love this restaurant, regular visitor, food is great, service is great, staff very friendly. Some might think it is a little expensive but it is well worth the few extra cents. Dishes are a little unusual and very very tasty, best restaurant in cork!!

We walked in on a Saturday night to find an almost empty restaurant resulting in a very good service because she had little else to do. As we ordered we were offered bread and dips which we were pleasently surprised by as few restaurants do this and they were very nice. The menu was limited although quite good as was the wine list, which was also good value. To start we had the terrine which was a bit tough and a salad which wasn't very salady. Red cabbage with the duck was nice and the gravy was really good, more wedges would have been nice. We were full enough that we didn't require desert. The toilets were clean and well maintained but not that nice. We would definitely gone back again because the food was good but would have had a more pleasant dining experience had there been more people there.

We went here on Valentine's Night. The reason we chose the Continental was because there was a special offer on that night. The restaurant itself was very intimate and nicely decorated. The lady that greeted us was very welcoming. We were given a free glass of champagne for the night that was in it and offered a choice of table. During our visit there, a number of guests came in at different times that appeared to be regulars and they were greeted with hugs and called by their first names. The atmosphere was very nice and particularly suitable for our Valentine's meal. I had the duck and it was absolutely divine! It was cooked to perfection and the vegetables were very tasty. They were just right - not overcooked - you had the right amount of bite! I would definitely recommend this restaurant, especially for a romantic dinner.

Had a fabulous meal. Service was excellent. Food was top notch. Will definitely be back. Took a couple of marks off for atmosphere as it was quiet in there and it's a small room, so felt like we had to hush our conversation...

This is an excellent little restaurant, and Ive been several times, Ive yet to be disappointed, Ive had the duck which was amazing, last time I had the pate which was incredible and the sirloin steak that wasn't as good as the duck. The service is great, really friendly, chatty staff and a good value for money. Would definitely recommend

hmmm... the only problem with this restaurant is that I was sooo full that I couldn't finish my desert. food was great, we had salads as starters, then vegetarian black bean stew, my partner was in love with the meat... did not finish lemon pie with meringue and defo will go back to finish this. great food, reesonable prices and the owner chatting to you. hmmm....

3 of us had dinner here at 7.30 on Saturday evening, food was lovely - good quality & great value - and the service was perfect. Unfortunately there were only 2 other tables full while we ate there which did not lend itself to the atmosphere - so spread the world for a great value restaurant & improve the atmosphere!

While in Cork ona business trip, a client of mine brought me out to Continetal, describing it as one of Corks lesser known gems.. and they couldnt have been more right! The food was exquisite and the service impeccible! Im already looking for an excuse to go back to Cork!!

We walked passed the Continental many times without ever stopping....WHAT A MISTAKE! The food is absolutely divine, the service is impeccable, the prices are reasonable (they even have carafe's of very decent wine for under 15 euros). All it needs is a bit more people to make the atmosphere. Definitely one of the best suprises around Cork, so spread the word!

I had lunch here today, with about 12 work colleagues, and was very impressed. The manageress/waitress was incredibly friendly and charming. The place is nice and cosy. Everything on the menu sounded delicious it was difficult to decide. It's also quite a varied and unusual menu, with dishes from around the world. I had the goat's cheese crostini & a glass of wine. I've had better crostini's, but I was the only one at a table of 12 who didn't absolutely love the meal. Several of my companions had the polish pierogi, & I tried some - fantastic! I will definitely order it the next time. The food was very well presented, & there was something for every taste. I will certainly be back here.

This has to be my favourite restaurant in town! When you arrive you are greeted by a friendly face, and a basket of fresh bread is brought out for you! The menu is delicious, its always changing, and it is very varied. Its such great value for money also. The desserts are out of this world! The Polish Cheese Cake is a must! There really is no other restaurant in Cork like the Continental. Even the coffee comes with a little homemade biscuit! It's great food, great prices, great atmosphere and lovely friendly staff! Go and see for yourself!
