Decided to try this restaurant as had heard good things about Milano in Dublin but was very disappointed. Menu choice was very poor if not into Pizza. I ordered chicken but spent most of the time searching my plate for it!! My co-diner ordered the pizza and enjoyed it. Service was slow and staff not friendly. Found it quite expensive too. Would not go back and to be honest we ended up eating take-out later as we wer still hungry.

Visited this Popular cork eatery on Oliver Plunkett Street on a august Saturday. All the staff very very friendly and efficient, delicious pizzas and dessert. Ideal for familys and those in search of a quick and tasty meal. One of the better Milanos would def recommend.

This place is good its well set out it has a nice ambiance. The staff are good and the service is pretty good. The pizza is really what you go to eat here and the garlic bread with cheese. The other pasta dishes don't really do it for me. What is great is that if you log on to their website and sign up every now and then they e-mail you meal offers. I have been here a few times and this particular restaurant in the chain is pretty good

I generally like this restaurant. It is casual, friendly and good value, especially if they are doing the '2 for 1' offers. The antipasta platter is a fantastic starter and would feed 3 easily as a shared starter. We all had pizza, and each was lovely, and the dolcetti (coffee and mini desserts) are a great way to end without breaking the bank. Staff are usually good here but were seriously lacking on our last visit, even though it was very quiet. We actually had to go to 'find' a waiter to get the bill!

The restaurant wasn't as sophisticated inside as it has appeared from outside especially with 3 tables with young children however we were given a nice table a little out of the way. My funghi di bosco pizza was very tasty and I enjoyed the extra thin base. Unfortunately it was cold before I was half way through it. Great restaurant interior decoration esp the big traditional christmas tree! The atmosphere was young and lively for a Sunday evening and I found the staff polite, friendly and prompt.

Ate here for a work Christmas Party with a group of about 20. The atmosphere suited us, as we were a large (and fairly boisterous group) but I don't think I would rate it highly on atmosphere for couples or families. The food was fine but nothing special. The roasted tomato appetiser was very good, but I thought the arancini balls and the padana pizza lacked flavour, particularly the pizza. It did seem to be freshly made but tasted much like the type of frozen pizzas you could get in a supermarket. The gelato was good. The value was good at €25 per head for four courses and part of the profits go to Oxfam too. The service was efficient but abrupt, not particularly friendly.

I said we would go back to try the pasta or the pizza - after our 1st visit on the 6-Aug-10, Which also was a very enjoyable experience. We had the Bosco and the Chicken Caesar salad, Coppa gelato and 2 cafe latte - all again very nice. So we said we would so back . And we did 31-Aug-10. We had theTagliolini Funghi and lasagna which were both very good. Again the Coppa Gelato was very nice to finish the meal. We will be going back, next time it will be Pizza. Staff and Atmosphere was very good. They give you a warm welcome and are just as nice when you leave aswell. It is calm and enjoyable place and we like it. No feeling of you having to rush you meal, to give up your table. Great. *****

Been to Millanos loads of times. I love the pizzas here so much so that I don't recall ever have pasta in this restuarant. I think for pizza they amongst the best in Cork. The restaurant is very child friend and therefore can be quiet noisy at times. Staff are very efficient and friendly(in general). My son love the children menu which is one reason we are visiting the restaurant more regularly. For parents with young children there are going nappy changing facilities here.

Have been to Milano's on a few occasions and have not yet once been dissappointed with their pizza. Once I did have a chicken ceasar salad which was ok but nothing to rave about. If going to Milano ordering pizza is the only way to go. It's big open space is cheery. Great place for families with kids.

Myself and my boyfriend went here for a quick bite on Saturday. The lady serving us was excellent as she was always smiling and very polite. We ordered the calamari to share for starter. It was so soft and not chewy and tasted delish. It was my boyfriends first experience of having calamari and he was really impressed. He had a pizza with chicken, peppers and sundried tomatoes...so tasty. I had one of the leggera pizzas. I wasnt in the mood for a huge pizza so I thought this was such a great idea...cut out the middle of the pizza and fill it with salad. We had 2 coffees and a dessert to share. Price was very good and we will be going back again very soon :)

Went for dinner with my family. Had the Il Padrino pizza, Caesar Salad and a couple of starters. The food was quite interesting and tasted good as well especially the starters, Tricolore salad and Bruschetta. The staff were nice and friendly but the service was quite slow. On the positive side, very family friendly restaurant.

Went for dinner with two friends. Had the calabresse pizza, it was quite interesting and tasted good as well. Friends had pizzas from the leggera range and they liked it. The base was light and fluffy, the topping just nice and tasty. The staff were nice and friendly but the service was quite slow.

