Fillet steak on a hot stone was delicious! Really recommend that. Also had goats cheese salad and that was really nice. Well worth a visit!

I have been to cafe carlo a few times with friends and family for steak on a stone, each time I have been there I have had a voucher, so the value was great. The restaurant was quiet each time but the service was fast and friendly, there was only one guy working so I don't know what it would be like if the restaurant was busier. The steak itself was amazing; very tender and they were generous portion sizes. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant for their steak on a stone!

Myself and my husband used a Groupon voucher here last Friday which only cost us €29.00. This included 2 Steak on the stone meals AND a bottle of house wine. Great value. This was not our first time to dine at Cafe Carlo and it wont be our last. The service, food, atmosphere and location are excellent. Their brunch / 2 course lunch deal is also worth a try. I would highly recommend the soup with brown bread starter and the cod and chips main course which is delicious.

My girlfriend and I ate on a voucher here last Friday and it was an excellent experience. €35 for two three course meals and I had a beer and she had a white wine. She had the fish cake starters and I had the soup, both were excellent and the brown bread with the soup was lovely. The steaks were delicious but with only chips as a side it's a bit limited. We got onion rings also and they were very greasy. Dessert's were apple pie and she had the tiramasu. They were both covered in thick chocolate sause. The chef must have a fondness for it. :) Overall great value on a voucher. Not sure if it would be great value at full prices to get a steak and some chips but you are paying for the gimmick factor. The manager must be complimented on his service. He was outstanding.

We had our voucher to use here which was amazing value. Service is always spot on...even though there is usually only 1 staff member on when we go, usually the quiet times...but they are always brilliant! Steak on the food is highly recommended!

Very poor service. Restaurant was absolutely packed for a monday night. No space - very cramped. Waiter staff were overloaded & overworked. Orders were mixed up - i definitely recommend that orders are written down onto a notebook to avoid mix ups like this. Took ages to get orders eventually sorted. Food was just ok - nothing exceptional. Be careful going down to the toilet - steps are a serious challenge to put it mildly. Gents toilet floor was soaking wet & the gents cubicle was out or order. Mentioned it to staff but they just were not interested. Had a much more pleasant experience in january 2012. Things have slipped so much since then.

This was my second visit to Cafe Carlo. Once again the food was delicious and the staff were lovely and very helpful. We both had the steak on the stone which is gorgeous and both had the seafood chowder to start which was lovely and had plenty of fish in it. No complaints here and I will be going back again. Only drawback is the decor of the cafe could use updating so the atmosphere isn't as nice as some other restaurants but overall I don't think it matters.

For a restaurant that prides itself on its steaks, it doesnt half mess it up sometimes. I ordered a fillet steak medium rare and when it took ages to come out of the kitchen, I double checked with the waiter to make sure it came out medium rare. It came out ten minutes later burnt to a cinder. I sent it back and the steak that came out was medium, not medium rare. Im glad I had a voucher because I really would hate to be paying €25 for that kind of dinner! Not recommended.

First off: I've tried hundreds of restaurants of all standards all over Europe. Only here around Dublin I've probably tried around 50 restaurants, several with a voucher from menupages, grabone, groupon, etc. and this visit was by far my worst experience ever. I went to Cafe Carlo yesterday with a voucher for two steaks on a stone and a drink each. First thing I heard when I got there was that unfortunately they were out of the fillet steaks they usually serve with this voucher but we could have a sirloin steak or something else of a lesser value of the menu instead. Sirloin isn't as nice as a fillet but we accepted as we were hungry. Then the restaurant manager comes back with our voucher and says it had already been used! I had never set foot in that restaurant before and the only copy of the voucher I ever printed accompanied me on this visit to the restaurant. Knowing people in the restaurant-business that have experience with these voucher-deals, I've heard that it happens that restaurant staff mark off the wrong voucher. The manager at the restaurant all but called me a liar and treated me like I was trying to scam him. He said that his staff could not possibly have done a mistake. Apparently it was all either my fault or menupages.ie's fault. I was too hungry to argue more so I went somewhere else and had a nice big meal. The food smelled and looked quite ok so I give the food 1/5, everything else obviously 0/5 and I'll be demanding a full refund for my unused voucher.

