A colleague had told me about the 'specials' on offer and so I went early on Sunday evening to see if Bentley's was as good as it had been in February. The home made bread was delicious and we both had the goats cheese rosti to start. I had the gammon for main course followed by Eaton Mess. Both meals were very rich and filling. The service was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere pleasant (not too noisy but not quiet). The only downside is that I'll have to go to the gym every day this week! The set meal at €25 per head was very good value indeed.

I ate here recently as a group of 4, with the Irish Times Reader Offer. The menu was very limited, but great value. We had 3 courses each, tea/coffee, petit fours and a glass of wine for €35 each. I had a goats cheese tart to start, hake for mains and the chocolate pot for desert. The mains and starters were delicious, while the desert was ok. The only downfall was the gruff, rude waiter who served us all night. He was attentive, but very rude. Overall a nice evening was had by all. I wouldn't return in a hurry though, as there are plenty of places in the city which serves just as good food, in a friendlier warmer atmosphere.

Very nicely decorated dining room which makes you feel at home. Had the fish pie which was excellent with a mustard sauce and huge chunks of fish in it. Service was good with chatty waiters. Would come back here.
