Don't let a long queue put you off - they get people seated really quickly. I had chicken wings to start on a recommendation from a friend, but I didn't really like them. The main course - chicken burger with pesto mayo and the dessert - strawberry pavlova more than made up for it. The main was so tasty and you aren't left hungry! The dessert was very generous as well, with plenty of fruit and plenty of cream. Good spot for casual dinner, might be a bit pricey for lunch, worth a visit for the desserts alone!

My partner and I ate here one Saturday night… My partner had lived in Cork years ago and had fond memories of Scoozis and was not disappointed on his return… We shared garlic mushrooms to start, he had a ginormous (!) burger for main and I had the chicken pesto bap… Somehow we managed dessert too – we shared the malteser cheesecake… The potions are very generous so one dessert was definitely enough for two… This is a lovely restaurant – the food is good and reasonably priced…. What gives Scoozis the wow factor for me is the staff – there were plenty of them, all busy and attentive… The manager helped out with seating people – we certainly received a warm welcome

Scoozis has a great menu, something for everyone. Nice atmosphere, always a good buzz in there, and the food doesnt disappoint. The portion size can be a bit disappointing ( for example the tiny pizzas) but overall you will come away happy! The spicy chicken wings are particularly good! Also a great place to go for coffee and a cake during the day!

I love Scoozis for comfort food. I had forgotten just how much though! I meet some old college friends once a month and we decided on Scoozis as none of us had been there in ages. It was just as I had remembered it with just a touch of a face lift! The food was a good as ever and good value for money and the pavalova is simply to die for. The atmosphere wouldnt be fantastic but then I'm not one for loving to have to sing Happy Birthday to random strangers in the restaurant when they put it on the music system but thats the only thing that bothers me about Scoozis, everything else is exactly what you expect from a family orientated restaurant.

Old friend brought me here as been here loads herself. Couldn't book a table so we went earlyish and waited in a short queue. Warm chicken salad, small bbq pizza and penne with meatball sauce all excellent, fresh and delicious. We shared a dessert of strawberry meringue washed down with chilled Peroni. Service was fabulous and although the restaurant was packed, staff were efficient, friendly and calm. No pressure to eat up and get out. Just lovely. And under €80 for three people!

Had an early dinner in here yesterday. Short wait when we got in but I've seen the queue for this place wind down the street so was glad that we didnt have to wait outside. We were given a menu to look at while we waited. Service was quick once we were seated. We shared a bruschetta for starter which was really nice and plenty for 2 people. For mains we ordered the Pesto burger with swiss cheese, bacon, hazlenuts and basil pesto mayo. This was really good and would order it again. We also ordered a Creole burger. This was just ok, wasn't half as nice as the other burger and wouldn't recommend it. Burgers served with chips/baked potato, side salad and delicious homemade coleslaw. Came to about 36 euro. Not exactly cheap for burgers and chips but a nice enough meal. Would go back but try something different

have been going to scoozis reguarily for almost 10 years and it never fails to impress. The food is great have enjoyed everything i have there over the years but the chicken wings are amazing! gorgeous pizzas, burgers and pasta dishes. the atmosphere is always lively mainly due to the restaurant always being packed. Great place for a group night out. Staff are very friendly even though they are really busy. sometime the queue can be annoying but to be honest the thoughts of the chicken wings get me through the wait and the queue always moves fast.

Scoozis never fails to deliver on quality and price, I hadn't been there for a while and forgot how good it was. My only crib is that the tables for a bit confined and close together. The desserts are to die for and in all this is a great value restaurant for all occasions.

Cork is one of my fav places to eat as the standard is generally so high due to lots of competition. With that in mind - I can easily recommend Scoozies as my favourite place to eat during the day. The food is just great value for money, lots of italian style food with cheese on top of most items, some of the largest portions of pasta I've ever seen and yet no skimping on flavour or quality. The staff really are excellent (always running around and genuinely nice people) and this restaurant almost always has a queue to get in - which says it all really. It is perfect in it's class of cheap eats, ideal for the whole family whether it's a birthday or just sunday lunch. The last visit I was on a hen weekend and steered everyone to Scoozies - while we had to wait 10 mins to be seated - not one of my picky friends could fault the place! Excellent value for money and good clean food.

Came here on a wednesday night and it was quite busy.. we had made a reservation and when we came into the restaurant we were not greeted by anyone, which is something they are usually quite good at. A couple standing next to us, who had been there before us, ended up leaving after a good bit as nobody asked them if they wanted a table. The person in charge was a lady that night and she was seen to be shouting across to other staff. It was only a waitress that noticed we were waiting for so long and took our name. Our waiter was ok, but didnt seem too bothered. Food was lovely though. Pasta dishes were had by 2 of us and i had chicken wings. lovely sauces i have to say. They are mostly a friendly staff there. Desserts quite lovely as well.

This is very good little restaurant that always has very freindly staff and quality food. When busy food at times can not be best but usually hits the spot. Could do with updating menu even though the choice is still quite good.