I actually went here with a Menu Pages voucher! It was for two fillet steaks on a stone and glass of wine each. The steak was amazing! I loved cooking it on the hot stone, it was a novelty and fun. It came with lovely chunky chips and pepper sauce, mushroom sauce and garlic butter. We also got starters of chicken wings and garlic mushrooms which were equally good. I have been here before and will go again for that steak! Service was good but the atmosphere never seems great - not sure why.

Used a GrabOne voucher for a brunch at this café. It seemed that many other people were using vouchers as well. Initially when we went in, the waiter didn’t seem to have a clue what we were talking about. Have to admit, my first impression of this place wasn’t a great one. It was noisy and untidy, and we had to go looking for a clean table to sit as. There was only one person at the counter doing everything apparently and I know he can’t be two places at one time, but tables should be cleaned down as quickly as possible when diners have finished their meal and departed. It really looked awful. The brunch was absolutely huge – two eggs, three sausages, two rashers, hash browns, mushrooms, beans, toast and a side bowl of chips. It was freshly cooked, but I just wasn’t impressed by the café.

This is a bit of a higgledy-piggeldy place – obviously serving breakfasts and meals to people who are staying in the hotel immediately above. It’s quite easy to walk past Café Carlo as it doesn’t have a very noticeable entrance. The waiter at the counter was going it alone by the looks of things and whilst our tea and coffee was brought to us almost as soon as we sat down, it was finished by the time our brunch arrived. We did notice that some other diners came in and sat down, but got up and left after a short time. Not sure if it was because of the delay due to only one staff member being on duty, but they didn’t hang around. Have to agree with another reviewer who commented on some of the chairs being torn. This should be an easy matter to remedy and it does not look good, regardless of where one is eating. Brunch was a bit heavy but considering it's a breakfast/lunch combination, that probably to be expected. Wouldn't be encouraged back for an evening meal I'm afraid.

I went to Cafe Carlo last Saturday. We had a table booked but there was no need. The place was half empty. The overall look of the place was not great. It did not seem like we were in a reastaurant. The tables were old and bare. Cheap paper napkins and old vine glasses lacked the restaurant look. Full lights and big yellow sign "wet floor" just at the entrance killed the mood. The menu was way too big. When you have main courses, pastas, pizzas, you have to expect that half busy restaurant can not have it all fresh. I ordered deep fried goats cheese salad for starter. It was meant to come with beetroot and beetroot dressing. 3 micre slices of beetroot and pesto left me feel sickly with the 4 pieces of cheese. Way too much cheese and not enough salad. Not to mention it was not what expected after reading the menu. My partner had chicken wings drinched in sauce. For main course I had grilled salmon. The salmon was not fresh at all!!! Most likely cooked from frozen and left under the light for too long before serving as the sauce became cold. The whole dish was only lukewarm, not fresh and very basic. Even mash looked like re-heated. When I mentioned it to a waitress at the end of the meal (there was noone there sooned to complain), she looked surprised but we were still charged full price for the dish. My partner had sirloin steak with pepper sauce. It came lukewarm as well. The hottest part of the meal were chips. We did not risk to order desert. Overall it was poor experience and we will not go back there.

For starter I had crispy squid which was ok but nothing great. For main course I had the steak on the stone which was really good and the chips were nice too. The sauces that accompany the steak were lovely too, especially the pepper sauce. The staff were very friendly, especially the manager who went around talking to every diner. The only slight problem was that we had vouchers which we assumed were for 2 people but apparently they were just for 1 person. I think it could have been advertised better on the voucher. Other than that it was a nice night, the wine is reasonably priced too.

