Decidedly average lunch. Popped in on our drive through the lovely village and I was quite disappointed with our lunch here. There were some good offers for €10, one of which Boy got. His fish & chips were reasonably nice and good value. I opted for a toasted cheese, tomato & onion sandwich with a bowl of soup. Sandwich was dripping grease from the amount of cheese in it and soup was okay. We were seated at a terrible table by the kitchen door. The waiter did his job quietly while the lady of the house did hers very noisily. Unfortunate combo! The final unpleasantness came in being charged €2 for choosing to have my sandwich toasted!! Would have done without had I known that in advance - who knows, lunch may have been more enjoyable for it too.

A group of 8 of us ate here on saturday night. The food was boring and the portions too large. The staff were slightly eccentric and not particularly accomodating. I come to Glengarriff a lot and would suggest you try one of the other restaurants or bars in the village.
