Food was absolutely lovely, fresh and quick. The sevice was a bit disappointing as they kept getting our order wrong and we found it a bit expensive for what we got. We had small children with us and were sat away from everyone else which was a good idea as we didn't have to worry as much about the children disturbing the other customers. The desert menu was very boring however peach ice tea is gorgeous.

If your looking for something a bit different, wagamama will do just that! A Japanese style noodle bar with a wide variety of dishes, including rice and noodle dishes, Wagamama Cork has a pleasant atmosphere and efficient staff. The side dishes in particular are good - try the gyoza, you won't be disappointed! The only thing about the set up they have is if you dont like sitting next to strangers it might not be the place for you. a canteen style seating plan gives a slight sense of separation from your partner. you wont notice this as much if you are in a 4+ group though. Perfect for dinner before a night out or a movie.

’m a regular user of Wagamamas. The staff are always friendly and really efficient even during the busy hours. The lunch time offers are really good value. Wagamamas is a great place to catch a last minute meal and even late at night when most kitchens are closing. The new menu has lots of new options to try - the new coconut based dishes are very nice and there are more seafood selections also.

Wagamama's is a great place to drop in for fresh, tasty and reasonably priced food. There was a large queue out the door on this occasion but it moved quiet quickly as the service is so good. There was a great buzy as usual in the restaurant and we enjoyed good quality food.

I like the benches and the idea of eating together. However, when I went there with my son, we were shown to an out of the way place by ourselves. Very good tasty food. Nice addition of free green tea. My only slight gripe is with the noodles and chicken on the kids' menu. The portion was tiny and the noodles had obviously seen better days. Go for the rama instead. I have never tried the desserts as the main course portions are just too big, but the idea of the very different flavours really appeals to me. I'd recommend it

Love the style of Wagamama, the benches make it feel really intimate and authentic. I was a little disappointed with my meal - I had the katsu chicken curry - but my friend's dish was lovely. Id be willing to give them another shot but would try a different main. Coconut ice cream for dessert was lovely

I was here for a very quick dinner on the 9th. I receved a voucher by email offering 2 for 1 main course from wagamama so i decided to eat out. ( you can register with their website and you will receive the offers by email) by the end of the night i kind of felt disappointded. I am not sure weather it is their food or maybe just that I am not keen on japanese food, but every time I come here I am a little disappointed and feel that the food is a little bland. I guess it is ok but for a thai lover, with love for strong flavours, japanese just does not hit the spot. The service was good enough and one thing, it was very fast. I guess it is good that they have offers as well so the value was very good. We had 2 main courses for 17 euros with the 2 for 1 offer which is very good. I would say, it's not for everybody.

I was very happy with my first visit to Wagamamas. The food was lovely-I tried with the chopsticks but gave up halfway through and opted for the fork! The service was very good, really quick. Best of all-really cheap!

We (2 adults & 2 kids) ate in Wagamama on Sunday of the August weekend. I love the atmosphere here, casual and normally friendly, and the kids love the relaxed seating. The food is superb and in my opinion is the best 'fast food' around. I has teriyaki salmon soba, my huband had the curry and they kids ate from the kids menu (grilled chicken with noodles and fried rice). The kids menu is great value, and Wagamama often issue 2 for 1 vouchers if you are on their mailing list. The food was fantastic and totally fresh. Our only quibble was the waiter who would very obviously rather not be there! We would have stayed for dessert and coffee but went elsewhere because of his attitude.

Wagamama is by far my favourite casual restaurant ever! On this occasion I went with my wife and the food was as always up to it's usual high standard. For starters we shared the deep fried squid which was very tastey. As a side tip I'd recommend asking for a wedge of lime, goes very well with this dish. For mains I had the beef teryaki with udon noodles and my wife had the chicken chilli men, both of which were light on the stomach and devine! These were washed down with a freshly squeezed fruit juice and a few asian beers. Service on this particular night wasn't great, though usually the service here is fantastic. Our waiter forgot to bring our water and our beers, he did the same with the guys next to us. Perhaps he was a new employee here and was just getting used to the place, but it won't affect our opinion of the place at all. Wagamama is a fantastic place for casual dining, the food is healthy and the service is usually very fast.