Visited here twice as we had vouchers on a deal. Had soup which was lovely but it was served with sliced bread the first time and brown bread (like Mc Cambridges) the second time.I like Mc Cambridges but not very exciting when eating out. This made Carlos a cafe and not a restaurant. We had chicken with a nice mushroom sauce, served with a bowl of chips. Not a hint of a vegetable available as a side dish. Service was friendly without being intrusive. The location was convenient and the meal was good value on account of the deal.

We booked a table for two on a Friday night and we we're quickly seated by a very friendly, pleasant waiter who immediately told us what the soup of the day was an offered us a glass of wine/beer (it was part of the voucher deal). It looked like pretty much all the diners were there with vouchers also. The cafe's small, but well laid out. A few of the leather chairs were torn and the cutlery didnt match...but I'm just picking here! We were given the a la carte menu, and at first glance, it was a nice mixture of Italian and Irish. I ordered the calamari for starter and my parter had the duck spring rolls which were supposed to be accompanied with a ginger sauce. It was salty soy sauce. My calamari were pretty good, but were served without any lemon. For main, I ordered the frutti de mare spagetti and he had the steak. Main course was a huge let down. My spagetti turned out to be over cooked penne, the sauce was like a pot of cream and the fish......a few flakes of salmon, 3 baby prawns and 3 pieces of some unidentifiable white fish. Also....no lemon. My partner's steak looked like a cheap piece of meat beaten within an inch of it's life....but the chips looked gorgeous! I had a glass of the house white, and it was delicious. He had a pint of Heineken, but he didn't like it much, saying it was to "fizzy". Overall, the service was fantastic, but the food was a let down. I wouldnt go there again.

Booked a table for 1pm today, very quiet, definetly has that Italian feel, maybe even Venetian, had steak on a stone, it was very nice different to the everyday run of the mill stuff, staff very nice , easy place to find . It's not a 5 star restaurant but it's very enjoyable , I used vouchers from menu pages and it was really excellent value, I willl go back again.

Went today with our voucher for lunch. 13e for two of us, unbelievable value. I had garlic bread with tomatoes, my husband had plain garlic bread, both nicely presented and tasted fine. For mains, I had vegetarian stirfry with noodles and my husband had chicken in mushroom sauce with chunky chips. It didn't look great but he said it tasted lovely, chips underdone though. My noodle dish was excellent. Had coffee and a glass of wine, hubby had 2 pints of beer. Service was really friendly and prompt. Couldn't fault it at all. The bill was 15e on top of the voucher. Will be back for sure. One to look out for

Bought the menupages deal last week and used it on Friday. Went there for the first time with my partner and had the stake on stone. Absolutely beautiful!!! we were both pleased as it is served on a hot stone for you to cook as you like. It comes with extra chunky delicious chips and a glass of wine. Excellent meal and great value and very attentive staff. will go for it again

Went to the Capital of Cafés for Voucher Deals in Dublin. Mine was a Mega deal, not a Menu Pages Deal, €17 for €39 worth of food. Starter + Mains and glass of wine. Never came near €39. Would be very expensive without a deal.Everyone who walked in had a voucher. Various menus available depending on your deal. Atmosphere was non existant. Too many tables for such a small space. Had to contend withn small flies. I felt I was eating in the kitchen. I had concerns for the odour off my clothes after I left, as I was going to the theatre. The food was well cooked, plentyful and well presented. But I won't be going back.

We bought a voucher online for 2 main courses (steaks on hot stone) & 2 glasses of wine. Booked a table for last Sunday. When we arrived the waiter said that we could order any drink we wanted - not just wine - which was great as I don't drink wine. We ordered chicken wings for starters and these were good. The main course of steaks on the hot stone were great, the trio of sauces were lovely and I had a lovely brownie for dessert. All in all, we could not complain about any of the food. The service was good. The only comment I would make is that the decor / restaurant itself does not seem the most inviting - but I suppose it is a "cafe" and not a typical restaurant. Worth a try if you are looking for food in the area.

