Part of the Blarney Woollen mills complex in cork, Christys bar and adjoining carvery restaurant. Bar food is basic and overpriced toilets filthy, not a good advertisement for the coach loads of tourists that arrive here daily. Carvery recently re jigged and although food is better the service and queueing was chaotic the day we were there.

The atmosphere here isn't bad but the service was incredibly slow at the bar where you also had to order food (and there weren't that many people ordering). We got the soup and the cheese plate. The soup was carrot and coriander and was incredibly salty and the cheese came with no explanation of what it was or where it came from other that "local irish farmhouse". The best thing about this place was the location in Blarney Woolen Mills and the free wifi.

Had a great meal here on Thurs 9th Sept. The price was 55Euro for 2 with a bottle of wine. It was great value. The menu is varied and the wine selection was also very good. The food was excellent and the staff very polite and helpful. Will definately be back.

Ate here on Sat evening I had the salmon which had a very nice cream sauce, good selection of vegtables and potatoes too. The atmosphere was pelasant but the fire could have done with been turned on as it was a small bit chilly, good choice of desserts too.

A good big feed! Relatively plain food but plenty of choice and well cooked - recommend the cod! The place could do with a revamp ...

A Nice Grill Bar in the heart of Blarney. Went here for dinner with a friend back in January to celebrate, The restaurant is quite large with a small bar nice decor and really nice Service staff. We decided to Order off of the A la carte menu, Which was a very good menu, Ranging from pasta dish's, Irish stew, Pizza's, Steaks, Fresh fish and seafood. I decided to have the Seafood Chowder and my partner had Home made chicken Goujon's with BBQ dip and salad. My starter was gorgeous! really creamy and full of a beautiful mix of Prawns,Squid,Clams and mussles... it tasted delicious! and my friends chicken was beautiful, Real homemade chicken goujons not the shop bought or Brought in stuff, with a really nice dressed salad I had a steak sandwich with mushrooms and onions Chips and salad. and my friend had The southern fried chicken breast with sweet chilli jam, fresh vegetables and mash. We also Got a Side dish of Potatoe gratin each it was a rich creamy garlic potatoes with a Glazed cheddar cheese topping.. Which was Beautiful.. So much in fact we asked for 2 extra! Their Desserts are also Homemade which I really liked, I ordered a Fudge cake with a toffee and walnut sauce and my friend got the apple pie with cream and ice cream. A Really Nice Meal and only at 24 Euros ? Absolute Bargain

We had a meal here in January as part of a hotel break offer. We had starters and main courses only. Lovely environment and a pleasant atmosphere, the service was very good. Food was wholesome if a little unimaginative. (we both had different chicken dishes which were actually very similar) A good honest meal with few frills but good value for money. We would have lunch here next time we are in the area.

I ate here and returned several times and was always very happy with the food and service. Easily the best steak in Cork. My Wife had the Thai Red curry and it was all excellent. Starters and desserts were lovely too. Just a very busy place so get there early. Beware of the old Americans that this place sees a lot of. Quite often a large group come in at once and all share a pizza, then demand all sorts of silly things. The staff are very patient to even be able to deal with these type of people.

Dreadful service - it took over 45 mins before our food arrived. On top of that my meal was nearly finished before I received my side order of veg. The food itself was only average.