Went to wagamama for dinner on saturday night with two friends. There was a que to get in but the wait was not long. Items on menu did not look too exciting for me. Two of us had the chicken katsu curry and the other went for yaki soba. Didn't take long for the food to arrive despite the busy night. Tasted the katsu curry, definitely nothing to shout about. Breaded chicken with some sort of curry sauce with rice and salad. The taste reminded me of fast food. The yaki soba i thought tasted better but there was more noodles than anything else. Had the choya plum wine as well, nice and sweet. Overall the experience was average, price-wise not too expensive but it's not exactly cheap either. Might still drop by sometime in the future to give this place a second chance.

One of my favourites. I really like Asian food, & Wagamama never fails to delivers great experience every time I went there. The atmosphere is great for hanging out with friends, although it can be a bit loud at peak times. The food is great, & the portion is large. I'm not the kind of person who like to try new things, so I always order the same food. And the staff is really efficient. All in all, I would love to return back to Wagamama whenever I got a chance.

I love asian food and am always looking for an excuse to go to wagamammas. its a much healthier alternative to the typical chinese takeaways.. and besides, i love noodles in soup. Its not the type of restaurant you go to when your looking to wine and dine your woman, but it is ideal for chilling with your friends. The seating is cafeteria style, and the food comes out to you when it is raedy ... so if you've ordered something that takes no time at all to put together and someone else orders a much more time consuming dish then you will be eating before they do. All in all, the value is good however the drinks are a tad pricey.

I've eaten in a couple of Wagamamas before so I knew what to expect. The food is good. I must mention though that when I had just started to wonder where my main was the waitress appeared to tell my friend and I that there had been a problem with our order and that we could have complimentary desserts. I duly did and had a really nice slice of cheesecake. It's not often you get such a gesture in this country without making a song and dance. Well done!

I visit Wagamamas at least once a month. I am a big fan of Asian food and Wagamamas offers me a more healthy option than Chinese take away! Mostly I eat there but I have gotten take away on a few occasions and that was very nice too. The canteen-style seating doesn't bother me as you still have enough room to be comfortable. The menu is varied but I always go for the duck/prawn gyozas and yaki soba/yaki udon. You certainly should never leave hungry if you like what you have chosen. On my last visit on the above date, I chose something different for a change as it was lunch time. I chose the wagamama ramen which is a noodle soup dish with prawns, chicken, veg, etc. However it should have said prawn and not prawns as I could only find one prawn! I found this dish rather tasteless and I was not satisfied by the time I was finished. In future I will be sticking to what I know which is unlike me as I normally like to try new things! I would definitely recommend Wagamama to anyone who likes Asian food and dining there can be an experience in itself.

Great value and consistent quality food from Wagamama every time I go. I think the drinks are a little over-priced and the mains are much better value than the appetisers, but so tasty! If you are seated very near the kitchen it can be incredibly noisy, which was our experience on this occasion, although I've never noticed this before. Maybe the teppanyaki chef was having a bad day and was taking his frustrations out on the grill!

I went there for an early dinner. The place was very busy and we had to wait for our table. I had the yaki udon and the noodles were very dry and a bit burnt. My partner had the absolute wagamama menu which was very good value and it was much tastier than mine. I was very dissapointed this time. However, I would like to go back and try something different.

We had a nice meal here a couple of weekends ago - delicious teryaki chicken noodles, and a pretty good coconut prawn curry dish (though the prawns were miniscule, and not enough of them). After a main each and a couple of beers we were feeling a bit peckish, and ordered the chicken+veg dumpling appetiser. At 8quid for 5 tiny dry, tasteless dumplings we were very dissapointed. I would sum it up by saying - the mains at Wagamama offer great value at around the 12-14euro mark. They use the freshest ingredients, and everything is cooked to order. However, the appetisers are very over priced for what they are. Though my sister tells me they have a delicious soy bean appetiser.. so gonna try that next time!

Wagamama's is fast and efficient restaurant. I tend to go there for a quick meal. The menu doesn't change much so you know what to expect...maybe an issue for some though. They offer knives and forks as an alternative to chopsticks so don't be afraid to ask. Food is not over priced, though it is served as it is ready so you could be eating well before your friends!

