This could be a very comfortable place if it wasn't for the noise level. This is mainly just due to people talking (as opposed to loud music) but the layout/architecture of this beautiful space makes it very loud. Food is good (bread, which is sold in the shop downstairs was very good), though not outstanding. Slight problem with the bill on the night, being charged for an item that was ordered but then unavailable, but this was handled well when pointed out. Service generally very friendly and professional. Would come back.

This place is a beautiful dining room and the menu is nice enough, not that adventurous, but the food is underwhelming to say the least. Dry chicken. filled pasta that packet pasta from the supermarket is better than. Steak that is far too cooked for the medium that was ordered. Fondant potatoes that tasted old, old potatoes are the worst. Good dessert though. But what is going ion the kitchen there. Such a beautiful dinning room, such a feeling of space, unusual to get in a Dublin restaurant, and you regret not just getting the food in the deli downstairs, or just a cheese plate in the the basement. The upstairs restaurant is the achilles' heel of this whole building as everything else is great. Service lovely and friendly as it is throughout the building, but will only be going back for ground floor deli or cheese and wine in the basement.

Had heard a lot of good things about this restaurant and I wasn't disappointed! Dined with two friends mid week and the atmosphere was buzzing, waiters attentive without crowding and food exceptional. We all had different starters, the asian pork belly salad was delicious and just the right amount, the caesar was a bit bland but it was just a cesar salad so was what was expected and no more. For mains we all ordered the steak and it was cooked to perfection. We ordered off the pre-theatre menu so it was great value, only minor negative was the main tables run across the floor with no break so you are close the the person next to you if seated there but I will definitely be returning, highly recommended!
