Went here for new years eve. the place was about half full but as it is a small place the atmosphere was lovely and yes the tables are close together but it gives it a lovely cosy feeling. The food is fabulous all locally sourced and the service was wonderful. the menu is small but im guessing it changes seasonally as the food that we got was warming and wintery.

The restaurant was lovely and the food was very good. The only draw back was that the tables are very close to each other so you really have to be very quiet when dining for 2. I had the brie tartlet starter and the monkfish as for my partner. The portions were big, so I would suggest in just getting a main course.

Had a great meal here on Saturday, beautiful cosy restaurant. Glad the table was booked in advance as they turned quite a few people away. Great local food, wonderful steak. The service was excellent, wish I could have stayed longer and eaten more. Will definitely be back. Thanks!

Having eaten here on quite a few occasions, I would happily recommend this restaurant. To begin with, the service has always been very attentive with attention to detail in a cosy room with a welcoming ambience. The food cannot be criticised. Never have I had reason to be unhappy with the food served. The chef tends to prepare fish and meats beautifully with carefully chosen accompaniments. The wine list though not extensive contains a few gems. I Don't live in Skibbereen and only visit a few times a year, but a visit to over the moon will always be on my to do list.

I have eaten in this restaurant on approx 4 occasions and it has never fails to impress me. Service is exceptional and I love the fact that the owner is always present and circulates tables to ensure your satisfaction. If I had to find one fault it would be the fact that owing to its size it can be quite warm in there. That is a minor thing though when you are being served up some great food. I will be returning.