I went for a meal before Christmas with a friend. Service was fast and efficient but not in your face. The food was very tasty & not over priced. My one complaint is that the main courses arrive when they are cooked rather than together. Overall a great night out

Wagamamas is my favourite resarant in cork. Its good for every occasion, casual lunches, special dinners, and big gatherings. There menu is interesting and diverse, and even if your not too adventorous, there will still be something on it to suit you. The price is very affordable and they are always bringing out new offers, sepecially if you are a menber on there mailing list;. At the start of this month i went there on a feed 2 people for the price of one :) everything i have tryed so far has been really amazing, but my favourite so far is the katsu curry, number 71 / 72. They are also excellent for vegatarians! i love there appitisers also.... The atmosphere with the special seating arrangements are very fitting, and the service is always very friendly and quick. Cant find one bad thing to say about this place! Its so gooooood!

I love Wagamama! The Cork location is terrific. It's perfect for a quick lunch or light dinner. Only one complaint: I tried the shichimi squid here, and it was not nice. It was chewy and bland; I couldn't finish it. Everything else was fine! The Yaki Soba is very good and you feel healthy eating it. It's not greasy and has lots of fresh vegetables in it. I think it's expensive to eat here, but I guess that comes with fresh ingredients when they're cooked to order.

We always go here as it is such a nice place to go. it caters for all needs. If you need a quick lunch or a nice meal in the evening or at night, this will give you whatever you want. We also use it as a takeaway. On this particular time we went, i got the Katsu Curry, which is really really nice. and is something that anyone would eat. even a picky eater who doesnt like to try new food (ie. me). My friend had the Yaki Soba. and said it was lovely also. We had 2 side dishes, Tori Kara Age was one. and the other was negima yakitori. Both were really nice. both are chicken. Service is always quick. all the dishes are made to order. Price is good also.

This is a fast food joint. No more, no less. Its for people who want lunch on the run but want something tasty, filling and healthy. The food is goooooood!!! It certainly hits the spot! I hadn't been here in ages and we ended up here spontanously after work and I had fogotten how much I love this place!!! The service is quick, friendly and efficiant. They assist you if you dont know what to eat. GREAT VALUE! I've never once left Wagamamas feeling broke and unfulfilled. It doesn't break the bank and it fills you up. A stable favourite in Cork city for a non fussy feed.

We went for dinner here and it was delicous! I had noodles with chicken & coriander and my boyfriend had prawns in a very tasty yellow curry sauce with rice. The juices also are really tasty. The only thing I would say is that they nearly serve too fast! We ordered and 5mins later we had all our food on the table!!! So don't go here if you want to get hungry while you are waiting for your food... ;)

We went for lunch here on a saturday afternoon. This was my first time to Wagamamas and I had been looking forward to it because noodles are a favourite of mine. I do like the layout of the restaurant, you do get a feel of japaneese fast food but in a good atmosphere. We ordered the Yaki Soba and some chicken dish that i forget the name of (it was chciken in panko breadcrumbs, sticky japaneese rice and curry sauce.) We are both fans of the Yaki soba that we have had in other establishments but this version is quite tasteless by comparison. The manager did admit that they have Westernised this dish to make it more palateable to a wider audience, and while I appreciate this (it seemed to be the most poplar dish coming out of the kitchen), it is to the detriment of the dish, in my opinion. While the food was disapointing (though the other dish was tasty and enjoyable), the manager was very helpful and I would go back here, but I would be relying on the wait staff to advice me on what was more traditional and flavoursome, and what had been westernised for a wider audience. On a related note, looking at my receipt afterwards, I was shocked to see that they were charging over 5 euro for a 750ml bottle of still water. Having spent some time abroad this summer, where a similar bottle of water with your dinner would be less than 2 euro, this came as a surprise...are we that expensive as a country?