This is a great lunch spot where you can get a nice sandwich w/small salad and chips for a fiver. The steaks on stone are pretty good too. Other food is pretty average. However, if you can get a voucher, it's usually a good deal as you will be fed and fairly satisfied. Good service. Free wifi is also a nice touch.

Went here with my husband as we had a deal voucher. We won't be going back. The place is quite dingy, there was no atmosphere and the waiters weren't very attentive. We both got the steak on the stone which were cooked to our liking and quite nice but the overall experience wasn't very pleasant. I'm glad we weren't paying full price.

We went there with a voucher that 14euros to spend on one starter, one main and one drink for lunch. With the voucher it is very good value however I will not go back again with their normal price. The food was okay, and the service too. We were handed in special selected menu for te deal that i bought. Not bad, the salmon and chicken we ordered was fine. They were slow at service, it didn't bother us anyway.Well, if you see any deals offered, worth buying it, otherwise, I would not bother going there.

The only saving grace about our visit to this restaurant was that it was done on a City Deal. We would definitely not be going back again though, even with a voucher. The restaurant was grubby and I dislike having to swipe flies away while trying to eat. The service was atrocious, although there were 3 waiters and there were only 3 tables occupied. They managed to get our order totally wrong and made no apology for it. The steak was quite good and the baby potatoes ok, but the chips were frozen variety and definitely not nice at all. We were given a very small amount of wine taking up about one third of a glass. I would have been quite peeved if I had been paying full price for this. Toilets were a disgrace. Really bad. And that was at 7pm on a Friday evening. I can only begin to imagine what they would be like if the restaurant had been full. A place not to be returned to.

I went here with my boyfriend becuase we got vouchers for the steak on a stone meal. For starters I got the garlic prawns which was very dissapointing and slighty cold. The waiter forgot to give us any cutlery too and it was very rushed service. The main course was really tasty but they brought our food out so fast I think we were only in there for an hour for 3 courses! I would only go here again with a voucher and if I had paid full whack I would have been very annoyed.

Cafe Carlo was a huge disappointment. I booked dinner here because it was beside the theatre we were going to. It's nothing more than a cafe. The toilets were disgraceful and only half a roll of toilet tissue for two cubicles. In the restaurant, the fabric on most of the seats was torn. Food was ok but it was an hour before we were served our food. We asked for the front door to be shut because we were very cold from the draught. They reluctantly closed the door telling us it needed to be open so the smells from the kitchen could go out. Obviously there isn't a proper ventilation system in their kitchen. We certainly didn't leave a tip when paying.

We decided to go for a pre-theatre dinner as we thought it would be nice and handy before our show. Plus, they have an offer of 16.95 for 3 courses. However, the experience was not the most pleasant! When we came in, it took a certian time before we got acknowledged, the room was crammed with tables, and there was a lot of clatter going on! The food was nothing exceptional quite the contrary. We both had the soup of the day which was ok and then we had steak with new potatoes (with a mushroom sauce). The potatoes were luckewarm and did not taste nice at all. The steak wasn't cooked as asked either. Plus, the service was very slow and poor all round (we had 3 waiters for the evening, neither of them making an effort). The wine was not great either! All in all, I don't think I would be rushing back!

used a voucher for steak on the stone and chips here on Friday. steak was very juicy and lean - very tasty but waiting for it to cook on the stone was abit tedious. chunky chips were nice too. had chicken wings to start which were very bad - toilets were a disgrace too. luckily we had voucher as i don't think the steak and chips was worth the full price

Went here with a special offer. The idea of cooking your own blue steak on the stone was intriguing but I did walk into Cafe Carlo in the past a walked straight back out so I was apprehensive. The Décor is not great, atmosphere was dull and to be honest it really looks more coffee shop than cafe. Apart from that the service was slow, wine wasn't nice and whereas the offer was good value I would not pay the prices they charge regularly

