Went in to the bar restaurant area at lunch hour and the bar and eating area were very busy. I ordered a steak which was served as requested with salad and fries. The steak was excellent, and the staff knew their job and service was very good. This was my first time to visit clancys and I will be back to this premises where prices are realistic and good food. The bar is a bit noisy, but this is to be expected on a busy Saturday lunch hour.

We went to Clancys as a group of 7 and it was so noisy we could not talk. The restaurant is downstairs in the bar and the place was packed and people were sitting around us drinking so no comfort as you would normally get in a restaurant. Food is very American in style, chips served with every dish and burgers etc on the menu, food tasted good but the servings were huge and there was so much food went back on the plates it was a shame. Price was good also but wouldn't go back.

Went here for dinner in a party of 17. The staff were lovely, service was prompt but food was awful. I had the veggie pasta option which was horrendous. It tasted like a can of double cream poured over some mushrooms and pasta. It was so rich and yet bland that I was sick afterwards. Would never ever go back. Also, the DJ played about 6 songs on rotation. Just overall weird.

this is a fine place to go for lunch i went there every day for a week when on jury duty and i have to say the food was superb, there was usually about 20 there altogether and we never had to wait long for the food to arrive and when it did it was top class

Had a panini for lunch. Simple, tasty, was served quick despite being very busy .. the longest wait was in line to order. By the time I paid my sandwich was ready. The hard part was finding a seat, but to be fair it was during the lunch rush... a bit awkward walking around the bar looking for a place to sit while holding your food. Its worth a shot if your looking for quick bite for a reasonable price. There was also proper main courses that could have been ordered.

Ive always been a fan of this restaurant as its €7 steak and chips deal is great! I have also found the service good here in the past! However on the 2nd of january I met some friends here for lunch and was totally disappointed. Initially, as we ordered, the waitress nodded while sipping on a can of coke and barely paying attention. I ordered a Vol au vent which I expected to take a few minutes and I specifically requested no tomatoes anywhere on the plate as I am allergic to these. both of my friends ordered sandwiches and all of these came with crisps but we requested wedges also. one of my friends and I received our food and were told that the wedges were not ready yet. also my side salad had tomatos on top which I removed. 20 minutes went by, no sign of wedges or my other friends food. As I ate my salad I discovered just in time that there was another layer of tomato. the two of us who had actually gotten our food finished, no wedges, no other meal. We requested the wedges and were told we had been given crisps as a replacement. Crisps were already included and we had paid extra for the wedges! crisps are not an equivilent for wedges we had specifically requested and it annoyed me they had not told us they were not giving us wedges. after requesting the third meal a second time and receiving no response, we cancelled it, asked for the money back and left very annoyed and disappointed. Wont be rushing back any time soon.

Lovely atmosphere and good Irish food. Always tasty and filling and excellent value for money.

Clancys is a great bar but Ive eaten at the upstairs restaurant and it is great , Steak and other mains of my guests where excellent . I will definitely be back . Good Irish food served very professionally

Visited Cork recently, and had a meal here with my partner. I love my steak & have dined in many steak houses, must say Clancy's would be near the top of my list for steak. I ordered Medium Rare & it was cooked to perfection for me. My partner had the Irish Stew which she thought was very tasty. The service was good & overall we thoroughly enjoyed our night. Live music after our meal was also a plus. I would defo recommend Clancy's if you're ever visiting Cork.

Would definately return for the steak! Was a long wait before we got our starter and then was quite hungry enough for main course. Also think at least one side dish should come with the main course.

Have only ever eaten in Clancy's during the day for carvery lunch and am always delighted with what I get. Food is fantastic, portions are huge and it is most certainly value for money.

The food here is always quite nice I think. Not a steak expert but always thought they were really tasty. Often pop in for the 7 before 7 deal where you get a steak and chips with pepper or garlic sauce for €7 before 7pm. For the price it's fantastic and the service is always quite good so if you're looking for some nice grub check it out.

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Cork! The service is always speedy and the food is great!

Ate here recently and ordered steak, My fillet which was requested medium rare was very overcooked. When I brought it to the staff's attention I was told the Chef says 'sorry about that', Great but does the chef not realise he ruined my dinner !! Would not recommend, I work on the basis if you can't cook a steak right, you shouldn't be serving food.