My husband and I called in for a quick, tasty lunch and that was exactly what we had. We sat out the front of the restaurant which was fine unless the main door was open causing quite a draft. I had the Chicken Caesar salad, my usual and it was just as good as last time. my husband had pizza that was really tasty and not too filling. The large glass of wine is pricey considering the glass isn't huge itself.

This was our ValentinesDay visit to Milanos. Couldn't get a table on sat and booked for sunday but than couldn't make it so we went two days later which was nicer anyway because the restaurant was not as busy as on the weekend. Food was great as usual, we had the sundried tomatoes as mini starter and then the tricolore and bruccetta with tomatoes and rocket which was really nice. There was some kind of sweet balsamic vinegar on the bruccetta which I really adored! Then my boyfriend had the pesto pollo pasta and I got the new really spicey pizza. Both delicous, pizza was just about right hotwise but it was indeed very spicy! The pasta was very nice and aldente and the pesto sauce tasted nice and basely. As a desert we both had the mini deserts they offer now with a coffe and a little cup of ice cream.. Just the right size to not feel bloated after the big meal! :) Will definitly return agian and again and again...

Had lunch here for two with a 2 for 1 main course for €15. Excellent value as you can choose from the normal menu. Mains were the tagliolini fungi which was very tasty with lots of creamy mushroom sauce, and a Padana pizza Romana style (i.e. flatter 14") - with goats cheese, red onion and spinach. Have to say both mains were equally good, and staff and service were excellent.

I went here for a quick bite to eat with a friend of mine on a Saurday evening. I got one of their pizzas which was delicious. The menu offers a wide choice of pizzas, as well as a selection of pastas and salads. Service was a bit slow, although I think that was because the place was full and may have been a little understaffed! Great place for a really good pizza! Would definately recommend.

Milano's is one of my favourite restaurants. It is bright and airy and you are not sitting on top of your neighbouring table like in many other places. It is nice to be able to see the chefs at work on the food, and all the staff are friendly and efficient. It is good value for money. The only warning I would give out is that it is an Italian restaurant...so don't go looking for a burger and chips :).

Visited here with sis today for a late lunch. The place is always hoppin, and does a tremendous trade, but i can't be certain as to why... There is always a wait to be seated, but the staff are often unsure of the queuing order and this leads to angry people. When we were finally seated, we read the menu eagerly. It is a long menu for pizza, less so for pasta. There is a good choice for starters or mouthfuls. We ordered two pizzas, and the doughballs (for the extra carbs!) My sister had a coke and i ordered a small glass of pinot grigio, although at 6.95 a small glass, it was the best out a poor choice. Our food took forever, i mean ages. and the service was less than efficient. The pizza was fine, a nice chew from the base, but those awful rubbery black olives are really insulting. The doughballs were in a bowl that showed the lack of them! The garlic butter served with them was rock hard form the fridge. The bad service, mediocre food and expensive wine made for a less than brilliant dining experience. Grand for a big crowd, no good for two.

I had the Margherita Leggera which was something new for me. Vert tasty. I will return for a longer dining experience. The service was 100%

Good casual Italian food Didn't need a booking as there was ample seating space for our party of four. The atmosphere was quite casual with simple decor. Staff were mostly Italian, which added to the authenticity and were quite prompt in taking our order. My previous visit here though I had problems getting the waitress to actually get our order. I had a very delicious canelloni served in a little wok amidst yummy pasta/cheese sauce and cleverly slightly charred at the edges but moist in the middle. I would definitely go back!

Milano's does great pizza. The pasta is best avoided as it is generally disappointing and the pizza is among the best in Cork where as the pasta isn't so best to stick with it's classics! The evening I went it was very busy yet we were served relatively quickly. There was a bit of a mix up with the order so our starters arrived the same time as our main courses. To make up for it we were offered free desserts so couldn't really fault the service as these things do happen. It is v family friendly and has a children's menu. It doesn't take bookings unless your group is over 8. Not a place for romance but good for lunches and groups.

Went to Milanos a few weeks back and really enjoyed the experience. The pizzas are really tasty, I just can't understand why you need to ask for them to slice the pizzas? The staff are very friendly and appear to be mostly italian which adds to the atmosphere. It was really busy the evening we went there however we were not rushed out of our seats once we had finished eating. Will definitely be back again!!

