Went here for late lunch, early dinner and it was amazing. We sat in the bar and enjoyed a drink first, whilst browsing the menu and placing our order. Once our food was ready, we were sat at our table and wow, what a treat - generous sized portions, relaxed atmosphere and great value for money. What a find, thank you to our friends for recommending this place, we would of never stumbled across it.

I have been visiting the Overdraught for over thirty years and I applaud their decision to introduce reasonably priced menus in these difficult times. Of course when you want a treat go the A La Carte route but the Euro 25 represents excellent value for money

My god ! why aren't people raving about the fantastic value in the Overdraught restaurant ! Three courses for 25 euro.I had the garlic mushrooms, himself had soup ! Fab! Very varied selection of main courses, fish, chicken, steak. I had the fish he had the steak. The only down side is that you get too much. Desserts : lovely selection. I WILL BE BACK.

I was not at all happy with this place. I will say I really enjoyed the food but I have so many complaints that I dont think I will ever go back. Firstly the road to this restaurant isnt a very good road. Also if you have kids the restaurant is pretty much on the road so there is nowhere for kids to play leaving them very confined inside for the day. My next complaint is that we had booked a table for my Dads birthday however when we got there we were early so we decided we would have a drink in the bar while looking at the menus. In the meantime the place started to fill up with people who wanted to eat in the bar and also with people who wanted to eat in the restaurant without a booking. The lady came and asked us if we wanted another drink. Without realising why we said we would but that was only so she could give away our table. If she had said what she was doing then we would have taken our table. We ended up having to wait ages to get a table and when we did we werent actually in the restaurant we were in an area off the bar and it was very very cramped. It was even impossible to move our chairs. When we got our food most of us noticed that there was some variation. For example I got chicken stuffed with black pudding as they had run out of ham and most people at our table got something slightly different to what they asked for because I think they were busier in the restaurant than thay had expected to be that day. To be honest our mistake was that we didnt complain on the day but at the time we didnt realise what had happened until later in the day. I dont think I will ever go back there... however I would be lying if I said that i didnt enjoy my food and it does get quite busy during the day so their is a good atmosphere but I did have a bad experience there.

Have been a good few times, very consistent place. It's not 5 star standard nor service, but the staff are always welcoming and genuine, and setting is great with proper Irish pub feel and big fireplace. Always end up eating in bar rather than dining area as it's cosier, which they never fuss about. Menu is typical Irish fare, we usually go on Sunday afternoon, so weekly roast meat, fish (usually salmon), veggie option. If you get this menu definitely go for the half portions as they are absolutely huge. Desserts are lovely homemade ones like Malteser cheesecake or crumbles, Starters are also pretty regular, soup, breaded mushrooms etc. all seem fresh, and homemade. The coffee is pretty bad, but it's the only thing that lets down the menu, so I usually just take the tea. Great place for a tired head on a Sunday to chill out before the week starts again.

If you are hungry this is the place to go. The menu is very much no nonsense bistro style with huge (I mean huge) portions. The seafood chowder was creamy (the way I like it but too rich for many people). Steaks were well cooked and I never got as big a portion of fresh scampi done in beer batter. This may not be (definitely isn't) the healthiest if places to eat but it's great value. A meal for 4 including two starters, four mains, one dessert one bottle of wine and three beers came to €171. Good value for what it is.

Very disappointed the last time I went. The service was slow despite it being half empty and the place was very cold. I found the food to be very greasy and the garlic potato was absolutely disgusting. I will be reluctant to go again.

Prob my favourite restaurant. The owner will look after you from the moment you enter. Extensive range of dishes on the menu and plenty of everything. Would really want to be hungry entering. Not the cheapest place around but justified by the overall quality of everything. A bar menu is also available for evenings and Sundays

Eat at this restaurant whenever we are celebrating an occasion. The food is of the utmost high quality. You can order in the bar and sit next to a roaring fire and they will call you into the restaurant when the starter is on the table.

Make sure you're hungry when you arrive here! A little bit out of the way but definitely worth a visit. Portions are huge and the staff very friendly. My only complaint would be the food can be abit slow...but they are always busy and everything is cooked to order...it is worth the wait especially the steak and seafood dishes. Sunday lunch is also good.