Visited this restaurant with some friends, waited about 15mins for a seat without making a reservation so not too bad for a Saturday night. For starters I had the Bruschetta which came in a very generous portion, this was tasty indeed. For my mains I went for the burger option, I got the Creole burger with Red Pepper puree and sautéed red onions, with a side of fries. The toppings were tasty but the burger was dry and not at all juicy taking away from the delicious toppings. Dessert was the Baileys and Malteaser cheesecake, this was tasty and again a very generous portion. Service was just ok, staff could've have smiled more and not seemed like we were an inconvenience or just rushing to take our orders. Understandably it was busy but that doesn't mean service for existing customers should the lacking. No staff checked to see if we were happy with our food while we were dining and we had to take a bottle of water from a nearby table as our server pretty much did not attend to us unless it was to give the food or to take away our dishes.

Been there a number of times. Staff are always very pleasant and very efficient. Though the restuarant is always very busy you'll never be waiting long for a table or your food. The restuarant is always busy and has a great atmosphere. It's a great spot for a party. The food itself is very much American style food though it include pastas and pissas. It's always very tasty but slightly on the expensive side for what you get. Most dishes are served with chips and salad.

Like another poster, I literally stumbled across this place as it's on a little side street. Has a few tables outside but as they were full we went inside for a bit of lunch. The place was really busy which is always a great sign. Got seated pretty quickly to be fair...although i understand why because our food was out within a couple of minutes. As lunch menues go I've seen much better deals - especially in the middle of the recession - and if i'm paying a bit more I'd like to sit over it a little longer. The food was lovely, although i was expecting the burgers to be a bit bigger! I've had burgers where the bun is too small for the burger as a result of a HUGE burger but our burgers just had a really small bun! Can't complain about the quality of food though, it was lovely, just a little expensive for what we got. A nice place for a bit of lunch but I wouldn't really recommend for a dressy big night out - just a bit more casual than that.

Scoozis is the perfect place for lunch to take a break from shopping. When I was there there was a bit of a wait to get a table (but this goes to show how popular it is). The wait was definitely worth it, the staff were very good, the food was perfect and the price wasn't too bad. Definitely somewhere I would go back to again and again :)

Had to queue to get into this restaurant. It is so popular. Ordered chicken dish with cheese, it was superb. The food is glorious. Service excellent. After having queued for so long as soon as we got in we were looked after well. Great value for money too. One of the best restaurants for food. The only thing I found was the seating was only o.k.

I popped in here with my friend in the evening hoping to just get teas and desserts. We were expecting to be told that we may not be able to do that seeing as it was evening time but we were wrong. All the staff were more than welcoming, we were shown a table and given a jug of water before we even ordered. I got one of the specials, Snickers Cheesecake which was divine. It was really light and fluffy and served with hot toffee sauce. My friend had Apple & Strawberry Shortbread Meringue Pie. The portion was HUGE and to die for. Overall, it was a great experience and a lovely way to spend the evening.

Went for breakfast with a friend. Was quite busy and hard to find a nice table but we did in the end and I had the full breakfast which is very reasonably priced at 6euro and my friend had the poached eggs for 4euro... Both was very nice, the tast and relish aspreacially I thought! I also had a mocha and my friend a coffee with free refills! :) Would come back I think but preferably when it is a bit quieter in there.

There's a caotic atmosphere here! I usually go here with family with children or with a friend for a chat over lunch. Very loud. Very friendly and bustling. Not reccomended if you want a quiet meal! The food is good. Always a crowd pleaser. You know exactly what your going to get when you eat here. No frills, no fuss. Just food. The service is ok. They're very busy and sometimes stressed but always friendly. The value is what people go for. Its cheap and has large portions. I will return here again but its not my favorite place to go. Average.

Love this place. Foods amazing, and desserts are just lush. Staff are so helpful and friendly, very welcoming and make you feel special with the treatment. Went here 2 years ago with a group of about 20 for a hen night for a meal. When we got there, we discovered that we had our own private table in the private alcove section which was a lovely personal touch. We had our own waiter and he even joined in the fun with us and made it a great fun night. Bride to be had a great night here, set us up for a great night out. Atmosphere fab and decor has lovely old feel to it. Love this place everything about it.

Went there with a group of friends for a birthday celebrations. They had decorated the table with balloons and hats which was lovely. The portions were big. The food was good and the desserts were fantastic. The mars bar cheesecake was lovely and the baileys and maltesers cheesecake outstanding. They brought the birthday girl´s dessert with a candle on it and played "happy birthday" which was a nice touch. The service was slow though. Great buzz and value for money.

