagine anyone returning for that kind of food.

Ate here for my birthday with my family. Food was over priced and quite limited. None of the starters were too tasty but I did get a nice steak for my main. I was very annoyed when my mother asked for a side of veg instead of chips with her main course, and she was told that the only side they did was chips, not even mash. Eventually they agreed to bring her a salad, but all that came out was a few iceberg leaves. It just strengthens my belief that nearly all Temple Bar restaurants are over priced and over rated.

Botticelli's is a lovely restaurant. The food is always perfect and the waiters that I have encountered so far have been very friendly, and polite, even when the restaurant is packed. Great value for money as well, a 3 course meal for two and a bottle of house wine is about €80. This restaurant has become one of my regulars.

I would recomment this for casual dining, nice atmosphere and nice easy menu to choose from. The pizzas in here are great, can be a bit packed at times and you can't book ahead so best to go midweek. Great value for what you're actually paying at the end of a meal. Have been here several times and would still go back again!

I eat here quite frequently, the food is reasonably priced and always hits the spot. On a midweek evening expect a vibrant atmosphere, however on a weekend the restaurant is often full and can become noisy. Some of the waitresses can be rude and snappy as has been pointed out but that seems to be par for the course in most reasonably priced eateries in Temple Bar.

Cheap 'n' cheerful, nice food. Quite genuine-seeming Italian, with a lively atmosphere, friendly staff and reasonably priced food. Great for casual dining. The adjacent ice-cream bar serves outstanding gelatos too.

Relatively cheap and cheerful, ok for a crowd. Nice pizzas though not as good other places, in my opinion. Veal main course was only so-so. Bresaloa & Carrappcio starters were very good, Suppli was a bit heavy and dry. Staff were friendly and helpful.

For a very special occasion myself and some friends visited Botticelli, we were looking forward to a great meal, wine and atmosphere. We were all greatly disappointed. The service was the worst I have ever seen. The waitress was rude, shouted at us, made many many mistakes with our order and also passed all the plates to me to pass down the table (I think I should have received the 10% service charge we were made to pay). This was very unfortunate as the food was quite good but I would never return as I do not expect to be treated with no respect whilst out for a meal. When we spoken to the manager and told him how we were treated he said 'Shall I put a candle in your ice-cream as compensation?' hardly a decent answer. He disagreed that being shouted at was a problem and a reason not to leave a tip. Disgusting service and very rude people.

I have been here quite a few times. I find the food is great! The service is o.k. Some of the waitresses are very snappy & rude while the waiters are very friendly. The value is great. The only thing about the place is it can be extremely noisy! Especially at the weekends. It's fine when you’re with a group but if it’s just two people then its impossible to speak and hear each other.

Cheap and cheerful. I hadn't booked a table so we were seated near the front temple bar entrance. Food fine but the desserts had to come from next door through the rain to get to get to us. A bit off putting.

Myself and my partner went here last Sunday night. The waitress we had was rude and snappy, I ordered the minestrone soup and he had the special. When the food came out we were shocked by his small portion and the layer of oil on the soup. When he didn’t finish his the waitress asked, "what was wrong with it" again being very short with us. I would not go back here again and would advise anyone going to this area to stay away.

Based over 2 visits. The first visit was fine, tasty garlic bread well worth the price, main chicken dish was tasty. Dessert of a fruit pie was a perfect finish. Second time around, service was extremely slow and a wrong desert was delivered despite assurances to the contrary. Prices are reasonable, but don’t go if it looks too busy.

I have been to Botticelli’s a few times and every time it seems to be more and more excellent each time. The staff are friendly, quick and polite food is excellent it has had a beautiful new paintjob and I like the idea of the kitchen open full marks.

Was here yesterday evening with my girlfriend. The place was really busy and had a good buzz about it. We were disappointed with the quality of food and service however. When the waiter was taking our order he warned us that the main course would be ready in 2-3 minutes so we decided to have some garlic bread for starters as we weren't in a rush. The garlic bread was really tough and chewy, not great. As the waiter said our main course arrived on our table a couple minutes after finishing our starters and it looked/tasted like it was sitting under a heat lamp since we ordered! I don't know about you but I like my food piping hot! The espresso I had afterwards was the best part of the meal!

