Great carvery, tasty food, good generous portions, good value for money. I liked the atmosphere too, it was quite busy but there are plenty of booths and tables. I have also had one evening meal here and it was great too, home made chips and lovely beef I will definately be back. A great place for a casual weekend meal.

I don't eat carvery so I can't comment on that but I have ordered from the evening menu a few times and I enjoyed the food. It's harmless, honest-to-goodness large portions of the usual pub grub favourites. And I love the atmosphere of the Bishopstown Bar.

This a fairly standard pub and the atmosphere is fine. The food is a carvery which I don't really like to start with, but to be fair the selection is fine and there is a good choice of sandwiches. My problem is the coffee, impossible to get balck coffee and when I sent it back the waitress shrugged and said there was nothing that could be done as the machine is leaking milk!! Eventually filter coffee was offered but what arrived was obviously instant and poor instant at that.

If you're looking for decent Pub Food then Bishopstown Bar is perfect - no faults - good service, clean, helpful staff, high chairs available, plenty of seating.