Have eaten quite a few times in wagamama. Its cheap and cheerful, great food and is nice and quick, and not too filling if your heading for a night out. If your looking for something a bit different than the norm, then this is your place. Theres something for everyone on the menu, from plain to spicy, or you can ask for it done as you would like!!! You are seated on long tables, so you could be alongside anybody which is quite oriental and cool. That is actually the reason I gave atmosphere 3 and a half this time, as there was a women next to us with her two daughters, and they shouldnt have brought her there, by the sounds of things, she was more used to FINE DINING (or thought she was anyhow). So she kind of put us off our dinner, cause we were sick of hearing her complaining, but the staff member looking after them and the supervisor that was called over, were well able to look after her, and did so well, considering she was possibly one of their most difficult customers! Anyhow, brought my mum and sister, and they loved it. We had the prawn dumplings between us, and our mains were all a bit different and I had the most divine frozen yoghurt with berries for dessert, it was yummy! its also great when you are seated, it is an open plan kitchen so you can see the chefs at work.....Love Wagamama and would highly recommend it. A few people came in while we were there for take away also, so thats good to know!

I have eaten here a few times and i love it, they use really fresh ingredients and the seafood is delicious, the lunchtime menu is great value and sometimes they do buy one get one free offers on pigsback which makes it even better. This place is great for a quick meal and the prices are reasonable, i recommend the Gyozo and the Katsu curry.

I have been here a few times for lunch and dinner and it is very hit and miss. Some dishes I love and others have been incredibly disappointing. We get take away sometimes too and portions are generous, prices are the same as if you eat in which doesnt make sense really plus they do not deliver. Service has always been good but it can really lack atmosphere if not busy plus the wooden benches do not promote you sitting around chatting! It is more of a dine and dash place.

After strolling in from Fitzgerald Park we were looking for a place to eat and came across Wagamamas. Being fans of the Dublin branch we popped in. Having children the Cork branch has a big plus in that its straight off the street and no stairs to negotiate. For 6 o clock on a Sunday it was very busy. As with Dublin, service is very efficient and food as usual is very good. The main courses offer very good value though the sides are less value very money though still very tasty. If back down south will definitely pop in

Poor value for money. Being Asian, I'm very particular about my noodles and found wagamama's noodles so tasteless that I had to add loads of soysauce. I can definitely make better noodles myself! Service wasn't great either!

Went with a group of six girls. We didnt book just walked straight off the street. It was Fantastic. We were told we would be waiting 15 minutes , but within 5 we were seated. The Service was excellent and the food was second to none , as always. One or two of the group were new , but will defo be going back again.

This place is simply great, every time we want to go out as a family we go to Wagamama! They gave my 2years old colors and a nice place mat he could write on. The service can be a bit slow sometimes but is overall well above the average. The food is tasty, freshly prepared, with great quality ingredients. We love it!

Im not sure if I get this place. Food seems to all taste the same and the place is uncomfortable. I dont think its for me. Service cannot be faulted and food certainly is a pleasant change from the norm but Its always so noisy and I feel as though im sitting on top of the people beside me..very cramped.

I love it! Yum, this place is great. Have to say, you do have to get used to communal dining on long benches, and chopsticks, but it's worth it. I have been here so many times, and will never get sick of Wagamamas. Service is always brilliant, food is continuously fab, and there are great deals here at lunch times. If you want a quick bite to eat, or even a meal with friends then this place is great. I might go elsewhere for a romantic meal though. Otherwise, top marks!

Found the canteen style seating a bit soulless, but great if you are going for a bite on your own and don't want to look conspicuous! Service was very attentive but a bit pushy on the upselling!! Food and value were great though so I'd definitely recommend it especially for a casual relaxed quick bite!

Love this place. Have docked one point off as the place often has a cafeteria feel to it, not the kind of place for a romantic meal. Also docked one point for a japanese place not having sushi - my favourity japanese food. This place is also more asian fusion than japanese. Fav drink is plum wine. Little expensive, but great healthy food.

Cannot fault Wagamama's one bit. A fantastic, reasonable place to eat with a friendly atmosphere and amazing food. Got a Take-Away from here one night and expected food not to be as nice as eating in. I was mistaken, absolutely out of this world. 10/10!

