Visit the Blackrock Inn quite regularly for Lunch as I'm working just around the corner in the office blocks in the Riverview business park. Discovered this one day a few days after starting work here when a colleague I was spending lunch with recommended we head to the Blackrock Inn around the corner. The setting of the pub is lovely, overlooking the Mahon estuary and on the doorstep of the Mahon Golf Club with gorgeous scenic views looking out over the water, and seating is available outside which makes the lunch hour even more spectacular on beautiful sunny days. The interior of the pub is that of a standard pub, carvery is offered inside on most days. The decor is pretty outdated, but in my opinion this does create a nice homely atmosphere. The staff are always friendly and will go out of their way to assist. The best example I have of this is when I was unsure of what to order for lunch and the carvery chef was allowing me to sample the food before I placed an order, and to be honest you don't see this in many places. Food is great, tasty and wholesome! Cant complain in anyway, its simply supurb. Although the pub is a bit hidden, once found, you'll never want to leave. A true gem! - Patrick

I have ate here a number of times with family and friends they have a great selection of food to suit everyone. great for sunday dinner but quite busy with families if you dont mind a little noice. staff are really healpful. Food is good value.

Best pub grub in Cork. Very good value for money. I would recommend the fish cakes for starter and the steak or curry for main course. Large portions and their fries are home cut!