I went there using deal €20 for chips and steak. The steak was very nice but my boyfriends was over cooked and the chips were cold, we put them on the hot stone to heat up, would not pay full price for the meal. Service was very slow, only 1 person on and in fairness there was only 3 tables being served. As started we shared the chicken wings, they were nice but not worth the price of them. Would go back if got another deal

Went here with 16 others on deal for €20 for two steaks on the stone, chunky chips and three sauces + glass of wine. Service was appalling with people having to ask over and over for their drinks. Our booking was for 7pm and we finally got our meal at 8:15pm. They seemed to be understaffed but in fairness they had several weeks notice of our group booking. The steak, when it finally arrived was delicious, but chips and sauces were lukewarm. Luckily was able to put chips on hot stone along with steak and heat them up. If service was improved, would recommend.

I had a City Deal for this restaurant which was for a glass of wine and a fillet steak on the stone, the wine was lovely and the food was really lovely couldnt fault it! the staff could not have been nicer so all in all a good experience. I dont know if I would go again and pay full prices and I dont particularly like O'Connell Street.

Ate here because we had the Steak on the Stone deal. The waiter who greeted us was very friendly and offered a choice of tables. The soup starter was delicous. The two steak mains were excellent, it came with three different sauces and chunky chips. Dessert was a bit disappointing but only because my first choice of Tiramsu was not available. Overall, great value, friendly staff, good atmosphere as the restaurant got quiet busy while we were there.

Myself and my girlfriend went for a meal last Saturday and could'nt wait to get out of the place. It was swarming with flies. The tables were filthy and wobbly. Bloody Britney Spears was billowing in one ear and some reality T.V. garbage was in the other. Terrible rushed service. Warm white wine. Manky menus. Rump-end bitty steak. No toilet roll in the loo. The list goes on. Only plus point was the novelty of the dish and the choice of sauces. Might be ok for a quick breakfast...maybe. Bad experience though. Never going back.

Myself and the other half went here after purchasing the Steak on a Stone deal. The place lacked any sense of atmosphere and the music that was being played loudly meant you didn’t feel like you were actually in a restaurant, which is a shame as the place has potential. Also there was no toilet paper in any of the ladies toilets; it’s little things like this that shape your opinion of the place. While the food was delicious and I have no complaints there, the loud music and services would definitely put me off ever going back there again.

I had a voucher like many other reviewers for steak on the stone and two glasses of wine. I found the chips lovely (not too much salt) but the steak was a little stringy but tasty. I had chicken wings for starters which were ok but not that hot & spicy and chocolate cake for dessert which was nice. I found the service ok until we finished dinner and then tried to get the waitresses attention to order dessert. Overall seems ok for bit to eat and a chat but wouldn't rush back.

I ordered the steak cooked on stone!! which is very interesting and NEW to me :-) however, i need to make sure the meat isn't cooked too long... or else it would not be medium-rare (the way that I prefer). Waiters are well-mannered. The location is strategic as it is along O Connell Street... opposite to Savoy Cinema... Perfect place for dinner after the movie. However, I was kept waiting too long as the waiter forgot my order. They apologize profusely after that, though.

Purchased a living social deal voucher for this restaurant for the steak on a stone and was a bit worried as I had not heard great things about the restaurant. That being said, once I found the place (it's fairly small and almost directly across from the spire) I was pleasantly surprised. The inside is small, but has nice decor and good warm atmosphere. They offered us a delicious white wine and we had very tasty bruschetta for starters. The 15 Euro steak on a stone was stunning - the quality of the meat was wonderful and it was cooked to perfection. The wedges that came with it were tasty as well. I'm going back for sure, and would reccomend this as a little romantic stop on the way to the theater.

