Went to Cafe Gusto for the first time last saturday night, myself and my wife. As they have the option of corkage, we opted to bring our own ( had recieved a present of a beautiful red that week), initially we shared a bowl of Olive along witthe the Chef's slate for starter, this was a combination selected by the chef. It consisted of Air dried ham, Chorizo, a hard cheese, a goats cheese, Hummus and Pesto , accompanied with breads. All of the above were extremely tasty , but both the Goats cheese and the pesto were second to none. For next course , we had the Lamb tangine and the Mediterranean fish soup. The tangine was lovely , but the fish soup (which had been recommened ) was beautiful, the taste of the fish came through above the taste of the other indgredients, leaving you in no doubt that it was a fresh fish soup. To finish we had the Meat Mezze, a combination of meat and cheese, this was opted for over a dessert, again could not fault it .... To finish , the service was attentive, the food lovely (was told that they source all their foodstuffs from ther English market by my wife) the atmoshpere was relaxed and we both left very contented. Finally, the value was outstanding, made more so by bringing our own wine, so we all won, the chef with his food , the staff by their service and we with our selected Wine ......

Anyone who wants good food+plus good atmosphere+good value, this is the place to come. You can bring your own wine and they have a wide range of tapas and also main dishes. Will definitely be returning here!

Really lovely little restaurant. All the seat are highstools which at first kind of put me off but then when i got used to it they seem to make the place! All the food is lovely. A selection of cold tapas for one euro each is great value. We were even given two smaller ones for 50cent each. You can bring your own wine and they only charge 4euro to cork it. Had panacotta for dessert which was devine and presented really well. Staff were very attentive without being over bearing. Will definitely be back and would recommend to all- they have something for everyone in this place!

Gusto has a great tapas/mezze menu, its well worth sampling the food variety - the mezze plates are ideal for sharing and the food is well prepared and presented. The cafe is very atmospheric and its a great place to casually enjoy wine and Mediterranean food with friends. We were slightly confined for space as our group of 5 did not fit comfortably around the small tables. The service was very friendly and attentive but our orders took longer than expected to be served.

CAFE GUSTO Is Cafe Gusto http://www.cafegusto.com/ in Washington Street in a class of its own when it comes to cafes in Cork? Coffee and scones (and more) in the morning, followed by a gradual build-up though lunch and then into even more substantial stuff late into the evening. The owners & staff are always working on something new, something even tastier, a better choice for you. And remember this is one of the few places you can bring your own wine. With its huge choice http://www.cafegusto.com/ and long opening hours, I don't think there is another venue like it in Cork. My visit this morning was for a cup of coffee and scone and that was served up with a smile and we enjoyed it. And then when Denis O’Mullane arrived on the scene, the talk (sparked by my recent reading of Mark McAvoy’s Cork Rock) turned to bands (Cypress, Mine!, the Frank and Walters, and Ruby Horse) and the connections between them and several Cork restaurants.

the food is 10/10. Beautiful wraps with gorgeous chilli sauce drizzled by the side for only €5!!!!!!! flying bacon in a wrap is my particular favourite.toasted or non toasted. Let down slighttly by the wait. my friend and i waited 25minutes on monday for our wraps and we were the only people waiting for food as everyone else was finishing up so ive no idea why it took so long. very crampeed also but the food is so great it wouldnt put me off. also buy ten wraps get one free!!!!!!!

Decided to try here for dinner last week. Saw a sign outside advertising BYOB so decided to grab a bottle of wine and bring it with us. They charged us €4 for corkage which seemed quite reasonable. We tried a few pieces of tapas initially which were €1 each and really nice. For a main course I tried the moroccan lamb tagine which was really tasty and came with cous cous. My friend had the meatballs which she really enjoyed and as she is a coeliac the waiter brought her spelt bread. The service was excellent too, there was only one waiter on when we were there but he managed really well even though it was beginning to get busy. Really enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere and will be back soon

Went there after work on a Friday for a glass of wine. The wines are lovely, even though the selection is not great but the quality is fantastic. They do tapas now for a euro and we thought it was a great idea. We had one with manchego cheese, chorizo and membrillo and another one with aubergine pate, courgette and halloumi cheese. Delicious!!and a great complement to the glass of wine. We will go back to try the mezze plates! Staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is good. The only downfall for me is the high stools as I don´t find them particularly comfortable to sit back and relax.

We went to Cafe Gusto for a bite to eat and a glass of wine after work on a Friday. The place itself is small but has a lovely cafe/bistro ambience and a nice seating arrangement. We took bar stools by the window. We were happy with the wervice, the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We had two mezze plates and wines by the glass. The wines on offer were very good quality and very good value. The food was exceptional, we really enjoyed it, particularly the dolmades and the haloumi. Would definitely come again and would recommend it.

Headed into Gusto for a quick lunch on Friday and was very impressed! The food is fab, portions are big and it's great value too! I had a wrap with hummus, tabouleh and other goodies and my husband had the flying bacon on a seeded roll, both were delicious! Others among us had the soup which was a winner too, coffee and cakes were top class! The table beside us had some of the tapas plates and they looked great! All seating is on high stools so probably not a place for very young kids but great for everyone else - go there!!!

went here recently for a quick lunch and was really impressed, had the flying bacon which was delicious, and the soup which was tomato and basil...proper homemade! There prices are very reasonable. All of their sandwiches are priced at €5. Ask for the focaccia bread it is the best..so fresh!

This place is really nice for a quick bite to eat at a reasonable price in cork city. there soup @ €3.45 is always so good and homemade and the sandwiches on focaccia bread are lovely @ €5. The only thing is it is always busy so you may have to wait for a seat but its worth the wait! There desserts are delicious too, try the carrot cake!

This place is brilliant for a bite to eat after work on Thursdays and Fridays. The evening menu is very tasty and terrific value. The wine is good too. The staff are pleasant and friendly and always make you feel welcome. In recessioanry times two people can eat very well here and have some wine and still have change out of €50

I have been there a number of times. The staff there are very helpful and pleasant. They stay open late a few nights a week which is great. Their hot chocolate is so nice and I'd definitely recommend it. Their coffees are also great and get a stamp card and then you get a free coffee!

Great cafe which is now open til late on Thurs - Sat serving tapas, wine and yummy desserts. Always good for their coffees there is a wide range of tapas and a build your own plate. Try the cupcakes, not officially on the menu but there were a few left from the day menu. They're really light and don't sink like a stone in your tummy. I'd love if they got rose but it's a small whinge. Comfy cushions!

Gusto is great for a quick bite and a coffee during the day. They take alot of pride in making the coffee and it really shows. I like getting a seat by the window and watching the world going by.
