I visit friends in Cork every few months and part of my visit always includes eating here. It was very busy the night we ate here and we had a short wait for a table but we were served quickly once seated. The food is always top notch and I order something different every time. The portion sizes are enormous, I've yet to finish whatever they put in front of me and always leave with a doggy bag which makes for great hangover food the next day. I can't fault the price either even though I'm paying for 4 every time. Excellent food, excellent value, excellent location, fabulous desserts, what more could you ask for?

Service is definitely lacking in Bullys, nothing worse than being walked past by the waitress when your ready to order. Food there is average some dishes are good and some not so much, All in all if your looking for avaerage food at an average price this is the place.

Went to Bully's last night. Had a lovely meal with my husband. Food was delicious, had to bring it half home as I was too full! The only small complaint that I have is that we were waiting to be served for about 15 minutes, saying that they were extremely busy. Also after our food was ordered, it came quite fast. Overall a great experience and we'll def be going back. Thanks,

We had dinner with some of our family including our 1 year old grandson. The food was excellent and we all got exactly what we asked for. We have eaten here on a number of occasions and love the food. The tables can be a bit cramped though. On this occasion we were sitting in the window table and it was a sunny evening and we did find it a bit too warm but with the weather we are having his summer it was nice to feel some sun. All in all we find Bullys good value for money.

This restaurant is great for hearty italian themed food at reasonable prices. I have visited this restaurant several times in the past few months and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The wine list is good too. I recommend the chicken wings or the mushrooms as a starter. The pizzas are very good for main course, and their specials are always worth a look. great value for money. The only "complaint" if you could call it that, is that they seem to play the same CD any time we are there....

We were staying nearby and decided to give Bullys a try. The restaurant isn't that large and a couple of tables are a bit squeezed together so it seems slightly cramped. To start I had very nice ribs though they could have done with some more bbq sauce. My better half had garlic mushrooms which must have been great as she didn't offer me any. We both had pizzas for mains and they were the best pizzas we have had in ages. We just about managed space for a massive slice of chocolate cheesecake which was fab. For the restaurant we spent slightly more than we expected but if you just went in for pizzas and to share a dessert you won't be disappointed.

My friends and I visited here one evening after being out all day. I cant fault the food, you really get a tasty meal at a very reasonable price. The only thing was the manager wasn't very pleasant to us as we had a four month old child and she wasn't very accommodating to our needs. I would definitely return, perhaps we just caught her on an off day.

On the way back from a lovely weekend in Killarney we decided to eat before reaching home. We decided on Bullys in Douglas, this is a regular eating place for us for many years. We can rely on quality of food, service and value. To start we had garlic mushrooms and deep fried brie all great. For mains I had my usual which always pleases me, canneloni chicken, delicious, served with garlic toast and a very simple but lovely salad. My husband had the Pizza and it was excellent. We had a very nice bottle of Pinot Grigio. Never dissappointed here.

We had the early bird menu here on a Sunday evening, and pretty much the only positive comment we could make is that the early bird is decent value (4 courses for €20). The service really wasn't very good. The staff were brusque and impatient, even though it didn't seem to us that the place was all that busy. Our mains were plonked down on the other side of the table from us when they were served - we had to stand up and reach across to pick them up ourselves. The food was fine, but in the same way that a microwave dinner is fine. The steak which we had ordered rare was medium to well done, and the vegetarian lasagne had obviously been sitting under the heat lamp for a while as there was a thick skin on the top which we had to scoop off before we could eat it. The garlic bread was just toasted sliced white pan with garlic butter on it - a bit more effort could have been made for sure. All in all, it was what my partner and I have affectionately nicknamed a Brisk Food restaurant, i.e. nicer surroundings than a Fast Food restaurant but not much better in terms of food and service.

I have eaten at Bullys in Douglas on a number of occasions. Always in the afternoon - late lunch time. I find the service to be good and the atmosphere nice, albeit a bit quiet. However, I do tend to go after the lunch rush is over. I find the food to be very reasonable and find the half pizza and chips to be an especially good deal. (Although they do put too much cheese on the pizzas for my liking). Also their banoffi pie is lush. Definitely a place I will be visiting again.

Went there last Friday for lunch with my family. Two people got the Bullys Special (this chicken dish with cheese and slices of sausage), my partner got a pizza and chips and I got the burger and chips. My food was delicious and everyone else really loved their food too! The only thing I would change would be to have chunky chips instead of skinny chips, but that would be more of a preference thing! For dessert, three of us got warm apple crumble with ice-cream and cream and butterscotch sauce, it was mouth-watering. One person got the chocolate cake with ice-cream, cream and chocolate sauce and she loved it too. Everything came to about €60 which included tea and drinks during the meal too which was pretty good! Will definitely be back again!

We went here on a wednesday night and the place was hopping. There was a set menu and the regular menu. The set menu is incredibly good value at €20 for 4 courses. We had a great night, the food was excellent and the staff really friendly. We'll be back!

bullys used to be a firm favourite of mine but i think they dont do themselves justice. the food is only ok. (except when they have the creole chicken on as a special. unreal) chips are fairly poor. service isnt great with bored looking waitreeses looking like they want u to hurry up and go so they can clear the table. i remember going to bullys when i was younger and had the most unbelieveable food. you could nearly smell the pizza down the road from the oven they used to have in the restaurant itself. They should realise what they used to do sooo right and go back to it. It says a lot when i go in on a sat evening with no booking and can sit straight away. what a shame

Not great - overcooked pasta! Lots of people rave about Bullys as it offers good value for money, however I beg to differ. I met a friend for lunch here and had a pasta dish with chicken and tomato sauce. Not hard to get wrong -usually. The pasta was overcooked, and stuck together in lumps and there was so much on the plate that I could hardly pick out what I wanted to eat. Normally I'm not overly fussy, especially at lunchtime when I'm starving, but I won't come back here. Service was good however, and the restaurant was clean and well laid out.

I had visited Bully's when it was in Bishopstown and always found it ok, this Bully's is no different. We went in a group, waitress was very friendly and efficient enough but everything in Bully's is only ok. Average prices, average food, average service.

Bully's is a nice family style type 'bistro'. The food is good but I think it could be a little cheaper .. as it would not be up to the same standard as other eateries in the vicinity. I regularly ate here when the kids were smaller as they have great facilities .. crayons and paper etc... Friendly staff too!!

Ate here on xmas eve in a group of 7. Everyone thought the food was very tasty - with my own choice of t-bone steak worth a mention. It was cooked to perfection and came with a sizable portion of chips, an onion ring and a large mushroom. For less that 20 euro it was real value for money. The lack of a beer license is a bit of a pain - especially since the wine list is poor. Please, please, give me a reason why many restaurants do not chill bottles of white wine. Putting them in a wine cooler on the table does not suffice. Also, having to continually ask for a refilled jug of water is a pain. Desserts were ok. nothing special. It wouldn't be my first choice in Douglas, but i can see myself returning at some stage.

Good food, no fuss and good value. Interior could do with a bit of a face-lift. A bit dated and tired looking.
