It was our anniversary last night and we decided to go to Rolf's for dinner. We come here every during the summer months and I must say I really like it. We were surprised last night to discover that they have a special offer menu, which is €25 for two courses and €29 for three courses. Excellent value and the food was, as usual ,excellent. The reason I gave it four out of five for atmosphere was that it was fairly quiet, but nonethless we enjoyed our night, and will be back again.

A large group of us ate here last weekend for a set menu of €35 pp, excellent value for a 3 course meal, not including tea/coffees. I'd the starter of pate, a little disappointing, a big slab of pate on the plate, didn't appear to be homemade, also no toast served with it, just a basket of various breads on the table, but very nice. For mains I'd a delicious beef stroganoff, fillet beef, cooked medium, so unusual to find in a strognaoff with a delicious vodka cream sauce and a variety of mushrooms, superb!!!! Only thing I found with this, is that it was served with potoatoes & veg, not rice? All very nice all the same, with lovely sauted potatoes and a nice variety of seasonal veg. I skipped dessert but there was an excellent chocolate mousse by all accounts from the other ladies at my table! Good service, great wine menu too with a house wine very reasonable priced at €20. Would definitely make the trip back and as we were staying overnight I can highly recommend the full irish in the morning also!!!!!!

Couldn't fault the food here, it was just superb. I had the West Cork Black Pudding starter, wonderfully presented and taste to match. I had plaice for main, really delicate sauce with it, cooked to perfection. Creme Brulee dessert also kept up the standard. Downside - we were seated in a kind of corridor between two main seating areas, felt like we were out in the hall and as there was a large group at either side we felt a bit forgotten about at times. But for wonderful food, for a special occasion it really would be hard to beat. PS: Do not heed the 500yards from main road information on their website, we walked to it and it's a lot further.