I was taken to Boticelli's recently by a friend who eats here frequently at lunchtime. I wasn't at all disappointed... the pizzas were delicious and HUUUUUUGE! Great value for money, and I'm told their ice cream is second to none, so leave some room!

I went to this restaurant recently with my boyfriend and we weren't disappointed. I had the pasta and salmon dish and he had the calzone pizza. Both were delicious, the staff were efficient, the prices were reasonable and the place was buzzing, with a lot of Italians I might add. He returned there with a friend this week, and both had the calzone pizza again. No complaints to make here and I will def return again soon.

The three times I have been to this restaurant it has been a disaster. On the last occasion they gave my companion her mains as I was eating my starter. Therefore by the time she had to sit and look at me while I ate my mains afterwards. This makes no sense! I have no idea how any waitress could think this makes sense. Clearly people dining together should be given their mains at the same time. Also the seating was somewhat bizarre, it was only the 2 of us and 3 other blokes in the restaurant and they put us right next to them. Literally. We may as well have been sitting at the same table. We couldn't have any kind of conversation and they seemed reluctant to move us despite the fact that the entire (huge) restaurant was empty. Average food, bizarre service!

Great value and excellent food. The staff were friendly but run off their feet and we often had to wait to ask for something. Food was great value and very tasty. Could do with a revamp or maybe a new seating plan. We were seated beside what I think was a storeroom!!

This has to be a very qualified five star review. Botticelli does the best pizza and ice cream in Dublin! The staff are very friendly and the lunch menu is excellent value. The ice cream bar, next to the restaurant is also lovely for a snack. I've never actually tried anything else there but friends have always been disappointed when they've strayed from the pizza list. Apart from the ice-cream, the desserts aren't great either. EXCELLENT pizza though!

DUBLINS WORST... I eat in a lot of places but to say this ranks among the worst is an understatement food is so poorly presented and thrown at you its a disgrace, room has dirty orange walls with bits of white paint splashed around seat are uncomfortable all in all a disaster... and I believe from close friend the new one in Malahide is every bit as bad

SOLID FARE: Botticelli is a no-frills but authentic Italian where you'd least expect it. You'll get 3 courses for under €40 and that’s including beer or wine (1/2 bottle each!). The suppli (deep-fried rice and mozzarella balls) are crisp on the outside, cheesy and soft on the inside. The bruschetta (often underestimated but fab when done right!) is a perfect balance of tomato, olive oil, garlic and basil and it’s served on toasted bread spread with black olive tapenade, a nice touch. The tomato, basil and mozzarella salad is simple and plain but good quality. The pizza is light with only a few toppings i.e. Italian not American style. The tomato based pasta sauces are so fresh that although I rarely order pasta when dining out, I've done it twice here and devoured it both times. The wine list has a couple of nice wines but avoid the house white, it’s not good. The waiters are Italian, tanned, attractive and flirty. The place gets a bustling cafe vibe at the weekends as it feeds the tourists. Its noisy but unpretentious and good fun, even the staff seem to be having a good time. They're proud of their simple, good quality food and it shows! Best of all is the gelati (Italian ice cream). Its gooey, homemade and divine - my favourite is the champagne & strawberry flavour, oh and the chocolate and the pistachio and the strawberry...just don't skip dessert!

Proof that experiences can be deceptive, while the decor could do with a revamp, the food was tasty and the service was fast and friendly. A good spot for a quick bite.

My husband and I have been frequenting Botticelli's for the past 7 years or more. The food is cooked to order and is the best Italian food in Temple bar. They have a wide and wonderful selection of starters, main courses and sinfully tasty deserts. To top it all off, they have their own Ice Cream Parlour next door. They have a lovely wine selection and also serve spirits and minerals. They have one Italian beer at the moment and it would be nice if they had a choice of bottled beers. The service is second to none and you certainly get good value for your money. You are always greeted with a smile and are made to feel most welcome. They cater for everybody. I hope that all who eat there enjoy it as much as my husband and I.

Boticelli is a great little restaurant in the middle of Temple Bar. The food is average but the atmosphere is great. Can get kinda busy from Thursday to Saturday but if you can get a free table it is definitely worth the visit. The menu is extensive and will not break the bank.