Went here in a group of four tonight, for a very early dinner. We had no trouble getting a table. We all had pizza and everyone was happy with their choice. The table was a bit small for four people, with glasses and big plates it became a bit crammed. Service was just about OK. The waitress waited less than 5 minutes after we sat down to come and take our drinks order. After that we had even less time until she came to check whether we wanted to order - despite seeing that we were all deep in conversation and certainly hadn't had time to review the menu. All this despite the restaurant not being very busy yet. It made me (and everyone else at the table) feel rushed. The food is OK and prices aren't excessive. Desserts are expensive, though. This wasn't my first visit and I would go back. However, it wouldn't be my first choice for a comfortable dinner with friends.

I was really looking forward to going to this restaurant as I had been to the one on Baggot Stree in Dublin. It was a Monday night so did not expect much of an atmosphere. Staff were condescending and unhelpful! I recommended the restaurant to four friends and they were all disappointed. Very expensive, €6.25 for a glass of house white!!! Food was good but expensive.

Had a terrible first experience in this place but came back a second time and it was great. Food is expensive, for what it is, but it is really good pizza! The only thing I don't like is when you order a soft drink and they bring it to the table ina 500ml plastic bottle version (like coke) and it just doesn't really work for a restaurant like this.

Lively atmosphere when you arrrive but thats about it ! This place used to be good and as a parent was one of the few child friendly restaurants in Cork that you were made welcome. My last two visits here however have ensured I will never go back. Service was slow, indifferent and sullen. Had to request the crayons etc for kids like it was a huge favour.Pizza base was soggy and toppings were on the skimpy side. No tip left and no futher custom. Sorry Milanos but you got to earn our hard earned cash.

Great food, fresh and consistent and the service is always excellant. I like the noisy atmosphere and its a great place to bring kids but not good if you are looking for a quiet meal. The food is not too expensive but the beer is ridiculously expensive for a pizza joint

Milanos pizza is always good and fresh too, but compared to other Milanos restaurants I thought this place was too big and bright. There were also a huge amount of noisy kids here for a Sunday evening/night, which doesn't really add to the atmosphere. The food was good, however, the nibbles to start of olives, sun blushed tomatoes and nuts were very tasty and the pizzas as good as ever. Our waiter wasn't the fastest though. Nice to visit here for a quick bite.

There is nothing spectacular about this place. The decor is bland, the service indifferent and the food merely adequate. While I admit they do good pizza I would steer clear of the pasta as it truly exposes the fact that Milano is simply a polished up fast-food joint. I had the misfortune to try the lasagna which, although certainly edible, could just as easily have been bought in the chilled food section of tesco. I have been to other restaurants in this chain and found them much more enticing than this particular one. Pop in for lunch if you are passing by, but don't book it if you're looking to go out for a nice meal.

I absolutely love Milano. It has a friendly atmosphere and most important to me it's child friendly. I love their new menu for kids my daughter felt very grown up with her three courses the same as her Mum and Dad. Service is quiet good and staff are very friendly. Food is gorgeous.

Milano is a relaxed, and comfortable restaurant which offers an impressive choice of simple and gourmet pizzas, some pasta dishes, and a range of delicious and generous starters and deserts. Service can be a bit lax. I've often had fellow diners put this down to the time it takes to prepare pizzas from scratch, but I don't believe that's all there is to it. Expect to wait upwards of 30mins for your main course so this really isn't a place well suited to people who want to eat in a hurry. If you're going to try it, I'd recommend the seasonal pizzas which are always unusual and generally very delicious.

Get Dough Balls! We know it's just dough and garlic butter but simplicity is perfection. Pizza, pasta and salad all as good as each other eat in or take away, actually we would not recommend the salads to take away as they often add some warm bread sticks which cause the salad to wilt. Service can sometimes be a little slow especially at weekends, once we waited 45 minutes and got a plate of nuts to apologize at that point as the waiter had not put the order through. However, the above has happened once in many visits and we will go back there!

Came here for a meal with friends on a weekend away and they were able to deal with our table of 13 people like we were just 2. The food is good what you would generally expect from an Italian restaurant and it's also good value.

Milano is a relaxed casual dining where the pizza is great. The wine list is extensive. While the pizza is great and the dough balls are to die for the pasta is a bit like something you might microwave from the supermarket although presented magnificently! Great for a night out with the girls!

I have been going to Milano's for years and the high quality of the food as well as the professional, efficient, friendly service has never disappointed. The success of a good restaurant is based on commitment to quality and consistency. Milano is a perfect example of that dedication. I was there last week and I already am looking forward to my next visit.

I don't like pizzas but this restaurant I can go to and enjoy a pizza. The place itself is lovely and spacious. The service is great and the value is next to none