The steak on a stone for 15 euro is absolutely amazing value. Yum Yum is all i can say. Had some starters which werent as good but when there is fillets steak of this quality available that you can cook to your own level using the stone you simply just cannot go wrong

Had the voucher for the 2 steaks on the stone & wine which I have to say was great value for money. The desserts were to die for. Service was excellent but seeing as there was only 2 other tables there the whole time we were I wouldn't have expected anything else. Only downside was it was lacking in atmosphere due to lack of cusotmers.

This was our first visit to this restaurant last night - came recommended by friends. We decided on the chicken wings and salmon from the early bird menu. We honestly couldn't fault it. Chicken wings came in lovely spicy sauce and were v tasty. Salmon came with a creamy white wine sauce and nicely dressed salad, at our request, and was delicious. Service was v stretched. Only one waiter and full restaurant which let place down although waiter did his best. Will def try again

Came here with a voucher from another site. Two steaks on a hot stone and two glasses of wine. This only cost 20 euro, plus the steaks came with chips and salad. They were served with three different sauces on the side. Excellent value! The service was really friendly and fast. The atmosphere was a typical touristy hotel type of restaurant, therefore I wouldn't rush back, but I thoroughly enjoyed this food deal.

Came here last night as I had a voucher from another site. For started we share a bruscetta and chicken wings both of which were very good. The voucher we had was for two steak dinners served on a hot stone, the steaks were very good quality and the novelty of the hot stone was very pleasing. Overall I would come back here again as the food and wine was good and our server friendly if not a little rushed off their feet :)

I came with 2 for 1 vouchers before going to the cinema. The restaurant is located in a hotel so patrons include loud tourists which takes away from the atmosphere. The waiter was friendly enough but did mess up the order slightly, quickly corrected it when he realised though. I am a vegetarian and didn't have many options. I went for the risotto which was tasty, but wasn't risotto. It was basically long grain rice in a creamy mushroom pasta sauce. Overall it was good value because of the vouchers, but wouldn't go there again.

The only reason I didn't leave this restaurant halfway during my meal was because I was deep in conversation with a friend and because the waiter, despite not being very attentive/organized, was very lovely and friendly. The food, I believe, was really terrible. I had the salmon; the fish was slightly overcooked, the potatoes much too over done and the vegetables undercooked. The tirimasu was more like a cheesecake but the chocolate cake wasn't too bad. I think the restaraunt seriously needs to improve on the quality of food it serves; I have had better quality food from a buffet. I would not eat here again, even if it was the week before pay day and the food was free.

Had quick lunch here today. About half full but service was quick and professional by the one person on duty. Lunch special of 8.95 for 1 course or 1euro extra for 2. Had toasted sandwich which was dry and looked like it was hastily put together. The side salad was a bit withered and again dry and the 6 or so chips included were passable. Free wifi and warm environment.

We came here on Saturday night but it was quiet. The foods that we ordered from the A la carte menu were just nothing special or even a bit of disappointing. There was only 1 waitress serving, so the service was limited. We doubt we would come back again as there are plenty of restaurants in city center with better value and quality.

Came with the Banker, hoping to grab a quick dinner. I had the steak, which was cooked to perfection, accompanied by one of the best roast baby potatoes I've tasted this side of Blighty. I was well chuffed with my food. The Banker had a margherita pizza, which he rates as mediocre. On first impression the dining room appears small, as there seems to be more tables and chairs than it needs - there are a few non-functioning chairs. We were a little puzzled why our wine was not poured at the table, but did not take it up with the management, as it turns out that the only waitress they have in the cafe is the receptionist of the hotel next door, who is on a work placement with the hotel. Charming.

