Yamamori Sushi, City Centre North

Yamamori Sushi is located in the heart of Dublin, overlooking the Ha'penny bridge. The restaurant is just 5 minutes walking distance form all major transport links in the city center including Tara st dart station and Jervis st luas stop. The restaurant was opened in April 2007 in what are two stunning Georgian style houses boasting original features which fit well into our modern Japanese theme. The restaurant has four different dining areas, one of which is the newly decorated Bamboo Garden which is fully covered and heated and is a perfect place to wind down after your meal or if the weather is warm enough even to dine outdoors. In this stunning restaurant we display some beautiful 19th century Japanese artwork and also have original Samurai artifacts. Yamamori Sushi has a large open plan kitchen which can have up to ten chefs preparing food at the same time. We believe that it's our responsibility to feed Dubliners and let them taste the beauty of Japanese food and culture. So your experience in Yamamori Sushi should be very entertaining for you. We have a very wide range of oriental flavours and tastes which you should try!

I have been to Yamamori sushi several times and always enjoyed the food. I am a seafood lover so have mostly ordered seafood dishes which I have been very happy with. Highly recommend any of the seafood tempura dishes and also the seafood in wasabi sauce and the monkfish dishes are amazing. Yesterday I took my niece and my mother for an evening meal. I made some recommendations but they chose what they fancied. My niece had Teppan Duck Teriyaki, rare. The meat was pretty tough and the sauce had little flavour. Quite a boring dish. My mother ordered stir fried noodles with beef. It was tasty but again the beef was tough. I did comment on this when we were asked if everything was ok. So my conclusion is stick to the seafood! I will go back for more seafood but will not recommend meat dishes to anyone. Service is excellent, very friendly.

I went with 2 friends to Yamamori on a Friday night (at peak time...7.30pm). We were put onto a table which felt a bit squashed within the restaurant, with my chair backing straight into somebodys elses. However, the service we got was excellent, and personal. I had the seafood in mild wasabi sauce with rice and salad. Which was nice although some of the scallops were slightly overdone and a little chewy. We also got vegetable tempura which is served with a gingery dip and is amazing! I am off alcohol for Jan, so tried some aloe vera juice... i really enjoyed this (its a lot nicer than it sounds). I would recommend this restaurant.

Went in here tonight for a quick bite. It was quite busy but not overun with a good atmosphere. Shown a table straight away and was given adequate time to look at the menu before being asked what I wanted. Wasn't feeling too adventurous so just went for the Yamamori yakisoba and an Asahi beer. Didn't have to wait too long. Fresh meat and noodles cooked nicely. Tasty and a big portion so was stuffed afterwards. Next time will have some sushi. Recommended