This was my first time to eat in Wagamama and i have to say i was a little dissapointed. Maybe its because I had read so many excellent reviews. anyway the staff were lovely and quickly took our order. We have chicken gyoza and chicken skewers to start. both were nice. Then I had chicken chilli men which was very bland and my husband had chicken katsu curry which was much tastier than mine. the athmosphere was very relaxed and family orientated with lots of kids who looked to be really enjoying themselves and their food. i will try again and hopefully enjoy more next time.

I am a regular of the branch in Dublin, but was bitterly disappointed about Cork. In Dublin, the staff are friendly and will do anything of the menu for you practically. In Cork, this was different. The waitress was rude, and wouldn't check the kitchen for anything, which in the end could have been done. The food wasn't as nice as Dublin's, and a few special orders which generally have no problems miraculously had them. If I'm back in Cork, regrettably, I will avoid it.

If you like Asian cuisine you'll love this place. As far as I know they don't take bookings.. but they have a quick turnaround.. it's a cross between a fast food place and a nice brightly light restaurant, it works very well. The food is superb.. the only issue you might have is the seating arrangements, this is part of the reason they can seat people quickly when busy.. the tables are rows of benches.. so you could be stuck elbow to elbow with 2 different groups of people on either side of you.

Consistently very good lunchtime spot, the dumplings are super and the staff good, casual and positive. Usually these (they are a branded chain) are basement level, so nice to see at street level. The shared long tables mean its not somewhere for a quiet chat.

I've gone to Wagamamas a number of times, always at lunch time. The lunch special is fantastic value. The staff are friendly and efficient. The food is extremely tasty, you are served very quickly even at peak hours and you get a good sized portion, I've never come out of there hungry. The menu offers options for all tastes and the staff are willing to guide you in your choice. I love that you eat with chopsticks (you can get cutlery if you choose to).

The first time I went here I ordered something that I could not eat, just not my thing. When the waiter realized I wouldn’t eat it he sat down with me and went through the menu and I ordered again and they replaced it for free, couldn’t be any nicer. I only order 2 dishes there now just in case but love trying other peoples food I’m with. Not for fussy eaters, ask them to go through menu with you.

Very relaxed and casual dining and its nice to see the chefs in action in front of you!! Out of sink with this was the waiting staff towering over you waiting on your every move to quickly grab the plate from under you before you hardly rest your fork on your plate, this indirectly is in total contrast to the setting and turns the place into merely a fast food outlet, the main dish I had was hard to finish , uncooked courgettes (not close to al dente)and chicken in a tomato sauce, pity I knew one of the chefs from collage as I would have sent it back, would never return again!!! Go for a real thing I say!!!!

OK... get used to the idea of sitting beside strangers and you're away with it. It’s reasonably priced and a good spot for a midweek catch up... The fat noodles are a bit off putting but I had a lovely veggie dish and would come back here again. Staff are enthusiastic and chilled out!

Ate here for lunch and found it to be very good value, staff were really friendly and it was a completely new experience for me! Thankfully I could use a fork instead of the difficult chopsticks! My boyfriend had yakisoba which he really enjoyed. I had a green curry the only thing I didn't like was that the chicken was battered making it a little less healthy but I'll be back all the same!

Visited this restaurant with three friends. Was uncertain about attending a Japanese restaurant because having never been to one before I was unsure what to expect. We arrived at 1pm on a Thursday and the place was extremely busy. Despite this, we were seated and had ordered within 10 minutes. I ordered the Yaki soba and the Tiger Beer as did one of my friends while the others opted specials from the lunch menu. After the order, one of my friends got their order pretty much after 2 minutes while the rest of us waited a few minutes after before we got ours. The Yaki Soba was delicious and I was just comfortably full when finished and not too packed. Everyone enjoyed their meals too. Also, theu offered to provide us with forks instead of the chopsticks provided if we wanted. The staff are extremely nice and we were asked three times by members of staff if everything was ok for us. When settling the bill, they were unable to split the bill so that we could each pay separately, however they did provide us with change so that was no problem. Overall, a great experience and I will most definitely be back for more.