Went for an early bird here after work. We had the two course early bird and had a menupages voucher for a free bottle of wine. Food was good, had chicken wings for starter which were really tasty and portions were very generous. For mains my boyfriend got the pizza which was average and I got a chicken dish which i thought was pretty bland. However, overall, it was a nice cheap and cheerful place for bite to eat and decent value for money.

dined here yesterday and took advantage of the menupages voucher for the free bottle of wine! We both had the early bird 3 course meal for 16.50 - excellent value. The food was lovely, had garlic mushrooms for starters, although only got 4, was expecting a few more than that :) The salad with them consisted of lettuce only, would have been nice to see a few tomatoes. We both had steak for mains, was delicious, as were the baby potatoes served with them! The chocolate cake truly deserves applause - absolutely heaven!!

Had the earlybird here which was 12.95 euro for two courses. I thought this was excellent value and the menu was quite varied with so many choices! I had the Bufallo Chicken Wings as starter and got the Penne Carne for main. All in all a great addition in city centre and somewhere to go if you want a nice meal for a reasonable price, will be back!

Dined at Café Carlo last night! The menu was good value for money! It is a hybrid Italian restaurant but the food is good. Wine is reasonably price @ 16.50 euro for the house wine, which is excellent. Had Garlic mushrooms to start, which were very good, the others had buffalo wings to start, which were also good. I had the Chicken as the main course which was very small the other two had steak which was a good size for 6oz. They were served with potatoes or fries. It was very tasty! The service was excellent. It is not a world class restaurant but it is simple food well prepared at a good price 12.95 euro for 2 course early bird. I will be back!

Headed to Cafe Carlo with husband and two kids(2 and 4) in tow for a family dinner, once inside its hard to believe that O'Connell Street is outside the door, it's small and cosy!! Service was fast and friendly, the food was tasty and good value, the children were happy enough with their pizza and garlic bread and watched the (silent) telly! Great for a casual meal but could get very cramped if it was full! Would head back in for little piece of peace and quiet in Dublin 1!!

There was very little atmosphere in this restaurant. The decor is very tired. The photos on the website look very good, but appearances are deceiving in this case. The food was overcooked - I had the chicked stuffed with cheese my companion had the salmon fillet. We were both disappointed, especially after we read some of the other reviews. It's cheap and not so cheerful in my opinion

This place is great if you're in town and starving! its reasonably priced and the food is lovely. I used to hit McDonald's, if I was busy shopping and felt peckish, but then I realized it was a waste to spend €10 or so in McDonald's and to come out hungry, whereas €10 would go way further 2 doors down in Café Carlo! The club sandwiches are gorgeous and the service is great. I am becoming a regular customer!

Good location if you're in town and fancy a quick and reasonably priced bite. There is a good selection on the early bird but maybe an extra option or two for the vegetarians would be a good idea.

Went for a Friday lunch. The lunch menu is great value and has a good variety of foods to choose from. The restaurant decor is very nice however it was quiet when we were there (about 4 tables occupied). The service was excellent and the food was quick to arrive. The quality of the food was ok, no complaints, but it is great value for money.

This restaurant was truely awful. From the moment I walked in, the unfriendly abrubt manner of the staff was apparent. I was told "only one wine available" and when served with a extremely rare steak when I had ordered a well done, it was responded to by a shrug of the shoulders and told that they would make another one if i wanted. Needless to say, through a combination of extreme staff apathy and poor food, I left. I wont be back !!

We arrived and told the waiting staff we had a reservation, the response was a grunt and a finger wag to the back of the restaurant. We went to the back of the restaurant to find there was only one free table and one of the chairs when sat in, was half way across the entrance. The menu looked small, the atmosphere was like a canteen and the room was like a meandering corridor (narrow and overcrowded) Nobody even approached our table for 10 minutes so we grabbed our coats and left. Will not be returning!!

I went with a group for an early bird dinner before we went to the Theatre. Waitress wasn't very friendly but service was fast. €14.50 for 2 courses was excellent value, especially as the food was very nice and the portions were large. Bruschetta starter was yum! I would definitely go back for the early bird.

Great menu inexpensive and very impressive. Only downfall was staff.
