Food is really good from here. The club sandwich form here is legendary. For the price you pay you are definetly getting spoilt with quality and service. 5 stars.

Stopped here on the way down to West Cork from Kildare and the food was so good, we stopped off for dinner on the way back up as well. Beautiful food, generous portions and the place on both occasions was full of locals eating which is never a bad sign. Very reasonably priced. As pub grub goes, it up there with the best of them.

This restaurant is a favourite of all in Mitchelstown it seems. Portion sizes are generous, food is consistently creative and good and atmosphere buzzing. Service is the downfall with a consistent delay each time but overall a really worthwhile eatery.

We had dinner here on Saturday night... It seems to be very popular with everyone in Mitchelstown.... I had seafood chowder to start which was really good... I think this is often a dish that restaurants get wrong but THe Hunters Rest got it just nice... I then had the monkfish & scallops as main which I must say was amazing.... The portions are almost too big although I am not sure that is cause for a complaint - more a comment... The prices are very reasonable, staff are very friendly and all in all it is a nice place to eat.... I hope to be back there soon....

Came in here for a late lunch/early dinner as we were in the town for the afternoon. The food did not disappoint. We could chose from either the ala carte menu or the set lunch menu (that they were still serving). This is a nice quaint place with a welcoming atmoshere, The food was very nice. I especially enjoyed my main course of the New Yorker Chicken Burger. Would recomment it to anyone.

Excellent value for money is to be had at The Hunters Rest. All food from the huge menu comes in suitably huge portions. You will not leave hungry! Service is excellent, fast and friendly! The atmosphere is lovely, quaint pub style in one area and more modernised in another. A place to return to again and again.

Went for Sunday dinner after a night out in Fermoy. I have never eaten out in the town before but this place was great!! Huge portions and selection on the menu. I had a prawn starter and pasta for mains. Service was quick and polite. A little tight getting in and out of chair but that was the only negative I could find! Will be back some Sunday soon! :)
