Visited on a Saturday evening when we were staying nearby in Glandore for a week. It's quite a small bar with a mainly seafood menu. Had Monkfish and Scampi both of which tasted really fresh. Service was very friendly and efficient and as a bonus, the pints of Murphy's were majic

We ate twice within 3 days and would not have thought what was an amazing first visit could have been so totally disappointing on our return. The first night the restaurant was full and we had the baked hake which was delicious and a pizza Our return 2 days later to a relatively empty restaurant provided us with soggy batter on the guinness battered cod, burnt plaice ( though we did get 2 huge fillets) and a tagliatelle carbonara in place of a salmon and spinach tagliatelle. On the plus side, portions were huge and when we complained the manager responded quickly with a apology and a hefty discount. If they can keep the consistency in what is served this could well be a haven for those wanting good value

Just to advise people that ownership of Dintys has changed and so has the menu. There is a lot of "golden brown" ie deep fried food on the menu. Wouldn't be everyones cup of tea. The lasagne is still lovely though! Not sure the scampi is still fresh. It is good value for money though. Only problem is that you cannot book a table which can be a problem for big groups or people in a rush...

This is a little gem set in a picturesque West Cork fishing village. I have been visiting here with a number of years. No matter who is behind the bar, there is always a warm welcome. Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays are especially busy as well as during the summer months. This provides a great atmosphere. The menu caters for all tastes and for both young and old. I lie to order the deep-fried brie and then the prawns, ie. scampi. These are real prawns deep-fried, not the plastic-like ones you get in the supermarket or in a chipper! The seafood platter is to-die-for and I find it very hard to finish it when I order it and that's even the mini-platter. The fish pie is also delicious as are anything else I have tasted there over the years. It is a very child-friendly place to and the staff are all locals, making for a good rapport between staff and customers. I highly recommend Dintys for both lunch and dinner.

A group of 9 of us went to Dintys during a long weekend in West Cork, we were very impressed with the friendly atmosphere and good value for money wholesome food. I had the mini seafood platter which was to die for, the rest of r the group had steak, fish pie and goujons and were equally impressed, The staff were great and well informed of the local area. Will definitly be back on the next visit to West Cork

This is one of my favourite places in West Cork. We spend a lot of time in West Cork in the summer and we go here almost every weekend. Very friendly atmosphere , with a buzz, and always pretty full. Go early in the high season.

Went here cos had heard good things about it. Was actually there years ago when was poor but said Id give a second chance. Very very disappointing for a seafood restaurant in a fishing village. There is no, I repeat, no fresh fish option on the menu. There's plaice deep fried in breadcrumbs and a fish pie - both totally overpriced as well, something like 17 or 18 euros I think - and after that, nothing. Youd expect an awful lot more option for a place that is on the sea and has a fresh fish store just down the street. Had some chowder, which was not bad, and left.

The food is great here - seafood and steak with great gratin potatoes. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired - even from management!

I have eaten here on numerous occasions before now and every time has been excellent,no complaints. If anything the portions are too generous, great food, fairly priced, you get what you pay for. I would recommend the Fish Pie, yum yum. Keep up the good work

We went for the seafood upon a friend's recommendation, and we were not disappointed. Seafood were huge portion and fresh. Service was very good. Very relaxing atmosphere. It was a slightly pricey for us but money well spent.
