Roast beef melted in my mouth, hubby had pork which was perfectly cooked. loads of deserts to choose from which we did and they were divine. loved the screen saver on their cash register " never say no to the customer" or something to that effect, this is sadly lacking in many places who got carried away with the celtic tiger, but here the staff were very nice and I felt they would have taken any request from me. Dont think it was expensive but it was worth every cent as it was very relaxing there.

I regularly meet a friend here as a halfway point. The staff are great. the pub grub style menu suits us just perfectly. once we even ordered the kiddies meal because it suited us! The pavlova and meringues are delicious.

B's Restaurant surprised us. We were staying in The Castle Hotel on a weekend package, and part of this package was a set menu dinner on the Saturday evening. What a surprise, the food was awesome and accompanied by a free bottle of wine. It surpassed our expectations on every aspect. The food was very high quality and delicious, the wine was more tha n adequate, and the service out of this world. Well done!

Used to eat here a lot as i used to stay in the hotel a lot with business. The staff make this place. They are so nice and friendly, and would do anything for you. The duck salad is gorgeous! and so are the breaded mushrooms. The steak is fantastic! and it resonably priced! The atmosphere is so warming and cosy! A great hotel to stay in, and eat in!

I've eaten here countless times over the years & have noticed a real decline in the quality of the food & the service over the past 2 years. I had a tartlet to start, which was doughy and inedible. My main course was ok, apart from the vegetables which were microwaved, soggy & also inedible. When I brought this to the attention of the waitress, she barely even answered me! When paying my bill, I made my feelings known & was not even offered a discount (though I would have preferred to pay the total bill & have an edible meal). I really will never eat here again.

Have stayed here for a number of nights this week and eaten in both the bar and restaurant. Overall, the food is good and the Carvery lunches are especially good with great variety and reasonable prices. The pepper sauce is one of the best I have had with an excellent spicy flavour. I tried fresh Cod, nice and delicate texture, the steak was good, although the Sirloin was smaller than 10oz as per the menu and I got medium instead of Rare which is what I asked for. The mas is an excellent consistency and the fish and chips is also good. Winelist is not great, El Coto rioja would be the best of a bad bunch
