Often been to the Viaduct for carvery lunch and always been impressed by it's freshness, efficiency and great value for money. First time trying the evening menu last weekend and the full car park should have been a good enough indication of the great food. Excellent service, we were not waiting long at all for our soup and prawns, the first served with some lovely soda bread and the latter with a crisp side salad and chilli dipping sauce. Main course was a sirloin steak, best had in a long time, my friend told me. Cooked to perfection, a great sized steak served with pepper sauce, mushroom, onions, fries and a side salad. I choose the supreme of chicken on a bed of mash, with a delightful mushroom & tarragon sauce and accompanying veg. Beautiful dish I have to say. At €19.95 and €14.95 respectively, they were both great value. We will return as we had to pass on desserts but will definitely be returning to the Viaduct, full marks.

Haven't been to the Viaduct for a long long time, at least 5 years! Decided to come here with my father for Sunday lunch, as the carvery here was always great! Car park was fairly busy, as was the restaurant and the queue for the carvery was very long too, this being said it moved very quickly and we weren't waiting long. Decor of the restaurant hasn't changed much over the years, still like a traditional public house. Food is absolutely gorgeous in here, nothing to complain about. Great selection of desserts on offer too, along with soup as a starter if you wish. I just had my main meal, carvery... Turkey and Ham and it was gorgeous, and the veg was cooked to perfection too. My father had the banoffe pie as a dessert, to which I had a small taste, as I am trying to avoid sweets, after overindulging throughout the week and I have to say it was quite nice too! Always pretty cheap here too if your on a budget, so all in all highly recommended. Thanks, - Patrick

First impressions were the car park was jammed, thought we would be ages waiting but had a table and lunch on it within 15 minutes. great selection of carvery, they also do 1/2 portions which is more than enough and this was €8.50. Fast turnover , we reckoned there was at least 100 people eating and as each person left there was more coming in. well reccommended.

It's usually a Sunday when I visit the Viaduct. They are well-known for their good carvery but I'm not a fan of carvery so I can't comment on that! I always go for the bar menu which has plenty for me to choose from. More often that not I order the duck and it is always spot on! The staff are very friendly and there is always a good atmosphere. It's also very handy to visit as there is plenty of parking available.

Excellent pub for a casual lunch. Close to city centre, but also a good place to stop if passing on the way to west Cork. There is both a carvery and menu with sandwiches, toasted sandwiches, baguettes, enchiladas, wraps and more. Both are superb value with good food. Staff are friendly and attentive. A most enjoyable experience at a wonderful price.

The Viaduct's food is good, and the service is good aswell. Usually a nice quiet bar/restaurant to go to, but every Sunday, the place is jointed and loads of screaming kids for the carvery menu! It is nice though, and I do like eating there.
