We visited Louie's for lunch with the kids on the 12th Nov because my wife came across it while doing a course in DIT on Mountjoy Sq. Let me say this place is a hidden gem in North Dublin, there wasn't many in but the staff were great with the kids and the food was stick to the ribs goodness, The bill was €76 for 2 adults and 2 kids with a bottle of wine. Cant wait to go back for the baked goats cheese and figs "beautiful" Well worth a visit!!

Went there one Saturday nearly one week ago, just managed to get a table, Staff were very pleasant and we had a nice welcome glass of Prosecco, Our starters were excellent specially the mushroom and goats cheese, If have been here a few time before so on this occasion was a little disappointed with the main course’s but I feel that we may have made the wrong choice, on the night They seem to making a great effort to get things right, will come again to try different mains. Small wine list priced reasonably

Found this via City Deals, which they had extended through the end of July. I had the Duck, my partner had the steak for the 4 euro suppliment. Because service was brilliant and the food was so tasty, We went so far as to splurge on dessert, coffee, and an aperatif - something that rarely happens. I am certainly going back and would recommend this small restaurant nugget for a classy romantic dinner, a upscale business meeting, or just someplace to show off as a shining example of local cuisine away from Temple Bar.
