I went here on a Saturday night with 4 friends. 3 of the group opted for the Korean barbecue with beef. Myself and another friend went for the Chef Special Spicy Beef with vegetables, on the recommendation of the waitress. I asked for a medium spiced dish, while my friend went for the spicy version. We all enjoyed our food. I got an enormous portion of beef - I couldn't finish the dish. The food isn't too heavily spiced - I tried my friend's "spicy" version and was able to eat it. I would definitely come back here again to try other stuff on the menu and the staff are very friendly.

Went for hotpot at €45 for 3 people. We got plates of thin slices of lamb, beef, squid, clams, rice noodles, prawns, mushrooms, tofu and lettuce. Service was good and quick. A little pricey but was stuffed afterwards.
Only thing that bugged me was that like in most places, the English menu is not exactly the same as the Chinese menu (I am of Irish-Chinese descent) but whatever food was available on both menus, the food on the English menu was more expensive!
Still though, recommended.

Totally enjoyed the food! Authentic, tasty, and good value! We had several dishes for four of us: soup, fried pancake, seabass, fired nice, and toufu shrimp, yummy! Recommended restaurant. One thing really skeptical is the location, but turned out nothing to do with the food provided by this restaurant. Will go back for sure.

Went back there again recently. I have been there many times, never been disappointed. The food was lovely, I love BBQ and really like the spicy Korean style barbeque. I called my friends to come with me every time, and they all said it was fantastic. And the service was also very good. They always change the BBQ iron pan when it needs to be changed. So I would like to fully recommended. Will be back soon!

Hilan is great for a quick bite to eat or for a meal with a big group. I went here for something quick to eat after work with my friends. We hadn't booked a table but that was not a problem. We were told that we could have the table for an hour, which suited us but which might not suit everybody. The food was fine. It's simple food, nothing special. Despite only having the table for an hour we did not feel rushed by the staff.

Found this restaurant after doing some late night Xmas shopping and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered some dumplings to share which were tasty. Hubby ordered the spicy fish korean dish which was cod and was delicious and definitely had a kick. It was served with a very generous portion of rice. I ordered the Spicy Chicken and Potato Korean soup dish but was told by the waitress about 10 mins later that it wasn't available. Ordered the beef and vegetable in spicy sauce from the korean list again and it wasn't spicy, just a little tangy. Restaurant was very busy for a Monday night but not surprising given their reasonable prices. 1 starter, 2 mains for 28...that's recession proof! Would like to go back to sample their BBQ. Not too much in terms of atmosphere, just a television in the background showing a football match, but wouldn't let that put me off going again!

I've eaten here several times and never been disappointed. Their Spicy Korean Pork and Vegetables is simply delicious. The barbeques are good fun. Service is always friendly and every time we get the bill we wonder if they've left something off as it's such good value by Dublin standards. Just don't come here wearing your best clothes as they will smell of barbequeing for days after!
