This is the worlds best chipper. Simple decor, and great fish with chips, and some pizzas, pastas and steaks. But, lobster and garlic butter with chips for E20! Or hake, or sole, or prawns, all fresh. Could you not love it? Have eaten here maybe 5 times, loved it. Very good wine list too, so after a day on the beach/boat whatever parents can splurge on decent food, kids can pig out on pizza, and everyone's a winner. Every coastal town should have a restaurant like this. Superb.

This is an interesting but somewhat confusing restaurant. Standing on the street reading the standard menu would not attract you in. But when you go inside and see the specials on the blackboard, it is a wow. Excellent seafood at a very reasonable price and cooked to perfection. Friendly and effecient service. The wine list is adequate and should be expanded to match the quality of the food. I would strongly recomment to the management to change the standard menu. This menu does not read as good as the local pubs, whereas the restaurant is one of the best in West Cork

I used to eat in la Coquille each time I visited Schull. As The Haven it is now catering for families with pasta and Pizza which are good - can still get fish but..... it is not the same. However it is reliable and meets the market and good value for money. great for kids
