Had a very enjoyable dinner here with an international group of 17 people. This is a really good restaurant with a lovely menu, good quality food and well priced. The staff are very attentive. The lamb main course was melt in the mouth. Everyone in the group was very pleased with the meal. Well worth a visit

Had lunch here the last time I visited and although I'm a fan the cagun chicken caesar salad left a little to be desired. The main of pasta was delicious however and chocolate cake a real treat. Service is always good and the prices reasonable enough.

Enjoyed a superb lunch on Saturday, 14th August. Food was delicious, a touch of gourmet as if it was evening dinner, every dish so beautifully presented and garnished. Homemade soups and breads scrumptious and want to compliment them on offering me two half portions when I couldn't decide between their two fine choices. It was likewise for dessert and this extra mile undertaken so willingly and with desire to please at all costs is a huge plus when dining and tasting is for me one of life's greatest pleasures! I loved their fresh fish dishes and such variety of same on the menu.Even though It was very busy service was superb. My husband and myself emerged from it as two very happy campers and can't wait for a return visit.

I visited this restaurant twice in recent months and was not particulary impressed either time. First, I had lunch which was reasonably tasty but nothing very spectacular. I started with a salad, had a chicken pasta dish for main and a meringue roulade to finish. On the second visit I went for the early bird dinner which I was extremely disappointed with. The portions were very small and so was very aware that I was getting less because I was only paying for the early bird. I had a salad to start which was very bland. Steak for my main which wasnt cooked very well and came with very few vegetables and potaoes. Finished with an apple crumble which actually burned my mouth as it had been in the microwave for too long. Also, because we got the early bird we didn't get a tablecloth or table candles like the other tables had.. I won't be returning..

Great night! Two of us had a meal here on a Friday night, the place was nicely buzzing from a good crowd and the atmosphere cntinued to grow through the night as more and more people arrived in the door. I had the mussels to start which were great, the sauce was probably the nicest I have ever had, then I had the duck for mains which was cooked to perfection. the warm date pudding for desert was to die for!! Will definitely return!!

First time here and have to say worth every penny. ( 2 course 20 euro, add a fiver for three)The early bird was made available to us even though we sat at 7.30. The staff were fabulous, so accommodating, it was my sister's birthday, and they brought out her dessert with a candle and music for the occasion, so cheesy it was brill!. The atmosphere was lacking, in that there were few enough in the restaurant, and it felt cold, even though it wasn't! The food, well the food was inoffensive, nothing that you could complain about, certainly with no flair or flash, just good eating. The starters were... fine, the Caesar salad a little over dressed, the mushroom soup was hearty and delicious, needed a little more seasoning, the potato cake, sorry fish cake, was fine. ( i'll never understand serving something with an Asian theme with pesto???) Sis had chicken for mains, with a mushroom sauce, fairly uninspiring. I had ordered pork, and it came out as a carvery dinner, apple sauce and gravy. The highlight was the boyo's hake, delicious and fresh with a little sauce. Desserts were good, cheese plate was substanstial, the chocolate/hazelnut parfait was heavy but fab, and sis had a hankering for jelly and ice cream, which staff duly organised! Overall this place was great for a 'dinner', but not occasion. brill

This restaurant is a favourite of ours when we are down Midleton direction. The food is excellent and is extremely good value for what you get. I especially like their Thai fish cakes and the iced hazelnut parfait is to die for! The service was hit and miss a few times but on this visit it was excellent. Wine list is quite good too.

The outside of the restaurant was lovely. We had booked our meal for 7.30 and when we arrived at 7.25 we were told that we were booked for 6.30. The woman and man we were dealing with were extremely rude and patronising and we had to ask if we could still have a table even though it was their mistake. We sat down feeling guilty, even though we were not in the wrong, and had to be moved around so another table could be fitted in to accommodate us. We then had to listen to the waitress telling the table next to us that we all had to be moved to accommodate us because of a wrong booking. I felt extremely angry at this stage and wanted to leave but didn't. Whatever happened to the customer always being right!? Fortunately the food was very nice, bar the main course. The steak was like leather but other than that the food, wine and coffee was lovely. All in all the service was good, presentation was excellent and the food was good value for money. But the way that we were treated was unacceptable considering we were not in the wrong and would deter me from ever going back.

