We had a lovely family meal here during the Easter holidays. The childrens menu is truly fab: my three all opted for the fish and chips followed by coke floats, the chips were gorgeous and the fish was so fresh and lovely. The portions were generous, too, and they tucked in happily. Himself and I both opted for the organic salmon fillet, and I have to say it was the nicest salmon I've tasted in absolute yonks. The accompanying risotto was tasty too and went well with the fish, and again, the portions were ample. Despite being rather full, my brownie for dessert was so delicious that every bite was eaten. We loved everything about Richy's, service was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was really nice. A great place for a family meal, but would have been equally good for a romantic night out, or a boozy evening with friends.

My husband, toddler and I went there for breakfast in the new Cafe part of this restaurant. As breakfasts go, this was delicitious. The staff were exeptional and the cafe catered for little people with a healthy options menu and a toy corner for amusement. A lovely child freindly cafe with great food, value and atmosphere

Came here Sunday for brunch. It was really busy with almost every table full. The staff were great and let me order off the breakfast menu even though breakfast had finished a half hour before. The service was really good as they have these buzzer buttons on the table which you press when your ready to order or want the bill. Would have loved to have tried it for dinner as seemed like a really great place and the food was good.

We had to read & reread the menu and then double check with the waiter who confirmed, yes the special offer really was 3 Course Set Menu for €60 per couple(as opposed to per person) including a Bottle of Wine. Isn't that impressive? As we were driving, they obliged us and let us swap the bottle of wine for a bottle of water. Richy's is different to run-of-the-mill places and different in a refreshing way. The decor is cool and the buzzers are quirky. But buzzers always make me feel apprehensive, like I'm screaming for service. And Richy's don't compromise on quality in their set menu. I had a prawn starter, cod, peas and stringy chips and yummy apple and blackberry crumble. My husband had the cod too with chicken satay starter and creme brulee and stewed plum dessert. All really good and fresh and there were loads more choices on the blackboard and menu. I'll have to get back some day for their pavlova. I wasn't mad about the stringy chips. They were too crisp-like for my taste but I loved that the cod was served with no batter at all and that they were so obliging when I asked for cream instead of ice cream with my dessert. And I can't refrain from repeating....the special offer really is 3 courses plus wine for 2 people for €60!!!

Stopped here on the drive from Dublin to West Cork for lunch. Food was lovely, the 4 of us were happy, particularly those who went for Chowder - lovely and creamy. Service was patchy until we realised we had to Buzz the waiter - bizarre concept but actually pretty cool once you realise it's there (on reflection the waiter probably should have told us about it but then again she may be sick of it!!)

this lovely modern bistro was a real surpise when we found it in Clonakilty. Even on a busy Saturday night I couldn't fault any aspect of the place. There was a real buzz in the bistro with good music, food and service. The scallops I had were fantastic and my wifes lamb was cooked to a tee. I see from there advertising that they are now running a special set menu, a 3 course dinner including a bottle of wine for 60 euro, we are both looking forward to going back to this great place to check that out. Top marks to all concerned

Ate here last Saturday, 13th February. The restaurant was extremely busy; there was a great atmosphere, with a good mixture of couples and groups. My boyfriend and I shared the tapas plate as a starter. There was a good variety of tapas and the portions were just right. I would have liked chutney or yogurt to accompany my main dish of beef curry, I asked for chutney but was told there was none available. The steak was good and cooked as requested. We would consider returning to Richy's for a quiet, intimate dinner sometime.

Richy's is one of my favourite spots in clon because of unique menu which everytime I come with my boyfriend or friends I make sure I try something new of the menu because every bite is just beautiful bliss. There staff are brilliant and the atmosphere very electric.

Very welcoming bistro on the main street in Clonakilty, and was a welcome retreat for lunch. This lovely restaurant was filled with candles and staff were attentive and friendly. Food wise, we had the fish & chips, and steak and chips for lunch, and the steak won hands down. A 6 Oz sirloin cooked to perfection and served with a decent portion of chips for ~€15. The fish and chips were fine, nothing special. This bistro attracts lots of families with small children, and caters for kiddies with special meals and high chairs. Overall, a little expensive we thought, as specials for lunch were ~ €22-€25. However its a good spot and we will be back.

We popped in with some friends at lunch time and sat on the sofas and had some tapas style starters of the menu. The food and service were excellent and also the relaxed atmosphere made us have to drink a nice glass of wine. Will come back some time in the evening.

Having dined here on a few occations I can now say that this bistro is of a high standard. The food is consistantly top draw and the service is always warm and friendly. Fortunatly we dont have to travel far to sample thier delights but if we had to I would be more than happy to stay over in Clon too eat here and to enjoy the atmosphere of Clonakilty.

Went there with another couple for a night out. The menu was well thought out.Its always nice to experience something different and special when eating away from home. The meal was wonderful with everybody delighted with their choices. The food was tasty, well presented and perfectly cooked. The service was very friendly and we had a great night. We couldn't fault anything about the restaurant. The bill was reasonable for four people.

Have eaten here several times, but most recently in August. As usual it was great, eventhough they were really busy, the service was great & the food superb. Had the scallops to start and monkfish for main, so delicious. Would highly recommend it!