I went here for my friends birthday and what a disaster, had to sit and wait for a table for the best part of an hour. the staff were rushed off their feet so dont know if thats what the lack of social skills was down to or what it was but felt like i was intruding by being there. its only redeemable quality is the unbelievable chicken wings which made it nearly worth the wait. i suppose i was so hungry by that stage toast would have been unreal. was squashed into a small table that would have fit two confortably not 5. would never go back

Scoozi's is great for a crowd before a night on the town and great for families too. You can be a little loud and there is no problem. No airs and graces is what I like about Scoozi's, it's comfortable and the food's not bad either! It's not innovative but it is a crowd pleaser, good service and affordable.

I went for lunch here last week & as always it didn't disappoint. The service & atmosphere were excellent. It was busy, so we had to wait for about 15 minutes for a table, but as any regular knows this is quite common. The food was quick & tasty. For anyone who hasn't been here before, you can't expect top class food, but if it's basic pizzas / burgers / chips / lasagne you are after, it is a good spot. I thoroughly enjoy eating there.

Went for a meal here recently, with a few friends. The staff were very helpful and friendly. But the food was unfortunately disappointing. My friends burger was overdone and my flamming chicken was swimming in sauce. It was perhaps a once off, cause i have eaten here numerous times before and have enjoyed their food. I dont think however that i will be returning.

Visited on a busy sat evening and didnt have to wait too long. Nice busy family kind of atmosphere - Eddie Rocketish, but nicer! Food was delish (ceaser salad and pizza), although pizza was more like a kids pizza - very small!! We got our starters before our drinks which bugs me and the waitress was a bit snappy when I looked for the drinks! Overall, cheap and cheerful with tasty food! Desserts are huge by the way!

A pity I had to wait thirty five minutes between my starter and my main course and all I got for an excuse was"a mix up in the kitchen".The food was very tasty and good value and I hope to visit again very soon.

This was recommended by a friend & the day we went, there was a queue & we had to wait about 20 mins but it was worth it! Had a really great meal here last year, haven't had the chance to go back yet. The Mars Cheesecake is to die for. The dessert protions are huge so you should get one portion between two people. Can't wait to go back!!

I went here for lunch last monday. The atmosphere was lovely the staff friendly and the food tasty - what was there of it. I felt they were ripping me off with the size of portions. I ordered the burger and you should have seen the size of it. The plate is tiny and the burger is like a mini burger. For what you are paying it was joke. Didnt echo my sentiments to mgt but regret not doing so now.

This is a really good place for steaks, burgers salads etc.Very reasonably priced & good sized portions. The staff are very efficient. The only downside is the queues & that you feel they are rushing you out the door. Not a place where you can comfortably linger with a glass of wine after your meal. But when they are so busy that is understandable.

My husband, best friend and I went here for dinner one evening before heading out on the town. As always there was a wait for a table and we suggested sitting outside and the manager turned on the the heaters. We had a lovely, very reasonably priced meal. The portions are also a fairly decent size. The staff in here are really great and nothing is too much trouble. I really enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.

Scoozis can generally have a bit of queue but it's worth the wait. The standard of the food isn't unbelievable but the variety of the menu and the size of the portions means that it will satisfy any person; whatever their inclination. The prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly. There is a busy atmosphere that adds to the buzz of the place. If it's your birthday, they'll bring you out your dessert with candles and the whole restaurant generally joins in to sing you 'Happy Birthday'. Be sure to get your dessert for free if that's the case!

I have been to this restaurant so many times and each time I love it more and more. The atmosphere is what really makes it a Cork institution. Truely you cannot live in Cork or visit Cork without beign a fan of the infamous Scoozies. The food is quite simply great comfort food. Pizzas, burgers, pasta, chicken. All with a big side of spuds or chips and salad. The last time I was there I had the Pollo ala Scoozie which is a play on a chicken kiev only stuffed with cream cheese and garlic. it was really lovely. Its a great place to go for a family dinner. The desserts are simply to die for and I would say 1,000,000 calories per bite. Great value and the staff would practically eat your food for you they are so nice. Very casual and welcoming, not fine or fancy dining but I love it all the same!

Scoozi's do the most fantastic burgers and desserts. However, avoid at all costs if you're on a diet and ESPECIALLY if you're looking to get in and out fast. The queue is out the door most luchtimes.

Not a good experience, firstly we were left waiting for a table for over an hour even though we had pre-booked. Secondly the mushroom starter was really undercooked and the pizzas very soggy. I've heard good things about Scoozi's so I'm putting my experience down to a bad day but it has put me off going back! Reasonable prices though...

I have been to Scoozis several times, and the only bad thing is the queue, which is a good sign for any restaurant. It's very child friendly and you will be greeted by a large fridge inside the door with loads of freshly made cakes, mouth watering. I always get the wings to start, beautiful and the chicken pasta with pesto and pine nuts for main, and to top it off a large slice of pavalova or banoffi pie. Yum - It's a beautiful restaurant in Cork and I would recommend it highly.

A large group of us went here for a hen night. We had our own private section of the restaurant and what seemed to be our own waiter. The food was superb and there was a really good atmosphere. I would recommend booking in advance though, as there is often a huge que...which can be seen running down the street.
