We took a well earned break in Scotts from our last minute Christmas shopping last month and could have sat there all afternoon soaking up the fantastic atmosphere! The hustle & bustle was fanstistic and Scotts is definitely a very popular place with the hungry shopper as was evident from the queue for the carvery lunches. I choose roast lamb, accompanied with lovely creamy mash, herby stuffing, a nice crisp roastie and seasonal veg, my friend had the cod which was breaded and served with a tartar sauce. We were in a rush but couldn't resist sharing a warm double chocolate cake washed down with some good coffee. Next day I feel like a pick me up, i'm heading back here to soak up the atmosphere and definitely have one of the best carvery's dinners i've ever eaten! Only downside was it's a little chaotic, if you're friend decides to have a wrap/sandwich instead of a carvery dinner, it's a separate queue. Then it's a different queue again if you go for dessert. Plenty of waiting staff on the floor though so easy enough to get a table almost straight away.

This was such a great choice for a restaurant. We visited Cork about three weeks ago and came here on a reccomendation from our taxi driver. We came in for drinks and loved the warmth and the buzz of the place. The outdoor heated and very sheltered smoking area was a plus for my boyfriend. Food wise we were very impressed. We had mussells to start which were lovely. My salmon on taboulleh dish was really delicious and the cherry tomato dressing really made it stand out. My boyfriend had a pasta dish and really enjoyed it. We had a few glasses of wine and the meal in total was good value. There is a nightclub upstairs which wasn't really our scene, but luckily once it opened we had finished our meal and it didn't really disturb us. The staff were also really friendly and very helpfull...all in all we really enjoyed it and would reccomend it to anyone.

Great food with massive portions, fantastic service from friendly and helpful staff, comfy surroundings and amazing value for money. Overall a great place to eat right in the heart of Cork City where the staff can't do enough for you (and where the smokers amongst us are treated to a warm and comfortable smokers room, without feeling like lepers in the process.) Definitely a place to recommend to everyone wishing to dine out in the city, be it for lunch, dinner or just a quick snack.

The food here is really good chicken wings are to die for and the fish and chips are really good - good portion size and served with real homemade chips an salad. price wise it is ok maybe boarding on the pricey side - but the early bird is good value and it is in the city

I have eaten here both for lunch and evening meals. While the prices seem a bit on the expensive side at first glance, what you get for the price you pay is well worth it! Service is good and menu is varied.

went here for lunch with a friend of mine. i just got a sandwich and she got a full roast dinner. both of which were beautiful. there are preprepared sandwiched in a fridge by the till so you can grab one quick which is handy when your in a rush to go back to work. the roast dinner looked and tasted exceptional. th prices are very reasonable and well worth it. and with a dinner you get a free tea or coffee afterwards. very impressed and will go there again

Went here for Sunday lunch after a night on the town, was craving roast chicken, gravy and chips, and that is exactly what I got! It was fresh and delicious, there were about 10 of us and none of us were disappointed. Free coffee afterwards was a nice treat. Overall excellent value for money.

Had some ok breaded plaice here on a Sunday afternoon, could have been crispier, maybe under the carvery lights too long. Get free tea or coffee with hot main, which is a nice touch. Good spot to watch sport and chill with a drink. A bit price really for what i got, €11.50 for plaice, with small salad and chips, €11 for lasagne salad and 2scoops of mash. Will go again as a last resort if hungry.

I have eaten in Scotts several times, not because it is particularly good but because it is convenient. The food is a bit hit and miss. Sometimes it is really good and other times inedible. It all depends on the which chef is there. I was there about 2 weeks ago and had john dory with potatoes cooked in red pesto. The fish was over cooked and the potatoes were hard. They have also changed there menu and have taken off the risotto which is a shame because that was usually very good.