Good quality food & service but missing the wow factor. The exterior is inviting & fits well with its French/Mediterranean style menu. Decor inside is light & airy but slightly bland & there is a lack of atmosphere, though on the upside the tables are nicely spaced apart. The service really was very good, we did not have to wait for anything - though equally it was not too fast - and felt seamless. My only criticism of the service would be that one of the waitresses had chipped pink nailpolish, enough said. Anyway, onto the main event; the food. We tried the trout, mussels & the calamari/prawn starters. The mussels were delicious & the rainbow trout disappeared before I could taste it so I am guessing it was good! I had the calamari/prawn starter which was fine but I think it could have been improved by using a light tempura batter instead of the crusty, curried batter currently employed. For main course we dined on duck, steak, pork & the trio fish special. I had the duck which in itself was lovely with a very tasty stuffing but was accompanied by a horrible, heavy, sweet, custard-like sauce which really nearly ruined it. Good reports on the steak, fish & pork but the accompanying vegetable/potato side was a disappointment. Carrots and broccoli, perfectly cooked but boring, & the most disgusting dauphinoise potatoes which were gluey & chewy & actually arrived cut in a square like a brownie! Dessert was a mixed bag & the menu is generally confused with a lot going on. Among those sampled were a delicious date pudding, a tasty fruit pavlova which sadly lacked any kind of crunch but had good fruit flavours & a creme brulee which was cold, came with a nasty little undercooked biscuit &, strangely, stewed rhubarb! Coffee was passable & the bill was reasonable. Overall Raymonds are very close to having something very special if they could reduce the amount of flavours competing on each plate let their good quality ingredients speak for themselves.

The food was fantastic and tasted great. The staff were very nice also. Prices were fair for the quality of food served. I would gladly dine there again if I were to spend a weekend nearby. Highly recommend a visit there.

ate here for lunch last sunday and it was great! i always assumed restaurants near tourist hotspots were a no-go but this place was amazing. menus are very reasonable for the food provided ( a lot of fish and local produce). I think a 4 course sunday lunch was 25/30, can't remember which. service was very good as well!

Everything on this menu is mouthwatering. I have been to Raymond's quite a few times over the past few years and it's always my first choice even though it's 25 miles from where I live - it's that good! It can be a bit crowded sometimes with people seated very near eachother but the food makes up for any uncomfortable seating.

I've eaten here on a few occasions. Food and service is always good. Can be a little tight for space at times and not very suitable for children but for an evening meal without the kids it's a good choice.

I ate at Raymonds this week and can only say that I cannot wait to go back. The four course menu for €45 gave a lot of choice and was great value for money. For a Thursday evening the place had a great buzz, the service was a little brisk at times but the food certainly made up for this. One of the very few places where when you order a steak medium/rare it actually is served to you that way. Well worth a visit I would highly recommend this restaurant

I have eaten at this restaurant twice and both times were a pleasure. I always have a fish dish and it has been perfect on both occasions. There is nothing intense or heavy on the menu and you get exactly what is described. The atmosphere is bright and calm and the tables are a perfect distance from one another. The staff were extremely friendly on both occasions and very helpful when setting up a high chair for a friends child. I would definitly recommend Raymond's for a leisurely lunch.

The food in Raymonds is absolutely gorgeous, even if the service is slightly snooty. I have visited here on a number of occasions and the service varied. It went from Brilliant to Brutal, it depends on who you get. The restaurant is small and intimate but very stylish. The food was done to a high level but you still get generous portions. They do take their time serving but I like that as you have time to chat between meals. There was no complaints over the food, the only downfalls were the service (which varied) and it is a bit expensive for this part of the country. Be carefull though, booking is def required.

Raymonds is a little gem, always a good meal. It offers good value for money and they regularly change their menu. One small critism, they very seldom have fillet steak on the menu which my husband likes to order, on the flip side it has made him become more daring in his choice. Their duck is to die for! If you haven't been here please go!