One of my favourite restaurants!! I used to go to Wagamama in Dublin at St. Stephen's Mall, and ever since I've moved to Cork last July, I've been to this one countless times with my friends after church! Absolutely love the food, everything is a must-try, although I must say I haven't tried all :)

Go here with the girls a lot because one of my friends is a vegetarian. We all love the food here and it is just so cheap and cheeful. I normally have either the steak teriyaki or the kore lomen (which I am delighted to say serve more than 3 prawns now in each serving). Both are just gorgeous and would highly recommend them to all. With the kore lomen, I always ask for it without cucumber and the staff are always so accomodating. This time around I had the Cha-Han which is a fried rice dish with chicken and prawns, mushrooms etc. It was really lovely and tasty but a huge portion and I wasnt able to finish it. The white chocolate and ginger cheese cake or the chocolate wasabi fudge always go down a treat with us girls also. Who doesnt love Wagamamas, I ask you?

I love Japenese food and I have tried it in several places, including Asia...and I have to say I thought this restaurant was only ok. Plus why are there no Japanese chefs? My husband is from Asia and knows real Japanese food and he also agrees that the food is only ok.

This is a favourite of ours. Child friendly no long waits. The good thing is the kids can experiment with small dishes and the taste buds are challenged. You can also go for a really health option and feel very virtuous. Thank god it's in Cork, It's a very reliable and good fallback option.

The nicest, healthiest fast food available in Cork. And the desserts are sublime particularly the white chocolate ginger cheesecake(perhaps not so healthy that part!). I wouldn't recommend it however if you want to set down and mull over a bottle of wine while eating - it's more an 'eat and go' type of place.

Went last sunday and I have to say it was good but not as good as it used to be; noodles were overcooked and tofu was a bit tastless, it didnt pick up much flavour from the shrimps and the other ingredients. My boyfriend had a ramen dish and he said the beef was okeyish. Service is still very good though comparing to many other places but then again this is part of the restaurant philosphy.

This place is a real treat, as I don't think anyone can really understand the menu and your meal will never look as you expected it to be. But, one thing is for sure, the food is as fresh as they come, and that really makes it for Wagamama. The seating arrangement might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it works for the type of clientele they get. Was there a few weeks ago, just before x-mas and I was really attracted to the place after seeing the long queues. So by going a bit early around 7ish you get to miss the rush and have an enjoyable experience. Will definitely go there again.

Not a place to go for a long evening chatting over food with friends. A real humdinger of a restaurant that do a fantastic lunch special menu complete with freshly squeezed fruit juice. A place for the adventurous and curious alike. Staff friendly and helpful and are only too happy to explain the menu. Food very healthy and was a nice change to be pleasantly full having left a restaurant as opposed to being "Stuffed"!! have to try it

There was a time when I used to go to Waga's every Wednesday. God, I miss those days! The food is divine. There is simply no other word for it. The service is great - really laid back even though the staff are always rushed off their feet. Even though I request many changes to my dishes (allergies, sorry guys!) they are always courteous, lovely, kind, and never have they screwed it up. There used to be one guy who would recite my order back & go "no onion, no ginger, no spring onion - no taste, no flavour..." I can't praise Waga's enough. The food is so fresh & delicious, so cheap, so quick & filling. Plus they do take away.....

Been there a number of times now and was never disappointed by the food. The service can vary a bit but is always friendly. I’ve had different dishes (mostly ramen and noodle dishes) but I can never go without one of the fresh fruit juices, my favourite being the apple & orange juice. Food is of high quality, very fresh and plentiful. One of the best places in Cork to go if you want good value, good quality food and don’t want to wait too long. A great deal is their lunch time menu - you can get that until 16.30!!!

Three words: LOVE LOVE LOVE! This place is great for a healthy delicious quick meal. Lovely atmosphere in there. The yaki soba noodle dish is great and can't go without a fruit juice!

This is the ideal place for a quick nutrious feed before you hit the town. They are very fast and it is a great place to meet different people. The atmosphere is the best in here as you feel you have landed in some little Asian heaven and really makes you feel like you're eating in some part of Asia but instead you're smack bang in the middle of the city. Great fun, great price and great food

I really love the food here. Always get the same thing...the gluten free Wagamama ramen and it’s always delicious. The staff are very friendly, and although they all appear very laid back the service is very fast and very efficient. I like the way you can see the chefs cooking the food and watch the different dishes going out. Will definitely be going back.
