I visited the restaurant as party of four. I,along with 1 friend had the beef curry, it was mediocre at best, my other friends had the salmon and another the chicken. The non curry eaters were very pleased with their choices. I thought the menu was expensive for the food we received. The service was alright, nothing spectacular, not a warm welcome, not rude. the location is one of the best in Kinsale, there are few places to eat in Kinsale on the water. On the plus side, the pizzas, which i have had as a takeaway are very nice. It would not be my first choice to eat in Kinsale.

We had the 3 course early bird and it was excellent. Good food, good value for money and excellent service in a great location. Would recommend this restaurant. Also my children reckon their pizzas (eat in or take away) are the best pizzas they have ever eaten!

Atmosphere was nice and relaxed but still very up market. I am a vegetarian so there was not a lot of options there for me but when i asked for alterations to the food, they obliged with no questions asked. The food was good. My fiance had the pizza which he said was perfect. I had the anti pasti with no meat which was perfect. The service was great! A lovely energetic gentleman served us with a smile on his face. Overall, it started us on a good night. We will be back!

In Kinsale at a weeding recently . went to Vista the evening before the wedding relaxing with a few glasses of wine overlooking the water. We all opted for Pizza which was very good Service was good and we were not waiting too long even though place was full. Also ordered one calamari tapas that I think was a bit expensive .other wise an enjoyable evening.

I went there for dinner and got the early bird at 19.50€ for 2 courses. The salmon dish was delicious. I didn't regret my choice even though I am not usually especially attracted by fish meal. It was served with mashed potatoes, fried vegetables and a tartare sauce. Really delicious. I then got the chocolate brownie. It was served tepid and was nice, but not the best I got. The decoration was nice and the waitress friendly. After a rainy day this was very nice to get a good meal in a nice environment with smiling people :)

I was in Kinsale on easter sunday and i was looking for a place for dinner. After searching I decided to try the Vista restaurant. The 3 of us got a table near the windows downstairs and we had a nice view. It was a cloudy day but we enjoyed looking at the boats. We all got the early bird value priced at 19,50 EUR for 2 courses. There was a choice of soup or homemade pate for starters but we all decided to go for the main course and dessert. 2 of us ordered the salmon which was served with smashed potatoes, grilled vegetables and a tartare sauce. The salmon was moist and was very good. One of us had the sirloin steak served with pepper sauce and it looked good too. For dessert 2 got the chocolate brownie served with rapsberry sauce and i picked the apple pie. All the desserts were served with cream but i would have liked some ice cream with my apple pie. The service was great and the waitress stopped by to ask us how everything was. After a cloudy and rainy day sightseeing, we were happy we chose this restaurant as we truly enjoyed the evening.

The view is great....Chairs are comfy....but the service is SHOCKING!! I went there recently and had to wait over 20mins before i was able to order. Even after ordering it took another 15 mins to make 2 cups of tea. There were all of four people in the cafe at the time and at least 3 people behind the counter. When we tried to order some food it was the same. Not sure if i would go back again. It cost me almost €4 for one brownie. Not great value altogether.

I regularly go to Vista for morning coffee. It is a very relaxing establishment with gorgeous views of the marina and a great place to sit outside and watch the world go by. Tea and coffee are reasonably priced and their scones and sweet treats are excellent. Lunch is also very enjoyable. The staff are attentive and it is simply a brilliant place to meet friends or chill by yourself reading the paper. With a selection of seating indoors downstairs and upstairs, outside on the ground floor and a balcony you'll be spoiled for choice!

Spent a lovely evening here recently, relaxing with a few glasses of wine overlooking the water. Shared a really tasty pizza. All ingredients were fresh. I think they make their own tomato puree. Service was good and we were not waiting to long even though place was full. Also ordered one calamari tapas that i think was abit expensive for the portion but definitely will be back.

Was visiting some friends over the Easter Holidays and we enjoyed some Tapas here in the evening sun. Great views out over the marina, if not for the accents (which i love) you could well be in Marbella....okay the wine helped too!! Overall an excellent location for lazy summer days.

Having been to Vista numerous times I am shocked at the other reviews. In fact I do wonder if they are commenting on the same restaurant, the food is fantastic and i find the waitresses to be very helpful and welcoming. I would reccomend the fish pie to all and the value for money that this location provides is fantastic.Top marks any time.

Over priced for very average food. Quality and taste of dishes are the sorts found in any second rate bistro. To ensure beyond any doubt that I would not ever return, the service my wife and I received was dreadful , a combination of rudeness (being totally ignored on arrival and during eating) and indifference.

Went for lunch here and was disappointed. The waitresses were unfriendly and the service was very slow. I got a chicken bap but there was only a small amount of processed chicken pieces. Then there was a very small portion of potatoes, one salad leaf covered in dressing and a small scoop of coleslaw. My boyfriend had a burger which came on its own, no cheese, and no chips or sauteed potatoes, he was still hungry. A bit expensive for what it was and the portions are too small.

I used to live next door to Vista so I was there on a number of occasions, and I have to admit each time I wondered why I went back. I found the waitresses to be quite haughty and unfriendly each time (I can only assume to give an air of exclusivity, but give me a smile any day!!), and to be honest, though the food is nice, it is too expensive for what you get. I was disappointed.
