Since this premises has been taken over by new owners in January 2012, the food, atmosphere and service are excellent. We had family stay at the hotel and had a meal with them in the bar, the menu for the bar has some great choices. Some were very hungry and went for steak, the ladies decided to have something lighter and chose a Monte Cristo Sandwich, fantastic value at €5.50, presentation was also wonderful. We also ordered a salad which again was delicious and great value. The steak was one of the best they'd had for a long time. Service was just right, enough to know they wanted to ensure you were enjoying your food and were there to get anything else you needed but not so much that you felt they were at your table constantly. It's very obvious the chef at this establishment takes great pride in his work as do the staff who manage the bar and restaurant. Definitely one to recommend and return to on a regular basis.
